ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What separates truly exceptional performers from everyone else? It's not talent or intelligence—it's their unshakeable commitment to consistent action, regardless of circumstances.
The most successful people understand that choices determine where you are, but commitments determine where you're going. As Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank noted, great entrepreneurs have mastered the art of separating signal from noise. They focus almost exclusively on what truly matters while filtering out distractions that derail progress. Steve Jobs operated at 80% signal, while Elon Musk functions at nearly 100% signal—though perhaps at the cost of social finesse.
These high performers establish non-negotiable daily commitments—specific actions they complete without fail. These commitments aren't necessarily monumental; they're often quite simple. But the consistency creates a compounding effect that builds unstoppable momentum. Like bank deposits that grow over time, each kept commitment strengthens your relationship with yourself and develops the mental muscle needed for greater achievements.
What makes this approach powerful is its emphasis on consistency over perfection. The most common mistake is setting unrealistically high standards, failing to meet them, then abandoning the practice entirely. Instead, start with manageable commitments you can consistently fulfill. Success comes from hitting singles regularly, not swinging for home runs. The home runs will come naturally as you develop the consistency muscle through regular practice.
Want a practical framework to implement this approach? Try the "Three F's": Focus on three priorities for tomorrow, identify three things you would Fix about today, and acknowledge three things you Feel grateful for. This simple structure builds clarity, learning, and positive perspective—all in just minutes per day.
When you consistently show up for yourself—especially when you don't feel like it—you activate what some call the "Mamba Mentality," that part of yourself that thrives in adversity and rises to challenges. Ready to transform your results through daily commitments? Start with the Three F's tonight.

00:00:01.683 --> 00:00:06.232
Right, you're like that buzzer ain't rang, that game ain't over with, so keep going.
00:00:06.232 --> 00:00:12.689
I have thrived in that chaos.
00:00:12.689 --> 00:00:18.544
How could this be happening?
00:00:18.544 --> 00:00:20.829
Did any of you guys pay attention to anything I said?
00:00:20.829 --> 00:00:24.015
Like get arrested, guess, until they get the message.
00:00:24.015 --> 00:00:32.475
Welcome back to the reckless ceo podcast, where we keep it real raw and reckless about business and life.
00:00:32.475 --> 00:00:34.801
They ain't really gotten the sauce and I ain't got.
00:00:34.801 --> 00:00:36.104
You know what I mean it's like.
00:00:36.104 --> 00:00:41.463
Here is your host, the reckless ceo himself, michael mcgovern.
00:00:41.463 --> 00:00:44.029
Welcome back to the reckless ceo podcast.
00:00:44.530 --> 00:00:46.914
I'm excited for today's message.
00:00:46.914 --> 00:00:48.744
It's a little mix-up.
00:00:48.744 --> 00:00:54.412
I feel like I have a good personal experience story to tell.
00:00:54.412 --> 00:00:57.649
First off, it's been what an amazing day it's been.
00:00:57.649 --> 00:01:02.534
My brother just recently had his second baby tonight.
00:01:02.534 --> 00:01:03.979
Her name is Liberty.
00:01:03.979 --> 00:01:07.349
That was an amazing experience.
00:01:07.739 --> 00:01:18.091
You know, I think we all go so fast and we're always looking for you know what's ahead and what's coming up next and you know when you're sitting there holding a you know, a newborn baby.
00:01:18.091 --> 00:01:21.105
You know it's almost like everything else kind of goes away.
00:01:21.105 --> 00:01:21.706
Right.
00:01:21.706 --> 00:01:26.915
It brings you back to what's the important things in life.
00:01:26.915 --> 00:01:46.635
You know, as you might say, because I think business is important and making money is important, but, you know, family and connection is one of those things that you know, no matter how far we want to go, it's something that's always going to be important to slow down and take advantage of when you can.
00:01:46.635 --> 00:01:48.847
So congratulations to him.
00:01:50.221 --> 00:01:59.231
Other big news this week I released my first published book, and so if you are interested in checking that out, go over to Amazon.
00:01:59.231 --> 00:02:07.149
It's on homeowner wealth is the name of the book, and really this has been something that took, you know, it took me a little bit of time.
00:02:07.149 --> 00:02:14.372
Um, you know, I've I've wrote a few other books that I uh never really did anything with or kind of took them to the finish line.
00:02:14.372 --> 00:02:20.828
Uh, you know, I think that there's a lot of judgment that you have to be aware of, right?
00:02:20.828 --> 00:02:31.491
Um, you know, and whether anyone cares or doesn't care, I think, as humans, you know putting your words and thoughts out there for others to read and go through.
00:02:31.491 --> 00:02:41.350
You know, there's something a little bit a little scary to that, you know, and then I try to like, look at myself and say, well, like, have I ever read a book and thought to myself, like, who is this guy?
00:02:41.350 --> 00:02:41.792
Right?
00:02:41.792 --> 00:02:47.981
No, I don't know that I've ever thought that.
00:02:47.981 --> 00:02:57.367
And so often those thoughts we have are just thoughts and fears that we keep up in our head and nine times out of 10, they are not as bad as you may think that they would be.
00:02:57.367 --> 00:03:04.290
So, yeah, so if you want to check that out Homeowner Wealth on Amazon, if you're going to leave me a review, that would be great.
00:03:04.290 --> 00:03:08.710
You can get it on hardback or and or audible.
00:03:08.710 --> 00:03:10.134
So it's on our Kindle.
00:03:10.134 --> 00:03:10.917
Sorry, not audible.
00:03:10.917 --> 00:03:21.421
Not audible yet, that'll be next, but yeah, so that was an exciting thing and really kind of I don't want to sell here on my, on my podcast, but really what homeowner wealth is is when I look at the roofing industry.
00:03:21.442 --> 00:03:27.987
Really, what homeowner wealth is is when I look at the roofing industry, home service industry right, it's very transactional.
00:03:27.987 --> 00:03:30.629
Right, it's very wild, wild west.
00:03:30.629 --> 00:03:34.293
It's very, it's very like, especially in the insurance game.
00:03:34.293 --> 00:03:37.937
You know it's about closing deals, right, it's a lot of quantity game.
00:03:37.937 --> 00:04:00.632
And for me personally you know I came from the real estate side Before I got into roofing, I was flipping houses and learning how to find an off-market, distressed property, buying it at a value and then increasing the value to add equity and to eventually sell the home for more money than you bought it for.
00:04:02.382 --> 00:04:17.392
When I got into roofing I was, I've tried to kind of push that message and you know to, to sit down and explain that to homeowners that you know the value of, you know what the roof can do right, not just to look at it as a transaction or a cost.
00:04:17.392 --> 00:04:20.524
Right, it can be in the right light.
00:04:20.524 --> 00:04:32.862
To me it's an investment because you know the roof itself may not be the main thing, but the roof is going to give you the opportunity to create, in, you know, a capital event with your home.
00:04:32.862 --> 00:04:40.807
Right, you're going to be able to, with buying a roof, use financing to buy the roof so you can stretch that out over 15 years.
00:04:40.807 --> 00:04:45.879
Then you can go and take that same loan and you can get siding done, you can get gutters done.
00:04:45.879 --> 00:04:53.173
And now all of a sudden excuse me now all of a sudden, a $50,000 investment has ROI 10,000.
00:04:53.173 --> 00:05:03.384
And then, if you look at an insurance side, even on that end, you can then take that same insurance check, keep the money, use the financing to get the new roof.
00:05:03.384 --> 00:05:04.625
And now you put some money in your pocket.
00:05:04.887 --> 00:05:13.081
And so really, this book is my way of not so much of the value of what I want to put out there to the marketplace.
00:05:13.081 --> 00:05:15.067
I'm like this is the end all book.
00:05:15.067 --> 00:05:18.781
Really, for me, it's an opportunity to educate homeowners on.
00:05:18.781 --> 00:05:23.850
You know, it's kind of like creating those ideal clients In any business.
00:05:23.850 --> 00:05:27.774
Our goal is not to just sell to the 3%.
00:05:27.774 --> 00:05:39.129
In any sale or anything you're selling, there's always going to be out of 100% of people, there's always going to be 3% of those people that are ready to buy.
00:05:39.168 --> 00:05:41.745
Right now you knock on their door.
00:05:41.745 --> 00:05:44.627
They've had this conversation in their head before.
00:05:44.627 --> 00:05:45.884
They already want it and they're in.
00:05:45.884 --> 00:05:46.827
They don't need much more.
00:05:46.827 --> 00:05:50.288
But then you get the 97% that needs more information.
00:05:50.288 --> 00:05:55.432
They need to know more about you, your product, why they need it, all of these different things.
00:05:55.432 --> 00:06:02.874
And so for me, by creating this book really becomes the leverage of educating people on this thing.
00:06:02.874 --> 00:06:05.687
You also get a credibility piece to it.
00:06:05.687 --> 00:06:10.423
You know, even if it's not a good book, just saying that you got a book is something that does add authority and credibility.
00:06:10.423 --> 00:06:16.968
And so if you're listening to this and you are, you know, whatever market you're in, right, think about your ideal client.
00:06:16.968 --> 00:06:24.127
What is the thing that you know you would like to tell them and write a book on it, and it's super easy.
00:06:24.127 --> 00:06:27.492
You can publish it on Amazon.
00:06:27.492 --> 00:06:39.040
There's a lot of really, really easy ways to get through it, and if that's something that you listen to, or you listen to this, and you think that sounds interesting and you'd like to know a little more, I'd be more than happy to help you out.
00:06:39.242 --> 00:06:41.725
But so let's get into today.
00:06:41.725 --> 00:06:48.656
First off, I am recording this podcast while sitting in my basement.
00:06:48.656 --> 00:06:53.048
It's about 10 o'clock at night, almost.
00:06:53.048 --> 00:06:58.105
I'm sharing this all with you because I don't want to be shooting this podcast right now.
00:06:58.105 --> 00:06:59.307
I didn't want to.
00:06:59.307 --> 00:07:00.329
I'm tired.
00:07:00.329 --> 00:07:04.180
It's been a long week tired.
00:07:04.180 --> 00:07:05.185
It's been a long week.
00:07:05.185 --> 00:07:06.209
But like, I want to share with you today.
00:07:06.249 --> 00:07:12.944
They say that life is a reflection or correlation to the choices that you make.
00:07:12.944 --> 00:07:23.831
I think that's true, but I think it's also the commitments as well, maybe even more so.
00:07:23.831 --> 00:07:26.781
Show me the commitments as well, maybe even more so.
00:07:26.781 --> 00:07:31.673
As I say, show me, show me your choices and I'll show you where you're at.
00:07:31.673 --> 00:07:37.028
Show me your commitments and I'll show you where you're going.
00:07:37.028 --> 00:07:42.541
Commitments are those things that get you to the next level.
00:07:42.541 --> 00:07:45.718
The choices get you through it.
00:07:47.490 --> 00:07:58.319
Last week, I shared a little bit on the podcast as well, that a mentor of mine came in and spoke to the team, shared with him some just incredible wisdom.
00:07:58.319 --> 00:08:01.197
It kind of took you through some of that.
00:08:01.197 --> 00:08:03.228
If you didn't listen to that, you didn't, you know.
00:08:03.228 --> 00:08:04.314
Listen to that last week.
00:08:04.314 --> 00:08:05.199
Definitely check it out.
00:08:05.199 --> 00:08:07.911
It's probably one of my more favorite podcasts that I've done.
00:08:07.911 --> 00:08:11.663
I just really felt good that day getting things off your chest right.
00:08:11.663 --> 00:08:12.310
That's why I love this.
00:08:12.310 --> 00:08:20.617
That's why I love this podcast is it's an opportunity for me to you know, share and maybe connect with some people, but, as well as you know, it's a good opportunity for me as well.
00:08:21.319 --> 00:08:24.305
So last week, ryan shared about these three daily commitments.
00:08:24.305 --> 00:08:25.012
He's like you know every.
00:08:25.012 --> 00:08:27.821
He's like the most successful people that I've ever met.
00:08:27.821 --> 00:08:30.858
They have this thing of three.
00:08:30.858 --> 00:08:32.225
You know three daily commitments.
00:08:32.225 --> 00:08:36.774
You know three commitments that are just like I'm going to get these done today, come hell or high water, I'm going to.
00:08:36.774 --> 00:08:37.638
I'm going to do this.
00:08:47.029 --> 00:08:51.984
And then this week I listened to a podcast and kevin o'leary from shark tank mr wonderful, he's on there and he's talking about this, this idea of these commitments.
00:08:51.984 --> 00:09:01.163
He said that the greatest entrepreneurs that he has ever met had an ability to separate signal from noise.
00:09:01.163 --> 00:09:06.552
Right, noise is all the things that keep you from doing the thing you need to get done.
00:09:06.552 --> 00:09:12.383
The noise, the signal, is being able to attack everything.
00:09:12.383 --> 00:09:15.095
That is actually the focal, the focus points.
00:09:15.095 --> 00:09:17.581
Right, that that signal is like can't?
00:09:17.581 --> 00:09:28.192
The higher that signal can be, where you know exactly what you need to be doing, you can actually get those things done and you can stick to it and you don't allow the noise to affect you, you will be more successful.
00:09:28.192 --> 00:09:34.691
Right, he talks about Steve Jobs and he's like you know, steve Jobs was 80% signal 80% of the time.
00:09:34.691 --> 00:09:37.294
He was on point, unlocked in 20%.
00:09:37.294 --> 00:09:38.355
Maybe the noise got to him.
00:09:38.355 --> 00:09:41.279
Right, he would have to recalibrate.
00:09:41.279 --> 00:09:48.433
He said Elon Musk, 100% signal and you can tell he's not very social.
00:09:48.433 --> 00:09:54.214
You know very, very awkward in the way of doing some things and the way that he shows up and the stuff that he's.
00:09:54.214 --> 00:09:56.821
You know the way that just, he is as a person.
00:09:56.821 --> 00:09:59.995
So you can tell that he's wired for this like all signal all the time.
00:10:00.937 --> 00:10:08.863
And so I thought it was very like serendipitous that I haven't listened to Ryan and then this week, you know, I've been hyper-focused on that.
00:10:08.863 --> 00:10:17.735
You know I, every day, I wrote down my my three commitments that I'm going to get done for the next day and a few other things.
00:10:17.735 --> 00:10:20.961
I'll share that as we wrap up tonight.
00:10:20.961 --> 00:10:24.539
I'm kind of going to give you a few things to kind to help you with this process.
00:10:24.539 --> 00:10:30.193
Every day this week I put my three in In the morning or at night.
00:10:30.193 --> 00:10:35.918
When I wrap up the day in the morning, review them, make sure that they're my focus points for that following day.
00:10:35.918 --> 00:10:37.604
I'm not going to lie.
00:10:37.604 --> 00:10:41.120
There's been a couple days where I didn't get those things done.
00:10:41.120 --> 00:10:50.903
Maybe I thought I had more time, didn't give things enough time, but regardless, I was pretty on it all week and I even was on my team.
00:10:51.770 --> 00:10:57.091
I coached some of them on Friday and got back into this stuff today and said, yeah, you know how important it is.
00:10:57.091 --> 00:10:57.913
You need to be doing it.
00:10:57.913 --> 00:10:59.615
It's helping me already.
00:10:59.615 --> 00:11:05.465
Make sure we're doing this thing, guys, and as a leader, we have to be that example.
00:11:05.465 --> 00:11:12.576
As a leader, we have to push those things that we know is going to make people successful.
00:11:12.576 --> 00:11:14.301
We also have to do them.
00:11:14.301 --> 00:11:21.798
Or it doesn't hit the same and even if they don't know that, you know it.
00:11:21.798 --> 00:11:32.125
Subconsciously, you know that if you are telling people or you're setting a standard and you're not meeting that standard yourself, you know.
00:11:32.125 --> 00:11:39.581
And so I wanted to shoot this on Friday didn't get to it.
00:11:39.581 --> 00:11:42.956
I wanted to shoot this on Saturday didn't get to it.
00:11:42.956 --> 00:11:45.482
Worked both days, didn't find the time.
00:11:47.551 --> 00:11:50.692
Today came, told myself I'm going to get over to the office and shoot this today.
00:11:50.692 --> 00:11:53.198
I didn't do it, didn't have time.
00:11:53.198 --> 00:11:56.481
Baby came, leah got home and so I just.
00:11:56.481 --> 00:11:58.291
Next thing, you know, it's 9 o'clock at night.
00:11:58.291 --> 00:12:04.563
I'm wrapping up for the day, I get a text from Reese and he's like hey, man, what podcast are we putting out tomorrow?
00:12:04.563 --> 00:12:07.635
I'm like gosh, can we find an old one?
00:12:07.635 --> 00:12:14.192
Or let's find some that I'm featured on and let's just drop those so we can just keep the consistency going.
00:12:14.192 --> 00:12:19.076
Well, we were unable to do that this evening.
00:12:19.076 --> 00:12:38.956
So I'm getting wrapped up for my day and we get back from the hospital, I sit down and I'm like I got to shoot this podcast, because if I don't shoot this podcast tonight, what example is that setting for myself going into the week?
00:12:38.956 --> 00:12:41.649
See, that's what we don't understand.
00:12:41.769 --> 00:12:54.397
Is that as much as it's about these commitments that we make, it's just about fulfilling the things you say you're going to do, whether you do them great, whether you just get them done.
00:12:54.397 --> 00:13:01.196
Too often we look at these commitments and these things of like.
00:13:01.196 --> 00:13:03.662
They have to be life altering.
00:13:03.662 --> 00:13:12.621
You know, they've always got to be the three biggest thing that you're going to get done every day, and we hold ourselves to this standard of perfection that can never be met.
00:13:12.621 --> 00:13:14.914
So then what happens?
00:13:14.914 --> 00:13:25.181
We set this super high bar, we jump all in, doesn't happen, we kick ourselves and then we go back into that pattern again.
00:13:26.389 --> 00:13:38.825
When you know the thing that you say that you should do, that when you don't do it it does affect you, right?
00:13:38.825 --> 00:13:39.686
What is it?
00:13:39.686 --> 00:13:44.158
There's a writer, ryan Holiday has a book.
00:13:44.158 --> 00:13:54.222
He says the obstacle is the way and I'm not sitting here saying, you know, run in and to find all the hard shit and run into it.
00:13:54.222 --> 00:14:03.424
No, sometimes the obstacle might just be that daily commitment, that daily commitment.
00:14:03.424 --> 00:14:16.312
So when you're making these commitments, understand that these daily commitments, the daily doing of the things that you say you're going to do, again, they don't have to be perfect, they just have to be done.
00:14:16.312 --> 00:14:18.797
These daily commitments are like bank deposits.
00:14:18.797 --> 00:14:21.522
It's these deposits that you're putting in.
00:14:21.522 --> 00:14:31.192
A dollar, a commitment here, a commitment there, right?
00:14:31.212 --> 00:14:35.830
We look at the Steve Jobs or the Elon Musks and you hear people talk about how focused they are and how just great they are just knowing what they got to do and doing it.
00:14:35.830 --> 00:14:39.716
That's the less than 0.5%.
00:14:39.716 --> 00:14:42.903
And do you even want that?
00:14:42.903 --> 00:14:43.303
Right?
00:14:43.303 --> 00:14:50.717
We compare ourselves a lot of times to the lives of these people that are doing more than us, but do we even want what they have?
00:14:50.717 --> 00:14:57.758
We might want the result of all the things, but I don't know that we'd want the life.
00:14:57.758 --> 00:15:11.446
So you're comparing yourself to people who are setting a standard of the type of way an individual lives, or who they are, and of somebody that you wouldn't even actually trade spots with.
00:15:11.446 --> 00:15:18.125
Maybe you would try it for a day, but there's a reason that you're where you're at and I'm where I'm at and they're where they are.
00:15:18.125 --> 00:15:28.580
So understand that these daily commitments are the things that are going to get you to achieving these higher things daily.
00:15:28.580 --> 00:15:32.818
So when we're setting these, same for me, right?
00:15:32.818 --> 00:15:34.437
You have a daily and a weekly commitment, right?
00:15:34.437 --> 00:15:39.169
So every week, I want to put a podcast out on Monday, and I could have not done it tonight.
00:15:39.169 --> 00:15:43.562
I could have went in the morning, shot something in the morning, put something out tomorrow, release it on Tuesday.
00:15:43.562 --> 00:15:46.313
I was still gutting it out.
00:15:46.313 --> 00:15:48.019
It probably would have been better than nothing.
00:15:48.019 --> 00:15:55.440
But what kind of resiliency does it build in these little moments?
00:15:55.440 --> 00:16:04.350
I was coaching our team on Friday and gut into this same thing.
00:16:06.916 --> 00:16:08.698
It's been a challenging season.
00:16:08.698 --> 00:16:15.077
There's been a lot of changes, a lot of things, and I'm doing things that I don't want to be doing.
00:16:15.077 --> 00:16:23.438
I'm doing things that I thought I wouldn't have to do again, and there's this part of me that wants to be a victim and sit back and dwell on it.
00:16:23.438 --> 00:16:33.917
There's a part of me that also knows, by doing that that would put me in a different, worse position, definitely in a place I don't want to be in.
00:16:33.917 --> 00:16:40.152
There's the other part of the side of me that's saying just do it, just get it through, get it done, do those things.
00:16:40.152 --> 00:16:53.155
And then there's this little dark energy side of me I think Kobe and Tim Grover talk about it right the Mamba mentality.
00:16:53.176 --> 00:17:25.563
There's this little piece of me that doesn't come out all the time, stays in the shadows, worries about judgment, and not so much judgment, but just judgment of knowing the, the capabilities of what that individual has and and keeps locked up because it's a different version, it's a different mode and you can't you can't overuse that mode.
00:17:25.563 --> 00:17:30.978
Sometimes it's like if you're there all the time, it's too much, you burn to the ground.
00:17:30.978 --> 00:17:35.541
But if you're never there, I don't know that you ever get ahead.
00:17:35.541 --> 00:17:52.701
What I compare this to is that when I was playing hockey and you start the year out and you're fresh, right and you feel good, and as the year goes on, you're getting banged up, you're getting beat up, you got these injuries.
00:17:52.701 --> 00:17:59.282
Then playoffs come and you're playing and practicing, and playing and practicing, and traveling, and you're exhausted and you're tired.
00:18:00.170 --> 00:18:10.378
But there's like that dark energy that meant that mamba mentality starts to creep up Right Just when you're exhausted, just when you've got nothing left.
00:18:10.378 --> 00:18:21.641
There's nothing left in the tank, but there is, there's that little part of you that's like I like the pain, I need the pain.
00:18:21.641 --> 00:18:28.041
I can look at my life and see that I haven't been through this pain in a while.
00:18:28.041 --> 00:18:42.159
And it's not the suffering type of pain, it's the pain that you lean into, the pain that reminds you of who you are, reminds you of what you're capable of.
00:18:42.159 --> 00:18:47.441
So we put that away sometimes because we can't have it out.
00:18:49.413 --> 00:18:54.503
But there are times in life when the only way is through the obstacle.
00:18:54.503 --> 00:19:04.439
The only way is flipping that switch to that version, because that version doesn't lose.
00:19:04.439 --> 00:19:07.397
That version keeps his commitments.
00:19:07.397 --> 00:19:26.323
That version might not get along as well with people Spouses, close friends, employees, sometimes Partners, whatever it is but you also have those people that respect it and know when that version needs to come out.
00:19:26.323 --> 00:19:32.220
That's what these commitments become.
00:19:32.220 --> 00:19:42.490
What they do is they're these deposits, and these deposits will compound and they create this thing called momentum.
00:19:42.490 --> 00:19:47.108
And they create this thing called momentum.
00:19:47.108 --> 00:20:12.309
And now you've got commitments that are compounding and building momentum and it only takes one day of I'll get to it tomorrow to kill all the momentum.
00:20:12.309 --> 00:20:18.701
But it also takes one day of doing that thing that was hard, that you didn't want to do, of 10Xing the momentum.
00:20:21.855 --> 00:20:26.019
And when you can flip your mindset to I want to do this.
00:20:26.019 --> 00:20:27.213
It's hard when there's something.
00:20:27.213 --> 00:20:34.558
It's like getting in the ice bath and you know you get through it and you're like man.
00:20:34.558 --> 00:20:40.201
You always feel better on the other side, like hockey.
00:20:40.201 --> 00:20:55.930
I'm hurt, I got half a broken leg, but I like I would want nothing more to get back on the ice that next shift and just go as hard as you can until you nearly black out, because it's that Jordan Peterson talks about.
00:20:55.930 --> 00:21:02.459
He says you know, the most dangerous guy in the room isn't the guy that you know is crazy.
00:21:02.459 --> 00:21:18.759
The most dangerous guy in the room is the guy that is crazy but can contain it, is an animal but can hide that and be calm and be a safe place and control what's inside.
00:21:18.759 --> 00:21:21.939
But have that mode.
00:21:21.939 --> 00:21:29.598
So if you're going through some shit, take it on the chin.
00:21:29.598 --> 00:21:33.275
Get through it.
00:21:33.275 --> 00:21:34.894
It will make you better.
00:21:35.710 --> 00:21:38.640
And when you're making commitments daily, don't shoot for the fences.
00:21:38.640 --> 00:21:41.637
Get wins right.
00:21:41.637 --> 00:21:43.537
Success swings singles.
00:21:43.537 --> 00:21:48.721
It's about wins over time, not home runs.
00:21:48.721 --> 00:21:53.000
The home runs will come with the reps and the momentum and all these things happen.
00:21:53.000 --> 00:21:59.038
Next thing you know you're hitting the home runs and you're able to focus 100% on the most important things every day and knocking them out.
00:21:59.038 --> 00:22:11.306
But until you get there, you got to build the muscle, the consistency muscle, the commitment muscle, the doing of the thing that you said you were going to do muscle, the showing up for yourself.
00:22:11.306 --> 00:22:16.561
When you do that, you will achieve those things every time.
00:22:19.830 --> 00:22:29.365
Before I leave you tonight, I want to go over the practice that I've been doing a way that you can apply this to your life if it suits you.
00:22:29.365 --> 00:22:34.798
So I call it the three F's.
00:22:34.798 --> 00:22:41.779
Your first three are your focus.
00:22:41.779 --> 00:22:46.238
What are the three things that you're going to focus on tomorrow?
00:22:46.238 --> 00:22:49.351
There's three big movements and guess what?
00:22:49.351 --> 00:23:00.421
Maybe it's just getting to the gym on time, maybe it's making somebody smile, but it's being intentional about those three things that you can achieve.
00:23:00.421 --> 00:23:02.457
But they're going to make you achieve them.
00:23:02.457 --> 00:23:06.375
Then you go over, then it's the three.
00:23:06.375 --> 00:23:11.181
Then the next F is fix the three things you would have fixed today.
00:23:11.181 --> 00:23:13.173
Don't get into the why.
00:23:13.173 --> 00:23:17.575
Don't try to fix it, don't try to solve it, don't spend energy and capacity on it.
00:23:17.575 --> 00:23:19.580
Just the three things.
00:23:19.580 --> 00:23:23.957
And the third is feel.
00:23:23.957 --> 00:23:30.056
What are three things you felt today, Three things you're grateful for.
00:23:30.056 --> 00:23:42.804
So it's the three F's Focus, fix, feel Reckless, ceo out.
