Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio. We made it to hour two. It's a meat Friday and morale is high. Buffalo chicken dip, beer, brots, hot sausages, corn dogs. We've already had morning corn dogs here, just came off the grill. Fritzie had a corn dogs, cereal and fruit. We could have a corn dog in the morning. Eastern two. Who has it better than we do? No money? Come on in, stay a while, Chris, Matt dog Russo, Will John is coming up a little bit. We'll get phone calls, poll question recapping our one and leading into our two. Seaton O'Connor, you don't have a dog in the fight this weekend. None of your teams are playing. Who what super Bowl matchup are you rooting for? Right now? Bengals forty nine is running away with it. The next closest, which were really isn't even that close as Bengals Eagles. Everybody wants to see the Bengals. M what's up with the Chiefs hate? Maybe because we've seen it before, although we just saw the Bengals last year in the Super Bowl. When I go into my announcer voice, I always envision when I'm done with this, that I could be the movie trailer guy. But those guys are so good at what they do in a world, and it feels like every movie trailer starts the same way in a world. But the guys make good living doing that, being the voiceover guys. And then I've, of course had my debut, my audition at NFL Films that didn't go well because I tried to sound like John Facenda, trying to replace John Facenda when I went there, and that's not good. Hey, let's hear how you sound the Silver and Black Clad Masters of Intumidation. They go, oh, is that how you're gonna read it? I go, yeah, why? And then Harry Cows got the job as the voiceover guy, replacing John Facinda. Yes. The guy who's the most famous for voicing trailers was Don Lafontaine. Yes. He passed away at age sixty eight in two thousand and eight. He started as a radio engineer. He was a guy who recorded this stuff. He had to fill in one time. I'm reading his bio because a guy didn't show up to record commercial bits. He had this naturally deep pipes, great pipes. He started doing it, and then he was given some things for movie trailers, and he came up with in a World because he thought, I need something to start off everyone, because I know what the rest is. It's where where bodies are buried in the blah blah blah. But he needed one thing to start everyone. He said, he in writer's block, and he thought, in a World works for everything. Yes, Todd, there's always some kind of line like She'll find your way home even if you have to kill everyone to get there. Yes, more like that one now. But it was that your voice over my very weak attempt at being stim booking people. Yes, Marv, since you love love do one for like rom coms extually. I don't know if In a World's gonna work, but m gets some background music gonnerneath, but I would have to do something, and I'd always be thinking of Kate Hudson or Sandra Bullock. In a World? How about that? Was this Indigo Girls, or oh it seems like the song in every single rom com trailer. She's like in the rain, crying right now in the New York City street, in a world where she can't find love, but he's right there next door, and she has no idea, but she'll find out love is just a knock away. Kate Hudson Matthew McConaughey. And oh my god, here's another crappy rom comp Don't give up, don't don't give up, don't give up, or a player. It's always like a play on some phrasing. Wolves rush in, yeah yeah, got married toorially again Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey in knock knock, who's there? Failure to launch? That's right, knocked out, who's there? You can write that in ten minute. That's Fritzie's weekend, time to launch. Failure to launch, that's true. Yes, all right, here's pills for that. That's all right. You take enough pills, enough enough medicine. All right. Some of the headlines here, Frank Reich got the uh, got the call. He's the head coach, he first quarterback that the Panthers ever had. I think through the first touchdown pass in history. Not reason enough to give him the job, but he has done great things with quarterbacks, and he will be put to the test trying to find a quarterback there in Carolina Steve Wilkes. Wilkes did a great job. Now he coached Arizona for one year, I believe, then he got fired. They were three and thirteen, and he takes over in Carolina and I think they were one and four at the time, and he takes over and they end up going six and six and they were on the cusp of you know, they were leased in playoff contention. Granted it's a bad division, but the players like him. But this owner, David Tepper, wanted to make a splash. He's kept saying I'm gonna make a splash, or reportedly was going to make a splash with the name. We thought Jim Harbaugh, we thought maybe Sean Payton. Wilkes was there, came in as the interim head coach. I don't know how often an interim coach gets the job gets you know, they take away the interim tag. It probably doesn't happen very often. But if Steve Wilkes wants some company with his misery. Rich Bisaccia with the Raiders should have been the Raiders head coach if you if you look at what he had to clean up, the mess of what was going on with the Raiders with John Gruden and that team rallied around him, that those players loved him, and he'll never get a head coaching job again. Steve Wilkes has a he's part of the lawsuit that Brian Flora's lawsuit. I don't know if this factored in. I don't know if you know, ownership said, hey, you know, we don't we don't want to be in a mess like this. Well, I think you're in a mess like this. And then there's a report that Carolina hired Frank Reich's daughter a couple of weeks ago. Now they hired her before they were hiring him. So I don't know if it just feels like they're these teams are leaving themselves open here and Steve Wilkes didn't get the job. It's Frank Reich taking over there. Not sure what's happening with Sean Payton. There are conflicting reports at Mark Maski, great NFL writer for The Washington Post, pointed out that you know Apparently Sean Payton wants the job, or wanted the job but had problems with the power struggle with one of the members of front office or ownership. Sean Payton tweeted out this morning that is absolutely false. That is not the case. I don't know who's getting this job. It feels like I was told last night Demiko Ryan's, you know, the Niners defensive coordinator, and I have no problem with that. I don't know if Sean wants to coach. I said that last week that he might just look and go there's not a great situation here. I'll go back into TV less stress and I'll wait for that opening here. Also, you have the Cowboys situation. Jerry Jones apparently told Mike McCarthy, you, I want you to coach as long as Tom Landry did, and I went, well, that's he coached for twenty nine years in Dallas, which would make Mike McCarthy eighty five. I appreciate loyalty, but then there are times when you go you're loyal to a fault. And I'm not saying get rid of Mike McCarthy. I wouldn't have hired Mike McCarthy because I'm not letting Mike McCarthy do what you're bringing him in to do, and it stunts your growth. You know, you had to sleep over and you decided you were going to hand it to Mike McCarthy. Well, if you if you let him be an offensive minded coach, they're running the same stuff they did with Tony Romo. You're bringing Mike McCarthy. He can't be Mike McCarthy. And I thought he did a pretty good job this year, and I do think they have talent, but it feels like there's a glass ceiling here and running what ran you ran for Tony Romo. It's not going to work for Dak Prescott there, but you're gonna keep him. Dan Quinn came back as defensive coordinator. I don't know if Kellen Moore is going to get a head coaching job as the offensive coordinator. But that's just some of the moving parts here. You know, Arizona's hired a GM and they might be hiring Brian Flores as their defensive coordinator. They don't have a head coach like it just seems odd, but and who wants the Arizona job? Yes? Don Wouldn't it be great though? If Mike McCarthy was cartooning cowboys to was a minted it. Why don't we try to double reverge here? Because he's old he would have like that kind of voice at that point. What down is it? Huh? Oh boy? Who are we playing? We're playing the Packers. I've got coach. Oh that's trash green pass. I was the corn dog. It was the list. Oh man, my teeth fell out. Hold on a sec. Stay with the bit all right once again Friday, Fritzie got a couple of good guests, fun guests. That was in person. Mike McCarthy, age eighty five. I got it, I got it, got it. Poll question for hour two Seaton is one, should Todd continue to be employed here? Yes? No, well employed, which we're not gonna punched. Its are down. I think we kick it away. It's third and six. What anything else they're taught? I mean, like bordering on dementia humor there which questionable. That's nice. That's fun ageism is what that is. I hope you're happy. Time family cook it. The Bengals are now one point underdogs against the Kansas City Chiefs. This just feels like, who do you think is gonna win. Yeah, just pick who you think is gonna win. The Niners are getting two and a half against the Eagles. Let's see what else do we have from DraftKings? The over under brock Purty touchdown passes one and a half? Who wants a piece of that brock Purty two or more touchdown pass Who are more? Well one and a half. You can't throw one and three quarters? That screams under Seaton, You're you're rock Well, you you you're brock to or so. Yeah, so I gotta I gotta back my guy. Hell yeah, he's getting too plus. Let's see. And then I like how people bring this up. You know, the last time they faced each other, it was Oklahoma winning forty two forty one as a fourteen point favorite against brock Purty in Iiowa State. Brock had six total touchdowns, Hurts had five total touchdowns. I don't think that's going to happen this time around. The odds to score two or more touchdowns this weekend. Who do you think is the favorite two or more touchdowns of all the players in these two games? Todd Travis Kelsey, No, what that's a good guess, Seaton, that's a good guess. A. J. Brown, Noe, Marv Miles Sanders, No, Paulie McCaffrey, yes, Christian vonn McCaffrey, then Kelsey Jamar Chase, Jalen Hurts, Jalen Hurt, but that you know what they say that the odds for him are he must be running or catching. It's not passing for Jalen Hurts with two touchdowns. There, I see if there's anything else in here. Odds to win the Super Bowl, the Eagles are the favorites, followed by the Chiefs, and then the Bengals and then the Niners. It feels like like now that's the afterthought, the all the Niners Eagles game. Can't wait for Bengals Chiefs. But they both feel like they're going to be really close games. And you might have a better game with the Niners and the Eagles given the balance of those two, you know, offense and defensive lines. There and a lot of storylines here. Yeah, Paulie, I had the biggest point spreads in NFC, in AFC title game history. Okay, the biggest two in the past thirty years are both by the Saint Louis Rams and Kurt Warner. Oh one or two d The Saint Louis Rams were a ten and a half point favorite versus Philly and they won. They didn't cover. And then a couple of years earlier, the Rams were a fourteen and a half point favorite, the biggest in NFC title game history, over Tampa and they won eleven six they didn't cover. The biggest upset via the point spread in NFC title game history recently, it was the New York Giants. They were plus, they were getting to eight and they beat Green Bay in overtime. The Corey Webster interception of Brett Farve that was seven or eight. And then Atlanta ninety eight ninety nine they were getting ten and a half to Minnesota. That's the one with the field goal. Miss Minnesota, sorry too soon. They won thirty twenty seven. AFC biggest point spread all time, by the way, Cincinnati last year was getting seven and they beat the Kansas City Chiefs. The biggest points pread I could find is the New England Patriots in seven h eight were favored by fourteen over San Diego and they did not cover, but they won. Was that in San Diego? Was that when Ladanian Tomlinson had a problem with the Patriots in New England. But yeah, you're right about the storyline. Oh it was okay, the biggest upset in recent history of the past thirty years, the Tom Brady Patriots in New England versus Pittsburgh. That's a first year for Brady at the Helm. They were getting ten points and they won twenty four seventeen versus Pittsburgh. Let's take a break. We have some Super Bowl trivia. If you're an NBA All Star, which team would you want to play on? Team Lebron, Team Jannis. I wish it would have been Durant and Lebron making the picks. That would have been more fun. Yeah, because it feels like there's a little bit more sarcasm, a little more snark there. Jannis is a nice guy. He's just a nice guy, Yannis. I'm gonna be an honor to have you on my team. Durant would be like, wow, this guy's tread. Yeah. Durant would be like, I don't want James Harden. You kidding me. Chris mad Dog Russo you can hear him on Sirius XM channel eighty two, and also you can see him on High Heat MLB Network mad Dog Unleashed every weekday at three Eastern and starting this day, Oh, super Bowl Trivia is back, Chris, this drives you crazy? Why you keep punishing yourself. It's a good damn always a pleasure to how much I love you. Yeah, it does, because they never get these dopey questions right, and none of that. You got to give them an audio as a number four. I mean, after all, you give it them two great tickets to the super Bowl four nights in l and the super Bowl City. You got to make them work for it, and they never get the audio. I remember, we do our own audio, so it's not like you can look up on a UPA UPI or an eightp sound bite and sort of matched the voice. It's our audio. We do the interviews to make it a little trickier. So yes, damn, I add the extra hour all week, which means I got to babble of four o'clock at seven o'clock and stead at six o'clock, and I got to go into the city to do it. I can't do it at home because you can't have five million questions on top of me when I'm trying to do it from my third floor upstairs and the third floor, and I'm gonna be sitting there Friday at six forty trying to give away the last trip. So I have a blutal week next week in store, give us a sense of the questions that you're you're gonna ask her you've already asked. Yeah, No, I'm gonna you know what I'm gonna do, Danny, I'm gonna give you the questions you're you're a great sports guy, so I am gonna give you ABCD. Are you ready? Yea, all right, here we go. Dan from Wait wait, wait, Dan from La Dan from New Milford, what do you want me to say? You from? Go ahead? Ohio? All right? Dan from Ohio? Welcome, Hey, Hey, thanks, thanks, first time, long time. Hey, there you go, here you go, Damn, here's your chance. Are you a m bek? You a Niner? Are you a Niner? Bengal fan? Who's your favorite team? Bengals growing up? Bengal's grown up? All right? Hey? Question one? Who was the last running back to be named Super Bowl MVP? Last running back to be named Super Bowl mvpit I've asked it already. Should be easy, Um, I guess I would say Roll Davis comes to Morrow. Yes, stop there, okay, stop there, stop there, okay. I always I always missed the easy ones. Well that's a good one. And by the way, Todd Fritz and o Fellas. If he gets the second one right, get the NFL theme music around, because you always play the NFL music when you get halfway. Okay, Christian two, name that. This is a good one. Name the first anthem, Ohio. Name the first super Bowl where both starting quarterbacks played college football in the SEC. First super Bowl both starting qbs played college football in the SEC. It's a tough one. I'll give you a clue. It was not the same SEC school different you know both. I'll give you another clue. Hall of Famous because initially I thought, uh, name it at Alabama? You had quarterbacks Kentucky. That's a good question. Yeah it is. So the first super Bowl where both the quarterbacks played college football in the SEC. You're leaning in a right direction with your first guests. Super Bowl. I won't tell you what super Bowl number it was, but you know the game, you know the players. Uh, and it's one you're gonna say, Yeah, you're right, I should have gotten that. How about fran Tarkington? That's correct. Who's the other one? Uh? Snakes stay blurs, yes, yes, Fire up the music, Fire up. This is Super Bowl eleven Stable Alabama. Tarkington at Georgia. We number talking to him in the late fifties. Stabler, you succeeded. Name it as our buddy. Danny just said, all right, now get them news that Todd. Let's go, let's go. Here we go, all right, I get a trip to Arizona Artemy. Okay, number three, you get a little harder now, Dan, as we move along. Okay, number three, name the first quarterback to have two career Super Bowl rushing touchdowns. First QB to have to have to have two career Super Bowl rushing touchdowns. So that obviously means it's a quarterback who played in multiple Super Bowls. Feels like Brady Brady always had the quarterback sneaks. Um uh the anthem Ohio is a good contestant. You got the second one is tricky. First one isn't easy. Haven't asked it that much. And here he is, he's halfway home. The first quarterback to have two careers Super Bowl rushing touchdowns, Dan from Ohio. That is who's not Jim McMahon. Dan smart, He did a little homework. He's not calling on a cell phone driving around Cincinnati. No, you can see my hands are up. You can see that I'm I have no help, don't you don't You don't hear him pressing you, But you have members who do that, like, yeah, drives me crazy. Yes, it drives the Marquis crazy when they are pressing their computer buttons and they make me ask the question for the nine million time. You are doing it at the top of your head. That's what a good football trivia person does. First quarterback Daniel two Super Bowl rushing touchdowns? You know, uh Joe Montana? Yes, yes, wow, that is pretty damn good. I gave you nothing. I gave you nothing. I didn't get a hint on that one. I got you didn't. I kept thinking, you know, uh Elway or McMahon, and what made you guess that one? Montana? I thought it was the Bengals, it was against the Bengals, and I didn't Yeah, I didn't know if we had just talked about that game with the Bengals in Montana. All right, So now this is the audio one I don't have. Do we have the audio? Do we have an audio? And I don't know if he's got the audios ready, Todd, somebody's gotta tell me if he's got an audio ready for you. I never thought damn would get the number before. No, we don't. We don't have an Okay, so that is the sample size of what you do. Now Here is the key for the audio without giving ain't too much away. You got to look for a theme, so the audience has to think, Okay, what is this jerk gonna come up with this year? With the theme? The game is in Glendale. You don't know who the participants in into Monday, so I can't play along there. The number was a super Bowl fifty seven, Dan, I think it's fifty seven, is it not? Yeah, yea, So maybe you come up with the number fifty seven so I know what the theme is. I'm not going to tell you because then it gives it away and then I won't be able to last if I need content. But you get the idea, and then you got to come up with the guys to discuss the super Bowl and then to have them figure out who it might be. But the fact that you got three is a tremendous job. Make them tougher next year, man, Dog, Okay, Well, the first one, no, No, it's okay. The second one, Dan, Dan, the second one is hard. The second one was very hard. But I kept thinking, okay, who played? You know, it was Tarkington and at first I went, wait Ole miss No, he went to Georgia okay, and then it was Stabler Okay, Alabama Okay. That's that was the first SEC matchup that I could think of with the two quarterbacks. So what made you think it's Terrell Davis? That's you know, that's a long time ago. I was there at the game. Yeah, I was. I was there. You know what. You know, you know what's funny about that first one. I wouldn't have guessed that because that's twenty five years ago. Now, yeah, one you have thought that there would have been a running back in the last quarter of a century that won the MVP. Yeah yeah, well James White should have won it. When the Patriots beat the Falcons, they give it to Brady there. Yeah yeah, uh yeah. Sirius XM dot Com Slash twenty twenty three Mad Dog Trivia for official Rules with Mad Dogs Show. We're talking to Chris mad Dog Russo just got into the Hall of Fame. I've listened the last couple of days, and it feels like you can't stay away from Scott Roland. That topic of going into the Hall of Fame. And this is this feels like I agree with you on this. This feels like the baseball writers are going this, get used to this. This is what we're going to factor in on the new Hall of Fame candidate. If Scott Rowland just went by the normal stats we had growing up, he's not a Hall of Famer. But these you know, war and vorp and all of this other stuff, Scott Rowland's almost He's going to be the poster child. We're going to look back and say that's when it started. And I agree with you, Jeff Cancel Hall of Famer, But if you don't want to put him in, then you can't put Scott Rolland in. So we're on the same page with this. Wow, look at that. Yeah, the consistency angle is what bothers me. I mean, I don't know how you separate Roland and can only gets forty six percent of the vote on his team and year. Furthermore, doesn't it bother you, Danny that in his first year and eighteen, Roland only had ten percent of the vote. Yeah, how do you go from ten percent to end in four years? I don't understand. Has that happened? To anybody like, what's the lowest, the lowest ever, lowest ever? And what happens is the writer and one writer told me, hey, you know what, we just didn't vote for Roland that first go round because we knew he wasn't going to get in. I go, well, do you think he's a Hall of Famer? Well, you didn't the first year, but now you do. Like what happened? You just ran out of good candidates this year? I did Derek Jeter? Did Derek Jeter have ten percent of the vote his first year of eligibility? How about Marianna? Did Marianna have ten percent of the vote? Did they say, you know what, we got too many guys in the ballot, so let's make we won't vote for Marianna this year. Ten percent? I can see if Roland had forty fifty percent. All right, he made a job. That's been done. But Chris, let me ask you this. What if I said, you can either look at all the stats or you can't look at any stats, and you decide who's going into the Hall of Fame. So right now you can't factor in anything with Billy Wagner other than I'm gonna go Billy Wagner Hall of Famer. Well, I would say no because I would go eye test and I'm gonna remember the bad games in the postseason, Okay, Todd Hilton, Well, I'm gonna I'm gonna be anti corps Field because we all know that was a huge advantage, you know, Gallaraga and although daint on tape of Chet, Why isn't it still an advantage? Chris, I'm sorry, we don't hear about corps Field being an advantage the way it was when you had, you know, those those great Rocky teams, and you know, without looking at the stats, doesn't it bother you a little bit that Helton hits two eighty seven lifetime outside of coors Field and he's got one hundred and forty homers. Yeah, I mean Hernandez hit two ninety six and he's got one hundred and fifty homes. Put him in a Hall of Fame. So I have a plot with Hilton too, and he's gonna make it. Look at his vot he's gonna get in. Yeah, he's gonna get in. But you know what I and we brought this up. Scott Rowland wasn't a star, and he just a plug and play very good Reds and Cardinals and you know whatever. You know, Dale Murphy was a star. Don Mattingley star, but they didn't have the numbers. But if you said, hey, Don Mattingley's going in because of contributions to the game or the star power what he did, you know he missed probably two more years than he's going to be a Hall of Famer. Dale Murphy hits four hundred home runs, we might look at him differently than three ninety eight, as crazy as that's gonna sound. So we don't have star power. Now, how many how many players would would your kids go, Dad, I gotta go watch him play? Aaron Judge, Joe Yep. Not many, but you shout shout. I don't know. I don't think Trout brings people out, you know, I think so. No, he's a great player, he's I understand what you're saying, he's a But here's basically what you're saying is, did Scott Rowland ever sell a ticket? I am they did. My child, who's a good baseball fan, did he say, hey, Dad, Rowland's in town. Can we go to a meccame at yank at City Field to see Scott rolland playing and the answer is absolutely not. I know what the problem with the Hall of Fame, Dan is, It's become the Hall of famer the very good. It's not when you and I grew up. It's not the hall of fame of the great and of the immortal. You know, Bryce Harper personality. Bryce Harper has star power there. Yes he does. And maybe that's not fair, but I've maintained for a while now, if you have the Hall of Fame and you think of it as penthouse, third floor, second floor, first floor, then I don't think we're as offended. If Scott Rowland is in the first floor and Babe and all the other legends are at the penthouse, and then maybe on the third floor. You have certain guys second floor. So you got in your first floor when you go to you know, Cooperstown, Scott Roland's over here, and you know whatever other guys. You know, Bruce Suter's over here. It's not the same. You're in the building, but it's not the same. That does that take away a little bit of the well, he's no Babe Ruth, or he's no Hank Aaron, Because I think that's what bothers us like. They're going to be included in that Hall of Fame class, and they're there are guys who shouldn't be. Yeah, you and I are on the exact same page. You and I are on the exact same page. Roland's a very, very good player. And I like this statistic that I used this week. How many balls do you think we're hit the Roland? They they bring up the defense in the Seven Gold Gloves. How many balls during the course of a week, let's say, played six games that he gets that he makes a play on that no other third basement in the sport makes a plan. If you're gonna tell me three, that's a lot, because lots of times he doesn't get a ball hit till the whole game. So if you're going to tell me in six games, every other game he makes a play at third base that not another third baseman in the world can make a play on. Let's say i'd be fair to you and I'll give you three. How many at bats does he have during the week six games? Somewhere between twenty four and twenty eight at bats, So he's got twenty four to twenty six at bats, say, and he gets three balls hit to you, would you rather have the guy that can make that maybe the three plays ground balls, or would you rather have the who's better there, or would you rather have the guy who's the better offensive player, who's got twenty three more chances to get up to the plate to get a big hit. I'd rather have the offense myself. Would you would you rather have the offense in well, in today's game? Absolutely? And that's where Kent lines in. All Right, we understand he's not as good as run of Defensively, he's got more homers, he's got more RBIs, he's got more runs scored, he's got ten points better batting average anyone in the MVP, Yeah, which Roland never did. Yeah, and a tougher ballpark to hit into. Very good point. I was just gonna bring that up. And in that boy, good job Dan in that ballpark with La and San Diego and those Oh God, drove me nuts. I gotta I'll tell you right now. It's funny. The writers think they are changing the way here, but the only people that are annoying are the old guys. My twenty year old doesn't care if Scott rowlands in the Hall of Fame. The fifty year old does I know, Yeah, I don't know. If it's just a big good deal. Yeah, they you know, the twenty year old doesn't care if Bonds gets in or it doesn't care. Yeah, it's not going to bother them. But like Manny, and it bothered me that Chilling didn't get in because whether you like it, I don't. You know, I don't like Jeff Kent's personality, but that's not factoring into this. I love Dale Murphy's personality. That doesn't factor into this. All I know is certain guy you just go. Kurt Schilling was a Hall of Famer. Absolutely was eleven and two in a postseason. I'll tell somebody else that I've done a lot on that I think is a Hall of Famer that you may have heard me say it that I am shot he's not in. How is Steve Garvey? Now, we brought it up. We did thirty minutes on him two days ago. He had eleven All Star peer I think he's got the most All Star He would be Robert Redford not winning an Academy Award. It's like, you know that guy over the course of his he might have been just too good looking. Chris Well, I'll tell us something else. You know, he played in fifty five postseason games, fifty five. He had two hundred and twenty at bats. You know what, His batting average was three thirty eight with eleven homers. Yeah, now, hold on that. Here's a guy that won an MVP. He had two hundred hits. He played in what fourteen hundred games before he broke his finger that year the broke and I'm gonna slide of the plate. He was a great postseason hitter. He was on iconic teams. He played for twelve thirteen years in a row. And this guy's not a lot of fame. I mean, and he played in a big market. You know, you would think that playing in LA, that that would be reason. You know what, how about we work on this together. You know, with Steve Garby project, we're gonna get him in. You know, I tell you right now. He comes on with me all the time because he knows I go out there and comes out. That's important. Good luck with the trivia. And who are you like in a game this weekend? By the way, Well, I just think the Bengals are. They're a really good team. Like it's solid team. It's not Joe Burrow Um that's a really good team. And to be back here knocking on the doorstep. I like them, I'd like them. I like the road teams. I like the Niners. I just it feels like that's the old by the way, other game. Nobody talks about that game. Everybody talking about Mahomes versus Burrow, and that might be a better game, Niners versus the Eagles. As far as you're not, you're not worried about Purty on the road? I am, I am, But this is where I rely on Kyle Shanahan. He's got to coach him up. All you just do is play average. Dak Prescott played below average and that's why they lost. If he plays average, they win that game. I agree with you, But if you and I are on the same page, who would have thought? Who would have thought? You know when I spend fifteen minutes together and we're thinking along the same yesterday, God, what happened in my career? What's going on here? I'm that's a good point. You better double check where you're going. If you're agreeing with me, Dan and the Dog, Yeah, that'll be great. You don't need my friend, Sessah, I got you, Yes, yes, you got all kinds of friends. Stephen A. Smith. You don't need anybody. You got enough. Boy's Player, You're the bank you Chris, good to talk to you. I'll be listening. Thank you, buddy, Chris. Mad Dog Russo uh Sirius XM dot Slash twenty twenty three, Mad Dog Trivia. All right, Fran Tarkington, Nice Paul. I was a Vikings fan. I love the Vikings. They were obviously the underdogs. Sports trivia is fun, but when you're the sports guy, when we play trivial pursuit, then it's always like oh okay, Dan, you answered that. Well, when you screw up one of them, they'll be like how long is the Belmont? And then you're like a mile on a huh? And then if you miss them, like oh, you're the sports guy. When I get geography right or entertainment right, they never credit me. It's like, oh, okay, yeah, that's try. But don't miss the sports questions. Yes, I was watching Sports Jeopardy last night. It was a celebrity Jeopardy and the actors on there were Patton Oswalt, Michael Sarah from Super Bad and other things. And what's his first name? Brendan Hunt, the assistant coach on Ted Lasso. Yeah, I don't know the coach's name. Okay, Coach Beard. Coach Beard. He was crushing the sports category. He went on like eight in a row on sports knowledge and really took the lead. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Yes, mort, Is there any topic that you guys know that people will be like, did you have a life going up as a kid? Well, I didn't have a life growing up as a kid. I used to sit and read the Sports Almanac. I would study starting lineups of teams. You know. But if you gave me questions from that era, then you know I'm usually pretty good at that. Yeah. Mark, my cousin listens to the show and he's like, how the hell did you know that Tyrone Hill was an All Star? I told you you knew I didn't have a life. No, well, because I also said to Marrow, I go, where did Tyrone t Time Hill go to college? He goes Xavier. I go, all right, you called it x Xavier by the way, and I had to I had to spank you there verbally being from Cincinnati. It's not Xxavier. It's Xavier. But you got Tyrone Hill. It's an all star. My cousins just he's so disappointed. He's like, I'm in pressed and disappointed all at the same time. A couple of phone calls in here JJ and Florida. Hi, JJ, what's on your mind today? It's an honor as always DP. I've been home, it's sick with bront titis all week, and you guys have kept me sane. Um. I have a question of comment and an I team report in that order. My question is on your play of the day. Is it Kevin Collaborro that does the runner left side? Got it? Or who is that? I don't know that I can. I can. Nobody's ever asked me that, JJ, but I can. I can inquire. It's driving me crazy. I can't figure that out. I think it's Collaborate. Will find out for me. We'll get my comment. Okay, the three of the four quarterbacks have definitely established going into this weekend that they have what we and my tribe called bates them. I guess in English the best translation would be testicular fortitude. We'll find out if the young man from San Francisco party's got some this weekend. I'm thinking the Eagles because number three sons a huge Eagles fan and my I team report in my careful examination of your feed in song the song about the whales, that's got to be a Todd Fritz composition, Sir, I'm just sure what the rhymes and that the whale song, it's gotta be fritzy. Hey, you guys have a great thank you j J thank you man A deep dive there though. That's our theme song that the whales. Is that what he's talking about? I think the TV's open is I think the song it's called song of the Whales. Whales? Yeah, okay, yes, I checked the Jewish English Lexicon dictionary and bates him is another word like for saying someone's got balls. Oh like billy bates him. Yeah, that guy has the bates him to get it done. This m Fritzie knew did you know he did not know that? Actually b BA I T sim or b E y T s I am never heard of bates him. M all right, what we learned? Candidate right there? Final hour coming up, Nick Wright. We might have fireworks with Nick Wright coming up. Something happened and I called Nick on it. This could be an uncomfortable conversation. Chris mad Dog Russo is going to supply some Super Bowl trivia coming up the New York Radio Legend Hall of Famer. It's going to stop by. Mike Florio is going to stop by a little bit later on as well, and Nick Wright from Fox Sports. First things First, a little bit later on as well. We'll take a break. Then we'll bring in Hall of Famer Chris mad Dog Russo Dale. Let's see right now, we got Bengals forty nine is still leading. We're just thrown up there.
