ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Thanks for tuning in and spending your time with us in this episode of The Chisme Wire! By the time you hear this episode the news and culture will have already shifted.
This episode was recorded right at the end of August and due to an ER situation we were unable to release the episode until today. What's nuts to reflect on is how quickly the news moves, how quickly the masses follow this highly controlled current, and how quickly we stop the conversation on important topics that impact us all.
And yet, the information in this episode is still wildly relevant. Here's what we discuss:
- The fallacy of meritocracy (in most cases)
- The ascension of the most awful people in the world
- Retraining our brains to avoid the behavioral marketing trap + the cult of personality
- Hope's take on working with men versus working with women + how the culture promotes women of poor character into positions of power
- Censorship + tech monopolies, and the emergence of parallel economies
- Battling cognitive bias + getting comfortable with being wrong
- The theft of wages and how there's zero ROI for said wage theft
- Overpaid Chicago politicians
- RFK's Trump endorsement + health, wellness, regenerative ag, the American food system + the poisoning of the labor force
- Grocery bill gaslighting, shrinkflation, and the controlled demolition of the working class
- Hope pops off on what she calls "the reversal of the Southern Switch"
No housewives chisme this time around 'cause reality was served up hot enough.
Much love, kin.
