ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Fall is a season of transition and that means the way you find and catch fish starts to change.
On this week’s Tackle Box Tip presented by Icon Coolers, Captain Jonathan Moss is joined by Captain Bobby Woodard to break down what anglers should be paying attention to as summer gives way to fall and eventually winter.
From changing bait patterns and the fall mullet transition to shrimp, fish movement, water temperature, sun position, and slowing down your presentation as winter approaches, Jonathan and Bobby talk through how to recognize the changes happening on the water and adjust your game plan.
They also discuss why keeping a Captain’s Log can be one of the best tools an angler has, helping you remember where fish were, what they were eating, and how conditions changed from year to year.
Whether you fish freshwater, the flats, backcountry, creeks, beaches, or inshore waters, the transition into fall is a great time to start paying attention to the details.
Get prepared. Watch the patterns. Follow the bait. And keep a Captain’s Log.
