On my way in from the hinter lands western Massachusetts every morning, I get on the pike and I get kind of zen, like I start thinking about the sh show. What we're gonna do. We're taking everything in around me is the pickup trucks are flying past me at ninety eight miles per hour, the daily affirmations, all that I do that, Yeah, get myself charged for the day, and I noticed on my way in this morning the sky looked really cool. It's getting lighter earlier, yes, and it took on this really cool color. As soon as I'm thinking that thing, phone goes off and Danielle, I can't imagine since a photo of the sky from the beach. You actually pulled over, Yeah, and took a photo.
00:01:33
Speaker 4: This is Danielle pulling over to take sun rice photo season.
00:01:36
Speaker 3: Oh boy, here we go. That is kind of good, though, oh thanks, that's bad. My point being I immediately respond to it spectacular and I wait for Tyler to say something literally looking at it, I know, see it. Yeah, I almost Because you don't get before the show.
00:01:51
Speaker 6: No, I don't go Stuart smally like you do. I don't go like I am good, I am great. People love me like I just go. I get to get to work.
00:01:58
Speaker 4: You find joy in life?
00:01:59
Speaker 6: I love, but I don't joy in the morning. It's about like I'm task driven in the morning. Do you look around at all? I did notice yesterday, by the way, that because I thought I was running late, I was like, wait, why is it light out over it?
00:02:11
Speaker 4: So that kind of made a significant jump.
00:02:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I noticed the sky looks beautiful coming in. I was like, that's I also don't get a.
00:02:16
Speaker 6: Great view of it because I'm driving by a freaking casino, So like, you know, what, do I get the reflection off the gold casino? You're actually not quite the same?
00:02:24
Speaker 4: Nice?
00:02:25
Speaker 3: Is the casino lit up twenty four hours a day? The signage?
00:02:29
Speaker 4: I think?
00:02:29
Speaker 3: So I always look over there. I always check out the casino when I'm coming over the bridge kind of glistening. Yeah, no, it's it's nice.
00:02:37
Speaker 4: Look when I go home today.
00:02:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, there we go. Dude, I don't relax until the show starts. You relaxed before this show? I knew it.
00:02:45
Speaker 4: What part of you? I'm sorry? When do you relax before?
00:02:48
Speaker 3: Right now?
00:02:48
Speaker 4: I'm relaxed.
00:02:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, I actually this is relaxation mode because the show started. We're ready for it.
00:02:54
Speaker 6: We've prepared, we have our stuff together, report's ready to go. Like now I'm just like now I take a deep breath.
00:02:59
Speaker 3: And go, okay, what's up? There is no way to relax. That sphincter is like Sep to twelve right now? Well, I do get a back one. I like to be thinks that the sports report's ready to go. We're done, Yeah, exactly, it's important. Yeah, we can't talk to him when you're working on your award winning sports report before we go on the air. Look, it's great for a reason. Okay, we all right, it's coming up because so much great stuff happened at sports last night. I tried to watch the saws.
00:03:24
Speaker 6: I tried nothing but bad news, losses, suspensions of death.
00:03:29
Speaker 4: I got all kinds of great store go. This show has everything. That's what's when I need him. And also one hundred bucks to the Sylvan Street Grill. It's seven ten for the Classic Rock Challenge. And then at eight ten are we doing Journey tickets today?
00:03:42
Speaker 6: Yes, eight ten for the rest of the week, Journey TD Garden in November.
00:03:46
Speaker 3: Cool, Yeah, right, I can do it. Hang on, I thought he was ready for the show. Yeah, my throat is, but everything was ready my throat. All right, everybody clear everything out. We're getting started here at ZLX.
00:04:05
Speaker 1: It's the download with Danielle on Boston's Classic Rock.
00:04:08
Speaker 3: You one one hundred and twenty seven WCLX.
00:04:12
Speaker 4: Well yesterday and pebde. The wake was held for fallen mass State Police Trooper Kevin Traynor, who was killed last week in a wrong way crash on Route one in Lynnfield. Trainer was thirty years old. He'd been with the state police since graduating from the Academy in twenty twenty three, after starting his career as a corrections officer in Essex County. Hundreds of law enforcement members gathered yesterday for the wake. Mourners have been leaving flowers and notes at the Danvers Barracks where he worked. His funeral will be eleven am today in Salem, So if you're gonna be around the downtown Salem that just know that whole area is going to be cluster after There's going to be road closures, all that stuff, So just be mindful of that if you have to go through that area.
00:04:50
Speaker 3: I sawt the cops coming in down the pike yesterday. Yes, you're coming in from all over.
00:04:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, everywhere.
00:04:56
Speaker 3: Huge.
00:04:57
Speaker 4: Trainer is survived by his mom fiance, and says fiance wrote online that he has gone but never forgotten. A newly built ram connecting the mass Pike to four ninety five opened overnight on Monday, changing how drivers access the interchange in Central Masks.
00:05:11
Speaker 3: Oh my god, good, good finally what a cluster that yeah, has been Oh my god, it's rare that.
00:05:19
Speaker 4: I have to drive there and and take and be on that interchange. But it's like every time, I'm like, when the are they going to finish that?
00:05:26
Speaker 3: It's one of the busiest interchanges in the state, and it took forever for them to do.
00:05:30
Speaker 4: This, long, long time. So into the new setup, drivers on the pike westbound heading to four ninety five southbound will now take the first exit if you're heading northbound to use a second exit further ahead instead of like the crossover of death.
00:05:43
Speaker 3: This is going exactly like.
00:05:46
Speaker 4: We'll see how this goes, masked out said The old layout caused backups and higher crash rates for more than one hundred thousand vehicles that pass through the average area on an average day. Full improvement project expected to be finished by September excuse me, summer of twenty twenty eight. Officials morning drivers to expect some delays as they adjust some just some, just a couple. Yeah, and hey, if you're a fan of the DQ in Middleborough, fear not. It's sticking around, staying in the family. Longtime owner George Beanini sold the business to his two nieces for four point two million dollars.
00:06:17
Speaker 3: Over four million bucks for Dairy Queen.
00:06:21
Speaker 4: That location is one of the highest grossing treat only Dairy Queen franchises in the country.
00:06:27
Speaker 3: Is Burger No, no brazier, No brazier throughout brazier because as a kid, I always saw that on the sign. Mom, what's a brazier? I don't have marketing when it works right there? Yeah, what is brazier? Is that just grill food? Yeah? The brazier is the grill?
00:06:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the grill.
00:06:45
Speaker 3: Who says brazier Country Queen.
00:06:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's It's the most visited Dairy Queen in Massachusetts, also by annual foot traffic folks. First open in nineteen fifty two, it's been connected to the Pannini family since the nineteen sixties. The new owners say they're going to protect the traditions that made the shop a local favorite.
00:07:03
Speaker 3: He didn't give the nieces a deal on that.
00:07:05
Speaker 4: Four point two probably was a deal for the store that grosses that much.
00:07:09
Speaker 3: Where do these kids come up with four point two million? Yeah?
00:07:11
Speaker 4: Really they're not, like they're probably not fifteen.
00:07:13
Speaker 3: I mean, you know again, do you have four point two million cash.
00:07:18
Speaker 4: They led money your finance things.
00:07:21
Speaker 3: You know, it's a lot though it's a lot. It's a lot of twisties a lot.
00:07:25
Speaker 4: It's a lot. But you know what, we'll no.
00:07:27
Speaker 3: For business, not these days. The house goes for one point five.
00:07:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like four point two for that location where it's so busy. That's that's like a that probably was the family deal. I'll give you a break.
00:07:37
Speaker 3: On this costa Napkins went up since the war and.
00:07:40
Speaker 4: Everything to everything. They're stuck on a ship. We can't even get lids. Forty sixty reads in Boston right now, so I have sixty four on the way today next week. Look at all those little red and orange lines.
00:07:52
Speaker 3: In the tea. It's beautiful Tuesday.
00:07:55
Speaker 4: Now it's saying eighty nine. That's all.
00:07:57
Speaker 3: It's too hot, that's all. Come. I don't want to hear. I don't want to hear the first time I hear, and I'm gonna throw.
00:08:02
Speaker 4: Get the window unit.
00:08:03
Speaker 3: Then, oh stop it, get Central Air.
00:08:06
Speaker 4: Okay, you're really alienating part of the audience. I'm Danielle. That's your download seconds of.
00:08:12
Speaker 2: Sports with Tyler all right.
00:08:13
Speaker 6: Socks opened up a three game series with Philly last night at the Friendly Confines. Giovanni Moran got the start and quickly gave up a bomb to Kyle Schwarber, the second hitter of the game that put Philly up one nothing. Schwarber, by the way, tied a Philly's record by homering for the fifth consecutive game. Glad we could help model with that. God Moran only lasted that first inning. Brian Bayo came in after that and immediately gave up another run on two hits, put Philly up to nothing. But his only run he gave up. He actually pitched really well. He settled in, went six and a third, only gave up four hits.
00:08:41
Speaker 3: Why didn't he start? Though? I don't know the story behind the beginning of the game. I saw that.
00:08:48
Speaker 6: I went and I looked because they hadn't named the starter for the longest time, and I went on before the game, I went online and I was like, oh, let me see who's starting. I'm like, oh, this reliever, okay, great, And then I go I turned the game on like the third inning, and Bo's out there. I'm like, what he so? I don't know what happened. They took him out after one inning. But anyway, we'll find out the problem though, the real problem is no offense.
00:09:07
Speaker 3: Again.
00:09:07
Speaker 6: They put zero's up everywhere except one, right, Socks Batters could only must throw up one run on seven hits. They've now lost three of their last four, and they're keeping the basement warm. In the Al East, Game two of the series tonight at six forty five picks with Sonny Gray on the hill, I was talking about Charlie McAvoy.
00:09:23
Speaker 3: The suspension is in. He met with the NHL yesterday.
00:09:26
Speaker 6: He got a six game suspension without pay for his slash on Buffalo Zach Benson in the waning minutes of Game six at the Garden, which by the way, was a retaliation slash for Benson slew for a takedown of McAvoy, which I've seen players get suspended for just for doing that.
00:09:41
Speaker 3: He's getting away with this. Scott three all.
00:09:43
Speaker 6: Right, and explaining the decision, the NHL's Department of Player Safety called McAvoy's actions quote an intentional and forceful strike delivered to an opponent's body, specifically for the purpose of retribution.
00:09:54
Speaker 3: Damn right, it was Wow. Those are strong words, strong words retribution.
00:09:59
Speaker 6: McAvoy has the option to appeal the suspension within forty eight hours, and if they don't reduce the band, he can further appealed to a neutral arbitrator the last this is the latest suspension.
00:10:08
Speaker 3: This is his third one. I didn't know that that's the third time. He's a repeat offender. Hence the six games spikes on bikes.
00:10:15
Speaker 6: There's no more bad news. Sad news out of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clark has died at the age of twenty nine. LAPD sources confirmed to ABC News that Clark was found dead from a possible drug overdose Monday in a home located in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Narcotics were found at the scene, there was no evidence of foul play. The Grizzlies said in the statement that they are heartbroken by the tragic loss. Brandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization in the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten.
00:10:46
Speaker 3: That's sad math. Forcing the arrest of a drug possession before an intent to distribute.
00:10:52
Speaker 6: This is not his first go around nine years old, twenty nine, I smell a fentanyl situation.
00:10:59
Speaker 3: First thing.
00:11:00
Speaker 6: I thought, well, we'll we'll have more details as soon as they come out. But that was the first thing I thought of. Twenty nine drugs gotta be found. I'm gonna end in a happy note. Oh this is for all the Ted Lasso fans out there.
00:11:10
Speaker 3: Yes, all right. Cristo Fernandez, who played Denny Rojas on the show, No no, no, no, no, no no no no.
00:11:16
Speaker 6: Ross, that's it, has actually become a professional football player. I love that, signing for USL Championship side El Paso Locomotive. Fernanda had said, Fouteball has also been a huge part of my life. Has always been a huge part of my life and identity, and no matter where life has taken me, the dream of competing professionally ever truly left my heart. Like his character on Ted Lasso, he's got that great lettuce.
00:11:39
Speaker 3: He's also a forward. Yeah, he does have a main all right? Is he actually that good? Or is suggest trying to fill some seats now?
00:11:45
Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know they for because I looked into this is one of the rabbit holes I dove down when I started watching Ted Lost Lasso, Like, how many of these guys could play soccer beforehand, blah blah.
00:11:55
Speaker 3: But and like it.
00:11:56
Speaker 4: It was like this whole thing about how he trained and everything like that. It's pretty interesting.
00:11:59
Speaker 2: How old is he?
00:12:01
Speaker 3: Don't know?
00:12:01
Speaker 6: Hold on, you gotta look that up. I'm wondering, like started his soccer career. Maybe El Paso was struggling, you think, and maybe the locomotive is a nice source of revenue for the city and you.
00:12:11
Speaker 3: Have sixteen year olds playing professional soccer. Yeah, thirty five, Is this a gimmick you take? You're done? Yes, I got a gimmick for you. I love when he has to talk about soccer. Please find more celebrity soccer across as long as it's not exact. If I can do it with a TV character, that's cool. I gotta clear. We actually have another soccer story coming up that has a Providence connection. Yes, we do.
00:12:42
Speaker 6: This one's World Cup related. We'll get to that soon. That's sports. I'm Tyler's The Chuck Nolan Morning Show. Don't forget rewind every morning at five o'clock and Saturday morning seven to ten Here on z l X.
00:12:52
Speaker 3: It's the Chuck Nolan Morning Show. Throw your voice into the mix. Color text your message to eight seven seven six Boston's classic rock one w ZLX. All right, as we enjoy this Tom Patty song, I have homework assignment for you guys. For everybody, think about how many monthly subscriptions that you carry.
00:13:14
Speaker 4: I can't if.
00:13:16
Speaker 3: You stop and you think about how much you're spending per month on subscriptions. The average American has five point two subscriptions and spends sixty nine bucks a month on it. That sounds low to me.
00:13:25
Speaker 4: That's that's what Teler spends for one AI models.
00:13:35
Speaker 3: I get discused. I'm in the media. All right, let's think about our subscriptions. It's coming up with ZLX. It's the Chuck Nolan Morning Show with Daniel Murr and Tyler. We're just thinking about our monthly subscriptions that we have. There's a story about subscription fatigue. America is the land of nickel and diming people to death, legit to death. And I just took a moment here to write down my subscriptions. I didn't realize and I'm sure I'm not getting them all here, but how many that I have? I was saying. From a British study it says the average American has five point two subscriptions. It spent sixty nine bucks a month. That's so much nothing.
00:14:14
Speaker 6: I just quickly typed up seven off the top of my head. Yeah, and I'm sure I'm missing like ten more.
00:14:18
Speaker 3: Another Chicago based firm, CNR Research says the average bill per person is over two hundred dollars a month easily. Like I was thinking, I got YouTube TV. That's like ninety bucks a month. Isn't it just keeps going up. It's never go down. They're always throwing another five, ten to fifteen bucks on that. Yeah, and you have no choice. I've got that. I've got the Boston Globe. I've got HBO, Max, Netflix Prime Video, Apple TV, Apple News, the always wonderful ness in three sixty apps so I can watch the Red Sox. It works so well. I got a Peloton monthly subscription for that. It used to be like forty bucks. What is It's like forty five bucks? It went up? Yeah, okay, still gilt Tyler. No, I got rid of my Peloton. I sold it to my Buddy membership, to BJ's, to Giant by Giant rolls of toilet paper. There, Chewy pet food? Does that does that count?
00:15:13
Speaker 4: I don't? I mean it's you're subscribing and saving, but it's not the I don't think that counts as a description because that's a consumable.
00:15:22
Speaker 3: How about you, I bet you have the Prestige car wash subscription.
00:15:26
Speaker 4: No, because you know how I feel about the people with the prestige stickers. But I do have thank you for reminding me, because I did forget about that. I do have a car wash subscription to the mobile in my town. Yeah, that's thirty bucks a month, but I go once a week, I make sure, maybe sometimes twice. So I just zip through there and I use it all the time. I love it. It's like one of my favorite new purchases.
00:15:46
Speaker 3: Else we'll look at the notes.
00:15:48
Speaker 4: So several stuff I had to because I'm not going to remember it. There's so much, so several of these are included with my I have my annual MX Platinum membership for my card, which cost me seven hundred dollars, which is now nine hundred dollars because they just updated that. But that's all the travel stuff that I use.
00:16:06
Speaker 3: That's a good point, though. Credit cards charge you for the pleasure of using a credit card.
00:16:10
Speaker 4: Correct, So with that I get reimbursed for my Walmart Plus subscription, my Hulu part of my YouTube premium, and Uber one so that's kind of you know, covered under that, but I'm still paying for them that I have a monthly massage subscription.
00:16:29
Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Yeah, Tyler, tell us about yours. Yeah, it is yours in the area.
00:16:34
Speaker 4: No very, I'm not going to plot Socket.
00:16:38
Speaker 3: At home.
00:16:40
Speaker 4: And vto Elements, which is like a creator platform with you know, photos, video things like that. Metaplus for the Instagram and the Facebook.
00:16:49
Speaker 3: What's the total we're up to so far?
00:16:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't even know iCloud. It's what a racket iCloud is to go from two terror bytes to six terrabytes, ten to thirty bucks. We can't have anything in the at.
00:17:00
Speaker 3: All, no photos like crazy.
00:17:02
Speaker 4: I can't have too much content Meta Horizon, which is for my oculus because then you get the game because I use my Oculus all the time. I'm conducting in my living room.
00:17:11
Speaker 3: If you lost, she's wearing a bathroom conducting an orchestra in the living room.
00:17:15
Speaker 4: Seen it?
00:17:16
Speaker 3: You should wear it. You can work with celebrities. Yeah, there is an oculus crisis in this country.
00:17:22
Speaker 4: That's fair playing mini golf on it.
00:17:24
Speaker 3: I love it.
00:17:25
Speaker 4: I'm sure there's more. I rotate through the TV apps, so every once in a while I'll text my ex and be like, hey, can you give me the I'm traveling code for your HBO Max Hulu is consistent just because a MX pace for it. Sometimes I'll bounce between Netflix, Apple TV, and uh. I had brit Box for six months because I got it for like twenty four bucks.
00:17:48
Speaker 3: What is left at the end of the month, not much. That is a lot.
00:17:52
Speaker 4: It's a lot. I'm sure there are more.
00:17:54
Speaker 3: And when you sit down and you think about it.
00:17:56
Speaker 6: Yeah, I've you realize how much you spending for a month on this stuff.
00:18:01
Speaker 3: I'll play you.
00:18:01
Speaker 6: Yeah, a lot of TV stuff, YouTube, TV, HBO, Max, Hulu, Paramount plus plus Stupidness and app Netflix Prime Video. I too have out iCloud plus Apple car Care. I'm sorry Apple Care, Oudy car Care. You I forgot about Apple Cares.
00:18:19
Speaker 3: You get the simonizing and the undercoding. F you don't count to dog food right? No? What about subscribe and save stuff on Amazon?
00:18:26
Speaker 2: No?
00:18:26
Speaker 4: Because those are consumable. It's like those are products that you're buying. You're not paid, Like if you were paying for that subc I consider Prime to be a subscription, but I don't consider Prime Benefits to be a subscription.
00:18:36
Speaker 3: Yep, all right, that's all I can think about the top of my head.
00:18:38
Speaker 4: I'm sure there's more than I don't want blink blink for my wireless security cameras. And then I have a hard wired system too, but.
00:18:45
Speaker 3: That's that has a hard drive. All adds up, and Americans are sick of it.
00:18:49
Speaker 4: And the friggin I'm a remote starter package for my car that's fifteen a month.
00:18:54
Speaker 3: And every now and then you'll get a notice that it's going up five bucks, ten bucks, fifteen bucks a month YouTube just in that. Yeah, you just take it.
00:19:02
Speaker 4: The only benefit I have is that I'm technically an enrolled student at a s U for taking courses toward a second bachelor's so I get student discounts, which is great.
00:19:12
Speaker 3: You're getting a degree online.
00:19:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, Planetarian Earth Science. That's the only university that offers that one online.
00:19:20
Speaker 3: Just we have to call you doctor at some point. Yes, does an h O A count Yes?
00:19:25
Speaker 4: I think may probably.
00:19:26
Speaker 3: Because that just keeps going up every year.
00:19:28
Speaker 4: Yeah, well for what they don't even shovel.
00:19:30
Speaker 3: No, and they fired my concierge. That's great.
00:19:32
Speaker 4: You loved that guy too, Yeah, he was great.
00:19:34
Speaker 3: He was great.
00:19:35
Speaker 6: That's a whole By the way, that's what I was doing last night, communicating with people that live in my building about what a show that's communicating yelling, yelling as a pool close no place for president.
00:19:47
Speaker 3: What's going to come with subscriptions on the way, if you're going to buy a new car, features could be a subscription, like with car seats stuff like that, just to have seats, heated cars, you know, options like do you like seats, sir? Yeah, I'd like to sit on and drive if that's okay.
00:20:05
Speaker 4: I mean cost wise, that seems so prohibitive to me to install the technology to have a heated seat and then turn it on. Like what that seems that's that's for They're.
00:20:14
Speaker 3: Counting on people to trade that car in after the lease and they'll subscribe it to somebody else. Oh my god, it's sort of income once you're in. Absolutely, like my magic car if I want to have it self driving is a monthly charge.
00:20:27
Speaker 4: Oh really, Now the guy's gotta.
00:20:30
Speaker 3: Come up with police money every week no matter what. Now it's a scam. Just Nickel and Diamond to death business.
00:20:40
Speaker 2: You pay me.
00:20:42
Speaker 4: I guess if the dog food doesn't count, then my auto reload for Duncan doesn't count either.
00:20:45
Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's technically a daily subscription, isn't it. I don't.
00:20:49
Speaker 6: I don't use that anymore, but I I do still have auto reload for Duncan and Starbucks.
00:20:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, I have that too.
00:20:55
Speaker 6: I never buy him any more. So I have so much money in my star Wars. How do I get it back?
00:20:59
Speaker 4: You just transferred to man. I'll use it.
00:21:02
Speaker 3: Oh you had a fire? You pay me? You know it's free though, the free iHeartRadio app. All right, take a listen to the show and definitely leave us at talkback. Just hit the talkbag button.
00:21:13
Speaker 1: They're definitely not your T shirt, so feel free to talk back. Go to the iHeartRadio app now and leave it talk back, and be sure to make w CLX your number one.
00:21:22
Speaker 3: Pre said too Chuck Llan Morning Show on Boston's Classic Rock w CLX. One month from today, the Scots are coming. Oh my god, that is so shrill that waken. Sure. Month from today, Scotland versus Haiti at Boston Stadium with the first of the World Cup Games and Scott's are famously frugal. They figured out how to save some money by bypassing Boston and going to Rhode Island. Of course, why not. I love how they're going to get to the games too. It's a great story, scary actually the Scotts. It's coming up from z X. It's the Chuck Nolan Morning Show with Daniel Murr and Tyler. One month from today, it all starts Stone in Foxborough. The madness, and the first game is on a Saturday too, which is going to make it even crazy and more and more as we get closer to these World Cup games at Boston Stadium in Foxboro. I decided during that song, I'm not saying that every you have to say it. I think it's a law. At this point, FIFA has taken over. It's Zorba. We're gonna get sued now headquarters here in New England.
00:22:51
Speaker 4: They can't display it, we can say.
00:22:53
Speaker 3: Experts are saying this is going to be like a Patriots game times a thousand, completely out of control because so many people go to be showing up who do not have tickets, but they just want to be there, They just want to hang be a part of it.
00:23:04
Speaker 4: And especially now that they figured out the misstep on the tailgating and miscommunication exactly.
00:23:09
Speaker 3: I misremembered case in point first game Scotland versus Haiti. Scottish soccer fans are nuts. My daughter's over at the University of Edinburgh. She's saying, the entire nation is insane.
00:23:20
Speaker 4: Have you told them when you have to go to her graduation yet?
00:23:22
Speaker 3: You already mentioned it right around labor dare I'm gonna be going back over there. Awesome, she gets her degree. You know, it's going to be huge, a lot of tears, one year degree, master's degree.
00:23:33
Speaker 4: No, the cheers are going to be from Chuck when he realizes he's definitely getting stuck paying for the PhD.
00:23:37
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's going to be next. Oh you haven't gotten that news yet. Well it's unofficial. It's unofficial, but I don't want to talk about that right now. I'm talking about Boston Stadium.
00:23:46
Speaker 4: Kind of advocate for your your pain is.
00:23:48
Speaker 3: Way more fun. So people find out that she's from here, and everybody, of course is asking her for tickets like she has a connection together.
00:23:57
Speaker 4: It's like when Taylor Swift comes and people are yes.
00:24:01
Speaker 3: There are thousands of Scots coming our way, and they call themselves the Tartan Army, and they know how to party and have a good time, yes they do, but they also know how to save a buck. Boston very expensive for Europeans coming over here for World Cups, so they figured out cheaper way to go is Providence, Rhode Island. They are taking over Providence. They have swallowed up all the Airbnbs, all the hotels, everything's all. It's all the Scots. And they figured out a way to get there much cheaper than I guess. The train's been sold out for a while and there are buses that are running, but it's expensive. So Tartan Army member Gregor Cowan said, lo and behold. It turns out there have been thousands of Scotland fans who had also booked to stay in Providence, but they're not sure how to get to the stadium. So we started looking into transportation. It came up with yellow school buses. This is I mean, it's genius and scary all at the same time. You can ruin this kid's bus. Oh god. Yes, they've booked more than twenty buses room for eleven hundred fans to get there. It's gonna cost forty seven dollars a seat instead of one hundred bucks. He says, it's literally double what other people are paying.
00:25:16
Speaker 6: Yeah, when you see those yellow school buses swerving down the road, yes, you'll know who they are.
00:25:22
Speaker 3: I love this, he says. It's driving them right. Drivers, You need a CD drivers, he says, size wise. I don't know what they're like inside. Maybe a few Scotts struggling to keep their knees out of somebody else. But it'll be absolutely fine. Quote, we have plenty of beer. I don't think we'll even realize that we're on school buses. Wow. Wow, of Scott's drunk driving all over ninety five. They're not going to be driving, but they're just going to be slashing around on the back. And there's no bathrooms on school buses, and they're gonna encounter traffic like they've never seen before in Scotland, and they're gonna have to beee really bad.
00:25:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, the male urinal things they have at the pharmacy with a handle on.
00:26:02
Speaker 3: Them, that's a good thought. Maybe make an investment in something again, make some money.
00:26:06
Speaker 4: Maybe get some branded ones Boston Stadium on there. You can sell them on the side of the road is a side hustle, right.
00:26:12
Speaker 3: Chuck Nolan Morning Show co branding. I mean, listen, there's no such thing as bathroom listening.
00:26:16
Speaker 4: We have yet now mail urinals. I mean, talk about targeting our demo.
00:26:20
Speaker 3: Somebody's face has to go on that though it's not going to be mine.
00:26:22
Speaker 4: Come on, we are looking at me for well, you're the one that was Pmchest yesterday. So fits.
00:26:34
Speaker 3: That's a guy demanding that they stop at the Snoko to hit the bathroom.
00:26:37
Speaker 4: You can never take our pedum.
00:26:40
Speaker 3: Why are you giving me a key? But think about it. These guys are going to be partying these so hard so long, and they're going to get on these buses and get stuck in traffic and they're gonna be kilted and they're gonna be going commando. So they're just going to be destroying these bus seats and then come Monday. The fourth grader from our Lady of the Angels Middle School.
00:27:00
Speaker 2: Is that.
00:27:04
Speaker 6: If I see one of my old schools on the side of that bus or whatever, I feel like you better be nice to that bus.
00:27:12
Speaker 3: Just burn it, just get rid of like they did in the in the town. You can burn the car in Charlestown, do.
00:27:21
Speaker 4: We have a bus graveyard like with the playing graveyard out West.
00:27:25
Speaker 3: Fans plan to depart hours before kickoff, giving themselves time to tailgate and soak in the pregame atmosphere something. So they gotta get off these buses. They're gonna start bugging everybody. It's tailgating, walking around, bagpipes going, the air in there, the black pudding, the beer, just the circulating air within that. School bus windows that only open from the top.
00:27:47
Speaker 6: I'm gonna say, the school buses will have those really weird windows that they brought with them and they ate it two hours before and it's just percolating.
00:27:56
Speaker 3: Of course, they had the full English breakfast before they get on the bush. It all starts a month from Tinner. I mean, this is leon from Barbara Barr and Edinburgh. Every day I wake up and.
00:28:08
Speaker 1: Listen to the Chuck Noland Morning Show on Boston's Classic Rock one hundred point seven WZLX on.
00:28:14
Speaker 6: The down out on the free.
00:28:17
Speaker 3: iHeart radio app. It's not all about the bagpipes all day, every day. And here sometimes you'd like to listen to proper chins, you know what I mean.
00:28:24
Speaker 1: From the WZLX catches law dot Com Studios. It's the download with Danielle on Boston's classic rock onewy seven.
00:28:33
Speaker 3: WCLX.
00:28:37
Speaker 4: Oh, we have some news German updates about the man Tyler Brown, who committed the shooting ar Memorial Drive in Cambridge the other day. He's got a lengthy criminal past, which we've talked about a few times in discussing this story. But court documents reveal that his parole officer called Boston police nearly an hour before the shooting because Brown reportedly told him over the phone he had relapsed on cocaine and was quote ready to end his life ahead of a scheduled drug test. He said, I'm not going back to prison FaceTime call. That same morning, he allegedly waived a semi automatic rifle a his parole officer and said these people are gonna pay.
00:29:13
Speaker 3: Okay, waving the gun around making thread time. Yeah. Were they looking for him, yes.
00:29:19
Speaker 4: So police pinged his phone. They tried to trace him to Cambridgeport, but he had already by the time they got there. He already made his way over to Memorial Drive and started shooting at the people sitting in their cars. So those those two individuals were left with life threatening injuries. He had been released from McLean Hospital like three days before him. Wow, so this guy has a very very long history. And then everybody, of course was questioning the judge that when he shot at police officers in the South End in twenty twenty, prosecutors were looking for ten to twelve years for that, and the judge gave him five to six. And then when the judge was questioned, she was just like, I don't even remember the guy.
00:29:53
Speaker 3: I remember, so my god, I remember. Yeah.
00:29:56
Speaker 4: Well, I mean they see so many cases.
00:29:57
Speaker 3: How do you get that out there? I had a gun like that.
00:30:01
Speaker 4: On the streets, baby, on the streets. IF funeral will be held today in Salem for mass State Police Trooper Kevin Traynor, who was killed last week in a wrong way crash on Route one in Lynnfield. Trainer was thirty years old. He'd been with the State Police since graduating from the academy in twenty twenty three, started his career as a corrections officer in Essex County. Yesterday, they had the wake and peebit. Hundreds of law enforcement members gathered along the streets for his wake. Mourners had been leaving flowers at the Danvers State Police barracks where he worked. Just to head up. Heads up today. Funeral is in downtown Salem at eleven o'clock this morning, So if you have to get through that area, I would try to probably avoid it because it's gonna be quite heavy with traffic, probably road closures, things like that, So just be aware. Never mind road closures. We have road openings the new four to ninety five Mass Pike.
00:30:47
Speaker 3: Rats sweet finally, Yes, that that fresh new opening smell so smooth.
00:30:54
Speaker 4: It's called asphalt.
00:30:55
Speaker 3: Chuck ah. Do you like the smell of fresh assphalt? I do too? What is that? Yes?
00:31:01
Speaker 4: Changes how drivers access the interchange in Central Mass or in the new setup. If you're on the pike westbound and heading to four ninety five southbound, you take the first exit. If you're heading northbound on four ninety five, you take the second exit further ahead instead.
00:31:14
Speaker 3: Of the place instead of the same exit. And then once you go up the ramp and you have to split off and cross over. Mad was a nightmare.
00:31:22
Speaker 4: That was so crazy, especially if you were behind somebody from way out of state. Yes, not like Rhode Island or New York. That maybe drives up here occasionally, just Nebraska.
00:31:31
Speaker 3: I can't. And you're coming off a downhill straight away too, you know, going sixty five miles per hour. Of course the lodroom interestate twenty five chuck. Yeah, oh, that's where I'm at speed limit on the ramp. But now people have to figure this out, which is going to take a while.
00:31:46
Speaker 4: Yes, so, and by the time that happens, they'll be ready to do more construction and change it all over again. So that's fun for everybody. Meadowborough residents, fear not, your Belovedairy Queen is not going anywhere. It is staying in the family after long time time owner George Panini sold the business to his two nieces for four point two million dollars, you might say herself, well four point two million for a DQ howevers, Yeah, brokers say that location is one of the highest grossing treat only dairy Queen franchises in the country. So it doesn't have the burgers. It's just got you know, the ice cream and whatnot. No brazier, no brazier, no brazier, burger, no brazier, nothing for you. You'll get no brazier and like it and it's the most visited dairy queen in Massachusetts by annual foot traffic.
00:32:26
Speaker 3: God, I so it's so. It's one of the dairy queens that stay open year round.
00:32:35
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:32:35
Speaker 3: Some of them close for the winter, which I never understood.
00:32:38
Speaker 4: I mean, not one ice cream in the winter. Yes, I drink ice coffee all year round. Why wouldn't want ice cream?
00:32:43
Speaker 3: I wonder how many blizzards they do in a year.
00:32:45
Speaker 4: Let's see if I can find out that stat because I would be interested to see that myself. How many blizzards I could do?
00:32:52
Speaker 3: I could do one a day all summer easily, Yeah, big blizzard.
00:32:55
Speaker 4: What's your go to mix and of choice?
00:32:58
Speaker 3: Like oreo? Okay, big Oreo? Going the racist peanut butter cup? That's good. Yeah, I'm gonna let it melt a little first though. That's how I feel after I eat it. Yeah, but you're so selt now, so as are you?
00:33:10
Speaker 4: Thank you? Which?
00:33:13
Speaker 3: No? After last week?
00:33:16
Speaker 6: No, my god, No matter what happens, you will always have the nineteen fifties wrestler body.
00:33:23
Speaker 3: I will, Yes, I am. I am. The famous video black and white video of the guy taking a cannonball. That's me get the round.
00:33:33
Speaker 6: By the way, I could stop because over the break I watched the Hulk Hogan documentary.
00:33:37
Speaker 3: Clad all that.
00:33:40
Speaker 6: I just was thinking about you, the one yeah, the one strap.
00:33:44
Speaker 3: With the black blue Why do you put me with Gorilla Monsoon? Now one of the cool ones? Well, you said, nineteen fifties wrestlers that are brutal. You know what, it's like, you have the body of them when they were in their prime, and it's gonna let go. Is what's gonna happen. It's just gonna be really bad when you have that unit. Like Bruno Sam Martino in his prime. The shorts were always pulled up over the navel always, so it's just like shorts chest Yeah it went, yeah, no billy button, it just went.
00:34:16
Speaker 4: Is that like.
00:34:20
Speaker 3: After last week, I'm more like professor.
00:34:28
Speaker 4: God all right? Finally, uh, a Mallard duck that was causing concerns for residents Salem has been captured. It was I'd seen these posts popping up all over the places. Poor duck at a crossbow bolt right, somebody shot him right through the bill. So people kept posting about it. Now like does anybody know who we can call or how can we help this thing? So you get the call because I was out of town and I would have referred this to new House anyway. So the fine folks up at new House Wildlife Rescue and Chelmsford we're able to capture the duck, you know, in the water, doing all the crazy things they do to get you to the animals.
00:35:05
Speaker 3: The arrow was stuck in there right across. Could it still open its bill? Could it eat? Yes?
00:35:12
Speaker 4: But it looked they were able to get it out successfully. It looks like it just had superficial damage. Thankfully. They were kind of surprised that the damage was not worse, But I mean, what are we doing? So he's he's expected to make a full recovery and he will be released back into the same pond where he was found.
00:35:29
Speaker 3: They give him a cool name like Daffy yourself.
00:35:32
Speaker 4: His name is Force, of course. Okay, he's hanging out with Nibby. Forty eight degrees right now in Boston. We'll see a high of sixty four in the way. It's gonna be cloudy, but should be pleasant to get rain showers coming up the next couple of days. So get out there and do those things you need to do before the water comes out of the sky. I'm Danielle, get you.
00:35:47
Speaker 3: Down, locket seven seconds of.
00:35:50
Speaker 2: Sports with Tyler.
00:35:52
Speaker 5: All right.
00:35:52
Speaker 6: We started a three game series with the Philadelphia Phillies last night at Fenway and.
00:35:55
Speaker 3: Let that go went awesome, not great.
00:35:57
Speaker 6: Bob Gravanni Moran got the star quickly gave up a huge home run to Kyle Schwarber, the second hitter of the game. Mind you, that put Philly of one nothing real quick. Schwarber ties a Philly record, by the way, by homering in his fifth consecutive game. That six home runs in five games, so he kept the street. He wanted to make sure the Boston fans were enjoying it too, So I attempted to watch this game. I gave up when Jaron Durant got up there and struck out for the second time. It's batting averages nine, yeah, one nine. Well, Daniel talked about this off the air. I don't know why you did, but you did, h and you just brought it up. It's there's this rumor going around that they're gonna offload him and Brian Bayo from Mike Trout.
00:36:39
Speaker 3: Mike Trout, how much gas is left in that tank? I don't know. He's playing well, I need something to put out. That was a hot tak put out there by somebody else in the radio community. But it also.
00:36:51
Speaker 4: It is an antact guy.
00:36:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it was before that. He walks around with his own wet wipes perk up his arm.
00:37:02
Speaker 6: I heard this rumor before that. All right, so I don't know if this is gonna happen. We'll find out getting the hot takes on your phone.
00:37:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's so connected, is I'm texting? Brian Bayo came in after that.
00:37:17
Speaker 6: He gave up another run, but pitched really well, actually went six and a third, only give up four hits. The problem was no offense, man, and we scored one run. That's not gonna do it.
00:37:24
Speaker 2: Uh.
00:37:25
Speaker 6: They lose. They now have lost three of their last four games, and they sit firmly in the basement of the angst.
00:37:32
Speaker 3: Alex Corr is laughing so hard he's wedding himself. He is just chilling in Puerto Rico right now and the sun smoking stove.
00:37:38
Speaker 6: He's doing whatever, getting paid, getting paid millions of dollars to watch his team lose Game two of the series tonight at six forty five. Sonny grand Hill, all right, the suspension is in for Charlie McAvoy six games no pay for his slash on Buffalo Zach Benson in Game six at the Garden, which was a retaliation slash for Benson's slew foot tape down, which many people have been suspended for in the past. So Benson's getting away with Scott free on the scot no problems, but we're getting a six game suspension Maci boys. Also, this is his third suspension, so he's a repeat offender. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. It's got a target on he'll appeal it, I'm sure. But the whole thing's a bunch of bs. I mean that the foot takedown was ridiculous.
00:38:20
Speaker 3: He was just they're not going to keep it six games. Maybe a game.
00:38:24
Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe they'll cut it in half. I wouldn't be mad if they cut it in half. You think only one yeah, after time, so one that's a big difference, though maybe that's ridiculous. Well, if he when he appeals it and they don't do anything, they could go to an arbitrate or after So we'll see where it goes.
00:38:40
Speaker 3: Lawyer's getting so rich.
00:38:43
Speaker 6: Some sad news out of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clark passed away at the age of twenty nine. LAPD sources confirmed to ABC News that he was found dead from a possible drug overdose at a home in the La area. Narcotics were found at the scene, but there's no evidence of foul play. First thing I thought it was, this has gotta be a fentanyl overdue.
00:39:02
Speaker 3: That's what I thought too. I mean, just a guy speculator, but he had a fifty two million dollar contract that he's going his way.
00:39:08
Speaker 6: Former first round pick, Yeah, got, he got, He's he got. He was a first first round pick in twenty nineteen by the Thunder and got traded two weeks later to the Grizzlies, and that's where he's played his entire seven year career. Unfortunately, now he's gone. Let's end on a on a happy note with some ted Lasso news. So this is this art imitating life for life imitating art. Christo Fernandez, who played Danny Rojas on the show, is going to become an actual professional football player at the age of thirty five. Okay, He's gonna play for the championship side El Paso Locomotive. He said, I don't think he had to say say it again. You have to say locomotive, locomotives. He loves when I talk about soccer anyway. Yeah, Ted Lasog guy gotta actually be a professional soccer Player's cool. He's gonna play the same position as his character.
00:39:57
Speaker 3: On the show. He's gonna be forward. M It's like a publicity stunt though it's it's like putting Pulos put in for the Red Sox wearing his orange shorts, putting me in right field, right field. You know, at this point they could I actually have a pretty good arm I could get I could get the ball back to the plate. But in sports related news, I want you to take a look at this photograph I see of Bruno San Martino, and look at the distance between the waistline and the pets. It's about three and a half inches. Yeah, truck's right about that.
00:40:28
Speaker 6: Guy's got pens and and he can make them bumps up and down. I bet like Chuck Canton.
00:40:32
Speaker 3: That's right.
00:40:33
Speaker 6: Yeah, say something, tap your Mike's we can get this on video. There you go, there it is. Look at that.
00:40:40
Speaker 4: I can't see it because the lighting in here is chair.
00:40:42
Speaker 3: Oh, come on, all right, I could do that with my right I'm sorry. All right, that's sports. I'm Tyler.
00:40:48
Speaker 6: It's the Chuck Noll in the Morning Show Rewind every morning at five am and Saturdays from seven to ten on ZLX.
00:40:53
Speaker 3: All right, let's get serious. There's one hundred bucks right here, one hundred bucks to Silvan Street, Grill and peebting at Salisbury Classic Rock Challenge. Such time jump on that phone at eight seven seven six one seven, one hundred point seven. What kind of a challenge we do in this time around mistake double take challenge? Because Tyler requested it yesterday at the end of the show and I just wanted to just insists on busting my balls. Yes, don't do movies. He's doing movies. We're doing movie the Classic Rock Challenge, not the classic movie. It's the Classic Rock Movie Challenge. What does this have to do with music class? It's the whole thing is classic rock. Class is to brand the show or on the music we play. And dumb dumb is picking a movie quotes. It just entertains me so to watch him, to watch the night tonight, we gotta get together, have cigars and cocktails, and we gotta we gotta work this whole thing. I just think he struggles with the movie. He says he loves movies, but you think he struggles with the trivia, and I think it's really what it is.
00:41:48
Speaker 4: Tell you gotta stop letting him know what bothers you. That's the problem, because.
00:41:51
Speaker 3: I want a one note challenge ready to go at all times when he does this. All right, we're off to the movies up next. Eight seven seven six one seven hundred point seven.
00:42:03
Speaker 5: I can't understand the rock child, and I should get the name of it.
00:42:15
Speaker 3: Seven no w z l X. Okay. See, it's a classic rock challenge, but there's no rock in it this time around, because it's movies. Classic movies are classic rock. It's a whole is that movie you're living in the problem is your fish and you're living in the water and you don't see the water around you, but me looking down at you like the Truman Show, I see it. Can you say all that again? So Dan Hill can hear? Because she just walked in the door. She did just agree with me. It's nothing that she wouldn't agree with. He said, classic movies, classic rock.
00:42:45
Speaker 4: It's not the same thing, Michael, I love it.
00:42:47
Speaker 3: It's the whole universe, not the same thing.
00:42:49
Speaker 4: The same things.
00:42:50
Speaker 3: Are you telling me The Wizard of Oz is classic rock? No, it's a classic movie. But loving movies and classic movies is the same as loving age seven seven six one seven, one hundred point seven fish in the water that you can't see. We've got one hundred dollars to Sylvan Street, grill in Peabody and Salisbury. You just have to know your motion pictures. Valerie in Wakefield, good morning, I'm going home.
00:43:14
Speaker 4: Good morning.
00:43:16
Speaker 3: What's the last movie you saw? Oh?
00:43:19
Speaker 4: God, was last movie I saw?
00:43:21
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:43:22
Speaker 4: Oh, I can't even name it.
00:43:23
Speaker 5: I have three kids, so it's pretty.
00:43:25
Speaker 4: Hard kid movie.
00:43:27
Speaker 3: Then I don't know.
00:43:30
Speaker 4: Maybe that's last one.
00:43:32
Speaker 3: All right, Well let's see if that's it. Is that the classic rock movie we're talking about Right now, we're gonna play the double take challenge. Not do minions. You're gonna hear an actor or actress from two different motion pictures. Say actor now right, Danielle.
00:43:48
Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, which is kind of funny because you wouldn't think it would be the case.
00:43:52
Speaker 3: But you're gonna hear an act hoor okay, two different movies. Tell us who is this actor? And give us the name of one of the movies, one of the two movies. I think it's I think it's pretty easy. I think you'll be able to get this here. All right, here we go. Let's listen in on our double tape challenge.
00:44:10
Speaker 1: Braves, the Gotham City in Me, you just have a bad history with free extress like clowns.
00:44:16
Speaker 3: How you give it about his coke and Xbox? Now you're trying to play it off like you care about shine.
00:44:20
Speaker 4: Come on, I want to go to my logical process and do always have to do a shot in the dark type thing.

What do we have going on today?
00:46:52
Speaker 4: I don't know if this individual wants me to use her name or not, so I'm going to err on the side of caution and do it anonymously. But this is a oor family crisis situation over whether or not the kids are invited to something, which is always troublesome with weddings other big events things like that. Are the kids coming or are we not? Like do we get a plus three? I don't know, So the email says, I want to know if I'm the a hole for not wanting to see my husband's family. My husband and I are in the thick of it. With little kids. Right now, we have three, an almost four year old and a six month old. We also recently moved an hour away from my family, so going out without the kids is really difficult. Finding a sitter is not easy, especially for last minute plans. Always struggle for parents terrible. Then the sitter canceled on you do you want how much an hour?
00:47:36
Speaker 2: What?
00:47:37
Speaker 4: Twenty five dollars cash?
00:47:38
Speaker 2: What?
00:47:38
Speaker 3: Are you crazy? That's my mom. You're supposed to do it for free?
00:47:41
Speaker 4: What's the going rate? Is it twenty five bucks an hour?
00:47:44
Speaker 3: An hour?
00:47:45
Speaker 4: Really?
00:47:45
Speaker 2: You think?
00:47:45
Speaker 5: So?
00:47:45
Speaker 3: Left thirty? It was like that when my kids babies.
00:47:49
Speaker 4: Okay, interesting. So a few weeks ago, one of my husband's family members invited us to dinner to celebrate his future daughter in law's birthday. Dinner was on a Sunday. We got the invite on Friday. Has been asked if our kids were included or if it was just the two of us. They said just for adults only. We couldn't find a sitter, so we planned on declining, but then he said, between you and me, I want to be sensitive to my future daughter in law's feelings here. She really wants children, but isn't planning to have them until my son can financially support her, and being around kids is hard. That's when I get upset. I completely understand choosing to have an adult's only dinner, but excluding kids specifically because of someone's feelings about them didn't sit right with me. I get that she wants kids, but her situation is based on her own choices. Now my husband thinks I'm overreacting and doesn't want me to damage his relationship with his family over this by saying something I told him. I'd love to see it from his point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my own ass. Now they're inviting us over saying they miss the kids. But honestly, it's not the first time something like this has happened, and I just don't want to be around people who exclude my children to spare the feelings of a grown adult. It's am I the ahole.
00:48:57
Speaker 6: I find that strain mucky, very mucky, very mucky. Yeah, a lot to unpack there.
00:49:02
Speaker 4: Like, I get if you don't want the kids because maybe they act up and it's an adult's only event, But she makes a great point.
00:49:08
Speaker 3: Kids got the sugar rush going the whole thing. They're running around rolling potatoes down the aisles.
00:49:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not like they're like she can't have you know, they've tried or she you know, she suffered pregnancy loss with things like that. She's just choosing not to have kids until the sun can let her be a stay at home mom. That's ridiculous. That's such a weird take.
00:49:27
Speaker 3: That's such a weird take.
00:49:29
Speaker 4: Like I could see if it's like, hey, you know, if she just went through something, then it's like all right, like I get it, but this, I'm not gonna have hard for me to be around children right now.
00:49:39
Speaker 3: That's like so boogie.
00:49:41
Speaker 4: It's ridiculous.
00:49:42
Speaker 3: That doesn't make any sense.
00:49:43
Speaker 4: It's insane.
00:49:44
Speaker 3: How can you not be around children? They're everywhere you go, everywhere.
00:49:48
Speaker 4: Sometimes they're in business class.
00:49:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, and if you go into a restaurant, there's going to be other children there.
00:49:53
Speaker 4: Whose kid is this? I like when they come up to the table and they're like, Hi, Hi, you've lost you want to know.
00:50:00
Speaker 3: Curtain they're in the booth behind you.
00:50:04
Speaker 4: I hate it.
00:50:04
Speaker 3: Oh sticky, Yeah.
00:50:06
Speaker 4: Is that a potatoes?
00:50:07
Speaker 5: Sure?
00:50:07
Speaker 4: Thank you. I'm just gonna I'll save that for later. It's in my hair.
00:50:10
Speaker 3: Hey kid, give me a wine list. I just find that whole thing very strange.
00:50:14
Speaker 4: I do too.
00:50:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's odd. Yeah, gotta I gotta let this one marinate for a minute.
00:50:20
Speaker 4: Well, Tyler's gotta come up with whatever the other alternate backstory is, because we know there's something that their highness.
00:50:25
Speaker 3: Is not right.
00:50:26
Speaker 6: There's something the fairy is going on. Too easy, This is too easy. There's something going on in the background we don't know about.
00:50:32
Speaker 3: I'm gonna dig. I'm gonna thank he's gonna dig around while he's doing that. Think about it. Get a hold of us. What do you think? Eight seven seven six one seven, one hundred point seven collar text leave us a talk back on the free iHeartRadio app. Now back to am I the A Hole.

00:51:08
Speaker 4: Was that they have a three year old, almost four year old and a six month old. Oh so it's almost four Irish.
00:51:14
Speaker 3: Twins plus little kids. Yeah, dinner is planned with the husband's family for a future daughter in law. Hey, welcome to the family.
00:51:23
Speaker 4: Hey so happy you're joining us.
00:51:25
Speaker 3: I used to have you.
00:51:27
Speaker 4: Are we happy?
00:51:29
Speaker 3: Unfortunately, they can't get a sitter take care of the kids, so they're not going to be coming.
00:51:33
Speaker 4: That's one of the only things that you know, I always wanted to have kids. It never happened. I made peace with it. But having the built in Ah, I'm sorry, Chloe's sick. I can't make it out tonight.
00:51:44
Speaker 3: You use that so often, absolutely as much as well I do. Anyway.
00:51:50
Speaker 4: Yeah, why wouldn't you that guy?
00:51:52
Speaker 3: It's built in.
00:51:53
Speaker 6: You can only have so many deaths in the family. Yeah, you grandmother can only do again.
00:51:57
Speaker 3: Oh, Haley's got explosive diarrhea. I'm so I gotta go there it goes. I guess she's gotta blow out. You know what, did you talk? I had family. It's okay, she's streaming us right now. You know, it's still It's her birthday on Saturday, too, Happy birthday. So the dad calls and says the reason that they don't want to have the kids there is because the future daughter in law is kind of like the villain in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang lollipops get into the wagon.
00:52:36
Speaker 4: I don't understand why this family member, father in law guy felt the need to clarify that. I know, Like, why were you to say, no, we decided to have an adults only dinner, no kids?
00:52:44
Speaker 3: You got it exactly too much information. You're trying to dance around this thing.
00:52:51
Speaker 4: I bet that future daughter in law is a gigantic pain in the ass, too gigantic pain in.
00:52:56
Speaker 3: The early and they're doing everything for her.
00:53:00
Speaker 4: Yeah. I had a conversation with somebody yesterday who was showing me photos of her grandchildren, and she's like, there's this, there's my son, and there's the woman who makes my life miserable. I was like, oh, not a fan of the daughter in law? Huh great, that's pretty funny.
00:53:14
Speaker 3: That's funny. Yeah. Eight seven seven six seven one hundred points. I would call her text you can leave us a talk back on the free iHeartRadio app, Liz is in debt them. Liz has a take on this. What do you think, Liz? Well, it's gen z in a nutshell and I've got two kids, I've had plenty of friends and.
00:53:32
Speaker 5: Have IVF, I've tried I yes, and have so much loss over and over again.
00:53:38
Speaker 3: This is just so much entitlement, Like, just cut it and just get on it's it's ridiculous.
00:53:43
Speaker 6: And just imagine what her kids would be like once she actually decides to have them.
00:53:49
Speaker 4: Yeah, spoiled little.
00:53:51
Speaker 3: Breath, Oh my god. Yeah, just deal with it. It's life. Life is full of kids. Yes, they're everywhere kids. It's okay with it until she knew the reasoning behind it, though, it seems like right and that was where the offense came in because someone lets slip the real reason why it's adults only right, Yeah, so whoever let slip the real reason why they're the hole?
00:54:10
Speaker 4: Yeah future father in law, Yes he's.
00:54:13
Speaker 3: An easy dope thing for him. But don't spy, Harold, why did you say anything?
00:54:17
Speaker 4: There was no need to, Like, really did that need to be said. That's one of those things that maybe he.
00:54:22
Speaker 3: Didn't need to. Maybe maybe he just said it. Doesn't even know. Mavie's like, ah, yeah, blah blah blah. You know, yeah, some people have kids, some people don't. But it wouldn't kill you to show for the dinner for like one of two hours. I'm sure someone will be able to watch your kids for you for one to two hours. Just don't leave them in the bathtub with a toaster.
00:54:44
Speaker 4: Nineteen eighty six. We can't let the four year old watch the three year old.
00:54:48
Speaker 3: No, the top lock.
00:54:50
Speaker 4: They'll be fine.
00:54:51
Speaker 6: It seems to me like there's three a holes in play here. Extra, the dad for letting the cat out of the bed.
00:54:58
Speaker 3: What you said? It's like, sho, I miss what you said?
00:55:03
Speaker 4: One forget it was a dirty Yeah.
00:55:06
Speaker 3: That's all I need. I love it?
00:55:09
Speaker 2: Oh?
00:55:09
Speaker 3: Really is that what it is? All right?
00:55:10
Speaker 6: All right, go ahead? I didn't even shot there. Yeah, so yeah, the dad for letting the cat out of the bag.
00:55:18
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:55:18
Speaker 6: The future daughter in law for just being a you know, yeah, you can't deal with her own feelings, all right, get over right, But I don't know the woman who wrote the email, like why why are you going to upset the apple cart with your with your husband's family over this? Like just let it go, like I at the very end of the email she wrote that.
00:55:38
Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, she's kind of like done with it. She's like, I don't want to be around them if they don't want to be around my kids. But it's family.
00:55:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, they must not get Italian definitely not the more kids that marry are pair Italian. If you don't bring the kids, you get yelled at if your town. All right, but she can't marry the kid, she can't cut off communication with the family because all of a sudden, cousins don't get to play with each other. Yeah. Somebody in this room may have gone through something like that when they were growing up. Really like who well, and it all came down to money when Grandpa's place was sold and how the money was dipped up. Yeah, always something like that.
00:56:17
Speaker 4: We're settling the will. Yeah, nine extra says uh. Just so you know, people with infertility don't announce they have fertility issues. So maybe it's something else and the future dad was being polite. Also, I'm sorry, I can't stand being around little kids when it's adult gathering.
00:56:33
Speaker 3: Really, it doesn't bother me. Yeah, maybe the dad doesn't like the kids and he blame it on the other. Maybe maybe I find the little kids entertaining.
00:56:42
Speaker 4: It depends on that kids a half hours.
00:56:44
Speaker 6: I'm telling you though, Like when I when I was growing up, if you didn't bring the kids to the house, somebody would, like a grandmother or an.
00:56:50
Speaker 3: Aunt, would have gone nuts.
00:56:52
Speaker 6: Where's the kids. Well, we just wanted to enjoy some free time. We got Baby says you didn't bring like you would get Just forget it ridiculed so bad? You ever went anywhere with advice?
00:57:02
Speaker 3: What's the matter with you?
00:57:04
Speaker 6: If you had a party without kids, you would be the just scorn.
00:57:08
Speaker 4: Karah scorn of the family.
00:57:11
Speaker 3: Scorge something for the table if you didn't bring cake or something for a dessert.
00:57:18
Speaker 4: A piece of cake out with a coffee.
00:57:20
Speaker 3: Did you see did you see that Marie walked in empty handed? I saw that. I'm like, she doesn't bring a kid. What does she do all day? I'll tell you what she does. She's drunk. Give me the jugg of wine with a handle on. I didn't need more.
00:57:32
Speaker 4: I brought some palmis on Sean.

00:57:45
Speaker 3: Hope you are too, mister Ims.
00:57:48
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna try to be the voice of reason and maybe give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she has a social anxiety, or maybe she just wants to get to know the adults in the family, or maybe she, you know, like a dog maybe she's just allergic to kids. I don't know, but there could be an actual reason that makes sense and we just don't know it. From the girl's perspective.
00:58:09
Speaker 3: All right, well there you go. Chunt's saying, maybe we're burying her a little too earlier. We don't know the whole story.
00:58:15
Speaker 4: Five a way, Chexter is kind of on that side. Their kids are obviously terrible, and the guy was making excuses, Ooh, Granda, what your kids can say?
00:58:24
Speaker 3: Grandpa's don't do. Grandpa doesn't like the kids. They sit in my chair. He would have just set them straight. Listen, why can't I turn on my TV? No more? They played with that remote. That's another thing. Like my grandfathers, both of them, when.
00:58:40
Speaker 6: We were getting like out of control rambunctious, he would just look at us and go go in the other room. And you went around okay, and he walked away. He went outside, like you just listened.
00:58:50
Speaker 3: Kids. These kids are clearly aren't these kind of kids? Well, it's also back then, you know, people were hitting kids and you're okay with that.
00:58:59
Speaker 6: With the belt, my Griffin, no, my Gridfinaly never hit you with the bell. But I would get dragged like he like you drag me my cousins. You would just grab us by like this by.

00:59:35
Speaker 3: Before you know it's swimsuit season's going to be here. Everybody's getting in shape for that look get out on the beach. Some guys are getting in shape I guess for something like that. Yeah, it's the first I've heard about this, but apparently there's a big community of gentlemen who are into uh, ball maxing, ha, ball ma. I've never heard of this before. Show us balls.
01:00:03
Speaker 4: Who's the so if Clovicular is the guy for looks maxing, who's the spokesperson for ball max Great question?
01:00:11
Speaker 3: Great question. Men are filling their testicles with leaders of saline in a trend known as ball maxing. They you know, typically the testicle is the size of well, like like a small egg or something a plum if you will your testicles, my shoes or size eleven. So, I mean, I know you've got a huge, huge pecks and everything, but jeez, you know we.
01:00:35
Speaker 4: Couldn't play this song for a while.
01:00:36
Speaker 3: In the other station, there's an online riddit community of ten thousand men that shows them inflating their scrotos to the size of grapefruits?
01:00:45
Speaker 4: What are we doing? Usually it's the opposite. You want them to be smaller, right, so the thing looks bigger?
01:00:51
Speaker 3: Could you explain this a little better than me? But in your anchor anchor voice? Hang on when use breaks in the Tri state area for the do you hear it here on w z LX Boston.
01:01:05
Speaker 4: Just to give credit, I'm going to do a dramatic reading from a piece that appears on Fox news dot com. Ball maxing is electrifying, addictive, euphoric, and transcendental. According to those pursuing bigger balls, if we're going to have looksmaxing, we might as well have ball maxing too, am I right? Looks maxing is a bizarre online self improvement practice. According to Wikipedia. Now, ball maxing is slightly different from looksmaxing. Ball maxing is all about going for the biggest balls possible. Why. Who really knows, But according to Men's Health, it's here, and there are some who have been wrapped up in the pursuit of bigger balls for years. A fifty seven year old man by the name of Marcus told the Men's Lifestyle magazine He's been obsessed with making his balls bigger for decades. It's a passion, he thinks, grew out of the comic books he read as a child.
01:02:03
Speaker 3: What kind of comic book.
01:02:05
Speaker 4: By his own measurements, his scrotum is quote bigger than a mango unquote, I'm guessing like a kit mango, at fourteen point four inches. He has managed to grow to that size by injecting a surgical lubricant called sergeon lube. Why. He's not sure, but he's learned a few things along the way. He said, I'm astonished at how flexible the testicles are. They just expand.
01:02:29
Speaker 3: All right, what do you do? And what does that do to the scrotum? I mean it's going up like a balloon in a balloon. If you blow that up too too much, it explodes.
01:02:39
Speaker 4: It does, or when it shrinks back down, You're gonna get them even more riankly skin.
01:02:43
Speaker 6: By the way, flexible testicles are playing at the Middle East next week. That's Middle East upstairs. Yeah, that's Middle East upstairs.
01:02:49
Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't get the bigger things. Says here. People can be very turned on by their balls being inflated or looking at them once they're inflated.
01:02:57
Speaker 4: Then you just get the little floppy cocktail when are on the top.
01:03:00
Speaker 3: One person writes, it feels so good, It feels so good to be that heavy. You know.
01:03:10
Speaker 4: I know a guy who used to tug on his his balls. He knows because he liked him. They were They were high and tight, and I'm like, that's nice. Like women, we like that. We like a high in tight situation. You do, Yeah, I don't want to swing all over the place hit in the side of your leg. Guyekin off, Okay, alight?
01:03:26
Speaker 3: What was he? Was he trying to go for the eighty year old man in the in the gym.
01:03:30
Speaker 4: Trying to get him, hanging.
01:03:33
Speaker 3: Him caught in a zipper.
01:03:34
Speaker 4: It's like a running joke.
01:03:35
Speaker 3: What what's the PSI you put on these? What would Brady do? I don't know what seventy.
01:03:39
Speaker 4: Say on the sidewall of the testicle.
01:03:42
Speaker 3: It's a great question. Yeah, isn't there a warning sign that just don't inflate above or something like that? How do you drive a car carefully? How do you sit down?
01:03:50
Speaker 2: Man?
01:03:51
Speaker 4: The man's spreading was already bad enough. Now you get two big, giant testicles, and you're taking over my seat on the airplane.
01:03:56
Speaker 3: Some of those baboons with the bum that's walk around like that all the test I'm taking a you, tyler, because you're always shifting in your chair as it is.
01:04:06
Speaker 6: So yeah, that's what I was gonna say, Like I'm constantly moving these bad boys around, like we know, when I'm sitting on the couch and home on. Every once in a while the hand goes down, they get lifted up out of the way, just.
01:04:21
Speaker 3: Bigger, the worse. I can't imagine.
01:04:28
Speaker 6: So much information. Tell me you don't do that when you're sitting on the couch. You don't adjust if you have to, Yes, you just regularly.
01:04:36
Speaker 3: Probably, I don't think about it. I think it's like breathing. You don't even think about it.
01:04:41
Speaker 4: Do you wear chinos? Because I mean, you know, I got a couple of two three. You know, I'm welling down on top. Okay, so it's hard to find clothes to kind of fit around that sometimes. So I'm trying to think. I mean, I guess so cotton.
01:04:55
Speaker 3: Doggers that just leaps from the room when you're in it. And then large situation here. It really has to affect your life in so many different ways. Yeah, you can't wear underwear, that's for sure. Kids sit down, like how do you marry? Becomes a problem.
01:05:10
Speaker 4: There was a whole thing with like, you know the pictures of the guys in the eighties that have like elephants in the nuts.
01:05:15
Speaker 6: Yeah, I want to see something tasty clear.
01:05:21
Speaker 3: Well breakfast. Sorry I had to do it, you said all times.

01:05:40
Speaker 4: Another guy I know would do that.
01:05:41
Speaker 3: Let's not do that. Let's not do that anymore. So Small go home.

Eight seven seven six point seven caller text download the free iHeartRadio app. Leave us a talk back button. Just hit that little red microphone comes right to us, right to us. What are we?
00:50:50

00:57:34

00:59:23
Speaker 1: Put a face to the voice by following at WX on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Show on one point seven w X Boston's classic rock.
01:05:23
Speaker 4: I know, I know.
01:05:24
Speaker 3: Oh look there goes Bob. Oh god, what is that walking like that? Looks like two kids fighting under a blanket. You play like you're giving yourself this rip shot.
01:05:40
Speaker 4: Another guy I know would do that.
