Lesson 486: Practical Magic 2 - Sorcery, Love and Other Drugs (Spoilers)

Light the black flame candles, blend up the midnight margaritas, and whatever you do, don't look at the afternoon television lineup!

Before the studio can even open a spellbook, Spencer hijacks the mic to take the table on a deeply unhinged nostalgia trip back to the 90s afternoon cartoon block. Specifically? Those aggressively intense, wildly memorable anti-drug PSAs.

Eddie, Spencer, and Amy go down a bizarre rabbit hole recalling the golden age of televised scare tactics, frying pans, and catchy jingles. Fair warning to the listeners: between the nostalgia and the sheer chaos of the studio banter, the team ends up talking about meth way more than anyone originally planned for a film podcast.

Once the 90s flashbacks subside, Intern Manager/Managing Intern Amy officially takes the hosting wheel! She leads Eddie and Spencer through a review of her most highly anticipated cinematic follow-up of the decade: Practical Magic 2.

As a die-hard, lifelong fan of the beloved franchise across both the original film and the literature, Amy breaks down the lore, the curses, and the long-awaited return of the Owens sisters. But the ultimate question remains: does this sequel actually hold up to her sky-high romantic expectations, or should this spell have been left unbroken?

Did the magic return to Massachusetts, or did the 90s PSAs fry the studio's brains? Grab your broomsticks and tune in to find out!
