Profit Roadmap System™ for GHL Agencies
This is a unique business model for GHL Agencies looking to offer more scalable deployment of systems to clients, faster results and more profitability thanks to it's 'productised' approach.
It includes 10 distinct systems, each designed as a standalone module (snapshot). These snapshots are installed into your SaaS customer's accounts gradually, over time, one on top of the next one like pieces of a puzzle. This approach contrasts with a single, expansive custom projects, which often proves tougher to market and deliver.
Profit Roadmap™ System and it's 'gradual rollout' method leads to faster fulfilment, onboarding, and delivery of results for your SaaS clients.

[00:01:53] Alistair's Achievements and Insights
---
[00:01:53] Vit Muller: We have Alistair, who I'm patiently waiting for him to book in for a one on one interview as well.
[00:01:59] Alex Schlinsky: ha [00:02:00] ha.
[00:02:01] Vit Muller: the co founder of the A Lister show and an award winning SaaSpreneur recently recognized for reaching a hundred SaaS accounts in a record time. If you guys haven't watched Alistair's socials, like, you definitely go back in time.
[00:02:14] Vit Muller: He's had, like, this really cool, whiteboard. He's just been drawing up the thing and sort of filling up this little, like, a bottle. Like, this visual of, you know, hitting
[00:02:22] Alister Shirazi: Thermometer.
[00:02:23] Vit Muller: mate, you, yeah, you've done it, like, in a record time. It was, like, a couple of months, wasn't it?
[00:02:27] Alister Shirazi: Yeah, like two and a half, three months, I went from pretty much zero to a hundred, I mean, 150 or so in like two, three months, just complete grind. And I learned a lot along the way and I can't wait to share what I've learned.
[00:02:38] Vit Muller: Yeah, mate, that's definitely. So you'll, you'll be covering things about the ad manager, the community events, and the new review trigger in reputation management. I think we've also squeezed in the voice AI, didn't we for that
[00:02:49] Alister Shirazi: Yeah. Yeah. I didn't notice that one wasn't on there, but I feel like that should probably be touched.
[00:02:54] Vit Muller: Yeah, absolutely. So yeah, very excited to have you dive into, into, you know, your perspectives on these things.
[00:02:59] Jared on Recurring Tasks and More
---
[00:02:59] Vit Muller: [00:03:00] loud, let's say hello to Jared from down under, or actually from Tasmania is that down under as well, right? Jared.
[00:03:06] Jarryd Holmes: The down under on the down under.
[00:03:08] Alex Schlinsky: Yeah,
[00:03:09] Vit Muller: there you go. So folks, Jared, you know, me and Jared go a long way back. We've worked together for a couple of, a couple of years on a few things, and I'm really excited to have him. He's really talented at what he does and he'll be, he'll be covering today everything to do with recurring tasks.
[00:03:26] Vit Muller: So if you want to be really organized, recurring task is a brand new feature. However, at least it's pretty exciting. So Jared's going to dive into that is also going to be talking about WordPress site cloning, Google drive integration in the media library and the exciting funnel AI and workflow AI assistant.
[00:03:43] Vit Muller: I think that one is sort of in a very early stages, but very exciting nevertheless. So thank you, mate. Thank you for being on.
[00:03:50] Jarryd Holmes: it's looking, looking exciting. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone share their pieces on this.
[00:03:54] Alex Shlinsky's Business Tips
---
[00:03:54] Vit Muller: 100 percent 100 percent Up next we have the legend, Alex, Alex [00:04:00] Shlinsky. Alex is a renowned business scaling coach, speaker and author. He is the founder of prospecting on demand and digital marketing mastermind group and sky social media, an agency specializing in services for personal injury attorneys.
[00:04:12] Vit Muller: I think that's an old bio. Sorry, Alex, you don't do that anymore. Do
[00:04:15] Alex Schlinsky: take it. No worries.
[00:04:17] Vit Muller: So guys, Alex is very passionate about coaching. That's his, that's his jam. And today he's going to be talking about, actually, what are you going to be talking about? I haven't had you picked your,
[00:04:26] Alex Schlinsky: Yeah, it's perfect. I want it to be a mystery, you know, like when it's a grab bag and you get the mystery flavor, you're like, what is that? Is that pineapples? It's strawberry. I'm just going to make you money. That's what I'm going to make you do. I'm gonna help you make money instead of just like focusing on a million features that you're never going to touch or do that.
[00:04:39] Alex Schlinsky: You're gonna be like, wow, that was so exciting. I'm never going to touch it. I'm going to decrease all of your overall and tell you exactly what to do to go make more money with high level. You're welcome.
[00:04:47] Vit Muller: I
[00:04:47] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: out of a hundred of them is like concrete soap or something. But you won't know which one.
[00:04:52] Alex Schlinsky: You won't know. You won't know. You won't know which flavor you're getting.
[00:04:55] Vit Muller: I love it.
[00:04:56] Charles Higgins on Broad CRM
---
[00:04:56] Vit Muller: Let's also welcome Charles Higgins to the table. [00:05:00] Charles, you're, you're, you're an edge case in, in, when it comes to SaaS, like everybody's really focusing on like, or promoting, you know, Go and Edge. But I think, There is a strong argument to why it's also effective to do broad. I saw your post today, there's somebody making a post about that, so we'll dive into that.
[00:05:19] Vit Muller: Guys, if you're new in the community, what I'm talking about is Charles, he's, you know, he's got a really strong background in CRM and he's, he's gone the broad, he's sort of, he's not really niched, he's doing really well at selling As it is, he doesn't really focus on services. He just focuses on coaching the customer and does it really well.
[00:05:37] Vit Muller: So he's a wealth knowledge in the community and he's really successful at what he does. And today he'll be covering setting your high level features as well, including new social planners, the advanced statistics, digital product delivery for e commerce. There's actually some pretty powerful things in there.
[00:05:52] Vit Muller: block importer mega menus in funnels and the revamped client portal. Client port large ports with the new contracts [00:06:00] functionality. So very thrilled to have you mate. Very thrilled to have you.
[00:06:03] Charles Higgins: Absolutely excited to be here. See everybody's take on all the new features and, see familiar faces that it just saw a few weeks ago. So, a couple week or so ago. So, now it's excited for it and, look forward to hearing what everybody has to say.
[00:06:17] Vit Muller: absolutely.
[00:06:17] Sharon's Digital Strategy
---
[00:06:17] Vit Muller: And, finally we have Sharon. Sharon, thank you so much for stepping in for Bound. I know Bound is on this, on the cruise and the mastermind cruise, I think it's called.
[00:06:27] Sharan Kaur: Yep,
[00:06:27] Vit Muller: So guys, yeah, he's definitely having fun. so guys, Sharon, she is the chief marketing officer at extendly for high level, where she brings her expertise in digital strategy and customer engagement to help agencies strive of high level today.
[00:06:40] Vit Muller: She'll be covering some of her topics from the new features, including the community chat feature, call up by lead connector and the client portal, by the way, the call up ads. incredible, like what high level is pulled off with, with Tony Robbins, with the mastermind group. That's actually, you know, it's, it's, it didn't get enough shout out.
[00:06:59] Vit Muller: I think it's going to be bigger [00:07:00] than what we think, you know, with his following. And I mean, it's, it's, it's him. And the, the other fella, I forgot his name, but Dean. Yes. Dean Grazio. Yeah. So Sharon, it's an honor to have you here as well and, and thank you for, for stepping in. And with that, thank you all for being here.
[00:07:18] Vit Muller: It's really privileged to have you, all of you here with your experiences in the group. So let's dive in.
[00:07:24] Diving into New Features
---
[00:07:24] Vit Muller: We have Less than two hours. Let's dive in into all the good stuff. we're going to try and keep it sort of on the clock, I guess. but you know, I don't want it too structured, but I guess we could all easily go on a tangent with all our little features.
[00:07:36] Vit Muller: So who would like to go first?
[00:07:39] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I could jump on in if anyone wants. I'll break the ice for everybody.
[00:07:43] Alex Schlinsky: break it.
[00:07:44] Michael's Top Features
---
[00:07:44] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Yeah, so there's a lot of features, and I've been thinking a lot about this. Like, a lot of people have been talking about how, There's this overwhelm of new shiny, right? So the five features that I picked, I tried to kind of keep them around a theme of what's going to [00:08:00] actually change the operations of your snapshots.
[00:08:02] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Like what's going to affect how expensive it is to manage or how much more scalable it can make things. Like, and when we're talking about scale, we're not just talking about delivering to clients. We're talking about training your team members, training your clients to actually use high level. And also just how do you build workflows?
[00:08:23] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So I'm going to run through pretty much mine really, really fast so I can get more to that because I would actually love to hear your guys feedback on that. And am I allowed to share in this, in this thing? I really hope so.
[00:08:34] Vit Muller: Yeah, I think you should, you, you should be able to. Yeah.
[00:08:37] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Lovely. Because a lot of my planning would have gone for naught if I wasn't able to. Oh, you're seeing behind the scenes. Cool, cool. So, the first, one that just. This one is one of those ones. It looks just like a pretty new shiny, but to me it actually is really foundational to how workflows go. It's the stickies and your action notes and workflow notes. And the reason why this is [00:09:00] really important is that it changes where you can put the information for training clients.
[00:09:05] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: One of the problems that I'm always dealing with is Having a separate document for your SOPs and your training. I like to have your SOPs where the work gets done. So, when you're building your workflows, One practice I've always advocated for is document as you go. And one of those things you document is what should be changed.
[00:09:27] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So in your workflows, if there's something that needs like an assigned to user. Hey, you need to put an assigned user. You can now have all of the action notes. So any note that you put on these actions now shows up in action notes. But now you can just see everything as a checklist at a glance without having to click through a whole bunch of stuff So this one's really really powerful and sticky notes.
[00:09:49] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Well, obviously don't need to explain much about that. We got a time to go through the next big one is conditional sending And a conditional sending and conditional elements in your [00:10:00] email builder, not the temp snippets. But what this one does without going through all of the digital features is that this is going to change how your workflows go.
[00:10:09] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Because before, if you wanted to send multiple emails to different people, you had to break it off into separate branches in your workflows. And, So it was kind of cumbersome, right? And you had to go and change it anytime you wanted to change something and send something different, you'd have to go in, make a new branch, and things were kind of really messy.
[00:10:28] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So by having a conditional send, which means I only want to show this image to people that fit a certain description at the time they send it. This is going to change your workflows and make them a lot more streamlined and a lot simpler. So I really liked this feature. Oh, my pride and joy, guys. I don't know who else got as excited, but I got into fights, yapping about this and making YouTube videos on, the group here.
[00:10:56] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: But the smart list for workflows, manual. You [00:11:00] are able to now allow you to put all of the clients workflows that they might want to use on a daily basis or need to set up. You can put it all along the top and now you can organize your snapshots and your folders in the most technically boring way you can imagine because all you can tell your clients, Hey, all your on step workflows need to be edit right up here.
[00:11:23] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: All the workflows you use on a daily basis right into this smart list. All the stuff for technical support needs, all down here, don't look at it. how am I doing for time there? Am I still, still doing good here?
[00:11:34] Vit Muller: Yeah, pretty succinct. I think, I think what we should do also is just keep it, keep it super short. Talk about like why you like in particular, I think you've done that. And now we can just jump in and have a bit of a round table. Like if anybody wants to add, you know, their, their take on, on what you've covered and then we move on.
[00:11:49] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Yeah, let's just stop there, man, because I, I think really all of the changes I, I, Like, I think those are the core ones. There's some other ones that are neat chat widgets and that, but these are the ones that are going to change [00:12:00] fundamentally how your snapshots are run managed and how you train your teams and your clients.
[00:12:05] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So, I don't know. What have you guys seen? That is my sounded kind of crazy. Or is anyone else kind of blown open by
[00:12:11] Sharan Kaur: Yeah, Mike, if you go back to the stickies for a moment, that right there changes, that changes the foundation of how, you know, the documentation for snapshots work. Because now instead of having, exactly like you said, instead of having to have a separate doc, Where it explains everything, anything where you need your customers to go in and edit or change something, you can just create a little to do list.
[00:12:34] Sharan Kaur: So, although that may seem small, I feel like that's a extremely powerful feature and it's gonna show up in your day to day life when you're building workflows a lot.
[00:12:45] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Now you should still be documenting and for your internal side, but yeah, it's it's the client side. That's so so different because like which workflows have all of these actions. Well, you need to document that. But yeah, no, I like that a lot.
[00:12:57] Vit Muller: I think it's what I like about it. It's like, it's like [00:13:00] in documentation, you should always have like a step by step guide. And then even if you have that now, it's just going to make it even more user friendly where they can just jump in and they can actually see on the sticky note as well. It's yeah, it's
[00:13:12] Vit Muller: really, Because every type of person has like a different learning style, right? Learning capability. So, you need to make information available. Multiple different modes for different types of learners, and this helps you do that. That's awesome.
[00:13:26] Matt Deseno: we, we've already started using it like an anti-fragile consideration there. So mostly for internal. So let's say you've got like a common. Template that you use for, a webinar or something like that. And, so we'll put it in the template is there. And part of the process to go live is when you do it, you delete it.
[00:13:42] Matt Deseno: And so now you can quickly pop in and be like, did you. Like the, did they do the thing instead of being like, ah, they ran the checklist. You just look at, you just quickly preview like, oh, sticky notes are all gone. That means all the steps were done. And, so an extra kind of like, it's always a challenge of like, how do you have [00:14:00] documentation, but then like, that has an element of accountability to it.
[00:14:02] Matt Deseno: So that's kind of a cool use
[00:14:04] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I really, I really like that. And, and what's great about when you do have things really documented and, in the workflow documented, if you see something, you can kind of tell if something was or wasn't done, be like, Hey, well, if that wasn't done, what else was it? So as a tech support, where you might be jumping into a client account, you're like, Oh wait, there's still some stickies.
[00:14:24] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Maybe some steps were skipped. It gives you those indicators, before you start trying to troubleshoot stuff. Right. So yeah, that's a great point.
[00:14:31] Charles Higgins: you know what this makes me,
[00:14:33] Alex Schlinsky: go ahead, Charles,
[00:14:34] Charles Higgins: you know, what this makes me think of, you know, we've got, and we haven't talked about this yet. I don't know if anybody picked this, but we have snapshots coming to the marketplace man, would it be nice to like have that requirement of. That in snapshot documentation for all these accounts that are going to go grab these snapshots.
[00:14:52] Charles Higgins: What a perfect time for all these additional notations to come into workflows as we get into, you know, snapshots, [00:15:00] in the marketplace being released. So,
[00:15:02] Snapshot Selling and Marketplace
---
[00:15:02] Vit Muller: that's a perfect segue into one of the things that I pick. So let's talk about it. Snapshot selling support in the mark, in the marketplace. I've dived into it. I haven't positioned myself yet on the marketplace. I have to go through the, through the,the developer registration, but guys, for those who listening as well, there will, there is now an ability for you, if you're a snapshot developer to, to, to apply to register as developer and you'd be able to list the snapshot, but what's even more, sorry, guys, it looks like I dropped out for a second. what's even more exciting is for the buyers. So I don't know how much you've, you've guys looked into it, but basically once the snapshot is up in the marketplace, once you've purchased the license as an agency, you can now, not only that you can sell it through the marketplace, but you can, you can actually directly link it to a SAS plan in the SAS configurator.
[00:15:53] Vit Muller: So someone else's snapshot from a marketplace that you purchased. And now I don't know if it's also going to be with an [00:16:00] ability where you could link it to A SAS plan and only when a new customer signs up, then you, you know, you pay on their behalf for the license, but
[00:16:10] Matt Deseno: I can talk through this because they pulled this in pre live because they wanted to like fill it in with stuff. Super intriguing because they're always trying to go as flexible as possible.but it's, I'm, I'm unclear about how people want it to use, cause you can go white label, which some like plugin developers have done where it's like, they've got an extra brand that they manage because it goes direct to the customer.
[00:16:28] Matt Deseno: So it's like, they can support it. Sort of gray labeled is really what's happening there. It's just like, I'm a CRM plugin. So this would be like CRM. Snapshots, but even the term snapshots. They're not advising. Don't call it a snapshot because the plumber is not going to be like, I want a snapshot. They want it as like a marketing suite or so, you know, something
[00:16:46] Matt Deseno: Like
[00:16:46] Alex Schlinsky: in a box, in a
[00:16:47] Matt Deseno: in a box.
[00:16:48] Matt Deseno: And so, it's a little bit unclear right now for us because you either have to maintain multiple brands or if you don't say, because it's like, this is like, you want to say, Hey, the snapshots white labeled. But the [00:17:00] support, or whatever, the provider isn't white labeled and so then it limits where it can go.
[00:17:04] Matt Deseno: It's also interesting because they're kind of bluffing right now, which they just said, is there's no perfect way to prevent someone from like buying it once and selling it many. So it's kind of silly because there is the option there where you can license it out monthly, License it out like for a one time purchase and even going direct I think the biggest use case there is going to be direct to Agencies like it's always been they pay for it once and then they can kind of like incorporate it But at that point it's no more magical than if you had your own snapshot You're like I included it into my assessment subscription and I just put the snapshot in there I just bought it from somebody else, but
[00:17:40] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: There's one point though, I'd say, sorry for Yeah, go for it, Michael. There is one huge value. I've run the snapshot buy and sell group, like the really big one there. And, accountability is impossible. Right now. And I try and tell people as much. It's like, you don't know. It's like, you know, we ban people like every single day, but at the end of the day, [00:18:00] having that accountability, it's going through high level where there's repercussions when you do bad business practice, or if you sell a snapshot that sucks or isn't documented.
[00:18:08] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Oh, that's my
[00:18:09] Matt Deseno: I, I love it. I'll be curious to see the accountability come. I don't know if you guys remember the early days they had a funnel marketplace. And so, we, it was hilarious. Cause I sent, I still have this Loom video if you guys want to see it. But I was like, we were the number one and also the number three.
[00:18:23] Matt Deseno: But the number three was not us, it was somebody else. And we just put like a little bit of code there. So there was like a, In like a little hidden bit of HTML that just said like basically made by HL Pro Tools. And so I just wanted to show them like your number three in the funnel workplace or the funnel like marketplace is actually somebody else reselling one of our funnels. And where the consequence there was high level kind of shut down the program because they're like, man, accountability is hard. But no doubt there's, they're trying to lay the groundwork where there can be some sort of accountability there, which is intriguing. But I've just come to think about it right now.
[00:18:55] Matt Deseno: I was like, you just got to imagine. Mostly I would try and monetize from a sell once, and then [00:19:00] just imagine it gets sold a thousand times after that, but like, don't, don't, don't, spend too much energy worrying about people stealing your stuff. It's gonna happen.
[00:19:08] Vit Muller: I mean, I
[00:19:08] Alex Schlinsky: to
[00:19:09] Vit Muller: I spoke to Rupert from Level Up Marketplace and he said to me something interesting. I mean, like, I mean, I agree with you, Matt, but I also think it's kind of appealing the ability to like sell per sub account and also sell it on a subscription basis. I mean, if somehow that can be done.
[00:19:24] Vit Muller: That in a way that works, I mean, it could be very, very, a profitable method. But the, the other caveat to that is, what Rupert said, he says that, with the custom apps, that if you, as a developer of a snapshot, if you include the custom apps in the automations of the snapshots, because they are charged, there's a rebilling for those that apparently had was working on a split commission for the developer.
[00:19:49] Vit Muller: Of the app for the developer of the snapshot that is within and obviously for high level so that there could be a big game on there as well.
[00:19:56] Vit Muller: that's all who knows, right?
[00:19:58] Alex Schlinsky: I going [00:20:00] direct.
[00:20:00] Alex Schlinsky: to just dive in really quick for the non tech people. I'm pretty sure I'm the only non tech person. And so I feel very out of place and Charles particularly knows this Matt and Sharon knows as well. Like anytime someone's like, wow, you know, I've seen you speak at high levels events and like, tell me what your favorite features are.
[00:20:15] Alex Schlinsky: It's like, I don't know. I don't know anything about features. I don't know how they work. My guy on the tech side and POD, he might as well be Harry Potter. I'm just like, Hey, make this automation thing work. And if high level does it great. And so he's like, Oh, contracts came out, whatever this was like last year, they came out and we don't need a Panda doc anywhere.
[00:20:31] Alex Schlinsky: I'm like, awesome. I don't know what Panda doc is, and I don't know what you're talking about, but do what you got to do. Right. So I think coming from this point of view is really important, really quick before we continue on a million features. Everyone wants to use high level to make more money, but a lot of people don't really know or understand like how to either sell high level or what features to use.
[00:20:47] Alex Schlinsky: So I just want to remind you, first of all, that you don't need any of the new features that high level shared that, that Sean shared on stage to make a million dollar business. Like there's plenty, plenty, plenty of people that have built super successful companies, [00:21:00] literally selling just the website chat widget or the review campaigns or miss call text back.
[00:21:04] Alex Schlinsky: Like literally just those things, the interest or reason why they make more features is obviously to improve the value of it. And because nerds like the rest of you, and that's okay, it's not a demeaning term. Okay, I'm a nerd too for sales, but like, you know, you know, developing nerds are like, I want this feature thing to work, but it's not critical to the success and growth of your business.
[00:21:23] Alex Schlinsky: If you want to make more money on high level. Just understand this concept. And this was the biggest takeaway that I had from the event. Number one, way too many people in this space are over complicating things with the most complicated snapshots possible or the most complicated workflows possible and thinking that high level never break newsflash.
[00:21:41] Alex Schlinsky: It King breaks in case you're not aware of that. It does doesn't matter what support team you use, doesn't matter what Harry Potter magic you have. Voldemort's there and Voldemort is the breaking of these random workflows that you don't know how to fix. So the more complex you think it is and the sexier you think it is, number one, your end user client does not care.
[00:21:58] Alex Schlinsky: And number two, it's just going [00:22:00] to make it harder. So simplify it is the number one thing that I got repeated on and realized is the main thing. And then number two, most importantly, in my opinion, is how you position and sell. All these amazing new features to me, high levels, main value fits the Venn diagram of maximizing current opportunities.
[00:22:18] Alex Schlinsky: I like to say this because I think it's a really important framework for everyone to think about. If y'all have been in the industry for like a decade or two, you've kind of seen Essentially like a three eras come out over the last, you know, two decades, basically the original digital marketing era and boom, which was no biz op opportunity.
[00:22:37] Alex Schlinsky: The only opportunity was basically traditional media companies coming in and starting an advertising agency online because now they can sell websites and SEO, right? There was no biz op. You literally had to go to school or be in a traditional media business.
[00:22:50] Vit Muller: and you can
[00:22:51] Alex Schlinsky: to start a marketing agency. Then click funnels.
[00:22:53] Alex Schlinsky: I know bad word, bad word. I know. I know. Came out and they're like, here's a biz op. You can sell online funnels and you can charge a lot of money and [00:23:00] make a lot of money. And that was a massive boon in the industry from like 20 like 11 to now still, obviously high levels taken over and quite a bit high levels.
[00:23:09] Alex Schlinsky: Original offering was strictly a tech stack that was strictly what they were doing. We're going to make your 1, 000 tech stack.
[00:23:15] Vit Muller: Then people started reselling it.
[00:23:17] Alex Schlinsky: And they did that amazingly well. And then people started reselling it. And they're like, Oh, we need to do SAS. And that's the new biz op. But here's the key piece that's really, really important.
[00:23:25] Alex Schlinsky: That's going to make you a lot of money and you're welcome. Here it is. Are you ready? How does the average consumer, meaning the plumber or the doctor or the attorney or the HVAC guy or the epoxy flooring company, the regular ass person that's getting a message from myself and someone else where a year ago the offer was 2, 000 a month and now it's 300 a month, but they're offering the same exact thing.
[00:23:46] Alex Schlinsky: How does that happen? How does that happen? How do you explain the discrepancy? This is the discrepancy that you can sell low ticket and high ticket, whether you're doing SAS or agency or both. This is how you clarify it. Selling SAS means you are [00:24:00] maximizing current opportunities, maximizing current opportunities.
[00:24:03] Alex Schlinsky: They have a leaky bucket. They're not getting all their reviews answered. They're missing calls and not reaching out to them. So they're going to their competitors. They're missing leads that are going to their website. I just named three features. Not 500 new ones, three features that work and you can make money from them consistently over and over.
[00:24:18] Alex Schlinsky: You can sell it at 300, 400, 500, even a thousand dollars a month to many businesses. Maximizing current opportunities is what high level is about. The discrepancy and difference is the people offering the high ticket services are doing what? Creating new opportunities. And that's why people invest into ads and marketing.
[00:24:35] Alex Schlinsky: So if you can put the Venn diagram together, where your high level service, meaning your SAS model, is maximizing current opportunities and filling the holes of their leaky bucket, maximizing current opportunities. and offer front end lead generation solution, right? Now you have provided both solutions and they can understand the obvious discrepancy.
[00:24:53] Alex Schlinsky: That was the main thing that I came away from the high level event with. Just the obvious reality that people do not [00:25:00] know what the discrepancy is between a SaaS business and an agency business. Clearly maximizing current opportunities and creating new opportunities when it comes down to lead gen. That was the
[00:25:10] Alex Schlinsky: The features. Cause that just, my eyes just get glossed over. I'm like, there's already so many that I don't know. Why would I try to like understand more of them? Like, look at this AI thing. I'm like, amazing, shiny object that I will never understand. Amazing. That's how my brain works. So thought that would be valuable to share.
[00:25:25] Alex Schlinsky: I wanted to share real quick before we dove into another 300 features on this session.
[00:25:29] Charles Higgins: And I'll say real quick from the technical side of that. So like, I totally see and agree with Alex's viewpoint and, you know, we do as nerds, we tend to get a little, you know, overexcited sometimes, with new features, but even on the technical side, one of the things that I was, Very happy about and I heard more this year than any other year and the conversation has continued.
[00:25:56] Charles Higgins: I know this was a huge topic of. Discussion was, [00:26:00] Hey, we don't want more features. We just want you to take the skateboard into a bicycle or take the bicycle into a car. And so there was a ton of conversations. Of course, we had all the, PMs there. We had developers there. So it was a great opportunity, but.
[00:26:14] Charles Higgins: You know, going back to like the snapshots, and other tools that are coming into the marketplace, one of the big topics of discussion was third party support because like to Matt's point earlier to Alex's point of, you know, I don't know what the heck this tech group is.but I need help is how do we, you know, how does high level not only keep progressing, offering more, you know, polish to what the current feature set is, but how are they going to make it to where if Michael sells a snapshot, well, he can't possibly support hundreds and thousands of sub accounts. That have his snapshot through the marketplace. So how's the marketplace going to, you know, help teams like Matt DeSantos and Sharon's at extendly, [00:27:00] how, how are they going to be able to get in and actually provide support? And that was a huge topic of discussion. I know there was one takeaway from it where they were going to, you know, put a place in the marketplace apps where they could embed their.
[00:27:14] Charles Higgins: Ticketing dashboard. so at least there was some, something other than just an email for support. which is, we all know is not support. so, no, I, I just wanted to piggyback off Alex, cause even on the technical, the nerdy side, it was amazing to hear how many people were like, you know what, we really don't want any more features.
[00:27:32] Charles Higgins: We just want you to polish up the ones, you know, put some lipstick on the pig, so to speak, on what's already there.
[00:27:38] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: problem right now with high level and I'm screaming on every single rooftop I can is that you can very easily create a, agency ending business. every single one person here has knows many agencies that have just, they get, they hit that critical turning point where it's almost like no turning back because they got too much stuff.
[00:27:57] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: They got too many processes and they [00:28:00] don't have any way to. It's easier to create the mess than it is to put it back together. So yeah, having that support structure, or ha And that's why I was so fo I got so excited about those kind of, more like, they're techie features, but they're kinda not, cause they're literally the essential parts of how do you make money with high level.
[00:28:18] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: And how you make money with it is a direct effect of how easy it is to build, manage, and like, and service your snapshot.
[00:28:25] Alex Schlinsky: You know what I found, Michael? A high level over the last couple years that's been really interesting to me. Like, for people that have That are not just like immediately super successful entrepreneurs, which is plenty of people, right? Like plenty of people struggle in the beginning. I struggled in the beginning.
[00:28:38] Alex Schlinsky: It's totally understandable. But like when people see Alistair going from zero to one 25 and whatever, a couple of months, they're like, how do I do that? It's like, he obviously had a prerequisite skillset and understanding that was allowing him to get to this result because he did things failing forward in some way.
[00:28:53] Alex Schlinsky: And I want to hear his story obviously and learn more about that. But one of the things I find really interesting prior to high level was like agency would be like, well, [00:29:00] I'm working on my website. I'm like, What have you done for generating clients? Well, my logo, you know, I changed the color of it and the name, you know, I thought about it for three hours.
[00:29:08] Alex Schlinsky: So yeah, it's like, what are we doing here? It's like, we're playing business. Like when you're, you know, I have a four year old son. He's like, I want to play superheroes like praise Spider Man. He's like, daddy fire. I'm like, that's not Spider Man's a thing. He doesn't have fire out of his hands, but we're, it's cool.
[00:29:22] Alex Schlinsky: We'll say he has fire out of his hands. He's playing a game, right? It's like in the business side of things, it's like the development aspect. Is only to a certain level if you don't put it out into the public, right? And so like, to me, that, that is what I feel is so consistently missing. Everyone's like, Oh, the market's so saturated.
[00:29:38] Alex Schlinsky: There's so many competitors. It's like, well, you're at an event that are all using the same product. So yeah, you probably feel saturated, but in real life, no one knows what the high level is anyways, and you're naming it a different thing. And it's white labeled a hundred times. Just go like call 10 people or go to your church and ask someone if they want to be your client.
[00:29:55] Alex Schlinsky: Like do any of the actual work that we're talking about because I think that's like a [00:30:00] common piece that's missing. They're like, I want to be on the town hall for Sean's new product. It's like, how many clients do you have? Four at 197 per like, what are we talking about? What are we, what are we talking about?
[00:30:10] Alex Schlinsky: So that's like something I always think of because I'm never going to be at the level of you, Michael, on, on tech stuff. That's why I hire amazing people like
[00:30:17] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: yeah, I mean, if you're this, if you're at the bottom though, obviously that's the advice is ignore all of this, but there are people that are launching to like 100. They have 100 clients. They're an agency and they're bringing their people over to high level and they're creating 100 messes. So some of these features and tools are useful at being able to like for those people who have the team, they have the money, they have sales places in place.
[00:30:40] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Yeah. You know, those people, we do need to be showing them what's important about all of these hundreds of features and what things are actually going to move those needles for those people. Because, yeah, if you're getting started, get off this podcast right now and get a client. Yeah, like, like, just right there.
[00:30:55] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Yeah.
[00:30:56] Matt Deseno: think this
[00:30:56] Charles Higgins: we'll all agree to that one. Yeah.
[00:30:58] Matt Deseno: the, the high level experience. And I love [00:31:00] the range of thought there, but like, you got to be true to what this is. It's high levels event. And if we're talking about how it was event, you can't get away from talking about all of the releases. And I do think Alex, you would agree.
[00:31:10] Matt Deseno: Let's say you're trying to do sales mastery and someone's telling you about NLP. Can you imagine if someone was like, I don't even get sales. I'm not going to listen to this NLP stuff. You'd be like, no, there is a valid space for mastery. And there are folks that actually take the time to master the platform because it gives them confidence.
[00:31:24] Matt Deseno: Sales is a transfer belief. If I understand it completely, I have a deep conviction. So I'll give you a practical takeaway. This is Friday. The, they did the affiliate day. why am I blanking on his name?oh man, I bad job giving credit. One guy. shared about he went and helped a cookie shop and I was like, Oh, how beautiful he just went, found this cookie shop.
[00:31:44] Matt Deseno: And it was like, their cookies are way better than crumble. Let me do this little short form real thing about how I'll, you know, help them get more reviews and crumble. And I was like, Oh, this is awesome. I should help more local businesses. And so I talked to Molly Mahoney. I was like, hold me accountable.
[00:31:56] Matt Deseno: I'm going to DM one business per day and then I'm going to help one per month. Was the [00:32:00] goal. Saturday, I DM one business like this is too easy. I'm going to DM two. Second one I DMed answered and actually I was searching cookie shop because I was like, I don't want to reinvent the wheel and make this easy and Instagram pulled up barbershop and so I was like, ah, well, whatever barbershop.
[00:32:14] Matt Deseno: Here we go. Dude responds by Monday, went into the barbershop and He was ecstatic and phenomenal like and sold them on 197 a month. This isn't like moving the needle significantly there Honestly, I didn't even I was like, I don't know the intention wasn't to charge because I was like Maybe I'll just give it away, but he was so eager He was looking for the 3, 000 a month.
[00:32:33] Matt Deseno: Like I want to invest I want to grow and I was like Okay, let's rein it back. I'm genuinely trying to help you, but fine. I'll let you pay 197 a month. And if we can segue back into the features, because I forget actually who had it.
[00:32:44] AI Voice and Business Applications
---
[00:32:44] Matt Deseno: Maybe it was Alistair who had it as the topic, but I do think the intersection of a release from this and sales is worth talking about is AI employee.
[00:32:53] Matt Deseno: And this, I would have said specifically a year ago, I would have said like, eh, I don't believe in voice. I don't answer my [00:33:00] phone ever. But I do think it's important. Inbound obviously, if you take the time to call the business to have an advanced answering service. Because even if you think the experience like you call it and it rings 10 times and goes to voicemail, you might get drop off there, but if it rings a half a second in the answer and even if it just says, like, maybe an a voice was like, hey, how can I help today?
[00:33:21] Matt Deseno: Chances are you're gonna get more information and less drop off going that route. And so I would love to maybe tee it up to Alistair. I don't know if you're ready or prepared for this Alistair, but I'd love to hear your experience or thoughts on the AI voice stuff.
[00:33:31] Alister Shirazi: Yeah, let's hop into it. So, the AI voice is obviously going to be a huge game changer. I think people need to understand exactly what it is first. So the AI voice, what is designed to do is not to be like chat GPT for your phone to where I'm going to have a full on conversation for your business.
[00:33:48] Alister Shirazi: The way I see it, and the lowest hanging fruit I see is to use this as an automated, answering service. Right. So, for example, home service businesses, a lot of the small guys, especially, [00:34:00] and my background, like I have a pressure washing business and that's kind of what I grew and I use that as proof when I talk to future clients about how it implements some of these things and got this, these wins.
[00:34:09] Alister Shirazi: And one of the biggest things is that. A lot of these guys don't have an admin staff yet. They're literally out there. All the phones are, all the phone calls are going to their cell phone. And these guys are out there with gloves, goggles, you know, on a ladder, pressure, washing with brooms, cleaning up. And the customer calls them and they're literally want to give them money.
[00:34:27] Alister Shirazi: They're saying, like, I'm ready to give you money, but you got your hands full and your phone's in your pocket, and now you just missed out on 1, 000 because, you know, because you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, which is working, right? And so, the first thing is you need to answer 100 percent of your phone calls.
[00:34:44] Alister Shirazi: And that's where the missed call text back is like level one, where if you don't miss a phone call, you have that fail safe. level two now. Before it would be voicemail. Now it's like this, this, answering service that you don't have to really pay for. I mean, I was, I'm, I'm [00:35:00] currently paying for answering service and I'm hoping to eliminate that.
[00:35:03] Alister Shirazi: I pay about 400 bucks a month for an answering service that if I don't answer my phone, phone call, well, my assistant doesn't answer the phone call. Within three rings, it goes to my answering service. They take the message and then they say the service manager is going to call them back. So I'm going to switch that.
[00:35:17] Alister Shirazi: Now, if I don't answer, actually, I'm not sure about this. If this is a feature that they have, I didn't see it in there and I'm hoping that it's either going to be there or it is already there where you can set it to where if I don't answer after certain amount of rings, then go to the, does anybody know if that exists yet?
[00:35:31] Alister Shirazi: I couldn't find it. Anybody know that?
[00:35:33] Matt Deseno: on the AI voice.
[00:35:34] Alister Shirazi: Yeah. So like, let me, let me answer the phone after three rings. If I don't answer the phone for three rings, go to the AI voice.
[00:35:41] Matt Deseno: know
[00:35:41] Vit Muller: think that it just still be governed by the regular, like a timeout on the phone setup. I think that's
[00:35:47] Charles Higgins: Now
[00:35:47] Vit Muller: the
[00:35:48] Charles Higgins: it's either an on or off, so you're either having the AI answer or you're not at
[00:35:52] Alister Shirazi: That's what I saw.
[00:35:53] Charles Higgins: know that was something that was talked about at the level up event. having some kind of ring delay in there, much like conversation [00:36:00] AI is, you know, give me 30 seconds to respond. If I don't then go ahead or whatever.
[00:36:05] Charles Higgins: so I know it's coming, but it's not there currently.
[00:36:08] Alister Shirazi: And that's a huge, huge feature for me. So I'm really hoping that's going to come in like ASAP because I probably wouldn't be able to transition until I have that piece in place because number one priority is I want my assistant to answer. And if he doesn't answer, then, you know, he's on the phone or he's in the bathroom or whatever it is, then I don't want to lose that phone call, but we're going to have the best chances of making that phone call into money if a real person answers it.
[00:36:31] Alister Shirazi: And I see it as a fail safe. And so many businesses are like this, especially at a certain level. Like if you're doing under. Call it 500k per month, in your home service business, you know, you probably don't have enough Leeway in there to hire an admin assistant and and so and if you're not answering every single phone call You're missing out on money 100.
[00:36:49] Alister Shirazi: This is something that we've all used in our sales pitches and missed call text back, right? If you can capture some of those missed calls, you can begin to make more money Well, this is just the next stage stage in that and I [00:37:00] was thinking about all the different ways we can use this, and a couple really, clear ones came out to mind.
[00:37:05] Alister Shirazi: and, one is like massage therapy, right? Or, or, or haircuts. Like have you ever been getting a massage and it's a small place where there's like a mom and pop shop, there's like two or three therapists in there, and then the phone rings. They gotta stop giving you a massage, go out, answer the phone call, come back in, right?
[00:37:19] Alister Shirazi: How terrible of an experience is that? Same with haircuts, like getting your hair cut, like one person in the shop, two people in the shop, they're cutting hair, they gotta stop cutting hair, go answer the phone call, answer the same silly questions, what time you open, where are you located, this and that, right?
[00:37:35] Alister Shirazi: And so right now, it's very rudimentary. The AI voice. So it's going to collect name, email, phone number and potentially address. And you can select which of these things you want to actually collect. And as soon as you hang up that phone call, the business owner gets an email saying, Hey, we got you a phone call, which is a signal.
[00:37:54] Alister Shirazi: To all your clients that's saying, Hey, we're doing this work for you that you wouldn't have gotten. Like this is a client that [00:38:00] this is money that you would have lost if you didn't, if you weren't a client of mine. So that's like a signal to them. and at the very basic, that's just going to help everybody make more money.
[00:38:10] Alister Shirazi: So I'm super excited to see how, and this is a completely different pitch that you can now go on. Like, you know, Alex was talking about this one feature that you can go sell. People made tons of money off of the chat widget. Does anybody have an idea of how much money we're going to be able to go make with this whole new product service offering that didn't even exist two weeks ago?
[00:38:29] Alister Shirazi: I can literally go to massage therapists and barbers and say, you are providing a terrible service by stopping your service to go out to your phone.
[00:38:37] Setting Up Your AI Workflow
---
[00:38:37] Alister Shirazi: Don't worry about that. I got you. We're going to set this up for you. Like it's going to cost you X amount per month, like easy. Right. And then, so.
[00:38:44] Alister Shirazi: There's a lot of cool features. one other cool thing is that after a phone call comes in, you can kick off a workflow. may, the way you might want to use this is after they come, come into workflow, you want to put it into a pipeline so you can make sure they get followed up on or they go into some kind of long term nurture sequence.
[00:38:59] Alister Shirazi: So [00:39:00] now, even though it was a phone call, now they're in your email nurture sequence and you're going to continue to follow up with them or you shoot them a text message or whatever it is. So super powerful stuff. everyone should be super excited about this huge potential. And just a whole new service offering that didn't exist before a new way for us to make money.
[00:39:16] Alister Shirazi: Super exciting
[00:39:17] Matt Deseno: get
[00:39:18] Maximizing AI for Customer Engagement
---
[00:39:18] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I really, really love the AI. I really hate a lot of things because it's inconsistent. But one thing on your point of making sure that every single person is answered is that even if you have a situation where your AI can't give you the answers or always that, that's fine. Don't only think about giving answers, but just about asking questions.
[00:39:36] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: If you could just engage the person who's calling in and gather a couple of things, ask them a couple of questions and take it in and saying, now we're passing that on. That's a much simpler and less complicated way of dealing with AI. Cause everyone I see is trying to get the answer and then they have problems with it's giving bogus answers or it's going off on tangents.
[00:39:55] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: It's like, Then don't make it have the answer. Just start by qualifying [00:40:00] why people are calling and give your salespeople that information and let the client know they're heard. So yeah, I'm a big fan.
[00:40:07] Matt Deseno: I think to Alex's original thing this was exactly so I wasn't it was a barbershop and this was the thing So I was saying you want to make money I actually I would argue there's a good amount of folks in the high level ecosystem who just have businesses So not everybody's trying to sell a business opportunity.
[00:40:22] Cost Efficiency with AI Answering Services
---
[00:40:22] Matt Deseno: And so this is helpful to those businesses You're paying 400 bucks a month for an answering service. This is 97 a month For unlimited AI answering, plus even more so on top of that. And so like you can make money in the cost reduction and that's 100 percent profit. Like that's not, you don't have to do like growth margins on your sales or stuff like that.
[00:40:40] Matt Deseno: And so that was actually the compelling thing that sold him over. This is three days removed from the summit was he had an answering service and I was like, and at that point I knew there was, you know, going to be costs involved. The 97, which is also intriguing. We should talk about, I don't actually. I don't know if everybody knows or if this is public, but no, people have found it's because on the pricing [00:41:00] page, it's gonna be free for six weeks.
[00:41:01] Exciting New AI Features and Subsidies
---
[00:41:01] Matt Deseno: So for six weeks, finishing out the end of the year, high levels subsidizing the AI voice. And, I mean, just think about, I mean, true cost, there's maybe 149 of like free, free voice that's happening. It is limited to 500 per agency of, true usage, but I backed it out. You could probably push it to about what I see what our barbershops doing.
[00:41:23] Matt Deseno: In one week, I'd say you could fit 150 to 200 clients on it and literally pay nothing in terms of AI cost there. So it's, it's, probably one of the bigger features I think people should be selling to
[00:41:34] Vit Muller: It's quite an opportunity.
[00:41:36] Alex Schlinsky: something.
[00:41:37] Vit Muller: And there's also the unlimited for the 97. That's, that's
[00:41:41] Matt Deseno: That's what I'm saying. They're
[00:41:42] Matt Deseno: subsidizing the,
[00:41:44] Alister Shirazi: to share this too real quick because this is exciting. So So right now we have inbound right?
[00:41:50] Outbound AI: Opportunities and Cautions
---
[00:41:50] Alister Shirazi: This is where the agent picks up that incoming call and then At the summit, somebody asked about outbound and, you know, Sean Clark, [00:42:00] the co founder of high level was a little bit weary about doing outbound AI.
[00:42:04] Alister Shirazi: Because do we really want to live in a world as popular as high level is where we're all getting robo calls now? Right? Is that really where we want to live in a world? and then somebody gave Sean a good use case. And then sure enough, Look at this right here. It's grayed out right now, but it says coming soon outbound AI AI calling so it's this is gonna be interesting to see what this is gonna be like the most you know, the most obvious one I see is that lead follow up right like You're getting a lead and that's a huge huge thing.
[00:42:36] Alister Shirazi: Anyone does lead generation campaigns marketing We know that getting a hold of our leads is probably one of the biggest barriers to return on investment that we can have. I personally offer a lead follow up service where we will follow up with all your leads. Well, well, they're either going to buy or die.
[00:42:53] Alister Shirazi: That's how we call it, you know, buy or die on our list. And so if we can kind of reduce some of those calls using the robo, you [00:43:00] know, the AI, that's going to be interesting. But again, it's going to be very delicate and we'd be careful how we use this. We don't want to start spamming everybody.
[00:43:08] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: about like more, like not outbound to like leads outbound to your clients. Like if you're any coach should be looking at going, my accountability calls, check ins. I can ask them all the questions that I need every single week and make it happen and then spend my one on one time on the people who either are buffing off my AI call or are having like issues or maybe they're just not answering it right.
[00:43:32] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Like, dude, yo, like start with the easy ones instead of going, cause they have regulations also. Right. But yeah, your clients want to hear from you too.
[00:43:39] Vit Muller: understand
[00:43:40] AI in Sales and Customer Support
---
[00:43:40] Alex Schlinsky: personally think that the 24 7 like sales agent model is going to be the most valued offer in high level over the next 12 months. And the person that develops the best version of that, because I think the, the promise to the average consumer probably isn't exactly upon what's delivered unless you're like really good at being, [00:44:00] setting an expert, you know, frameworks and expectations.
[00:44:04] Alex Schlinsky: And I think a lot of people oversell and under deliver pretty consistently. So I think if you're able to explain like the clear limitations of it, but even with the limitations noting, like it's literally the worst it will ever be right now. And it's only going to get better over time. And thus the longer that we work together, it will get better.
[00:44:21] Alex Schlinsky: I genuinely think it's the most valuable thing that you can provide right now. in high level that kind of fits two really unique opportunities. One, an immediate need, which everyone wants a salesperson that doesn't sleep, takes no vacations, doesn't require commissions and is able to understand your business without ums and ahs.
[00:44:36] Alex Schlinsky: I mean, it's kind of a very valuable thing, but also something that's very valuable, which is the curiosity, like piquing the interest of curiosity. There's very few things that are new in this space altogether in a general sense, like clubhouse was kind of a big thing for like, You know, like two months and then it died, right?
[00:44:53] Alex Schlinsky: It was gone instantaneously because it was copied, tick tock or X ads. Like as an example, same thing, like really exciting, [00:45:00] really popular and then died right away because it's hard to run ads on both those platforms. A. I. Is not going anywhere. It's going to be part of, you know, the life of every single young individual and, you know, entrepreneur right now over the next 5 10 years.
[00:45:13] Alex Schlinsky: And it's moving a lot faster, I think, than anyone. I think it's really going to be the most valuable thing that we see over the next 12 months in high level.
[00:45:19] Sharan Kaur: that I you'd like what I can, I was gonna say, we're almost an hour in, I was thinking I can, I can knock out my, my, the rest of my features real quick, if you'd like us to do that, or if you'd like to keep going on this topic, that's fine too.
[00:45:30] Vit Muller: think let's, let's give, Sharon, you've got some interesting stuff in communities and stuff. I want to, I want to hear your take on it.
[00:45:37] Sharan Kaur: Yeah, communities as well.
[00:45:39] AI Accessibility for Small Businesses
---
[00:45:39] Sharan Kaur: But one quick thing to wrap up the AI conversation is the thing that I love about a high level is that it gives accessibility, right? So these AI answering systems existed before, but only big companies like AT& T, T Mobile could afford them, right? Now, it's like your local hair [00:46:00] salon, nail salon, your barber shop, everyone has accessibility.
[00:46:03] Sharan Kaur: Access to this now, and I think when you position it like that, even to the small business owner that you're talking to, that is what's going to be incredible, that we're giving you this technology, that technology that before, only the big people could afford, right? And, You can also position it in a way that it's cost savings, so you can replace your receptionist now or you can have a receptionist assistant, because it may not be, to Michael's point, as good to, you know, do everything that you want it to, like a human would, but it can gather all of that information and pass it off to the correct person, so that you're saving that much time.
[00:46:41] Sharan Kaur: And when you understand it like that, and when it, in all of your like, Conversations when you position it like that, it just makes sense to any business owner. It just makes plain and simple sense that this is something that I need in my, in my business. But yeah, go ahead, Michael. No.
[00:46:57] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I really want, I think what you just said was really [00:47:00] important. And I worked for a automation, like an industrial automation company, and they had a very important, perspective that I think marketers shouldn't, should be taking in. It's not about, Always cutting the costs because if you go to a small business and saying we're going to replace a receptionist, that person now hates you because they love their receptionist, they love their local people, they love their team, and they don't like that way of talking about things.
[00:47:26] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: One way you can position it is more of saying we want to be able to make what's better for the end user, the customers. This AI is going to help them and it's going to help your existing staff. Do all the stuff that they're best at and they're going to do more of that They're going to spend more one on one time with their customers So just and so just keep that in mind It's all about making the whole value prop better for everyone along the chain and not always necessary now Cost cutting is part of it, but I don't think that's the big thing I think what Sharon is talking about of, [00:48:00] yeah, bringing that back in.
[00:48:01] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: It's all about the customer and making the receptionist life better. Is, is something you've got to be keeping in mind.
[00:48:07] Alex Schlinsky: Michael, there's three words that I use, which would be like efficiency is like a key, really valuable term consistently. And then complimentary, as well, I think is key. Like imagine going into a, Like calling somebody like, you're really bad at your job. Can I replace you with AI? And people be like, I would never say that.
[00:48:22] Alex Schlinsky: But I mean, metaphorically and theoretically, that's like what you're doing by reaching out to the team lead and be like, you know, that lady, Cheryl, who's running your, your phone. She's really bad. Right. And she takes out at five o'clock for her kids. How rude you could have someone that's on staff all the time.
[00:48:38] Alex Schlinsky: It will never work. Right. Complimentary supplemental and efficiency. Those are kind of the three things that I'm constantly reminding of to say in our sales conversations.
[00:48:46] Charles Higgins: and one thing I just, so this is such a, we see this all the time in the high level group around A2P and SMS. I just want to show a hands because I know this is going to, it's already come up. I know it's going to come up [00:49:00] as this outbound AI voice comes up. How many people on this call by a show of hands think it's a good idea when this AI voice comes out to just go by list and start cold calling people with voice AI?
[00:49:14] Alister Shirazi: No, way.
[00:49:15] Sharan Kaur: never.
[00:49:16] Charles Higgins: So I
[00:49:17] Vit Muller: I, I definitely would like, I definitely want to have a go at it, but
[00:49:19] Charles Higgins: the,
[00:49:20] Matt Deseno: It's
[00:49:20] Alex Schlinsky: It's like, me? For sure.
[00:49:22] Matt Deseno: but I'm gonna try it once, like, you know.
[00:49:24] Charles Higgins: yeah, but I just wanted to make that point because, you know, we see this conversation come up all the time in the high level group and other communities, you know, trying to cold blast, you know, list like crazy. And I know it's been a huge topic of discussion around voice AI. And so I just wanted everybody to see that watches this video.
[00:49:44] Charles Higgins: that nobody on this panel raised their hand to that idea of, Oh yeah, that's the first thing you should start doing and you should do it every day. That, that's not what this is intended for. just, just wanted to make that point. cause I know it comes up a
[00:49:58] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: want? They don't want [00:50:00] salespeople calling them, but they want somebody they can talk to without, and they can, that they can spend as much time with them as they want. And ask a bunch of questions that they might not want to tell, tell to a human for right away. Right?
[00:50:12] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: And get committed into. So, if you position it and say, hey guys, we have someone you can just talk to about anything you want. And it's inbound. It's like, hey, tech, put your phone in and we'll call, and our AI will call you. And you can talk to them as, for an hour if you want. Like, go for it.
[00:50:28] Enhancing Customer Support with AI
---
[00:50:28] Alister Shirazi: I think the AI right now as it is, Is only to take a few questions. Like if you look at the AI agent, like setup, you can really only set it up to where it's going to answer a few different questions as it is right now. So I can share my screen so you can see what it looks like. Cause I know a lot of
[00:50:46] Charles Higgins: what we've been able to do on the advanced side, is So we switched over to the advanced mode and what we were able to do was leverage, in the simple mode, it is very basic, but on the advanced side, what we turned [00:51:00] it. It's less about sales and more about customer support because what happens when you're having problem with the company, you look up the company, you Google them, and that click the call button is so easy to hit.
[00:51:11] Charles Higgins: And so what we've geared ours around is being able to send out Those text messages for quick information. Hey, if you're having support problems, we're going to send you a link straight to your phone where you can click it. You can go straight into live chat, no logging and no nothing. you can go straight into your billing portal.
[00:51:28] Charles Higgins: You can go, so we're using trigger links. We, we combined the power of trigger links because we already know who's calling in and if they're an existing client. We can direct them straight down these quick win paths for customer support and customer success, which ultimately, for me, is More important because I always look at the retention side, what is my how can I lower my churn rate?
[00:51:51] Charles Higgins: If I can just focus on lowering my churn rate, guess what? I don't have to go get new clients every single day. And so that's what I focus on. So we geared ours [00:52:00] through the advanced mode to leverage the SMS. So we can say, Hey, this is an existing person. Hey, Matt, here's your, you know, billing portal. Sharon, here's your, you know, link that takes you directly in the chat support right on your mobile device.
[00:52:12] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: You don't even have to log in. flagged as a problem client or that they have a lot of problems in, you can send it to the, the AI pre thing to get all, let the steam out, you know, listen to, you know, how badly,
[00:52:24] Charles Higgins: Yeah, there's a call transfer mode. So if, you know, if, if they've called in, we have our bot checking to see if they've called in, if this is the second time they're calling in about something, and that way it goes directly to a live transfer. Hey, let's not send them that link again.
[00:52:38] Charles Higgins: Let's get them in front of a person. But now if I can take 10 calls and turn it into, Five or two or, you know, one a day. I mean, how, how beneficial, to the business owner is that, not only for agencies, but for end businesses, you know, if they're able to get those quick wins, oh, you want to schedule an appointment.
[00:52:56] Charles Higgins: Great. Guess what? I just texted you a link where you can schedule that [00:53:00] appointment. you know, or if you've got billing, you want a copy of your last invoice, anything like that, you can do it all right now through, the incoming voice AI, which I, I think is a huge proponent of
[00:53:12] Matt Deseno: And it's a helpful clarification there, is you've got 2, 000 characters, or words, but you have to hybrid it with the messaging. So, like, it won't book appointments, but it's, it's still valid, and so being able to do is like, oh, yeah, we can send you a link. And then you can book the appointment on there. So there are definitely still aspects of it where someone's like, is it a skateboard?
[00:53:29] Matt Deseno: Is it a scooter? Is it, you know, go kart? it's not quite car or plane for sure, but pair it with like workflows and chat, or SMS messages. It still can, you can accomplish a good deal of stuff.
[00:53:42] Alister Shirazi: Yeah,
[00:53:43] Vit Muller: is a good segue into, you know, like customer support, right? We can all agree. This is one of the best ways you can invest when it comes to like retaining your customers. And I think this is a good segue talking about communities and the, and the, client portal.
[00:53:58] New Features: Communities and Mobile App
---
[00:53:58] Vit Muller: Sharon, you've picked three [00:54:00] features that kind of relate.
[00:54:01] Vit Muller: Did you want to touch on those?
[00:54:02] Sharan Kaur: Yeah, absolutely. I think, you know, as businesses grow, a community becomes more and more essential. And before this release, I'll be very honest, GHL communities was a little bit lacking, a little bit behind something that starts with an S and ends with UL. But now I think it's comparable. You can have events in there.
[00:54:23] Sharan Kaur: You have a community chat and, they released, the mobile app, right? The collab mobile app where now you can scroll through and, people can not only find your community but also other ones. So that is what makes people addicted, right? And when we talk about being sticky and being addicted to something, you want them to be, you want them to spend all of their time on there.
[00:54:46] Sharan Kaur: So making this app as robust as possible is going to allow you to do that. And the fact that, I'm going to touch on Collab a little bit, the, the mobile app. You can now brand it, and it also has push notifications. [00:55:00] So you can send, push notifications to your community members straight to their phone, right?
[00:55:05] Sharan Kaur: That I felt like was a game changer, because previously with communities, the only way that you could And I felt that was a little archaic, right? Because people want to be able to view it on their phone as they're going. So now with the push notifications, you can do that. and events on there, the fact that it has a, And the fact that it has events on there now makes it very, very similar to like a Facebook group, right?
[00:55:32] Sharan Kaur: Where you can have your group, your chat, and your event. Everything is in one place. So I'd recommend anyone, if you have a SaaS business, right? Or you're a coach, or teaching something, try out the high level communities feature. You're going to find that it is, it is on, it's going to knock out any business.
[00:55:52] Sharan Kaur: The thing that starts the S and ends with the UL, and you won't have to worry about, your Facebook group reach and [00:56:00] Facebook algorithm and all of that stuff changing. So, yep, that's what I have to say about communities. Oh, one thing else that I haven't played with yet, but I believe there's gamification and awards and like leaderboards in there as well now, so that's going to be cool.
[00:56:13] Vit Muller: Yeah, definitely exciting. Guys, we, we have Rupert in the house. He's, he's just joined us. So, just quick intro.
[00:56:19] Matt Deseno: off.
[00:56:19] Vit Muller: Has he dropped out? Oh, he just dropped out.
[00:56:22] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: He's in a car, it looks like.
[00:56:24] Vit Muller: damn it. I was
[00:56:25] Charles Higgins: He was enjoying his McDonald's. I was just wondering if he brought enough for all of us.
[00:56:29] Jarryd Holmes: It's making me feel hungry.
[00:56:31] Vit Muller: he won't, he won't get an intro then, unless he comes
[00:56:33] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: have my portion there, Charles, if he does bring one for everyone.
[00:56:36] Matt Deseno: volunteer
[00:56:37] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: a Harvey's man. I'm a Harvey's man all through and through.
[00:56:40] Matt Deseno: Rupert has the most installs or most money collected inside of the high level, developer marketplace.
[00:56:47] Charles Higgins: he has the most apps, the most installs and the most, revenue generated, in the marketplace. He, he holds all the awards in the
[00:56:55] Vit Muller: He has a big team. I spoke to him and he's like, let me, let me like zoom, bring [00:57:00] in my like code F and he's got a lot of people behind him. He's doing some good things, but Jarrod, I want to give, I want to give a mic to you, mate. You've been awfully quiet. Let's jump in. What do you got there?
[00:57:10] Jarryd Holmes: I'm just sitting in the background here observing everyone else.
[00:57:12] Advanced AI Funnels and Recurring Tasks
---
[00:57:12] Jarryd Holmes: And, what I love is the, the AI that's come out of this and just, I just love the use cases that comes out of what everyone's been talking about. one of the ones that I had was the AI funnel, which, you know, I think is going to be taking things to the next level because, you know, we, we talk about, Having to do things from scratch.
[00:57:29] Jarryd Holmes: We talk about snapshots, you know, how we've got to build things up to then replicate it and put it somewhere else. And I think that the opportunity that we have now is a couple of different use cases, especially with the AI funnel is one, it's going to do a lot of the heavy lifting for us now when we're actually getting ready to build something that's unique for a client, but it's also now giving our clients more of a capability, more of the capabilities to be able to do it themselves.
[00:57:52] Jarryd Holmes: Yes. It was, the templates that were in,go high level before, but now what we're able to do is now look at taking this to the next part of that, the next [00:58:00] level, the other benefit there is that, you know,we've also got other features like the Google drive integration. Right. This one I love.
[00:58:09] Jarryd Holmes: Absolutely. Love, love, love, love, love. Because there was nothing more in, infuriating than me just having to try and find files in the media storage and then go, wait, it's not there. It's over in the Google Drive. Let's find it in the Google Drive to then put it in there. And so now we've got this opportunity where we can link it all together, so that it makes it a lot easier to locate those files.
[00:58:30] Jarryd Holmes: and so we've already started, looking into the different use cases of using that for ourselves, but also then, how we can use this with our clients.
[00:58:38] Domain Reselling and Google Drive Integration
---
[00:58:38] Jarryd Holmes: and then one of the ones that I started playing with, the other day was, where you can now purchase domains through go high level. Now, what was funny about that was I basically just went in straight away, looked at the changelog and went, how do I use this?
[00:58:52] Jarryd Holmes: And so I went in there and then realized I could switch it on. And I'm like, Awesome. I've switched this on. Let's check it out because being, an Aussie based in Australia, the first thing [00:59:00] that I like to look at with this as well is what, what are the, the conversion rates or the costs of this?
[00:59:05] Jarryd Holmes: Because, you know, it does, does change for Aussies to, the prices in the state. And so really cool. You can set that up, you can choose your domains and run those in there. One thing that I will note is I have spoken to support about this. Once you turn it on, you actually can't turn it off. So it's, it's one of those things where, okay, well, I'm not quite ready to use it yet.
[00:59:27] Jarryd Holmes: I just wanted to explore it. And so they're like, wanted to roll it out for the event. We have, we know it's a toggle, but we actually can't turn it off yet. It's like, right. Okay. Let, let, let's put this on the board, you know, let's try and upvote this so that I can try and turn it back off. Cause now I've got to manually switch it off for all of my accounts.
[00:59:43] Jarryd Holmes: so I found that interesting as well, but you know, that's probably just something that to segue for everyone to talk on, because I've probably touched on like just four things in that spiel alone,
[00:59:53] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: That's a great
[00:59:54] Vit Muller: Yeah, you did.
[00:59:54] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: a great business model, is one that they can't turn off. Side me up.
[00:59:58] Alister Shirazi: wish I could sell my [01:00:00] sass that way. It's like 97 bucks a month, but you can't ever turn it off.
[01:00:03] Jarryd Holmes: you can never cancel.
[01:00:04] Alister Shirazi: You can never
[01:00:05] Charles Higgins: never cancel. Well, I, you know, I was super excited. I had started talking, with the PM, I guess about four months ago, four or five months ago about the domain reselling. And I was super excited about it. because not only is it a revenue stream, you know, and I was really pushing for them to do it through cloudflare for.
[01:00:26] Charles Higgins: Obvious reasons, and not go with some other provider. but you know, they ended up going through cloud flare, which is awesome. And it makes it a lot easier for us because cloud flare, you know, they've never been about doing all these crazy promos and stuff on domains that hyper confused pricing. but you know, they're fast, secure, reliable, you know, they're a leader.
[01:00:47] Charles Higgins: But for me, it was, I was like, man, just think about how easy. Or easier, onboarding will be. Oh, my gosh. especially for entrepreneurs, small business startups are just starting. They [01:01:00] don't have a domain. It's like, oh, well, we can buy you one. Let's go set up a cloudflare account. Let's buy you a domain.
[01:01:05] Charles Higgins: Let's do all this. So now you've taken what would take, you know, 20 minutes and turned it into one. and everything is being able to be managed there. I know there's still some things, you know, that need to come, like being able to transfer a domain out of there. that's kind of important,
[01:01:22] Matt Deseno: it off.
[01:01:23] Alister Shirazi: Nope.
[01:01:23] Charles Higgins: He can't turn it off and he can't transfer your domain out.
[01:01:26] Alister Shirazi: That's not how we play.
[01:01:27] Charles Higgins: but no, just from the customer support side, the onboarding side, I think it's a huge, huge feature, huge benefit to be able to just have that there and it directly integrate with all the domain connect features that were already and they rolled out domain connect for WordPress.
[01:01:42] Charles Higgins: So yeah, I've been waiting for that feature to drop for a little over four months. So I was happy to see that.
[01:01:48] Vit Muller: That's pretty awesome. I mean, there's nothing worse than dealing with client and it happens quite frequently with small businesses. They don't, they don't even know where the domain is hosted. They don't even know what the DNS is. [01:02:00] And it's like a big friction because you can't move on from there. It's like, you can't do anything.
[01:02:03] Vit Muller: It's like such a pain.
[01:02:05] Alister Shirazi: Well, it's also a huge
[01:02:06] Jarryd Holmes: buy a new one.
[01:02:07] Alister Shirazi: It's a it's a huge stickiness factor, too, because I imagine I think about how long you're going to carry your domain for. I have domains for like, you know, 10 years. And so now my domain is through Alistair, you know, through a list media. Right? And then, so my domain is through A List Media.
[01:02:24] Alister Shirazi: My hosting is through A List Media. My website builder is through A List Media. Like, why would I ever leave? At the very least, if somebody is on some 297 plan, they got the everything, they got this, they got that, and they want to cancel, well, now I just drop them down to the 97 per month plan, and you get to keep your website, the hosting, and your domain. Like, you know, and you're stuck.
[01:02:44] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: my agency closed back in 2019 or something around there. And it took about three more years until I was even able to get to get rid of all of those domains. So like, it is that sticky that even when I was trying to get people off, [01:03:00] it's like, they're still there. So yeah, it's sticky. All right.
[01:03:03] Jarryd Holmes: One thing
[01:03:04] Matt Deseno: too because when, I think Alex was saying earlier, the sentiment of it's saturated or whatever. We, we had, I think it had been public about it, but we'll talk in CoLab. So we helped,Mastermind. com launch. They focus on folks that are starting the business for the first time.
[01:03:20] Matt Deseno: So you thought it was saturated, but like we onboarded 60, 000 people. And it was great because for those folks, they don't have a domain because they've never started a business before. And so when people are like, are there more people to serve? You're like, how many new business, how many new entrepreneurs are created every single year?
[01:03:36] Matt Deseno: To them, these things are incredibly valuable because they don't have a website. And so it's, it's less about like trying to get people to migrate or those advanced scenarios. There's a, there's a huge big opportunity of folks that are literally starting from scratch or just breaking out either. They're becoming adults this year.
[01:03:50] Matt Deseno: They're graduating from college. They want to break away from their 9 to 5. And so, that's a whole other sector of the marketplace. Which is growing. And, to be able to serve them in a very [01:04:00] sticky way, I think this domain is, because I've been a big fan of Cloudflare, and I love Cloudflare, but I'm like, gosh, if you don't already have a domain, this is where I would register and just stick it into here.
[01:04:09] Vit Muller: Yeah, I, my old, I want to add to it. I think not enough small business owners realize that domains are actually really important. Like they should be looking at as an asset. It's, it's a part of the brain. Like if you lose the domain, it's like, if you want it to sell your business and it was really successful and if you screwed up and you forgot to, you forgot to, you know, re like pay for a new, like an annual, that's like actually going to impact the, the, the, the sellability of that whole business. It's so important.
[01:04:38] Jarryd Holmes: it's, it's like, in Australia, right? It, what we typically do is we get the. com, the. au and the. com. au as well. that's something actually that I should note is that, because it is CloudFlare, it doesn't have the. au, so it's something that's always been a gripe that people have been asking for. but you know, that's just another thing as well is by purchasing all of those, you're basically taking care of the primary domains that you should be [01:05:00] hosting.
[01:05:00] Jarryd Holmes: And, owning anyway,
[01:05:01] Charles Higgins: Yeah. And I think, you know, to go back to the other feature that you had mentioned, the Google drive integration, I think that's another super powerful, you know, especially on the agency side, or if you're offering services, like we do VA services. I mean, we're already starting to look at that. It was like, okay.
[01:05:18] Charles Higgins: It's been historically kind of a pain in the rear. Anytime we want to deliver an asset, we have to go into their sub account, into the media library, create a full, like there's this whole process. but. Now can we just yeah, this is Sammy O'Malley. So my little office cat here
[01:05:32] Jarryd Holmes: Hey, Hey,
[01:05:33] Charles Higgins: But you know, how much cleaner is it gonna make that to where we can just Sync up a Google drive.
[01:05:39] Charles Higgins: And so when we're developing content or images or graphics or whatever it may be, we can just seamlessly sync those files, drop them in there and know that the client can access them now, right from their media library, either in the media library or through that Google drive integration. So I think it's gonna, I think you're going to see a lot of, [01:06:00] processes change around that, especially on the delivery side.
[01:06:04] Jarryd Holmes: I think what you're saying as well, Charles, when you're talking about your virtual assistants, that you offer, we, we do something similar and one of the other, tools that I like that's been released is a reoccurring task because it was one of those annoying things where you're setting a task and most of the time it's like, gosh, I've got to set this up again in a couple of weeks time or in a month's time to make sure that we're, we're continually doing this.
[01:06:24] Jarryd Holmes: Inside go high level. And now what I love about this is we've got one, one client in particular that, that has a couple of blogs done every week. And so we can set up tasks now so that that virtual assistant is dropping in to actually then make sure that they're doing those blogs rather than having to remind themselves.
[01:06:39] Jarryd Holmes: It's just automating that process so that they can have that reoccurring task that's happening as well. So I think that that's a really major benefit for a lot of people that are using high level.
[01:06:49] Vit Muller: level. Hmm. Yeah, I liked that. I'm definitely going to be implementing it for the podcast.
[01:06:53] Jarryd Holmes: Yeah.
[01:06:54] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Is there any way of doing, there's no way of like kind of doing any automated, There's no triggers or actions for media [01:07:00] library stuff, is there?
[01:07:01] Matt Deseno: You have the API, you can, you can do something externally
[01:07:04] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: you'd have you want me to add it to it? Yeah, there's nothing native, but they've, they've, they've added into the API docs.
[01:07:11] Charles Higgins: to see is, you know, they, they touched on it at the level up of that they've, they've made some slight adjustments to the UI is the, opportunities board, and turning that more into a Camden style to where, and I think that's where we're going to see these recurring tasks starting to go is, you know, a lot of us, even as agencies we have, yes, we have our sales pipelines.
[01:07:34] Charles Higgins: So we want to keep track of those, but. Oftentimes it's nice to be able to keep track of the onboarding process or where people are at in that, you know, support or service role and, being able to tie recurring tasks if, you know, depending on how far they go with this and the opportunities, dashboard, it'll be, it'll be interesting to see where they bring that
[01:07:53] Matt Deseno: I'll, I'll offer
[01:07:55] Vit Muller: silence.
[01:07:55] Matt Deseno: one of mine. I got to go back to the moneymaker.
[01:07:58] Partial Contact Creation and Surveys
---
[01:07:58] Matt Deseno: And, and this is, maybe it's not [01:08:00] obvious, but yeah, it's the, it's the partial contact creation and surveys. So this is the, the marketer in me. We used to stack forms. And so if you think about this, Yeah. Any sort of like lead gen or just like data gathering on the front end. Any prospect you get, it'd be ideal if they told you literally how much money is in their bank account. We'd all love that information. That'd be great. Just tell me how much money is in your bank account. I will price you perfectly, right? If I knew the opportunity cost and what your willingness and even possibility to pay would be.
[01:08:26] Matt Deseno: But no one's going to give me that. And especially if you start with that, they're like, Okay. Peace out. Like this is, this is sketchy. but there's this concept of like the, the yes ladder is like the more times someone starts to say yes, the, the, the higher likelihood they are to like keep on saying yes.
[01:08:40] Matt Deseno: And so you can do this previously with like stacking forms where you try to ask like less telling or risky or vulnerable information. And then as you kept on going more vulnerable information. So it could even be like the email address. If you go to a very cold audiences, like I don't want to give you my email, but they might be like, If your first question is like, Oh, what kind of a [01:09:00] business do you have?
[01:09:00] Matt Deseno: How long have you been in business? What's your favorite color? Those all feel easy because it feels like you're doing it anonymously. but when you get to question like 7, Then if you're like, and give me your email, and you'll put it in, like, then they're like, I've already spent all this time, okay, fine, I'll do it, and you look at this big mass lead aggregators, like your lending tree, like all these, like, lead distributors, they know this, and that's why they set up this way, where it's the less vulnerable questions to the more personal, more vulnerable questions.
[01:09:26] Matt Deseno: previously, Like with a survey, that's great, it stacks the questions, but if someone abandons it, all you know is it didn't get submitted, and so it was hard to identify what was the point where I put a question out of order, or I asked for too much of vulnerable information, so we literally would stack forms.
[01:09:41] Matt Deseno: We'd have form, form, form, form, form, so that I could see exactly how far they got and where did they drop off, to have some sort of association there. It wasn't perfect because then it's literally like, Kind of fragmented content things. So this partial submission and surveys allows you to do kind of what live chat as a channel did in high level where you could have anonymous conversations that start [01:10:00] and you can see they didn't want to give me their email, but I can now have a better feedback loop of my marketing.
[01:10:04] Matt Deseno: And so for us, if you want to make money and you're doing sort of cold audience lead gen or evengoing deeper with the relationship, you can stack these kind of questions and put the more vulnerable ones at the end, and you will see not only a higher throughput just by doing that, but you'll also be able to get the feedback loop of like, oh, 20 percent didn't finish, and this was the question that caused them not to finish.
[01:10:25] Matt Deseno: And so maybe I'll adjust the question in the language
[01:10:27] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Matt, you just opened up a whole world for me on, you're talking about stacking forms. That's what you could do in the conditional emails, is that you can put, You know, instead of having to get it all in the form, you have follow up emails too, right? If you're missing some information, because maybe they stopped halfway because they only fill out one or two of the forms, you can now put pieces of your form in there.
[01:10:47] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: In a conditional email, and it's only going to show them if they haven't, if they haven't answered questions, like let's say they gave their email, but not the phone number, you can now maybe get ways of like getting more of those smaller [01:11:00] yeses or more of those information that you need instead of trying to get it all at once shoot.
[01:11:05] Matt Deseno: are surprised that we break it out in this way, but like, like people, like, my Instagram funnel is literally just a text to submit, so all I'm asking for is their phone number, but it's kind of, it's like the click, I don't know if any of you guys have done this, but it's the click pre filled text and it just runs a workflow and sends them whatever they're looking for.
[01:11:20] Matt Deseno: The, All I got is their phone number, but it was like, it was one click send. And then what can I do? I can follow up and be like, Hey, do you want to get that emailed to you? And so the smaller steps you can take and the more steps you can add into your kind of like lead journey there, the greater throughput you get.
[01:11:33] Matt Deseno: It's, we just see it all the time. And so it is extra work. And so people like Michael are brilliant at this and like deconstructing all the processes there, but like, I know Slinsky hopped off cause he was featured out, but like truly understand the depth of the software does you more money. Like
[01:11:48] Charles Higgins: he's like, I'm done listening to this.
[01:11:49] Matt Deseno: it's true.
[01:11:50] Matt Deseno: Like mastery of the tool does make you better at it. And I don't think people should feel bad about trying to master the tool. So,
[01:11:56] Jarryd Holmes: That's
[01:11:56] Charles Higgins: Well, it's funny. So when this feature came out, [01:12:00] I was excited about this feature as well, Matt. And for the first thing I thought of, cause I do form stacking as well. And I was like, Oh my gosh. Think of all the funnels that I could condense and all the workflows that I could get rid of just having this one feature, because with form stacking, that's kind of what you're left with is you have to build it all out in a funnel and you have to have a workflow for every single form submission and track them.
[01:12:23] Charles Higgins: And if one gets missed. You know, you change one thing, it affects everything after it. So I'm like, holy cow, how, how many workflows can I actually get rid of and not have to worry about maintaining or updating and, you know, condensing a, workflow, but also more importantly, being able to. Fill that information back in.
[01:12:44] Charles Higgins: So if they do reenter at a certain point, you know, I can hopefully not have them fill out the same thing twice or three times or whatever it may be. So yeah, no, I think it's super
[01:12:56] Vit Muller: goes, for me, this goes in the same category as like AB split [01:13:00] testing and that sort of stuff. When you're trying to like continue improving conversion, especially when you have a big volume of leads coming in, all those little things, just. Tweaking the, even by like 2 percent just makes a huge difference.
[01:13:11] Vit Muller: So that is a really good one, man. I like that. and I, you know, maybe that could be even like if they came up with like an analytics, like a, like a report where you could look at a form and the questions and you could see in per like per period of time and how many submissions and what particular question, how many percentages, what questions, so you could really easily narrow it down.
[01:13:32] Charles Higgins: at the question level.
[01:13:33] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: yeah, you're saying like a visual analytics there. Cause there, there is, there is analytics right now, but that would be cool. Like an aggregate visual analytics. That'd be super cool. Kind of like a, well fun analytics, but like for surveys. This is totally off topic, but, well, it's not completely. I made a troll form to talk about breaking things out and getting that engagement in. And I was trolling somebody, I made a custom form just for them that, Every question, there's like 20 questions, and every single time they answered a question, it would [01:14:00] take half a second longer to load the next question.
[01:14:03] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So by the time they're off to like question 12 or 13, it's loading like 6, 7 seconds after. And, and then the final one, if you try to click the button to finally, to submit, it would jump to the other side of the page. So you could, so yes, the buy in is real. It was, yeah, that was a fun one.
[01:14:20] Vit Muller: Matt, Matt,
[01:14:21] Charles Higgins: nerds annoy you as we do things
[01:14:24] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Oh, yeah, never piss off a, a, yeah, a nerd with lots of free time in the evenings.
[01:14:29] Vit Muller: Matt, let's continue on what you had there because this is a good segue to quizzes.
[01:14:33] Webinar Funnels and Quiz Builder
---
[01:14:33] Vit Muller: I mean, forms great, but quizzes, that's, I mean, very similar in a way.
[01:14:37] Matt Deseno: Similar thought process there and I'll just, yeah, you know, it's interesting. The two that you kind of like how I talked to the webinar funnels and the quiz builder. I picked these out. I'm very excited. Here's, here's what I'd say is in some ways to Alex's point. I want to make fun of too much, but it's like, it is. stuff out that already was doable inside of the system, but to folks that are newer Like it makes it [01:15:00] obvious like, Oh, you can make webinars. You can always make webinars. It's a funnel. I actually have more critiques about how they launched it than like, you know, praises for it. But I think the value is it immediately tells folks this is possible.
[01:15:12] Matt Deseno: And so, so it's intriguing. So on the webinar funnels there, you know, it's, it's like another page builder section there. I, they chose to make it, you know, Like the website builder as opposed to like the funnel builder, which is the same builder, but how they organize the pages It's like page page page as opposed to funnel funnel funnel Which I don't appreciate I'm like that.
[01:15:32] Matt Deseno: These are definitely funnels. They should have been funnel builder not website builder. They also They have templates that are Garbage and you can't yet add templates to it.
[01:15:42] Charles Higgins: I was going to say, just go ahead and say
[01:15:44] Matt Deseno: And so I'm just here's what I'm excited about I was like, oh my gosh, we have like 20 templates are gonna be amazing and beautiful I was like, oh, could I give people these templates?
[01:15:51] Matt Deseno: It's like nope So I was like high level please as soon and by give here sell but the no, I'm just kidding the When I think it's gonna be [01:16:00] a cool opportunity I think there's lots of just it makes it simpler same thing on the quiz side I'd say the same sort of thing is like, oh, you know I would just do surveys, but it splits it out.
[01:16:07] Matt Deseno: It makes it easier to understand. I think there is more kind of like the scoring possibility there. And I know there's a number of folks who have specifically gained a lot of traction just around quiz funnels or like this quiz method. Both of these webinars and quizzes, what they are is to Alex's earlier point, lead expansion, opportunity expansion.
[01:16:25] Matt Deseno: They are great vehicles for opportunity expansion, which a lot of businesses, they'll buy into the vehicle, the opportunity for. Expansion not necessarily the tech. So you tell them, Hey, you need a quiz funnel. They're like, I'm bought into it. I need a quiz phone. Then it's like, where do I build my quiz funnel?
[01:16:41] Matt Deseno: If they attribute you with telling them what to do? They're going to rely on you heavily on where to do it. And so on that side, I see there's opportunity there. It's definitely skateboard. It's like, I'm like, I'm excited for it. Cause the clarity, but they, they got to make some improvements. And then the last piece was the custom menu links.
[01:16:59] Matt Deseno: Actually, this is [01:17:00] exciting for the secondary market of folks. So right now if you're using like an external ad launcher of using like a form wise or a brand blast or something like this, which are, there's so many other cool things that live in custom menu links and kind of like iframe in there. You had to manually do it.
[01:17:13] Matt Deseno: So it's like, I got a new customer. You either give it to everyone, or you manually go in there and add like So it's, it's penalizing for us who love automation like, cool, I made more money, now I have another manual activity. Eh.
[01:17:26] Custom Menu Links and Snapshot Push History
---
[01:17:26] Matt Deseno: So, this now corrects for that, finally, where now you can have custom menu links that are attributed to the SAS plan, and so it's not like, you know, it's not like, congrats, I have some manual activity here, and so that's, that's, that one is fully fledged out, works beautifully, and, we'll just continue to create validity for the secondary market of folks that are innovating faster than high level, and, creating cool add ons.
[01:17:52] Vit Muller: Yeah. I saw that today and,
[01:17:54] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: one's a huge one. Oh, sorry. I'll just,
[01:17:56] Vit Muller: no, no, I was just, yeah, go
[01:17:57] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: on that point there. It's like [01:18:00] the custom, the people, the agencies are doing custom work, being able to give them like their documentation at scale too. Right. Cause it's like, you can have the generic snapshot, but when you do custom work to be able to like, Have to update something individually for that one person.
[01:18:14] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Yeah, it's that's super huge that they can get everything they need in one spot Yeah
[01:18:19] Vit Muller: Yeah. I saw that I was, it was a nice surprise. Like I saw that today in a SAS configurator, the custom manually, I'm like, that's, I'd be like, that's a really nice one. Matt, Michael, good that you touched on snapshot because I had one last remaining bit that we kind of skipped over and it was to do with, the ability to push a snapshot push history.
[01:18:34] Vit Muller: So whenever you now have an ability to actually look at the history, Per snapshot to what sub accounts. that snapshot has been rolled into and, and what, what date. So you can now see push date. You can see the status of like how many sub accounts have successfully got it or failed or pending. so what I like about that is that you'd be able to see.
[01:18:56] Vit Muller: Yeah. Like see what, what happened and when one thing you can't see, and [01:19:00] that's a bit annoying. I, you know, I renamed this name of the snapshot every time I update the snapshot. So I add at the end, like name convention, name of the snapshot and the version date. And so what would be really cool. If the history locked the name of the snapshot at the time when it was pushed, that way you could look into it.
[01:19:19] Vit Muller: It could easily see, oh, hang on a minute. That one, and that account, and that account, or those three accounts have this older version of the snapshots. So I might hold off loading that one when I have, you know, a new version. Things like that. It just gives you more, options, like better manage on when things
[01:19:34] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Everyone, everyone that's listening to this, you need to do one small thing. You need any time you press the refresh button on your snapshot. You need to call that a new version and documented down, especially this for more people with teams. And the reason is. The amount of times that people jump in and make changes to their snapshot and don't tell anyone, usually it's like the business owner or like the, you know, a management person saying, I'm just going to go in quick and touch some things.[01:20:00]
[01:20:00] Version History and Snapshot Management
---
[01:20:00] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: But if you just do that one thing and make sure that you document your, you know, your version history, if your version history doesn't match the snapshot account. You're going to know that something's wrong. Cause what's so happened so many times is people change their snapshots, but they don't document that they changed it.
[01:20:17] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: And then when you're trying to fix the client account, you don't realize what you're fixing anymore. So dude, the, the history, being able to see it, that's also the, who touched my shit, button. It's like, Hey, why the heck is this snapshot different? Who touched it? And now you can go back and see it. Can you see, I didn't notice that.
[01:20:35] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Can, does it
[01:20:35] Vit Muller: Oh, it doesn't. No, no, no. That's a good one. It needs.
[01:20:39] Matt Deseno: anonymous people can still prank on you.
[01:20:41] The Importance of Revert Features
---
[01:20:41] Matt Deseno: I actually think I'm hoping this is the foundation for a revert. That's actually what most folks want. Cause this is like you make a mistake. Now you can find out where the mistake was made. It is, it would be incredibly complicated, but I'm like, Oh, if you're timestamping.
[01:20:53] Matt Deseno: When a change occurred, the next phase, it's probably what so many folks want, is the edit undo button, because [01:21:00] that's, like, it's like, ah, congrats, I figured out how I mess up all of these accounts, and what time I mess it up. But, I'm hoping that this is like them, being like, okay, we've got, we know when it happened, and what happened, what if we could revert back to that experience?
[01:21:13] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Deleting, yeah. Cause you would want a snapshot of the account, right? You'd want a snapshot of each account, right?
[01:21:18] Charles Higgins: It reminds me of those bad windows updates that you're like, okay, roll back that update. Like I know this broke everything. Let's let's roll back to the previous version. I can't use this.
[01:21:28] Version Control and Deletion Challenges
---
[01:21:28] Matt Deseno: Yeah, so step one is have version control. Step two is, what if I could go back to the old stable version?
[01:21:34] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Delete, yeah, deleting because, yeah, that's the thing is, you can, you can add snapshots in, but you cannot delete anything. Well, you CAN, it's just called an hour of clicking Delete on each asset.
[01:21:45] Vit Muller: Hey guys, I'm, I'm aware of the time. We got about a half an hour left. I mean, we don't have to, we fulfilled the full two hours.
[01:21:50] Resources for High Level Updates
---
[01:21:50] Vit Muller: I also wanted to say for those of you guys listening, if you're new and you're like following us and you're still listening to us up to this point, you're like, man, I'm, I'm not really that like.
[01:21:58] Vit Muller: I'm not really good as an auditory [01:22:00] listener. I really wish I would just like, I would like to read on it, like go into the nitty gritty. there is a website if you need to high level, if you don't know about this, if you go to blog dot go high level.com, you'll be able to find an article that's called Level Update 2024.
[01:22:14] Vit Muller: and you can read in. To all the new features that were released, there's a changelog, like, link to changelog articles and, and more, so don't stress about it too much with what we're talking about here today, because you can definitely go and dig deeper. the whole purpose of today is to, you know, just to have a bunch of nerds together and, and Alex Shlinski to go and talk about all the good stuff, you know?
[01:22:37] Jarryd Holmes: I've just pictured that you should have said this right at the start fit, because I can imagine people, listening to this now, and they've just been like frantically taking notes from everyone and what they've been sharing. Like, I can't miss any of this information, you know, like make sure I don't miss any of the good parts.
[01:22:51] Jarryd Holmes: But meanwhile, it's like, no, no, no, you can actually go check this out online.
[01:22:54] Vit Muller: Yeah.
[01:22:55] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: that's what we're here for, right, is that you don't need to go to that because you just heard the most important things and [01:23:00] you can safely ignore the rest of them
[01:23:02] Vit Muller: You just don't get the, you just don't get the input, you know, from, from real users. So
[01:23:07] Jarryd Holmes: Yeah.
[01:23:08] Vit Muller: that's what this is. we, we, did we skip anything? I know I'll, I'll, I'll listen. I know I cut you off. You wanted to like wrap up with your ones earlier on. And like, I wanted to pass on the button to Sharon back then.
[01:23:19] Vit Muller: But you have few, few things on your list. Do you want to go over those?
[01:23:22] Alister Shirazi: Sure, there's a couple of things that I'm pretty excited about.
[01:23:25] New Text Messaging Features
---
[01:23:25] Alister Shirazi: one of them is, It's a super basic thing, but I'm super glad that it's there now where we can choose the phone number that we're sending a text message from, right? Like, come on, this was a little overdue, but it's like,
[01:23:37] Matt Deseno: we used to reassign it to a different user and then reassign it again,
[01:23:41] Charles Higgins: Oh
[01:23:42] Matt Deseno: like just to change the that was going out. So
[01:23:44] Alister Shirazi: it was bad. So for context, if you don't, if you're new to high level and this is, you know, new, this is a feature that you now have out of the box. Let me explain to the pain that we had to go through before we had this. So, you have multiple phone numbers, right? Let's say you have one phone number and then all of a [01:24:00] sudden, it gets blocked to where every one of your text messages are being flagged as spam for whatever reason, right?
[01:24:05] Alister Shirazi: You're not spamming, but you're messaging your list and now this one number is flagged and like 40 percent of your text messages don't go through, something that happens. Or you have, you know, multiple users in your account and, Bye. Bye. Each user has their own phone number. And then when they send a text message, it's coming from that phone number.
[01:24:22] Alister Shirazi: But now what we can do is if you have multiple phone numbers in your account, you get to choose which phone number you get to send from, which is very, very powerful. And it also is. You're able to choose your phone number when you send out mass text messages. Whereas before I had no clue what phone number it was going to send from.
[01:24:40] Alister Shirazi: Cause there's like the default number. There's my personal number. There's like, so I didn't know what number it was going to get sent out to. So you can choose which phone number you're going to send out from both in bulk and in the individual conversations.
[01:24:52] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: right?
[01:24:53] International Text Messaging Solutions
---
[01:24:53] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: If you're multiple counties, like some small towns, they don't pick up the phone if it's from out of town, right?
[01:24:59] Charles Higgins: Well, and [01:25:00] like the big use case, for a lot of our customers, 'cause we spread across the UK and the us, is being able to, Hey, if this is a UK customer, let's use the UK number. or the toll free number to be able to reach them. especially with the new restrictions that have come into place. that's,
[01:25:18] Vit Muller: If high level could do that based on the IP address, that would be fricking awesome because that's literally the biggest pain point I've got with like some customers in New Zealand. I send them out a text message from an Australian. It doesn't get delivered. It's a big problem. So yeah, for international markets, this is like real big change maker to be able to like at least manually now and select it.
[01:25:37] Vit Muller: But really where it's at is if it could do it based on the ID, IP address and do it automatically, that'd be fricking
[01:25:43] Alister Shirazi: that would be
[01:25:44] Charles Higgins: or through a partial survey submission.
[01:25:46] Alister Shirazi: Is it? After Workflow, don't we should, Uh, you're sending a text message through a workflow, you can choose which number it goes through,
[01:25:56] Alister Shirazi: workflow. I don't think it's there yet. Is it?
[01:25:58] Sharan Kaur: not through workflows. Only [01:26:00] through the
[01:26:00] Alister Shirazi: seen it?
[01:26:01] Sharan Kaur: blast
[01:26:02] Vit Muller: think it. Yeah.
[01:26:03] Jarryd Holmes: you choose? I
[01:26:04] Alister Shirazi: Can you choose? I can, I can check real quick. I have it open,
[01:26:08] Sharan Kaur: I, I'm looking at it. I don't think you can.
[01:26:10] Jarryd Holmes: no, so
[01:26:11] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Well, you could change, you could choose based, like,
[01:26:13] Charles Higgins: you could choose the workflow that they're in.
[01:26:16] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: yeah, like, what's the criteria that you're choosing which number to send, use the same criteria for, for that.
[01:26:22] Vit Muller: Sorry. No. So on the backend, on the workflow settings, you can now blank slate rule. Like this workflow is going to use this number, but that's for all contacts. So it's not
[01:26:31] Matt Deseno: and so it is per, as we were saying, it's still per workflow. It's not the, in the action, kind of like when you said like the default
[01:26:37] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: But you can change, yeah, you just need multiple workflows and then
[01:26:41] Matt Deseno: No, no, exactly. Exactly. It's just like, it. And so that's where, like, to the regional stuff, if you have smart lists. And so, like, to the IP, I think the best is they will do some sort of, like, country assumption, I think, based on IP submission.
[01:26:53] Matt Deseno: At least they'll do state, assumption there. And so you could pick, like, a number per state and basically be like, oh, I'm going to filter by all the [01:27:00] people inside of this state. I'm going to send from, whatever, a number in the major city, the capital city, whatever, of, of the state kind of a thing. And so the bigger, useful one would be country because that's where you run into the issue because you can't text.
[01:27:11] Jarryd Holmes: That's right.
[01:27:12] Matt Deseno: numbers like that. You can have multiple locations of numbers. but, yeah.
[01:27:17] Alister Shirazi: Yeah. So two other cool little things I wanted to mention.
[01:27:20] Review Automation and Workflows
---
[01:27:20] Alister Shirazi: One is that you can now use review as a workflow. So as soon as you receive a review on Google or whatever, then that can kick off a workflow. And. The way I see this happening already, a couple of things happened when a review happens. So, first of all, you know, it automatically replies, right?
[01:27:39] Alister Shirazi: We have reviews AI. So, if you're not familiar with that feature, it kind of happens out of the box and it scares some people, including our clients, where it's like you hook up your Google and all of a sudden you got like somebody replying to all your to all your reviews, which I think is cool. Some people just like to be known first, but it just kind of happens automatically.
[01:27:54] Alister Shirazi: Which is cool. I guess. Think about like this. Here's how I can see this being useful. When I see somebody [01:28:00] that leaves a review, I see that as a high intent individual, high intent client. And, if you have a big business where you're getting a lot of customers and you're not sure who to focus your time on because you're limited in the resource and you can't focus on everybody.
[01:28:14] Alister Shirazi: Well, someone that leaves a review is probably someone that had an amazing experience with your business. So you can add them to a workflow and say, this is my high intent customers, and they may be primed for update upsells or upgrades. Something like that. And those are your promoters, right? If they left you a review, they are more likely to tell other people about it.
[01:28:31] Alister Shirazi: Hey, by the way, if you tell your neighbor about our amazing service that we provided for you, did you know you get a 50 gift card for each person you send to us, like just sending those out and you should do that to everybody, but just, it helps you focus your efforts onto who your promoters really are and then having all your promoters into a, some kind of list that you can then, you know, work them in a different way,
[01:28:51] Vit Muller: That's good.
[01:28:52] Alister Shirazi: you been able to match well the, the contact
[01:28:56] Alister Shirazi: to the review.
[01:28:57] Challenges with Review Matching
---
[01:28:57] Matt Deseno: So that's where we, we've not been able to, [01:29:00] this is always the challenge is if you do it from like a high level review request, then you know who did it because you're like, ah, they clicked on it. Well, even that I'm not, I'm not sure if we've had a
[01:29:08] Vit Muller: Yeah. Cause Google doesn't give you their email address.
[01:29:11] Matt Deseno: They don't feed it back. And
[01:29:12] Matt Deseno: so for us, the, the, the biggest value is kind of the, I, I think, I think we'll start to see more of like repurposing reviews as content from it. so actions on that side. and,the auto reply, this is like the AI, the reviewed response. And I think for anybody who's trying to use it, I think the actual X factor there is can prompt, I don't know if high levels review lets you prompt it out.
[01:29:38] Matt Deseno: Cause that's what we ended up kind of like web, basically running our own stuff to, to be able to prompt for it and have the review include keywords because from a, SEO perspective, Reviews our content when you're thinking about your Google business profile there, and so it's like half of it is what they said But if every time you're replying and also reinforcing the keywords that you want to show up So like [01:30:00] imagine your garage door repair, they say five star and you're saying It's always incorporating some sort of language of like love it.
[01:30:06] Matt Deseno: Thanks for trusting us for you know Doing your garage door repair in city name
[01:30:10] Alister Shirazi: Hmm.
[01:30:11] Matt Deseno: Your Hunter reviews also are a hundred extra keyword like keyword lace reviews reinforcing like we pride ourselves on being the best garage door repair in St. Louis. And so now when someone's searching best garage drawer repair in St.
[01:30:25] Matt Deseno: Louis, you've got like on property keywords there. And so, I guess if anybody's doing this uses a secret sauce to Alex's point, sell the benefit of the payoff there, but that's beyond just like, Ooh, it's a friendly, weird robot that replied. But it was like, no, it's a friendly, weird robot that. is doing SEO for you.
[01:30:40] Jarryd Holmes: that's right.
[01:30:41] Alister Shirazi: So I haven't actually tried it myself yet. That's just my idea of how I'm planning on using it. But yeah, I'm curious to see how well it matches the contact to the actual review. That's going to be interesting to see.another feature that's
[01:30:52] Charles Higgins: saying.
[01:30:52] Charles Higgins: I was just going to say, I know, like Matt was saying, I mean, we've, we've tried it a million different ways and we could never get a very high [01:31:00] accuracy, on the matchup. So hopefully that's something that high level can fix at some point, with all their power and might convince the, the powers to be to give us more data.
[01:31:11] Matt Deseno: to the use case, all that you can get is the reviewer name and so the first action, so if anybody's building this, it'd be like, trigger review requested or review received. The first action is find contact, is what you can try and all you can do is look it up and try and match it based
[01:31:25] Matt Deseno: on the reviewer name.
[01:31:28] Matt Deseno: Like, out of like Google, you get reviewer name, rating, comment, source, and spam.
[01:31:32] Alister Shirazi: Oh, I see.
[01:31:33] Matt Deseno: And you're like, okay, so if you can match them, it's kind of like the Facebook contact matching, where it's doing the same thing, it's matching it based on name, if the name's exactly the
[01:31:41] Alister Shirazi: Rarely is. Yeah.
[01:31:43] Matt Deseno: if it's not, you know,
[01:31:45] Charles Higgins: And, and I guess, you know, for one thing that I could quickly think of off the top of my head is if you're sending out that review request, if you're doing it through an automation, you can tag them. So at least that way, if you're basing it off that trigger, does this name match and do they have this tag?
[01:31:59] Charles Higgins: Cause [01:32:00] I know I sent them a review request. you're, you're still going to run into the problem where you have two people with the same name that both have the tag. So,
[01:32:07] Jarryd Holmes: Hmm.
[01:32:08] Charles Higgins: know, inevitably it's going to happen at some point, but yeah, it's getting there, it's getting there,
[01:32:13] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Cutting the problem in half, you'll never get
[01:32:15] Charles Higgins: right? I mean, yeah, do the best you can and move on.
[01:32:19] Charles Higgins: Yeah.
[01:32:20] Jarryd Holmes: Fight along.
[01:32:21] Sharan Kaur: th
[01:32:21] Ads Manager Enhancements
---
[01:32:21] Alister Shirazi: at they're making to the ads manager. So the ads manager for me has been, we use it all the time. I don't know if a lot of people are using it, but, my business model is we teach people Facebook ads. So we have a program where you learn Facebook ads and then we can help you with the implementation.
[01:32:36] Alister Shirazi: And then for an upcharge, we'll actually launch your ads for you. but we're not necessarily managing people's ads to where we're like owning their entire ad account. Thank you. We help them get up and running, which is like one of the biggest pushes of a ad agency. It's like that's where a lot of the work comes from is the initial launch.
[01:32:52] Alister Shirazi: So what we do instead of managing your ads and you have the typical cost of 2000, 3, 000 a month for your typical ad agency, we're helping [01:33:00] you. Get launched. We launched at one time. They provide like a period of support and one of the biggest pieces of friction for us was actually, getting access to the ads ads ads manager.
[01:33:10] Alister Shirazi: And I've tried all the tools out there. I've tried. I don't want to name any, but I've tried all the tools out there and even like natively through Facebook. It's always just been a pain in the butt. Like, it never quite works. And it's not really configured. And like you requested that I should request.
[01:33:23] Alister Shirazi: And then it's like, Oh, yeah. It's always a pain in the butt trying to get their ads launched, with the connecting to their ads manager, but with the ads manager feature in high level, it's literally flawless in terms of your ability to launch without having to worry about the access issues. We just go into their account and we launched and we launched their ads.
[01:33:43] Alister Shirazi: There's no of that back and forth of like the access issues that we had before. So this is a super powerful tool for us that we're leveraging. and. It's a limited in a few ways. One of the biggest ways is that you can't currently edit ads. you can make a couple edits like at the location, [01:34:00] but it's not near like you can't do a B testing.
[01:34:02] Alister Shirazi: You can't do messenger ads. There's a lot of stuff you can't do. They're making it more robust and I'm sure they're going to add stuff in time. But, one, a couple of features that they added recently was, the statistics for the ads manager, which is cool because before we were launching the ads and then we had to just back out, okay, how much did they spend?
[01:34:19] Alister Shirazi: How many leads came through the automations? And so, but now we can actually look at, you know, more detailed statistics based off of their ads, which allows us to almost, be able to like monitor their performance and in ways that we couldn't before. So the new update is that they have ads manager statistics built into high level.
[01:34:37] Alister Shirazi: So we can now kind of look at how their campaigns are performing without needing access to their ads manager, which for my business model, that's been like a huge, huge, big, big thing. That would be
[01:34:46] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I'd
[01:34:46] Charles Higgins: Well, and so
[01:34:47] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: trigger stuff off of that. It's like when ad spend hits a certain mod or a conversion rate hits a certain amount, you can now build a bunch of automations. I'm dreaming.
[01:34:55] Jarryd Holmes: thing, it's
[01:34:57] Alister Shirazi: Not yet.
[01:34:58] Charles Higgins: Well, one of the big [01:35:00] discussions that I had, so I talked with the PM, I had a meeting cause he wasn't actually at the event. and so set up a meeting with him the next week. Cause you know, honestly, I think it is an, A great tool to put in your toolbox as an agency owner, and offer that to your clients.
[01:35:15] Charles Higgins: The problem is, is they've had really low adoption of it and one of the biggest holdbacks. So if you're still listening to this, one of the, one of the biggest holdbacks, it sounds like Alistair, you're doing the percentage side.
[01:35:26] Alister Shirazi: No, I'm not. No. So we, we just, we just
[01:35:29] Charles Higgins: hooking up.
[01:35:30] Alister Shirazi: we just charge a flat rate for whatever it is we do. I, I, I, I really did not like that percentage thing. I didn't
[01:35:35] Charles Higgins: Well, and so, yeah, and a lot of people had a problem with this. They're, you know, there was a big caveat of you had two different models that you could go after. You could go after their percentage where high level takes a percent, and then you have your markup of percent, which confused the living daylights out of most people.
[01:35:52] Charles Higgins: and then you had the, where you could pay 97 a month. Well, The problem was, is that a lot of people that are new to high level [01:36:00] or new to running ads had no clue which direction they wanted to go or what the platform even looked like. and there was this huge caveat of, Hey, once you pick an option, you can't switch it. stuck. And it's like, well, then I'm not turning it on, you know? So good news is, this quarter they are planning on removing that. So you can actually switch. So if you wanted to just see what it looked like without putting out any money, you could go the commission side. So that way you can kind of see what it looks like in there, play around with it.
[01:36:33] Charles Higgins: And then you could flip over to the other plan, which I think is the better plan for most people is just paying. For access for all your sub accounts and being able to rebuild it or resell it for whatever you want. I was excited to, one thing I will say, I was actually kind of kind of impressed. you know, if anybody's looked at the social media templates that are in the template library from high level, they're absolutely atrocious.
[01:36:56] Charles Higgins: they're horrible. So when I
[01:36:58] Jarryd Holmes: never exist.
[01:36:59] Matt Deseno: [01:37:00] templates.
[01:37:01] Charles Higgins: I saw the ad library templates in there, I was like, Oh gosh, I hope these aren't like the social, they're actually pretty nice templates. I mean, granted they, they are very basic templates. You know, you'd want to create your own, but, the fact that they have opened up the template library to that, so companies like, you know, what Alistair is doing where they can, you know, prepare, they can take what they know and they do well.
[01:37:25] Charles Higgins: Prepare these templates, you know, use custom values or whatever they can to backfill those templates and be able to just drop a template into a sub account. and offer that with different industries and it just makes that whole process so much easier. But yeah, wanted to let everybody know they are removing the part where you.
[01:37:45] Charles Higgins: Pick one and that's it because they, they've had really low adoption because of that,
[01:37:50] Matt Deseno: Oh, yeah, you get there and you're like, I don't know the right answer. I'm gonna go
[01:37:53] Alister Shirazi: I'm not ready to get married yet. Yeah.
[01:37:55] Charles Higgins: Yeah, I just want to look at it. Can we go on a date first? You know? Yeah.
[01:37:58] Alister Shirazi: Is that, are those [01:38:00] templates available now for the, for the social
[01:38:02] Charles Higgins: they are. So if you go into the agency side, if you go into your agency and template library, you'll see them in there and they've got quite a few in there. I'm sure it will be like a website and funnel templates.
[01:38:12] Charles Higgins: They'll continue adding more. even though they've seemed to have totally forgotten about social media templates, hopefully they'll
[01:38:18] Matt Deseno: It was one of the earlier ones. That's That's
[01:38:20] Matt Deseno: why I said
[01:38:20] Charles Higgins: was,
[01:38:21] Matt Deseno: I gotta give a shout out to gustinson if you guys know
[01:38:24] Charles Higgins: Mmm, pre
[01:38:25] Matt Deseno: all of the The prebuilt sections. Those are the best templates inside of high level right now. You go to the funnel website. That's why I was so surprised when they did the webinar ones.
[01:38:34] Matt Deseno: I was like, I'm pretty sure like Gus and had prebuilt sections that look a thousand times better than this. but yeah, as they come with a new template areas, they get, you know, better and better. but, that and, and,the global, actually that's part of it now, like the global sections across a sub account.
[01:38:53] Matt Deseno: For funnels as opposed to just global sections in there. This is this was not a summit release but I'd say there was a lot of stuff in the last like six weeks pre summit [01:39:00] that they were like gearing up for and I've just trashed their templates too many times. I had to give him some credit. So Gustin was a
[01:39:06] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: No, I mean, as long as it's true. As
[01:39:08] Vit Muller: Are you saying, are you saying that, global sections can now be like actually be global, like across funnels or websites?
[01:39:16] Matt Deseno: Across the account not just the not just the single one So basically the annoyance was global sections used to only be in a in a funnel And so if you create a fun or like a footer, you're like, ah, I got it Either have a massively long funnel that has a hundred steps in it because I'd never want to like have to manage those global elements But yeah with the global or what I forget what they're calling it But the stuff that Guston did now you can create your own version of the same thing.
[01:39:40] Matt Deseno: And so essentially have global that are actually global
[01:39:43] Vit Muller: freaking awesome.
[01:39:44] Charles Higgins: A big push for that was blogs coming in. because it was a totally separate builder and it's like, Hey, I've got this great website or funnel. It, you know, I've got my header that is nailed my footer that's nailed. Oh, by the way, you can't import it or use any of that [01:40:00] in the blog builder. and it really.
[01:40:02] Charles Higgins: Through a lot of people for a loop, for quite some time. so, which I'm happy about the blog importer, because I think if you're not using high levels, like if you're of the thought process that high levels, blog builder can not generate you traffic. there's a lot of people out there that are generating a hell of a lot of traffic off of high levels, blog builder.
[01:40:25] Charles Higgins: in short amount of time, not. Like, and these aren't expert bloggers. I'll, I'll tell you that. but they're generating a ton of traffic. So I was glad to see that import to, you know, with the additions to the WordPress hosting additions to selling domains and things that they're bringing in the websites and funnels, I think, you know, being able to get people off of WordPress or out of Wix or whatever system they've been using, be able to import that, that blog, is.
[01:40:53] Charles Higgins: Pretty powerful, for sure.
[01:40:54] Alister Shirazi: I gotta bounce guys. It's
[01:40:56] Vit Muller: yes, I was going to say it's, 10 to 11 PM for me. [01:41:00] I'm kind of fried out. So, I just really quickly.
[01:41:02] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: night.
[01:41:03] Matt Deseno: Yeah, I could go another two hours
[01:41:05] Vit Muller: Hey,
[01:41:05] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: do it.
[01:41:06] Vit Muller: got one last
[01:41:07] Jarryd Holmes: the morning here.
[01:41:08] Vit Muller: I just, I just got to fulfill my OCD. I have one last thing on the list. but I'll, I'll answer if you're going to bounce, you're going to bounce.
[01:41:15] Email Campaign Segmentation
---
[01:41:15] Vit Muller: So thank you for being on, guys, prebuilt prebuilt segments for targeted email campaigns. I've. This has been one of the biggest pain points, like when I was, you know, whenever I like did some work for clients, especially like leading up to like Christmas period, like Friday, and you want to, you know, generally you tend to send a lot more like higher cadence of emails and you don't want to like burn your list and so having to manually figuring out, you know, exporting a report of who opened the emails and then tag those people so that I can put them in the next campaign and all that is now fully taken care of.
[01:41:48] Vit Muller: So. For those guys listening, what that means is now when you want to send a new email campaign, you can now, select from people who have engaged, only people who are engaged [01:42:00] if your previous campaigns in the last seven 30 or 60 days, or contacts have interacted with your last five email campaigns or who did not.
[01:42:08] Vit Muller: So that is all now. You don't have to do none of that like manual stuff. It's, it's actually pretty, pretty awesome thing. And you know, that means more targeted messaging. It means, you know, better customer retention, meaning you can create separate campaigns or, you know, to re engage the ones that are like at a higher risk, like those that didn't open for the last five emails and they're already a customer.
[01:42:30] Vit Muller: it's going to save you some money. Although email is not that expensive, but
[01:42:33] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: this whole idea of going one, having like one feature. I think this is where the technical nerdy stuff becomes really powerful. It, have one feature, but go deep in it. Because so many people have like a simple, you know, little campaign, but if you build one feature, but you just go real deep and like every possibility you have a B testing built into your thing, you have all those little options that gets really powerful.
[01:42:57] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: That's, that's where the one, the one feature is good for [01:43:00] launching quick. Sure. Quick wins, but one feature is also good for getting super nerdy into that stuff and doing it better than anyone else can. Cause no, one's going to go as deep when they only have. If you're competing with someone who only thinks about one thing.
[01:43:13] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: So yeah,
[01:43:14] Matt Deseno: This is why we've I mean, I guess it's been over a year now, but why we've been using beehive. And now I'm like, okay, maybe we can, you know, finally go back. I get the question all the time. Cause they're like, why are you using beehive? And I was like,
[01:43:25] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: What's
[01:43:26] Matt Deseno: well, honestly, genuinely built it all in high level, but we were just flying blind.
[01:43:30] Matt Deseno: And, and you're like, you know, this is. Oftentimes, there's always going to be a scenario where you're gonna, you're gonna kind of outgrow it. And I look at high levels, a good pacer there too. You're like high levels, blog runs on WordPress. No doubt you can rank and get traffic and stuff like that. You're like, you know, same thing where like high levels affiliate program on first promoter.
[01:43:46] Matt Deseno: You know what I mean? There are certain things where you push the boundary of it, where, there are use cases there, but that was a, that was a big one having that segmented awareness of who you're sending to, you know, or even just to know like. Is it successful? We keep a [01:44:00] KPI. that's what we call it.
[01:44:00] Matt Deseno: But it's like the people who open 90 percent of our emails. Like, so on the positive side. You go like an average rate. It's like, I want to know what number, fixed number of people open 90 percent of all the emails that we've sent to them. Let's call it like, super fans, or I don't know, people who have assistants who open all their emails.
[01:44:16] Matt Deseno: But, either way, to have those kind of segments, so you're like, okay, I know, we're going in the right direction, we're creating good content, because it's increasing the number of folks that,
[01:44:25] Vit Muller: hmm.
[01:44:25] Matt Deseno: I would love for them to, they're going to expand it so you can define your own segments there. But,
[01:44:29] Vit Muller: Speaking
[01:44:29] Charles Higgins: think it backs up to what you were saying earlier with like the webinars and the quizzes, like it was stuff we could already do.but to an end user standpoint, because, you know, being pure SAS, I'm more concerned about the end user experience than I am my experience. I can deal with whatever crap they throw at me, but I want the end user experience as good as possible.
[01:44:49] Charles Higgins: And so I think that was, you know, for the email side and email campaigns, that was a way of them bringing that to the surface. So that is. Much easier for people to implement. Sure. You [01:45:00] could do it. You could run reports, create a smart list and like go through this whole five, 10 step process to do the same thing.
[01:45:06] Charles Higgins: But you know, if you're new to high level or if you're an end user, no way you were figuring that out. unless you really knew the platform inside and out. So, I think they did a good job at bringing a lot of the stuff to the surface, to make it a little more approachable, in some ways.
[01:45:22] Charles Higgins: So.
[01:45:23] Matt Deseno: Are you guys going to next year's summit?
[01:45:25] Vit Muller: bought a ticket already.
[01:45:27] Matt Deseno: That's my advice to anybody who's listening. Buy a ticket now. It's the cheapest it'll ever be. You could buy the lowest tier. It's the cheapest it'll ever be. And if you want to upgrade, it's always a marginal similarity. So if you're like, ah, I don't know if I should do the core or the VIP, just buy the cheap one.
[01:45:41] Matt Deseno: It's the cheapest it'll ever be. And then when you want to upgrade, they're not going to say like, well, you bought, well, at least you can make the argument. The, I'll pay the difference between the ticket that I have. You know what I mean? So usually they scale in discount. So if it's a 400 or whatever the difference is there, my encouragement is just buy the cheapest ticket.
[01:45:56] Matt Deseno: That's it. It's the cheapest it'll ever be, and then when you want to upgrade, it'll just be [01:46:00] like, I already, your ticket will have increased by 700, but the difference between where you're at and the next level will have marginally been the same. So, buy a ticket now.
[01:46:08] Charles Higgins: And then, and then just clip that recording of Matt DeSano and send that to billing at high level and say, look, Matt said
[01:46:15] Jarryd Holmes: said.
[01:46:16] Charles Higgins: yeah, Matt said that we could upgrade to VIP, for
[01:46:20] Matt Deseno: their, their constraint is not like food. Their constraint is seats in the building, you know what I mean? They're like, you, and they're, they're making sure they're covering costs. Like, you want to pay us 500 for 450 worth of stuff? Yeah, we can figure that one out. And so, But
[01:46:35] Charles Higgins: they're going to be in a new, new, space next year. I mean,
[01:46:38] Jarryd Holmes: True.
[01:46:39] Matt Deseno: it's going to be
[01:46:39] Charles Higgins: if you've been in the previous ones, you're definitely, in for treat next year,
[01:46:44] Sharan Kaur: Oh yeah, the new space is beautiful. You walk in and you feel like you're walking into a palace. It's going to be a fun time.
[01:46:51] Charles Higgins: Well, and there's that thing called space.
[01:46:53] Vit Muller: mean, for me as a, as a, for me as a foreigner, I will miss the ability to be like directly in the center. And now it's like [01:47:00] out in the outskirts by the highway. So, on that note, that also means you need to book your accommodation. I think at the venue, like it's, it's going to be very difficult to like to be accommodated anywhere else because it's not in a city center, but yeah, I mean, it's a huge place.
[01:47:15] Vit Muller: That's for
[01:47:15] Matt Deseno: There's surfing close by in Texas. Somebody is a surfer. Hit me up. We're definitely doing a surf
[01:47:20] Vit Muller: Okay. Yep.
[01:47:21] Matt Deseno: October surfing. It's a little bit
[01:47:23] Matt Deseno: earlier you, what do you think Jarrett? You're going to brush of a surfboard.
[01:47:26] Jarryd Holmes: Oh mate, willing to learn. I'm, I'm, I'm fishing these days. There's that many rivers and things down here in Tassie. It's just sticking with something simple like that. I don't think surfing is going to be my forte, but I'll give it a go.
[01:47:37] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I'll put some floaties on, it'll be fun.
[01:47:39] Matt Deseno: go.
[01:47:39] Vit Muller: All right, guys. let's wrap it up.
[01:47:41] Final Thoughts and Future Plans
---
[01:47:41] Vit Muller: Thank you so much for jumping on. I know, you know, we're all busy and I mean, this is it's Monday Like this is crazy. I mean, I don't understand why you agreed to this on monday two hours of your time But thank you so much it means a lot to
[01:47:53] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: hours of
[01:47:53] Charles Higgins: It's just because we love you that,
[01:47:55] Vit Muller: And, but I mean, if, if, if you really enjoy this, I have been thinking, you know, like I've been [01:48:00] doing like one on one interviews and this is a very new format.
[01:48:02] Vit Muller: I'm not used to this. This is not like, I thought I'm going to moderate this, but it doesn't work that way. And there's this group and everybody's got different opinions and whatnot, but I, but you know, like it could, It could be an interesting, like a concept on like once a quarter, if you'd be open to it, to like be invited again for some particular thing, discussion topic, we'd love to have you back, or at least an annual regroup and talking about level up stuff and just geek out and, yeah.
[01:48:28] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: do this every week, man. Every hour I'm
[01:48:30] Vit Muller: I know, I know you.
[01:48:31] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: I'm not It's one hour I'm not, like, shitposting and starting fights and arguments on the high level Facebook group. So it's a public service for you to
[01:48:40] Matt Deseno: You just troll Alex for like the next
[01:48:42] Charles Higgins: or, or putting, yeah. Or
[01:48:46] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: mods, I, we have, the mods, They have a, yeah, Captain, there's a love, love hate relationship I have with the mods. They like some of my posts. And then there's others they don't like.
[01:48:55] Vit Muller: speaking of love guys, if, and this is also for you listening. If you, you know, [01:49:00] like. Matt, you talked about how you like monitor your newsletter and like, how is it going? Like I look at analytics of the podcast and it's growing like in terms of downloads. It's month to month, like about 20, 30%. It's exciting, but, I don't really have like any real like, feedback.
[01:49:14] Vit Muller: And so there is, URL. if you go to highlevelexperience.com/review, there's three simple buttons. those top three buttons, To a more important Apple podcast and Spotify that let you review the podcast. If you really enjoy the podcast, please, you know, give it a shout out, give it some reviews, whatever.
[01:49:33] Vit Muller: If you hate it, don't take action and, and yeah, be just really good
[01:49:39] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Review gating! Review gating! You heard him!
[01:49:42] Vit Muller: So guys, yeah, once again, did, did any of you wanted to have any last piece of, remaining words to anybody listening? Anything
[01:49:50] Sharan Kaur: One last thing. So with, with all these new features that are coming out and like incremental improvements that high level is making, the only thing that goes through my mind [01:50:00] is it is so much easier to join high level now than it was like three or four years ago when probably all of us joined. So if anyone's on the fence, if they should go into high level or start an agency or just even use it as an end user, it is a lot easier now.
[01:50:16] Sharan Kaur: I guarantee and promise you just go for it.
[01:50:19] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: My, my last word would be, if it's worth building, it's worth documenting. Make sure you write, whatever you build, just write it down. And that'll save you a whole lot of problems.
[01:50:29] Vit Muller: Hey guys, this is the bit where, when I export this transcript and I'll be looking for like, find me the best quotes. Like this is your chance, you know?
[01:50:36] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: don't touch my shit.
[01:50:38] Sharan Kaur: There you go, got it, my stuff, leave her alone. That's my quote.
[01:50:42] Vit Muller: right. think a big ones, a big ones don't get caught in the clouds. You know, there's so many great features within high level. There really, really is. There's so many shiny things, but just continue to focus on the things that work. There's new things, like we've spoken about today that have come out.
[01:50:56] Jarryd Holmes: And so, you know. It's great that these are available, and, and [01:51:00] explore them, but always remember that you can stick with your core three, four things and really make a difference, impact people's lives, save people's lives in business, just by offering those.
[01:51:09] Vit Muller: I don't know, by the way, if you notice, but I've, I've purposely picked you guys in here and there was a reason why I invited Rob Bailey as well. I know he is no nerd into stuff. He would tell you first time, you know, but he is somebody that you need to listen to as well. And talking to you guys, listening as well, you know, Rob's, Rob's, big mantra is sell the hold on sell the drill.
[01:51:29] Vit Muller: And, you know, I wish he could have been here with us because it would have been a, he would add a nice extra touch together with Alex. Should
[01:51:36] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: Wars, we ended
[01:51:37] Charles Higgins: wouldn't have been alone.
[01:51:38] Micheal Luigi Pacitto: minutes about nipple tassels. It would have gone in some weird places. But yeah, it would have been interesting. We miss you, Rob.
[01:51:46] Matt Deseno: It's good to have both sides of the coin because, you know, we're all diverse. We've, we look at things differently and it's just, you know, and people have different perspectives and you guys listening, you might not relate to what we talk about here. So, you know, next time.far, [01:52:00] hopefully they're really, but
[01:52:02] Vit Muller: yeah.
[01:52:02] Matt Deseno: my, my encouragement is.money loves speed. So, all these things that are out here, it's not about geeking out or the simplicity of it, but the faster you take action on it, the more credit you get. And so, these things that we've discussed and gone deep into, if you're, if you're like, that's cool, I'll make a note and come back to this in six to eight months, I guarantee millions of dollars will have been made while you're thinking about doing something.
[01:52:24] Matt Deseno: And so, if you just pick one thing and take action on it, speed is kind of the unfair advantage.
[01:52:29] Vit Muller: Yeah. Speaking of six to eight months, that's how long I go for when I create reels from each episode. It covers about eight months in the future. So I think, I think you guys be all right there in about eight months, you'll be able to see one of the clips that we pick out from today's interview. And with that, with that, let's wrap it up.
[01:52:45] Vit Muller: So thank you guys so much. Once again, thank you for being on.
[01:52:48] Vit Muller: Thank you guys for, all of you listening. really appreciate you. If you've enjoyed today's episode, then please share it with your fellow agency mates and other high levelers that you think would also benefit from listening for show notes, links, and extra [01:53:00] tips to help you grow your agency or your sales with high level.

[01:53:19] Vit Muller: Thank you guys and have a great rest of your day, everybody.
