speaker-1: Forum is a Red Rising adjacent podcast for curious howlers. For over ten years, Piers Brown has given us like a really rich list of source texts within the Red Rising universe itself, but also through public appearances. ⁓ and we have, for better or worse, collected the Institute's required reading list. That is what the forum is gonna be exploring.
speaker-0: And for those of you out there that aren't aware, the forum in ancient times was a place where you'd meet, you'd exchange ideas, shoot the shit, disagree, but you know, you're amongst friends, so it's not the end of the world. ⁓ and you'd also trade visions of that world and and hopefully, ⁓ ideally, share a laugh. ⁓ we plan to stick to that, but we want to introduce a a heavy, heavy dollop of bread rising for the howlers out there because we think there's a ton of connective material kind of ton of connected tissue. ⁓ when we meet each month, we'll be diving deep into the classics, ⁓ not just of philosophy and military history and political science, but also the classics of fiction and science fiction. ⁓ and we want to find out where they intersect, where they connect, but also where do they diverge from the world of the society, the rising, and Darrow himself. So where does this ⁓ idea for the forum kind of, what's the origin?

And you pitched a brilliant idea to me and I said, Okay, that sounds fucking great. It can't be another broy podcast. I think we're my exact words. If you if you're gonna talk about the Roman Empire, you cannot be the picture.

We talked about military history podcasts that we both enjoyed. We've talked about books that we had both enjoyed. So it wasn't like totally red

And and there's a reason like I reached out to you because as I've as we've connected and kind of interacted, you have a ⁓ a different totally different take on the world than I do in in a lot of the details. But then we actually kind of meet in some really interesting places and in some i interesting ways. And I think that ⁓ that's the goal of the forum. We wanna find ways in which we maybe disagree or diverge on the details, but where we connect on the important shit. And one of those is is Red Rising. So where can people find the forum? How can they find the forum? And when will this podcast be up? Once a month, we'll be posting our free episode, which will be a 30, 40-minute romp, kind of a taster, a teaser of the overall topic.
