ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Nancy Ensley has spent decades in professions that demand empathy and discernment. Nurse. Hospice specialist. Legal nurse consultant. Coding specialist. Teacher. Supervisor. Helping people navigate life's most critical moments.
She's learned that every story, no matter the genre, carries lessons worth sharing. Now she writes across memoirs, fiction, science fiction, mystery, thriller, action, and children's literature — each story rooted in family, faith, service, and lived experience.
She writes because it's how she listens. How she remembers. With five children, fourteen grandchildren, and a lifetime of observations, she's turned a life of service into a life of stories.
In this episode of The Honest Mic, Nancy talks about what hospice taught her about what actually matters, the life lessons that find their way into her writing, and what she'd say to someone trying to make sense of their own story.
If you're trying to understand your own story, this conversation is for you.
