ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Hey there, email hustlers! In this delightfully honest episode of Sales Email Summit, your host Liz Wilcox sits down with the one and only Tarzan Kay- email marketing wizard, notorious course collector, and master of consent-based selling. They dig deep into sales emails that actually work (and don't feel icky), tackling the shame spiral of buying all the courses and not launching a unicorn biz…yet. Tarzan spills her go-to email that not only makes sales but helps subscribers reframe their journey. Plus: Canadian pricing drama, bonus stack strategies, and why "so-so" emails are better than none at all. Episode Highlights Sales Email with Soul: Tarzan explains her most lucrative email with the subject line "Are you with too many courses person?" She uses it to tackle buyer's guilt, dismantle shame, and reframe skill-building as a necessary part of entrepreneurship—not just another pitch. Plus, she shows how weaving in empathy can boost sales without manipulation. Reusing Your Best Stuff: Turns out, you don't need to start from scratch every launch. Tarzan walks us through her process for mapping and reusing (aka recycling, millennial-style!) promo emails—what gets kept, what gets tweaked, and how even a "meh" email can beat sending nothing at all.
Special Touches that Convert: Tarzan dishes about the little (but mighty) details that make a difference—like flagging bonuses in email boxes, making PS reminders that POP, and even creating a custom checkout for Canadian buyers. Sometimes a red box and a maple leaf emoji can save a sale. Key Takeaways Building a business (and writing killer sales emails) takes a LOT of skills so don't shame spiral if you've bought more courses than you've finished. Skill-building is legit, and every time you hit "send" (even with a so-so email), you're leveling up and getting closer to those dollar-sign dreams.
