ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Political chaos has erupted in Michigan after Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens stunned her own party by endorsing Republican Mike Rogers over Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, just days before the midterm elections.
Now, Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Curtis Hertel Jr. joined Don to discuss the extraordinary fallout.
Hertel has declared Stevens is no longer part of the Michigan Democratic Party following her controversial endorsement, which sparked outrage among fellow Democrats, resignations within her own staff and praise from President Donald Trump.
Don presses Hertel on the stunning political rupture, Stevens' decision to announce her endorsement at a Black church on Souls to the Polls Sunday, and the consequences for one of the country's closely watched Senate races.
