ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What does truly being a "stress-free dental professional" mean, and is it possible?
In this candid episode of The Future of Dentistry, host Anne Duffy reconnects with Dr. Eric Block—practicing dentist, author, and advocate for change—for an honest look at the personal side of life behind the dental chair.
Dr. Block reveals the ups and downs of his journey, from the life-changing dental procedure that ignited his passion in college to the academic struggles and anxiety he faced in dental school. He shares how mounting stress and burnout nearly pushed him to leave dentistry altogether (until he found new perspective through marriage, mentorship, and therapy.) Together, Anne and Dr. Block delve into the reality of burnout in the dental profession and how prioritizing mental health can help create a more fulfilling and sustainable career. Hear about actionable resources, including Dr. Block’s book, "The Stress-Free Dentist," and the founding of the International Academy of Dental Life Coaches, dedicated to empowering dental professionals with life-changing support.
