ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Jacob and Daniel turn their attention to the Big 12, the conference with the most parity in college football outside of Texas Tech. They kick things off with the top storylines heading into 2026, including the Will Hammond situation at Texas Tech, BYU's case as a legitimate national contender, what to expect from Oklahoma State in their rebuild year, Rich Rod at West Virginia, Utah's shot at a big season, and Kansas State quietly setting up for a special year. They also debate who the best quarterback in the Big 12 is before hitting over/unders on all 16 teams. The episode wraps with best bets, a conference championship pick, and a dark horse to watch.Follow Daniel on X: https://x.com/DeepSouthDanielFollow Jacob on X: https://x.com/jacobkarnesSubscribe to The Extra Point on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCalGwyunlQPiiEfiAiZPx9QFollow the show on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theextrapointpod/Follow and Subscribe to The Extra Point on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts.Website: theextrapointpod.com Chapters:00:00 - Intro & Big 12 Overview02:00 - Texas Tech: Will Hammond and the Big 12 Title Defense12:00 - BYU: Legit National Contender20:00 - Oklahoma State: Rebuild Year27:00 - West Virginia: Rich Rod Is Back33:00 - Utah: Quietly Dangerous40:00 - Kansas State: Year of the Wildcats48:00 - Best QB in the Big 1255:00 - Win Total Picks01:10:00 - Best Bets01:13:00 - Big 12 Championship Picks & Dark Horse01:18:00 - Final Thoughts & Big Ten Preview Teaser
