ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Matt Wright is a Virginia Tech Mechanical Engineering alum with an MBA from University of Florida who’s is a Challenger 300/350 Pilot for Flexjet. We got into what his day actually looks like as a Flexjet pilot (spoiler: there is no “typical” day), and how flying everything from US Navy helicopters to the C‑208 Caravan has shaped the way he thinks about engineering principles in the air. Our conversation covered everything: how Matt kept his team motivated, safe, and mission‑ready during demanding moments, the importance of clear communication in the aviation industry, and what his favorite aircraft is to fly!
