ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Welcome to The Lectionary Lounge! We hope that in your search for practical Bible commentary and sermon prep inspiration, you will also stick around for the vibes here in our little corner of the internet. Each week Pastor Byrnese (she/her) and Pastor Mikayla (she/her) will chat about what scripture(s) they are preaching on, as well as what in life is keeping them from writing their sermons in a timely fashion.
This week we discuss Genesis 32:22-31 and Matthew 14:13-21, two of the readings for the Tenth Sunday after Pentecost in Cycle A from the Revised Common Lectionary. Throughout the episode, we primarily look at the NRSVUE translation.
