00:06:38.050 --> 00:06:38.410
Hello.
35
00:06:39.110 --> 00:06:41.939
I can't possibly be the only one here. They've done
36
00:06:41.980 --> 00:06:45.199
it to me again, haven't they? Good evening, everyone. I'm
37
00:06:45.220 --> 00:06:48.699
here with a couple of friends tonight. I've got English
38
00:06:48.740 --> 00:06:53.750
Heritage Bear and I've got Downing College Bear. So I'm
39
00:06:53.829 --> 00:06:57.560
either on the show and I don't know where they
40
00:06:57.689 --> 00:06:59.939
are or they're on the show and I don't know
41
00:06:59.980 --> 00:07:00.399
where I am.
42
00:07:03.079 --> 00:07:05.439
Yes, enough about that anyway. We've got rid of her now.
43
00:07:05.480 --> 00:07:07.779
That's Donna for the show. Good evening, Gage. How are you?
44
00:07:07.800 --> 00:07:14.750
I'm good. Look at that.
45
00:07:15.930 --> 00:07:20.290
Nick Berry's Jeremy Beadle's hand is in there.
46
00:07:21.110 --> 00:07:23.009
It's a lovely front cover. It's probably the best front
47
00:07:23.050 --> 00:07:27.149
cover I've seen of all the front covers. Well, it's
48
00:07:27.170 --> 00:07:31.449
good right up. Yeah. Thanks, Dave.
49
00:07:32.069 --> 00:07:34.649
Oh, Donna's there. Thank you for joining us.
50
00:07:36.040 --> 00:07:39.959
Hello, David. It's not well. Hello, Donna.
51
00:07:40.980 --> 00:07:41.839
Have you got a cold?
52
00:07:43.319 --> 00:07:48.560
Oh, I've got chest infection started from probably last weekend.
53
00:07:48.620 --> 00:07:50.600
Are you going to be sleeping with us at the weekend?
54
00:07:51.779 --> 00:07:55.519
Easy, Tiger. Won't go that far. Lord Stuart will have
55
00:07:55.540 --> 00:07:58.819
something to say about that, I'm sure. Good Lord. There
56
00:07:58.839 --> 00:07:59.939
won't be enough room for my bet.
57
00:07:59.990 --> 00:08:01.790
At least 20 years between us, Donna.
58
00:08:01.810 --> 00:08:02.290
Goodly, yeah.
59
00:08:03.449 --> 00:08:07.569
Hello, Relic Tag. Hello, Adrian McStraw. I've seen better on
60
00:08:07.610 --> 00:08:08.310
page three.
61
00:08:08.750 --> 00:08:09.689
Okay.
62
00:08:10.389 --> 00:08:11.660
We'll talk about Donna.
63
00:08:13.160 --> 00:08:15.199
Definitely seen better than me on page three.
64
00:08:17.600 --> 00:08:18.319
Wayne Rowlands.
65
00:08:18.699 --> 00:08:23.779
Hi, Wayne. He's doing well on his sponsorship still. If
66
00:08:23.819 --> 00:08:28.379
you go to the bigdetectingshow.com, you can still sponsor Wayne.
67
00:08:28.870 --> 00:08:31.509
We know your name. We know your number. We know
68
00:08:31.550 --> 00:08:34.330
if you've donated. So if you have, well done, and
69
00:08:34.370 --> 00:08:35.110
thank you very much.
70
00:08:35.129 --> 00:08:37.669
Yeah, and thank you. How much are we up to now?
71
00:08:37.789 --> 00:08:38.230
Do we know?
72
00:08:39.250 --> 00:08:41.850
It's over three grand, I think.
73
00:08:42.090 --> 00:08:43.070
Oh, come on.
74
00:08:43.110 --> 00:08:46.919
Dig deep. Tell your friends. We've got lots of nice
75
00:08:46.960 --> 00:08:50.100
hellos in the chat. Jim said me and Dave are
76
00:08:50.120 --> 00:08:51.399
like a comedy duo.
77
00:08:52.779 --> 00:08:54.399
Oh, Deus Girls, hi.
78
00:08:54.470 --> 00:08:54.990
How are you?
79
00:08:55.590 --> 00:08:58.149
Yeah, hi, Deus Girls. Hope to see you at the weekend.
80
00:08:58.169 --> 00:08:59.129
Hello, Deus Girls.
81
00:09:00.149 --> 00:09:04.149
Deus Girls, I sent you a link. Remember, I sent
82
00:09:04.169 --> 00:09:10.500
you a link. So when you're ready, they know what
83
00:09:10.509 --> 00:09:10.860
I'm talking about.
84
00:09:10.879 --> 00:09:12.940
Is that what I have? Three questions.
85
00:09:12.940 --> 00:09:17.950
£ 3, 260 in total, Wayne. That is amazing.
86
00:09:18.490 --> 00:09:19.730
That's a lot of money, isn't it?
87
00:09:20.090 --> 00:09:22.330
It is a lot of money. And he deserves it.
88
00:09:22.429 --> 00:09:25.149
And he deserves to reach his five grand target as well.
89
00:09:25.860 --> 00:09:28.879
I hope there's some generous benefactor out there who will
90
00:09:28.889 --> 00:09:29.769
just go, do you know what?
91
00:09:30.000 --> 00:09:33.220
Well, to be honest, Donis.
92
00:09:33.639 --> 00:09:35.279
Donis? Donis. Donis.
93
00:09:35.419 --> 00:09:36.960
That's the bloke's name.
94
00:09:38.019 --> 00:09:39.120
Donna with an E.
95
00:09:39.419 --> 00:09:40.220
Yeah, the wrong person.
96
00:09:40.919 --> 00:09:46.799
Yeah, I think I did. Some people have donated £ 100.
97
00:09:46.740 --> 00:09:54.000
I won't mention names. And some people have entered £ 50.
98
00:09:53.659 --> 00:09:59.230
Before I forget, Diggers Dash is currently going live. I've
99
00:09:59.269 --> 00:10:01.210
put the link in the a couple of times. If
100
00:10:01.250 --> 00:10:05.570
you're new to the show, we have an animated screen
101
00:10:06.590 --> 00:10:10.389
of detectorists, and I will put it on screen now,
102
00:10:10.450 --> 00:10:14.620
if you don't mind, David, just so people can always
103
00:10:14.720 --> 00:10:15.320
forget this.
104
00:10:16.120 --> 00:10:18.220
Well, given that this is a night out down the
105
00:10:18.259 --> 00:10:23.919
pub with your mates, basically it's a retro computer game
106
00:10:23.980 --> 00:10:26.179
version of you lot detecting.
107
00:10:26.230 --> 00:10:28.789
So all you've got to do is click the link
108
00:10:29.370 --> 00:10:33.529
and you're detecting. And at the moment, you're just sussing
109
00:10:33.610 --> 00:10:37.629
out the land, balancing your coil. I will start the
110
00:10:37.669 --> 00:10:38.850
game shortly.
111
00:10:39.210 --> 00:10:40.389
Actually, I'll start it now.
112
00:10:41.169 --> 00:10:43.649
We've got a prize tonight. I said that about three
113
00:10:43.720 --> 00:10:47.740
times last week and you didn't answer me. I think
114
00:10:47.779 --> 00:10:49.779
he's deaf, you know. Hello?
115
00:10:49.820 --> 00:10:52.779
How do I open entry page?
116
00:10:53.759 --> 00:10:54.899
You did it last week.
117
00:10:56.059 --> 00:10:58.100
No, that's because I'm trying to.
118
00:10:58.299 --> 00:11:04.299
Wayne said 3,260 in total. So if there's somebody out
119
00:11:04.370 --> 00:11:08.470
there who knows of a generous somebody who's got a
120
00:11:08.490 --> 00:11:10.970
bit more than the most of us to spare, give
121
00:11:10.990 --> 00:11:13.389
them a nudge and say, this guy has walked a
122
00:11:13.429 --> 00:11:17.750
million miles literally for us lot. And for those people
123
00:11:17.850 --> 00:11:20.450
out there, it touches us all. But for those people
124
00:11:20.529 --> 00:11:24.950
out there who have got somebody suffering, who needs a
125
00:11:24.980 --> 00:11:28.080
bit of support, just to say, you know, this guy
126
00:11:28.100 --> 00:11:30.559
has done all of this for people like you, it
127
00:11:30.600 --> 00:11:34.740
means a lot. There's a lot of hellos. Yes, Pedro
128
00:11:34.799 --> 00:11:37.059
said hello to me, which was very nice. He didn't
129
00:11:37.100 --> 00:11:39.090
say hello to you because you're annoying.
130
00:11:40.289 --> 00:11:44.159
Because that's just started. We're down with the kids, me
131
00:11:44.200 --> 00:11:46.580
and Adrian. That's why, aren't we, Adrian? I am.
132
00:11:47.159 --> 00:11:50.480
You haven't got my friends, though. Just saying.
133
00:11:50.600 --> 00:11:53.639
So, as we've grown up.
134
00:11:53.740 --> 00:11:59.179
I've got, well, no, Downing and Heritage. It's Horatio Heritage.
135
00:11:59.379 --> 00:12:07.149
That one, that one, that one. And he's new. You
136
00:12:07.190 --> 00:12:08.870
didn't know I had them sitting here, did you? You
137
00:12:08.909 --> 00:12:12.110
can't see what's behind my computer.
138
00:12:12.129 --> 00:12:14.710
I'd sit in sweep somewhere.
139
00:12:15.889 --> 00:12:20.080
Oh, don't start with the sit in sweep, Adrian. You have,
140
00:12:20.120 --> 00:12:22.700
they live under your desk. I bet, what's his name?
141
00:12:22.740 --> 00:12:24.440
He used to have his hand up and lives there
142
00:12:24.500 --> 00:12:27.259
as well. Where's Spank the Monkey, Dave?
143
00:12:29.600 --> 00:12:38.759
Anyway, we don't want to sit up so much. I've
144
00:12:38.820 --> 00:12:42.649
clicked the link. It's an easy way of get your
145
00:12:42.789 --> 00:12:46.750
steps up without getting your backside. Yes, Adrian, that is true.
146
00:12:48.289 --> 00:12:52.470
We are looking at integrating it into Apple Watch and
147
00:12:52.590 --> 00:12:56.509
Google Health so you could get your steps up. But
148
00:12:57.070 --> 00:13:02.460
I'll just look into the tech stats. So how many
149
00:13:02.500 --> 00:13:07.169
people we've got? I never found anything's doing very well. Oh, dear,
150
00:13:07.269 --> 00:13:09.070
someone just got blown up.
151
00:13:09.769 --> 00:13:11.830
Yeah, there is a jeopardy risk.
152
00:13:12.429 --> 00:13:15.340
It's bloody Wayne Rowlands firing bloody shaking bikes in the
153
00:13:15.379 --> 00:13:18.779
crowd again, that's why. Is it? Jim just said.
154
00:13:18.799 --> 00:13:19.379
Yeah, I just.
155
00:13:19.700 --> 00:13:20.620
Jim.
156
00:13:22.460 --> 00:13:26.500
Jim said if he wins the lottery, Wayne can have 10%.
157
00:13:26.500 --> 00:13:28.039
That is very generous.
158
00:13:27.720 --> 00:13:31.179
Of you, Jim. Yeah, but Jim's not... So if you
159
00:13:31.200 --> 00:13:35.159
win a tanner, he gets a quid. Anyway, we....
160
00:13:36.809 --> 00:13:41.480
Sooty and Sweet with the Seascope. Actually, that's a good
161
00:13:42.240 --> 00:13:44.259
part of the show we could do, actually, Sooty and
162
00:13:44.299 --> 00:13:50.899
Sweet with the Seascope, especially Sooty. This weekend, I'm very
163
00:13:50.960 --> 00:13:55.350
excited because we're going on a metal detecting rally.
164
00:13:55.870 --> 00:13:56.889
Adventure.
165
00:13:57.529 --> 00:14:01.210
Three of us. Donna, Donna, tell us what's happening. What
166
00:14:01.230 --> 00:14:01.730
are we doing?
167
00:14:02.429 --> 00:14:03.399
Hold on, hold on.
168
00:14:03.419 --> 00:14:06.559
You're getting Donna to ask. Donna always does the most speaking.
169
00:14:07.039 --> 00:14:09.419
Shouldn't she be quiet and one of us do the speaking,
170
00:14:09.480 --> 00:14:10.120
but not me?
171
00:14:11.039 --> 00:14:11.539
Yeah, that one.
172
00:14:11.919 --> 00:14:12.419
But not me.
173
00:14:12.919 --> 00:14:14.559
No, don't nominate other people if you don't.
174
00:14:14.580 --> 00:14:19.620
I've got a bad chest. I'll go and let Donna
175
00:14:19.659 --> 00:14:33.139
do it then. Sorry, Donna. You're unmuted.
176
00:14:33.950 --> 00:14:36.350
We are lucky enough to have been invited by the
177
00:14:36.409 --> 00:14:41.029
lovely Cheryl Dawes to the East of England rally. Yes, sweetheart.
178
00:14:41.649 --> 00:14:41.870
Yes.
179
00:14:42.529 --> 00:14:43.549
That's not the exciting bit.
180
00:14:43.610 --> 00:14:45.750
Ask Shane if he's free and if he wants to
181
00:14:45.789 --> 00:14:46.429
come on as well.
182
00:14:47.529 --> 00:14:48.309
Shane?
183
00:14:48.509 --> 00:14:51.340
Shane usually has karate, so I haven't asked him.
184
00:14:52.120 --> 00:14:54.240
Yeah, Shane. Well, I don't know if she can book
185
00:14:54.299 --> 00:14:57.480
any more rooms. But Shane, let us know if you
186
00:14:57.500 --> 00:15:00.460
want to come on. But Cheryl will be mad because
187
00:15:00.600 --> 00:15:01.820
we've already been messing her about.
188
00:15:02.450 --> 00:15:04.690
No, come on the show, you blare, not come on
189
00:15:04.710 --> 00:15:05.190
the weekend.
190
00:15:05.230 --> 00:15:07.190
Come on the show. Shane, do you want to come
191
00:15:07.250 --> 00:15:08.730
on the show? What are you doing in the chat,
192
00:15:08.750 --> 00:15:10.929
or are you just waiting in the car for karate?
193
00:15:11.590 --> 00:15:15.830
Stephen Brayne's at bingo. Anyway, so we are all going
194
00:15:15.870 --> 00:15:16.269
to start.
195
00:15:17.110 --> 00:15:20.389
You had your chance. You didn't talk about the weekend
196
00:15:20.450 --> 00:15:27.129
at all. So this weekend, Dave, myself, Donna are going
197
00:15:27.149 --> 00:15:32.080
to East of England rallies, and we're kindly... through shell doors,
198
00:15:32.159 --> 00:15:38.879
staying in a 14th, 13th century castle, um, which is haunted.
199
00:15:38.919 --> 00:15:41.200
And I can tell you, I can, I can tell
200
00:15:41.259 --> 00:15:44.330
you that for a fact, because, uh, I stayed there
201
00:15:44.370 --> 00:15:48.090
last night, last year with Julian Evan art and a
202
00:15:48.129 --> 00:15:51.629
few other people. And it was scary as hell, but
203
00:15:52.330 --> 00:16:00.320
ignoring the castle aside, absolutely brilliant permission, well-organized, really good rally. Um,
204
00:16:01.409 --> 00:16:04.860
Everyone found something. I found a few bits. I can't
205
00:16:04.879 --> 00:16:07.240
remember what I found, but I did find some good bits.
206
00:16:07.720 --> 00:16:10.500
But we're going this weekend. So what we will do,
207
00:16:11.320 --> 00:16:14.879
for those who have trouble sleeping at night, we will
208
00:16:14.899 --> 00:16:18.509
do a little video of us at the castle. We
209
00:16:18.529 --> 00:16:22.210
will do a video of us detecting. And we'll probably
210
00:16:22.250 --> 00:16:26.350
put it up on YouTube, Dave, as a separate thing
211
00:16:26.429 --> 00:16:27.070
to the show.
212
00:16:27.610 --> 00:16:28.730
Do you agree?
213
00:16:28.970 --> 00:16:35.120
Like a little video? However, this man here is very,
214
00:16:35.220 --> 00:16:39.460
very good. And I'm changing the show a bit tonight.
215
00:16:39.799 --> 00:16:43.139
This man here has been on the BBC. He's been
216
00:16:43.210 --> 00:16:45.870
on a lot. He doesn't like shouting about it. He
217
00:16:45.909 --> 00:16:51.710
never does. He's been on some big global television channels for,
218
00:16:52.570 --> 00:16:56.490
I don't like calling it ghost hunting. What do you
219
00:16:56.529 --> 00:16:58.090
call it? Supernatural.
220
00:16:58.110 --> 00:16:59.710
Paranormal Investigator.
221
00:17:00.230 --> 00:17:03.470
Donna, I muted you. Parapsychologist.
222
00:17:04.230 --> 00:17:09.509
Parapsychologist. So we're in this castle. I've been there last
223
00:17:09.589 --> 00:17:13.549
year and it's had, I don't believe in ghosts, but
224
00:17:13.630 --> 00:17:16.410
things happened. And my mate James is probably in the chat.
225
00:17:18.230 --> 00:17:22.869
It's going to be a really good video. And I
226
00:17:22.990 --> 00:17:26.710
think we'll dedicate the next show to part of it
227
00:17:27.190 --> 00:17:31.579
on metal detecting finds. and also where we're staying. And
228
00:17:31.660 --> 00:17:34.519
hats off to Cheryl for letting us stay there, because
229
00:17:35.039 --> 00:17:42.890
it is amazing. Her digs are really good, and thank you, Cheryl,
230
00:17:42.910 --> 00:17:46.109
for putting us up where we're staying. I can't wait.
231
00:17:46.509 --> 00:17:51.259
I think the last time I got excited about this
232
00:17:51.700 --> 00:17:55.819
was after COVID, when Detective All did their spring podcast,
233
00:17:58.210 --> 00:18:02.279
where no one saw anyone for like a year and.
234
00:18:02.220 --> 00:18:03.940
We didn't know if we were allowed by each other
235
00:18:03.960 --> 00:18:04.720
either did we.
236
00:18:05.400 --> 00:18:08.000
No one was allowed to hug each other we just
237
00:18:08.039 --> 00:18:12.519
got pissed and done it anyway yeah we did actually
238
00:18:12.539 --> 00:18:14.119
we should have been.
239
00:18:14.019 --> 00:18:20.059
In tune with enough alcohol.
240
00:18:17.539 --> 00:18:21.660
Yeah I'm excited about this weekend and I feel lucky
241
00:18:21.900 --> 00:18:23.920
as well I think I'm going to find.
242
00:18:23.519 --> 00:18:25.980
Oh I don't know.
243
00:18:27.720 --> 00:18:29.990
I haven't found a ring for a while, so I'm
244
00:18:30.029 --> 00:18:35.009
looking at a medieval gold ring this weekend. I'll be happy,
245
00:18:35.109 --> 00:18:36.809
but I don't care if I don't find anything.
246
00:18:36.849 --> 00:18:38.450
I'm going to find something.
247
00:18:39.960 --> 00:18:42.500
Something. Do you know what? I'd love to find a
248
00:18:42.559 --> 00:18:45.180
Crotal Bell. I haven't had a whole Crotal Bell for
249
00:18:45.259 --> 00:18:46.940
so long. Keep finding bits.
250
00:18:47.470 --> 00:18:50.740
Come down my way, Jesus Christ, to keep finding them
251
00:18:50.759 --> 00:18:51.460
all the bloody time.
252
00:18:51.480 --> 00:18:55.180
Talking to Crotal Bells, Dave Evans, if he's in the chat,
253
00:18:55.359 --> 00:18:58.680
last weekend was the Rodney Cook one day down in
254
00:18:59.140 --> 00:18:59.900
Malmesbury Way.
255
00:18:59.920 --> 00:19:00.660
Oh, yes.
256
00:19:00.859 --> 00:19:06.240
And Dave on the Sunday had a magnificently large Crotal
257
00:19:06.279 --> 00:19:09.240
Bell with lots of engravings. Unfortunately, it was a little
258
00:19:09.259 --> 00:19:13.670
bit snapped off the end of it, but other than that,
259
00:19:13.930 --> 00:19:15.029
it was delightful.
260
00:19:15.769 --> 00:19:16.710
Send us a picture.
261
00:19:17.579 --> 00:19:17.740
No.
262
00:19:18.660 --> 00:19:21.140
Yes, and Wayne said, well, I did when we were
263
00:19:21.259 --> 00:19:25.279
at RCM last time. And he said, guess what I found?
264
00:19:25.859 --> 00:19:28.309
And he had his hand covered like that.
265
00:19:28.329 --> 00:19:29.630
I haven't finished talking.
266
00:19:29.650 --> 00:19:32.450
You had?
267
00:19:32.470 --> 00:19:33.549
I haven't.
268
00:19:33.569 --> 00:19:36.750
Go on then. You've got a very sexy voice, by
269
00:19:36.769 --> 00:19:37.009
the way.
270
00:19:38.269 --> 00:19:38.670
I know.
271
00:19:39.190 --> 00:19:39.869
You could do one of.
272
00:19:39.849 --> 00:19:42.930
Those office-shaped adverts. Yes, I had one. I'm getting a
273
00:19:42.930 --> 00:19:45.470
bit over-girded tonight. I think she's been on the TV.
274
00:19:45.990 --> 00:19:47.230
I never said that to Dave.
275
00:19:48.180 --> 00:19:53.339
I know and I appreciate it Anyway, Dave, carry on.
276
00:19:55.380 --> 00:19:58.380
The campsite that it was at was fantastic.
277
00:19:58.519 --> 00:19:59.960
It was electrical. I'll piss off.
278
00:20:00.519 --> 00:20:05.279
Hook-up points and such like. And a bar, which was
279
00:20:05.400 --> 00:20:11.009
very nice. Served their Hawkston stuff. Made Nice sandwiches. Very
280
00:20:11.069 --> 00:20:13.349
nice sandwiches, in fact. But it was one of the.
281
00:20:14.789 --> 00:20:17.750
Most memorable evenings of my life. It was fantastic. I
282
00:20:17.950 --> 00:20:19.329
had a great evening there.
283
00:20:19.849 --> 00:20:25.619
And then detected on... Well, my mood went, eww, Sunday morning,
284
00:20:25.640 --> 00:20:29.279
but that's a different matter. And then, yeah, went out
285
00:20:29.299 --> 00:20:31.700
and about. I could only do a couple of hours
286
00:20:31.720 --> 00:20:32.319
because my.
287
00:20:35.579 --> 00:20:38.380
I wasn't thinking along the correct lines at that point.
288
00:20:39.369 --> 00:20:43.349
But yeah, great weekend. Spent a lot of time with
289
00:20:43.529 --> 00:20:51.390
Gary and John, with Steve Barnett, Steve Cord, Shane, Steve, obviously, Ricardo.
290
00:20:51.990 --> 00:20:56.789
Liam, his girlfriend, Tasman, Di, Evans.
291
00:20:57.970 --> 00:21:01.470
And I took a picture because I was like, yay,
292
00:21:01.589 --> 00:21:03.869
he's still alive and he's amazing.
293
00:21:04.609 --> 00:21:08.210
We met Ted again. Ted was there. Oh, Ted, yes.
294
00:21:08.990 --> 00:21:11.119
Donna didn't have a clue who it was. Didn't have
295
00:21:11.130 --> 00:21:13.160
a clue who it was, but obviously Adrian did.
296
00:21:13.500 --> 00:21:15.440
I didn't have my specs on at the time.
297
00:21:15.460 --> 00:21:16.680
Of course not.
298
00:21:16.700 --> 00:21:20.460
Have you not got the photo? No, I can't see
299
00:21:20.480 --> 00:21:21.680
my phone in detail.
300
00:21:21.700 --> 00:21:24.259
Some of us, remember Donna again, I have to refer
301
00:21:24.319 --> 00:21:25.339
back to this every week.
302
00:21:25.400 --> 00:21:27.160
Some of us have to work. We don't get until
303
00:21:27.180 --> 00:21:27.900
half past six.
304
00:21:27.980 --> 00:21:33.109
So there's a continuity thing about getting things actually done.
305
00:21:34.410 --> 00:21:40.480
Dave, can I just interject, please? Gerald Dawes, Test Run
306
00:21:41.099 --> 00:21:45.640
gave up a screw and a Tilby Penny. These are
307
00:21:45.700 --> 00:21:50.740
new fields, so hopefully get some great finds for everyone. Well,
308
00:21:50.819 --> 00:21:53.630
they always do, Cheryl. I don't know how you do it,
309
00:21:53.809 --> 00:21:57.890
but a Tilby Penny, if you don't know what a
310
00:21:57.890 --> 00:22:02.089
Tilby Penny is, Google it. I found one and my mate, oh,
311
00:22:02.109 --> 00:22:05.039
did I find two? No, I found one, my mate
312
00:22:05.079 --> 00:22:08.420
found one the other year, and the history behind a
313
00:22:08.480 --> 00:22:10.400
Tilby penny is phenomenal.
314
00:22:10.839 --> 00:22:13.529
So I'm really, really... Yeah, you got.
315
00:22:13.430 --> 00:22:16.130
Very excited about your Tilby penny, didn't you, when you
316
00:22:16.470 --> 00:22:17.470
found that?
317
00:22:18.089 --> 00:22:20.579
Yeah, mine....
318
00:22:20.759 --> 00:22:26.779
They are, and also mine is... I've been told exceptional condition,
319
00:22:27.140 --> 00:22:29.039
like really, really light.
320
00:22:29.180 --> 00:22:33.900
So please, Adrian, as we're a metal detecting show, we
321
00:22:33.940 --> 00:22:37.480
discuss metal detecting files and such like, and some people
322
00:22:37.740 --> 00:22:41.109
in the chat and other people around might not know
323
00:22:41.150 --> 00:22:43.769
what a tilby penny is for exact details.
324
00:22:44.029 --> 00:22:48.430
Please elaborate. Um, I wrote an article on it.
325
00:22:48.450 --> 00:22:55.400
Uh, They're very rare, and the reason they're called Atilbe
326
00:22:55.420 --> 00:22:58.440
is because over 300 of them were found in the
327
00:22:58.480 --> 00:23:00.269
village Atilbe.
328
00:23:00.309 --> 00:23:01.569
There's more than that.
329
00:23:02.970 --> 00:23:04.730
Yeah, he said over 300.
330
00:23:04.730 --> 00:23:08.309
Actually, I can top-trump you on that, Donna. The man
331
00:23:08.529 --> 00:23:13.170
who was used to identify them was a genealogist on
332
00:23:13.269 --> 00:23:14.990
Captain Cook's ship.
333
00:23:16.490 --> 00:23:21.369
Was he? Well, it was about 1,600 coins, and the
334
00:23:21.410 --> 00:23:22.470
reason that they are rare is.
335
00:23:22.490 --> 00:23:25.390
Adrian was like that. He said over 300.
336
00:23:25.390 --> 00:23:26.829
Yes, it was over 300.
337
00:23:26.809 --> 00:23:30.910
No, are you sure it was 60? Anyway, it's not
338
00:23:30.930 --> 00:23:31.089
a game.
339
00:23:31.109 --> 00:23:34.569
Yeah, the reason that they are rare is because.
340
00:23:35.430 --> 00:23:36.819
Tell us about it, please.
341
00:23:36.859 --> 00:23:37.180
Come on.
342
00:23:37.559 --> 00:23:41.279
About 300 of them or so were given out to...
343
00:23:41.279 --> 00:23:43.960
They were either saved or given out to various museums,
344
00:23:44.460 --> 00:23:48.230
but they melted all the rest down. So basically there
345
00:23:48.250 --> 00:23:51.529
were very few from the horde actually went back into
346
00:23:51.589 --> 00:23:54.029
circulation is why they're so rare. And if you ever
347
00:23:54.119 --> 00:23:59.480
find one, they are very irregular size. They are always
348
00:23:59.779 --> 00:24:04.039
mistruck and some of them are very, only very lightly struck.
349
00:24:04.900 --> 00:24:06.859
So if you've got a really good quality strike on
350
00:24:06.900 --> 00:24:09.519
yours anywhere near the centre, then it will be a
351
00:24:09.559 --> 00:24:12.920
good example. But yeah, if Cheryl says one of those
352
00:24:12.960 --> 00:24:16.349
has come up, There will be other hammered. Believe me,
353
00:24:16.410 --> 00:24:19.259
there'll be plenty of other hammered. So we're possibly looking
354
00:24:19.279 --> 00:24:22.200
at a really good sign. Michael Jarvis, by the way,
355
00:24:22.339 --> 00:24:23.880
and I don't know if it's because he wanted me
356
00:24:23.920 --> 00:24:26.819
to say it, but he said, please, will somebody find
357
00:24:26.980 --> 00:24:29.319
a chat? We all know what that is.
358
00:24:30.299 --> 00:24:34.119
I had a chat this afternoon. He'll be penny. I think.
359
00:24:34.460 --> 00:24:34.759
Sorry.
360
00:24:38.890 --> 00:24:42.250
A tilby penny is a type of 12th century hammered
361
00:24:42.410 --> 00:24:44.519
silver coin. It is.
362
00:24:45.059 --> 00:24:50.480
It's in England, roughly 1158 to 1180.
363
00:24:50.480 --> 00:24:52.420
And it's a crosslet upon it.
364
00:24:53.019 --> 00:24:57.740
And it's several English mints, including Canterbury, London and others.
365
00:24:57.880 --> 00:25:01.420
Often very crude and irregular, with poorly struck designs and
366
00:25:01.539 --> 00:25:03.720
sometimes surprisingly square.
367
00:25:04.369 --> 00:25:06.630
Oh, misshapen flaps. Sorry, flags.
368
00:25:07.069 --> 00:25:11.849
They're the worst coin, I think, ever produced in history.
369
00:25:12.390 --> 00:25:15.569
They are such... I reckon the bloke had about 10
370
00:25:15.569 --> 00:25:21.049
points when he was minting them. But mine is exceptionally
371
00:25:21.130 --> 00:25:23.259
well preserved, really good.
372
00:25:23.319 --> 00:25:28.039
Oh, Philip Will said 6,000. Yeah, thanks for putting me
373
00:25:28.099 --> 00:25:29.619
right on that. I knew there was a six in
374
00:25:29.660 --> 00:25:33.990
it somewhere. But, yeah, very few went back out into
375
00:25:34.029 --> 00:25:38.509
the wild again. Oh, Cheryl said it was a shat,
376
00:25:38.730 --> 00:25:39.349
not a screw.
377
00:25:39.369 --> 00:25:39.890
Got you, Wayne.
378
00:25:41.920 --> 00:25:46.599
Oh, but I think 5,000 were melted down, weren't they?
379
00:25:47.660 --> 00:25:52.019
Yes, that's why they're red. Over 5,000.
380
00:25:52.019 --> 00:25:56.529
So out of 1,000 coins, I found one of them,
381
00:25:56.690 --> 00:25:59.769
and my mate found one, James. That is pretty cool,
382
00:25:59.789 --> 00:26:00.150
isn't it?
383
00:26:00.609 --> 00:26:01.200
That drops a.
384
00:26:05.589 --> 00:26:09.130
In my experience, they normally tend to come up on
385
00:26:09.470 --> 00:26:15.710
market sites. James Barton says, Shat question mark, exclamation mark, Skeeters. Yes,
386
00:26:16.190 --> 00:26:21.619
the British Museum, the Boffs, pronounce them Shatters or Shats, James.
387
00:26:22.359 --> 00:26:24.839
Don't ask me why, but that's the official version.
388
00:26:25.500 --> 00:26:27.559
And when they realise that I've been for a Shat,
389
00:26:27.579 --> 00:26:28.920
they might change it to Skeeters.
390
00:26:30.339 --> 00:26:31.319
One thing I will say.
391
00:26:31.339 --> 00:26:32.690
We actually had a lecture on it.
392
00:26:34.140 --> 00:26:37.200
One thing I will say, they came up, I think,
393
00:26:37.660 --> 00:26:41.809
what did I find it with? Deus 2. I think
394
00:26:41.890 --> 00:26:46.349
it came up at like 18, 20. It was really
395
00:26:46.430 --> 00:26:52.099
low signal on the VDI, but the tone was, so
396
00:26:52.119 --> 00:26:53.380
it goes back to a good tone.
397
00:26:53.420 --> 00:26:57.660
Those tones is what I was going to say as well. Oh, congratulations,
398
00:26:57.680 --> 00:27:01.519
Dave Moore. Oh, If you get to utilise it well,
399
00:27:02.210 --> 00:27:04.059
love to have you on to talk about it.
400
00:27:04.490 --> 00:27:05.630
Utilise what, Donna?
401
00:27:05.650 --> 00:27:10.220
Because obviously people who are listening can't read.
402
00:27:10.279 --> 00:27:15.160
After two years' wait, he's got his maglarking permit this week. Well,
403
00:27:15.200 --> 00:27:16.220
that's Dave Moore.
404
00:27:18.900 --> 00:27:21.519
Oh, God, he's off. Don't fart.
405
00:27:23.460 --> 00:27:27.799
I think he's just shouted. Never mind, shout. So....
406
00:27:29.269 --> 00:27:32.130
Donna's just done a year.
407
00:27:34.450 --> 00:27:37.869
What was that?
408
00:27:39.809 --> 00:27:47.759
It's a long story. I'll tell you where it comes from, Donna.
409
00:27:48.339 --> 00:27:53.039
When I was younger, it'd be 1980, I'd be watching
410
00:27:53.099 --> 00:27:57.319
James Bond, Live and Let Die, with my dad, and
411
00:27:57.359 --> 00:28:01.769
it'd be a summer's evening, I'd start sneezing. My brother
412
00:28:01.869 --> 00:28:05.089
used to get so cross when I sneezed. I was
413
00:28:05.130 --> 00:28:08.349
probably eight or nine or ten. He used to punch
414
00:28:08.410 --> 00:28:11.740
me every time I sneezed with hay fever watching a
415
00:28:11.779 --> 00:28:14.460
James Bond film. Unlike now, you can pause it.
416
00:28:14.519 --> 00:28:15.160
Rewind it.
417
00:28:15.660 --> 00:28:18.799
So I've got like PTSD for sneezing.
418
00:28:19.319 --> 00:28:23.140
This is true. This is true. I sneeze like a cat.
419
00:28:27.599 --> 00:28:29.359
You do sneeze like a cat, yeah.
420
00:28:29.400 --> 00:28:30.140
Chew me out.
421
00:28:30.180 --> 00:28:30.460
Yes.
422
00:28:30.529 --> 00:28:32.569
Chew me out.
423
00:28:32.829 --> 00:28:34.230
Cats do that.
424
00:28:34.509 --> 00:28:39.710
It's because my brother used to punch me. Because hay
425
00:28:39.750 --> 00:28:44.759
fever wasn't known then. Anyway, going back to this weekend.
426
00:28:44.910 --> 00:28:48.880
I think you need to get him back in PTSD, eh, Adrian? Yeah, definitely.
427
00:28:49.019 --> 00:28:51.779
I've got him back. I live a better life.
428
00:28:52.140 --> 00:28:57.400
Dave, what metal detector are you taking... to East of
429
00:28:57.480 --> 00:29:01.349
England this weekend. I am taking two. I am taking
430
00:29:01.410 --> 00:29:06.630
the Deus II electric Boogaloo and I'm taking the Manticore
431
00:29:06.730 --> 00:29:11.799
because the adult version of my child is coming along
432
00:29:11.859 --> 00:29:12.220
as well.
433
00:29:13.559 --> 00:29:15.740
Ah, yes, you need extras. Do you want to put
434
00:29:15.880 --> 00:29:20.220
Anthony Minn's comment up? He says, I helped recover further
435
00:29:20.240 --> 00:29:24.519
tilbys from a horde which ended up... with over 400
436
00:29:24.519 --> 00:29:29.069
being found, with rings, a brooch, two gold coins, and more.
437
00:29:30.369 --> 00:29:32.390
It was in a field I passed hundreds of times,
438
00:29:32.450 --> 00:29:36.109
but never thought of asking the farmer. Gutted. It's always
439
00:29:36.150 --> 00:29:37.150
the way, Anthony.
440
00:29:38.299 --> 00:29:39.559
Dave, more's just there.
441
00:29:40.390 --> 00:29:42.710
You there.
442
00:29:45.299 --> 00:29:47.519
He says, what Bond film was it? A Flew to
443
00:29:47.599 --> 00:29:48.019
a Kill?
444
00:29:48.930 --> 00:29:51.259
I think it was A View to a Kill, actually.
445
00:29:51.839 --> 00:29:52.539
That is classic.
446
00:29:52.559 --> 00:29:54.559
No, no, no. It was Live and Let Die.
447
00:29:54.579 --> 00:29:55.779
It was Live and Let Die.
448
00:29:56.119 --> 00:29:56.759
There you go.
449
00:29:56.839 --> 00:30:05.509
Donner What detector are you taking this weekend?
450
00:30:05.789 --> 00:30:11.549
I am taking the Deus 2. It's got the HF
451
00:30:11.609 --> 00:30:13.809
coil on it, which isn't ideal for a rally, really.
452
00:30:13.849 --> 00:30:16.279
You should have your black one on, but... Well.
453
00:30:16.319 --> 00:30:17.660
You don't know. You don't know.
454
00:30:18.359 --> 00:30:22.359
Well, I've been putting it through its paces and it's
455
00:30:22.799 --> 00:30:25.799
on fire at the moment. I've been out three times
456
00:30:25.859 --> 00:30:28.940
this week because the weather's been nice and only for
457
00:30:29.049 --> 00:30:31.849
like two or three hours each time and i've come
458
00:30:31.869 --> 00:30:36.210
back with something interesting good each time so what program
459
00:30:36.250 --> 00:30:39.450
are you running i only run it on general with
460
00:30:39.490 --> 00:30:42.009
a few tweaks i don't like i don't like it
461
00:30:42.049 --> 00:30:44.849
really noisy and i can't get on because i'm not
462
00:30:44.890 --> 00:30:47.470
messing about with it there's a lot of the sounds
463
00:30:47.529 --> 00:30:50.099
on the other programs i can't get on with so
464
00:30:50.130 --> 00:30:54.869
i keep um oh what is the one Is it
465
00:30:54.910 --> 00:30:57.829
number two, number three? I keep trying the one that
466
00:30:57.890 --> 00:31:00.170
the Deus Girls do, and I've been trying it for ages,
467
00:31:00.190 --> 00:31:02.390
and I just can't get on. And when I put
468
00:31:02.430 --> 00:31:04.759
it on that, you know, with the Deus, it's so
469
00:31:04.839 --> 00:31:08.480
easy to flick through the programs and re-listen to the signal.
470
00:31:09.200 --> 00:31:11.660
I can still hear what I'm digging anyway. I'm not
471
00:31:11.759 --> 00:31:16.039
missing anything. So the deep sense is not getting me
472
00:31:16.259 --> 00:31:20.099
any deeper than I'm getting with the settings that I'm
473
00:31:20.180 --> 00:31:23.430
on in general. So I'm happy with it, and I'm
474
00:31:23.470 --> 00:31:29.200
getting depth. and my land is flat rolled at the
475
00:31:29.240 --> 00:31:33.799
moment it's reasonably deeply plowed it is a bit compact
476
00:31:33.880 --> 00:31:38.220
underneath but i am getting probably six to nine inches
477
00:31:38.960 --> 00:31:41.500
so you know and that's not i mean that could
478
00:31:41.519 --> 00:31:44.119
be a button so it's fine with stuff.
479
00:31:44.809 --> 00:31:47.930
With the hf2 elliptical coil.
480
00:31:48.089 --> 00:31:53.009
Yeah yeah but i'm slow i'm I am slow.
481
00:31:53.069 --> 00:31:54.410
I'm slower than a lot of people.
482
00:31:54.589 --> 00:31:56.170
I know you're a bit retarded.
483
00:31:56.309 --> 00:31:56.630
We know.
484
00:31:57.970 --> 00:32:02.589
I think Wayne Rollins might have surpassed himself.
485
00:32:02.609 --> 00:32:02.670
Oh.
486
00:32:02.750 --> 00:32:05.990
My Roman coin display coffee table is nearly finished. It
487
00:32:06.049 --> 00:32:10.150
has a lift mechanism built into the lower and raise
488
00:32:10.539 --> 00:32:13.579
a life-size Roman Gladys sword. Wow.
489
00:32:13.599 --> 00:32:17.940
Completely loads of coins raised. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
490
00:32:18.039 --> 00:32:19.880
Oh, you're building that for you, aren't you, Wayne?
491
00:32:20.180 --> 00:32:21.319
I mean, wow.
492
00:32:21.759 --> 00:32:28.500
He's building it for me because he likes my manly smell.
493
00:32:28.519 --> 00:32:29.539
Your manly smell?
494
00:32:29.980 --> 00:32:31.039
Yes. Oh, dizzy.
495
00:32:32.589 --> 00:32:35.130
Chris Langston asked about the Bond film. He said, was
496
00:32:35.170 --> 00:32:40.789
it Goldringer? Yeah, and I'm going to take up Donna
497
00:32:40.930 --> 00:32:43.430
is getting six to nine inches. Did I hear that correctly?
498
00:32:43.529 --> 00:32:47.170
I am getting six to nine inches, Jim, but I'm
499
00:32:47.190 --> 00:32:47.750
a lucky girl.
500
00:32:50.349 --> 00:32:52.349
Stuart? Jesus Christ.
501
00:32:52.970 --> 00:32:53.509
Legend.
502
00:32:53.569 --> 00:32:55.730
He's going to get all sorts of handshakes and pats
503
00:32:55.789 --> 00:32:56.839
on the back next year.
504
00:32:57.319 --> 00:32:59.759
I'm actually, I'm taking the legend as well with a
505
00:32:59.759 --> 00:33:00.279
little coil.
506
00:33:00.319 --> 00:33:02.970
Donna said that he can only fit three pigeons on it.
507
00:33:03.819 --> 00:33:05.559
The other one's flapping his wing on the end.
508
00:33:08.339 --> 00:33:14.029
Just put in the chat, anyone who's there, join Detectorist Dash.
509
00:33:15.190 --> 00:33:15.930
It's in the chat.
510
00:33:16.799 --> 00:33:19.220
I did say something. Low and slow is the best
511
00:33:19.259 --> 00:33:23.250
way with the Manticore, or that is how it works
512
00:33:23.349 --> 00:33:29.049
with Donna. That's John Ritson. Legend 2.
513
00:33:29.049 --> 00:33:30.309
Yeah.
514
00:33:31.289 --> 00:33:36.000
Now, I've got a dilemma. I've got the cars packed
515
00:33:36.019 --> 00:33:39.079
because I'm picking up Julian F and Hart tomorrow morning
516
00:33:39.539 --> 00:33:46.750
at lunchtime. I've got the Manticore. But I took that
517
00:33:46.829 --> 00:33:50.549
last year and it did all right. But the legends
518
00:33:50.609 --> 00:33:52.630
who I do like, so I think.
519
00:33:52.670 --> 00:33:54.039
It's going to be windy.
520
00:33:55.299 --> 00:33:57.380
If those of you with my labs out there, it's
521
00:33:57.420 --> 00:34:00.319
going to be windy. No, I don't like it very much.
522
00:34:00.380 --> 00:34:00.440
No.
523
00:34:00.519 --> 00:34:02.299
See, I will not. So I will not adapt. Oh,
524
00:34:02.339 --> 00:34:05.380
Sandy saw this weekend, Cheryl says.
525
00:34:17.059 --> 00:34:17.760
It is Sandy.
526
00:34:18.199 --> 00:34:21.739
So if I buy a metal detector, it's got to work.
527
00:34:22.199 --> 00:34:26.440
Headphones and everything. So Dave's got the Manticore headphones with
528
00:34:26.519 --> 00:34:29.809
the adapters that stop the wind noise. I will not
529
00:34:29.869 --> 00:34:34.989
buy anything. If someone's buying a machine, nothing against you, Dave,
530
00:34:35.429 --> 00:34:38.429
but the Legend, when it came out, they're not.
531
00:34:40.840 --> 00:34:43.440
Well, probably made them out of wool or something.
532
00:34:43.539 --> 00:34:44.280
No, no, Jordan from.
533
00:34:46.289 --> 00:34:47.769
Night Detective Nation.
534
00:34:47.949 --> 00:34:53.599
Boys are talking. Jordan from Dragon Attack sounds to me fantastic.
535
00:34:55.199 --> 00:34:58.320
Dilek was shocked with me. I got one of the
536
00:34:58.539 --> 00:35:01.900
first Nocta Legends about Christ two and a half, three
537
00:35:01.940 --> 00:35:05.130
years ago. And Dilek was so shocked that I didn't
538
00:35:05.150 --> 00:35:09.050
have the carbon fibre shaft, this coil, that coil, all that.
539
00:35:09.690 --> 00:35:12.929
I bought it. I use it as it is. Yeah.
540
00:35:14.079 --> 00:35:14.599
It works.
541
00:35:14.619 --> 00:35:18.260
It's still a good machine. The Legend 2 is totally different.
542
00:35:19.559 --> 00:35:24.800
But talking of detectors, I'm torn between the Manticore and
543
00:35:24.860 --> 00:35:27.559
the Legend 2. I think I know which one I'm
544
00:35:27.579 --> 00:35:29.300
going to... There's one in the car.
545
00:35:29.139 --> 00:35:29.659
At the moment.
546
00:35:30.119 --> 00:35:33.539
I might switch it out. But more importantly, I've got
547
00:35:33.579 --> 00:35:35.099
the XP Icon.
548
00:35:36.300 --> 00:35:36.440
Ah.
549
00:35:36.800 --> 00:35:37.079
Now.
550
00:35:37.099 --> 00:35:39.099
That could be a secret weapon.
551
00:35:39.139 --> 00:35:40.070
No, no, no.
552
00:35:43.099 --> 00:35:45.780
No, this is where it gets interesting. So I've got
553
00:35:45.840 --> 00:35:51.760
the XP icon, which is the full multi-frequency coil, carbon
554
00:35:51.800 --> 00:36:00.110
fibre shaft, lightweight stem, everything. I've also got the IconX controller,
555
00:36:00.530 --> 00:36:05.469
which can click on and off in seconds. I've also
556
00:36:05.550 --> 00:36:09.760
got the Deus 2 controller. Ah, to make sure they're
557
00:36:09.780 --> 00:36:12.900
not charged. So you've got to do what you're always doing.
558
00:36:16.369 --> 00:36:16.750
Jimmy.
559
00:36:17.230 --> 00:36:22.000
Jelly. Swipe it, swatch it between the two.
560
00:36:22.059 --> 00:36:25.460
Yeah, she was using the Deus 2X or something, and
561
00:36:25.480 --> 00:36:27.059
she ended up setting it up.
562
00:36:27.280 --> 00:36:32.650
Well, I've basically got the Icon, which is pretty good
563
00:36:32.730 --> 00:36:36.250
for the money, and the Icon X, which is very
564
00:36:36.289 --> 00:36:39.409
good for the money, and then I've got the Deus 2,
565
00:36:39.409 --> 00:36:41.809
and I'm going to use all of them this weekend
566
00:36:42.190 --> 00:36:43.320
using the same coil.
567
00:36:43.860 --> 00:36:44.239
However.
568
00:36:45.039 --> 00:36:49.670
I think the Icon X coil is probably not as
569
00:36:49.750 --> 00:36:52.630
good as the Deus 2 coil, but I'm going to
570
00:36:52.650 --> 00:36:55.789
have a bit of fun. So I've got three detectors
571
00:36:56.510 --> 00:37:00.550
in my pocket because they're literally smaller than a fag packet.
572
00:37:01.030 --> 00:37:03.010
So I can switch them in and.
573
00:37:03.090 --> 00:37:04.429
Out in the field. No, they won't. But I do
574
00:37:04.469 --> 00:37:17.699
think it is fun. Sachet of... I've got one. I've
575
00:37:17.719 --> 00:37:18.139
got one.
576
00:37:18.860 --> 00:37:20.880
A small packet of biscuits that you get on the
577
00:37:20.900 --> 00:37:22.340
side of your hotel brew.
578
00:37:23.440 --> 00:37:24.679
Oh, that's about the same size.
579
00:37:24.699 --> 00:37:25.460
Thank you, David.
580
00:37:25.579 --> 00:37:30.840
Anyway, James Barnes said, fast sense with HF2, Donna. Yeah,
581
00:37:30.920 --> 00:37:34.659
I try it. I'm still able to get the depth
582
00:37:34.739 --> 00:37:38.610
and the signals, though, James, and I'm getting a clearer,
583
00:37:39.230 --> 00:37:43.309
quieter performance being in general with the settings that I use.
584
00:37:44.530 --> 00:37:48.280
While you've been chatting, Otis Arms is in, and Gareth
585
00:37:48.300 --> 00:37:51.719
has said, sorry, he's late. Dean McEvaddy said, is W6
586
00:37:51.820 --> 00:37:56.500
stereo back phones keep losing sound from the left ear
587
00:37:56.519 --> 00:37:59.659
until he wiggles the puck? Is it a problem?
588
00:38:00.980 --> 00:38:04.230
No. Why have I got balloons turn up? It's not
589
00:38:04.250 --> 00:38:07.190
Dean McEvaddy, is it? Let's speak properly.
590
00:38:07.269 --> 00:38:10.590
Dean, who's your daddy? Andrew Seed.
591
00:38:13.389 --> 00:38:20.610
Andrew T, Calabash Digger, which he runs an online store.
592
00:38:21.030 --> 00:38:26.969
Nothing against promoting that, but he's not sponsored. But let's
593
00:38:27.070 --> 00:38:32.710
just say I wouldn't take everything he says with, anyway.
594
00:38:33.989 --> 00:38:38.989
The IconX, Calabash Digger has a few issues with the
595
00:38:39.090 --> 00:38:42.599
IconX and says Legend 2 beats it hands down. Well,
596
00:38:42.920 --> 00:38:46.920
it should do because it's double the price almost, Andrew.
597
00:38:48.539 --> 00:38:51.780
And the Legend 2 is one of those machines which
598
00:38:52.039 --> 00:38:56.139
I don't think has been marketed, that's my personal opinion,
599
00:38:57.300 --> 00:39:02.849
in the UK and Europe. The IconX, personally, I would
600
00:39:02.909 --> 00:39:09.110
say is probably not up there on recovery speed with
601
00:39:09.210 --> 00:39:15.659
the IconX. Interface is better. Sorry, Adrian, thank you for
602
00:39:15.679 --> 00:39:18.269
reading my past comment. I had the Legend and opted
603
00:39:18.329 --> 00:39:21.750
for the Manticore after getting back into Lobby. I've heard
604
00:39:21.809 --> 00:39:25.530
about issues in the XP. Yes, so I've had the
605
00:39:25.670 --> 00:39:28.769
XP icon. I'm glad people are talking about the icon.
606
00:39:29.409 --> 00:39:29.829
I'm glad.
607
00:39:30.219 --> 00:39:31.199
To say about that as well.
608
00:39:32.679 --> 00:39:35.539
I've got the icon and the icon X. I've been
609
00:39:35.679 --> 00:39:40.320
using it for, Christ, three or four months. Once the icon,
610
00:39:40.460 --> 00:39:44.900
not the icon X, had an issue and it just rebooted.
611
00:39:46.380 --> 00:39:49.019
I haven't had any problems with it at all. I'd
612
00:39:49.079 --> 00:39:53.139
say it is probably an excellent, well, not probably, it
613
00:39:53.219 --> 00:39:59.369
is an excellent detector to get into. And the interface
614
00:39:59.449 --> 00:40:03.030
is so much better than the Deus and Deus 2.
615
00:40:03.030 --> 00:40:07.309
And I think going forward, this could be a pilot
616
00:40:07.429 --> 00:40:11.710
for the Deus 3 because the control box is lovely
617
00:40:11.769 --> 00:40:17.420
on the Deus 2, but the interface isn't great.
618
00:40:17.619 --> 00:40:20.360
It's small. It's a little bit clunky.
619
00:40:21.440 --> 00:40:23.320
If there's an Icon.
620
00:40:24.719 --> 00:40:27.800
What do you call it after an X or Deus
621
00:40:27.800 --> 00:40:30.699
3 with an IconX control box?
622
00:40:31.460 --> 00:40:31.860
Brilliant.
623
00:40:32.059 --> 00:40:34.210
And one thing I will say, if you've got a
624
00:40:34.250 --> 00:40:39.849
Deus 2, head over to Regton without doubt and get
625
00:40:39.909 --> 00:40:44.789
the new XP connector for your shaft because it's so,
626
00:40:45.170 --> 00:40:49.429
so much better The IconX connector, if you use a
627
00:40:49.510 --> 00:40:54.059
control box, is absolutely brilliant. It don't fall off at all.
628
00:40:54.579 --> 00:40:59.760
I actually threw my Deus 2 or IconX.
629
00:40:59.539 --> 00:41:02.260
Or whatever in the back of my car tonight. Normally,
630
00:41:02.280 --> 00:41:04.599
it would fall off, but it doesn't.
631
00:41:04.880 --> 00:41:07.239
I've never had any problems with my connector.
632
00:41:07.820 --> 00:41:08.570
Hello, Tom.
633
00:41:09.570 --> 00:41:13.769
Sorry, can I just say this? Tom, Otis Arms, Calabash
634
00:41:13.829 --> 00:41:18.090
likes to do everything. Calabash likes to do air tests.
635
00:41:18.349 --> 00:41:22.130
And I've said, yep. He's very loud and vocal.
636
00:41:22.489 --> 00:41:22.889
And I.
637
00:41:25.230 --> 00:41:29.860
Yep, here we go. Andrew T. Calabash uses his test garden,
638
00:41:29.929 --> 00:41:32.960
also a depth test on the beach, with a ring. Yep,
639
00:41:33.360 --> 00:41:35.679
of course he does. And that's why he puts it
640
00:41:35.739 --> 00:41:36.340
on YouTube.
641
00:41:37.960 --> 00:41:38.420
Andrew.
642
00:41:42.880 --> 00:41:44.460
I'd like him to come to England.
643
00:41:44.780 --> 00:41:47.429
Put it that way. and detect on our land.
644
00:41:48.449 --> 00:41:51.289
Talking to people over in England detecting on our land,
645
00:41:51.349 --> 00:41:55.449
Ken Cunliffe's been over the past week with Chris Langston
646
00:41:55.570 --> 00:41:59.110
over from America. So he's found some great items, nice
647
00:41:59.199 --> 00:42:01.780
gold ring, some Amid Coins and such.
648
00:42:01.840 --> 00:42:02.739
What's he doing?
649
00:42:03.159 --> 00:42:04.519
Do you have a hamster?
650
00:42:04.579 --> 00:42:07.519
Do you have a hamster loose? Do you have a
651
00:42:07.539 --> 00:42:08.820
hamster loose?
652
00:42:09.420 --> 00:42:13.099
I'm packing my bag for tomorrow while I remember. No.
653
00:42:13.659 --> 00:42:14.719
Well, don't forget....
654
00:42:16.349 --> 00:42:19.730
Going back to the Icon and the IconX and the
655
00:42:19.789 --> 00:42:25.369
Deus 2, so if you've got a Deus 2 and
656
00:42:25.409 --> 00:42:28.769
you're thinking of getting a backup machine, I would highly
657
00:42:28.869 --> 00:42:33.630
recommend getting an Icon or an IconX because the shaft,
658
00:42:34.150 --> 00:42:38.510
the Icon and the IconX is so lightweight. And to
659
00:42:38.530 --> 00:42:42.909
be able to clip your data, it's almost like you
660
00:42:43.230 --> 00:42:45.619
pull up– go out for a day out with the
661
00:42:45.679 --> 00:42:50.800
family and you you got the icon icon x and
662
00:42:51.400 --> 00:42:53.400
your wife says oh we're only here for an hour
663
00:42:53.480 --> 00:42:56.489
just put the icon or the icon x control box
664
00:42:56.610 --> 00:42:59.929
on to text oh kids are enjoying it we're having
665
00:42:59.949 --> 00:43:02.369
a good day put your days to remote on there
666
00:43:03.130 --> 00:43:07.159
i'm i'm a little bit i'm not concerned but the
667
00:43:07.599 --> 00:43:12.110
icon icon x coil I don't think it's as powerful
668
00:43:12.329 --> 00:43:16.920
as the original Deus 2 coil. But when I say powerful,
669
00:43:17.460 --> 00:43:23.059
it's probably half an inch, an inch. So just to be.
670
00:43:23.019 --> 00:43:23.860
Able to metal detect.
671
00:43:23.920 --> 00:43:27.280
If it's in the ground, you're going to work over it. Yeah,
672
00:43:27.380 --> 00:43:30.820
most people find things around about four, six inches anyway.
673
00:43:31.380 --> 00:43:36.389
So on the subject, on the subject. I think it
674
00:43:36.590 --> 00:43:41.110
is a very good step up for people who have had, say,
675
00:43:41.349 --> 00:43:44.510
working on one of the older entry level machines and
676
00:43:44.670 --> 00:43:47.329
haven't got the budget to get into a dais or
677
00:43:47.349 --> 00:43:50.579
something like that. So John Ritson says, I agree that.
678
00:43:51.940 --> 00:43:53.780
Can you put it back up? Because it's gone now.
679
00:43:54.159 --> 00:43:55.079
Yeah, it's interesting.
680
00:43:55.780 --> 00:43:57.699
I agree that dais is complex.
681
00:43:57.719 --> 00:43:58.360
Yes, it is.
682
00:43:58.420 --> 00:44:01.409
Mind you, Noctu uses hieroglyphics. Yes, they do, which makes
683
00:44:01.469 --> 00:44:03.050
it harder to learn their machines.
684
00:44:03.170 --> 00:44:03.369
True.
685
00:44:03.860 --> 00:44:06.239
I have to admit that I'm a detector tart and
686
00:44:06.260 --> 00:44:09.460
have had many machines over the decades, and so is Adrian.
687
00:44:09.840 --> 00:44:12.239
And you also like cats. I'm amazed that cat can.
688
00:44:12.159 --> 00:44:14.199
Talk as well. Adrian's not a detector tart who's had
689
00:44:14.219 --> 00:44:16.400
loads of thingies. He's a machine tester.
690
00:44:17.099 --> 00:44:20.570
I don't like dogs. I don't like cats. Oh, I
691
00:44:20.610 --> 00:44:22.909
do like cats. I love cats, but I haven't.
692
00:44:22.750 --> 00:44:23.210
Got a cat.
693
00:44:23.670 --> 00:44:24.670
You love one, Merlin.
694
00:44:24.710 --> 00:44:27.949
Everyone loves Merlin. So anyway. It's really interesting. I hadn't
695
00:44:28.010 --> 00:44:29.309
finished talking. Sorry.
696
00:44:30.190 --> 00:44:31.690
No, I'm interjecting.
697
00:44:31.710 --> 00:44:32.429
Okay.
698
00:44:34.599 --> 00:44:37.320
I don't find the days too complicated.
699
00:44:37.340 --> 00:44:42.559
I don't, but that's what I'm used to. And I
700
00:44:42.659 --> 00:44:45.940
kind of, I get used to it in stages. I
701
00:44:45.980 --> 00:44:49.650
take a long time before I start. You said, I
702
00:44:49.650 --> 00:44:53.429
just said.
703
00:44:53.730 --> 00:44:57.210
You just said you, you don't find it confusing.
704
00:44:58.829 --> 00:45:02.000
No, that was what the other guy said. I said,
705
00:45:02.059 --> 00:45:03.039
I was reading his comment.
706
00:45:03.440 --> 00:45:03.599
Yeah.
707
00:45:04.119 --> 00:45:07.449
So my master, the problem that I have with that
708
00:45:07.550 --> 00:45:10.809
is it's just tiny. It's just very small to do
709
00:45:10.889 --> 00:45:13.349
anything in the field, and you've got to know where
710
00:45:13.389 --> 00:45:15.650
you're going with it to kind of get back. You
711
00:45:15.710 --> 00:45:20.420
don't have the bigger screen that you have on the
712
00:45:20.480 --> 00:45:24.719
actual dais, the full dais.
713
00:45:25.780 --> 00:45:31.219
I'd actually say the best interface, user interface, coming from
714
00:45:31.320 --> 00:45:36.650
a print web background and... everything, detectors and everything, the
715
00:45:36.730 --> 00:45:40.389
best user interface that's been launched in the last five
716
00:45:40.449 --> 00:45:43.070
years is the Manticore. It is really good.
717
00:45:43.329 --> 00:45:45.909
Which I don't know. I've only had a short go
718
00:45:45.949 --> 00:45:46.159
on that.
719
00:45:46.699 --> 00:45:49.719
Anyway, going back to the... Well, Dave's got one.
720
00:45:49.920 --> 00:45:50.530
That says it all.
721
00:45:50.559 --> 00:45:52.820
There you go. And if he can use it, you
722
00:45:53.420 --> 00:45:53.699
all can.
723
00:45:53.739 --> 00:45:54.440
Manticore.
724
00:45:54.980 --> 00:45:58.380
The interface on the Manticore is really easy to use.
725
00:45:58.820 --> 00:45:59.500
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
726
00:45:59.539 --> 00:46:01.679
The Manticore, it's just like having a normal.
727
00:46:03.429 --> 00:46:07.409
MyLab 800 with a kid's drawing on it.
728
00:46:07.510 --> 00:46:10.250
It's big, big graphic. Yeah, yeah.
729
00:46:11.829 --> 00:46:14.639
Yeah, but it does put a lot of people digging
730
00:46:14.659 --> 00:46:18.059
off iffy targets that could potentially be good. Anyway, so
731
00:46:18.079 --> 00:46:22.380
what I said was that the Icon or the IconX
732
00:46:22.400 --> 00:46:25.179
would be a good step up for somebody who's got
733
00:46:25.239 --> 00:46:27.980
one of the older entry-level machines and can't afford the
734
00:46:28.019 --> 00:46:31.940
budget of a Dias or a Manticore or something like that. Mr.
735
00:46:31.980 --> 00:46:37.420
Brame has been using the Quest for a very long time.
736
00:46:38.139 --> 00:46:41.329
Their skills have just responded a bit late about the
737
00:46:42.050 --> 00:46:43.070
TLB coin.
738
00:46:43.349 --> 00:46:44.230
Oh, right, it's Vicky.
739
00:46:44.329 --> 00:46:45.650
They're only an hour late.
740
00:46:46.469 --> 00:46:50.030
Yeah, but they say she's probably had half a bottle
741
00:46:50.050 --> 00:46:55.139
of wine already. But anyway, Mr. Stephen Brame has acquired
742
00:46:55.159 --> 00:47:00.599
an IconX, and he is a very thorough guy. He's
743
00:47:00.719 --> 00:47:02.860
gone through a process of testing, testing it in his
744
00:47:02.900 --> 00:47:05.440
garden before he's taken it out. And he's been out
745
00:47:05.460 --> 00:47:07.090
in the field with it. And he said, Donna, I'm
746
00:47:07.119 --> 00:47:10.429
taking it out and smashed out permission. And I know
747
00:47:10.530 --> 00:47:12.690
I've been over and over and over it with the quest.
748
00:47:13.329 --> 00:47:17.550
I know I'm confident I've got everything. And he went
749
00:47:17.750 --> 00:47:22.559
out and amazed himself with what the Iconics found above
750
00:47:22.619 --> 00:47:27.659
his quest. So he's very excited now. He is performed
751
00:47:28.139 --> 00:47:31.380
way better than he thought. And he's not messed about
752
00:47:31.400 --> 00:47:34.380
with it too much. He is going to go now
753
00:47:34.500 --> 00:47:37.909
on his medieval permission that he knows he's been over
754
00:47:37.969 --> 00:47:42.090
with his quest and just see what it can do.
755
00:47:42.190 --> 00:47:45.949
And he's dead excited. But he surprised himself because he
756
00:47:46.050 --> 00:47:49.849
thought he'd got everything. And I think when we just
757
00:47:49.889 --> 00:47:54.090
take a little step up or a little technology step across,
758
00:47:54.989 --> 00:47:57.809
that's what it will do for us. You know, when
759
00:47:57.949 --> 00:48:02.469
technology updates, it moves on. It adds things to your experience.
760
00:48:02.889 --> 00:48:05.329
But we all have to work within our own budget.
761
00:48:05.750 --> 00:48:09.030
You know, and everyone talks about data semantical. And not
762
00:48:09.190 --> 00:48:11.489
everyone can afford that. You know, even when we've been
763
00:48:11.530 --> 00:48:14.829
talking about Legends being a brilliant price, not everyone can
764
00:48:14.889 --> 00:48:19.110
afford that. It's quite interesting to talk about the entry-level
765
00:48:19.130 --> 00:48:23.650
machines sometimes because they're not crap. They are decent machines.
766
00:48:25.510 --> 00:48:25.690
Yep.
767
00:48:26.550 --> 00:48:27.590
Did I make a point?
768
00:48:28.829 --> 00:48:31.550
Yeah. Just to show.
769
00:48:31.570 --> 00:48:33.570
Who's winning?
770
00:48:33.889 --> 00:48:43.139
Who have we got in the wheelchair this week? Jack
771
00:48:43.179 --> 00:48:43.840
Lee Wilson.
772
00:48:43.880 --> 00:48:46.260
Rob Random's actually done a version of this game. It's
773
00:48:46.300 --> 00:48:47.679
called Detectorist Hush.
774
00:48:52.300 --> 00:48:54.079
I'll be here all week. Oh, there we go. So.
775
00:48:57.690 --> 00:48:59.730
Is he bored? Are we boring him, look? Or is
776
00:48:59.750 --> 00:49:02.099
it because we're talking about metal detectors and he's doing
777
00:49:02.119 --> 00:49:02.559
his packing?
778
00:49:02.579 --> 00:49:04.900
No, I keep thinking of things and I know where
779
00:49:04.920 --> 00:49:07.099
they are, but I can't find them.
780
00:49:07.239 --> 00:49:11.940
I'll have a thing called a list, Dave. It's very inclusive,
781
00:49:11.960 --> 00:49:13.090
is what I was going to say.
782
00:49:14.269 --> 00:49:20.809
It's very multicultural tonight. And someone, Jackie... W, is in
783
00:49:20.829 --> 00:49:23.989
a wheelchair. She's spinning away.
784
00:49:24.670 --> 00:49:28.019
Jacqueline's already. I keep calling her Jacqueline Wilson. Sorry, Jacqueline.
785
00:49:28.039 --> 00:49:29.179
She's Jacqueline Wilson.
786
00:49:29.320 --> 00:49:31.519
She's made any Tracy Beaker boots.
787
00:49:32.940 --> 00:49:37.099
She's already at Middleton. She said it's just started raining.
788
00:49:37.139 --> 00:49:40.880
So we're going to get some. which will be excellent.
789
00:49:40.940 --> 00:49:41.239
Oh, good.
790
00:49:41.639 --> 00:49:44.579
But we are also expecting 40 mile an hour winds
791
00:49:44.659 --> 00:49:48.619
on Saturday afternoon, which is going to be a bit traumatic.
792
00:49:48.699 --> 00:49:50.519
It's going to be a bit chilly and 40 miles
793
00:49:50.559 --> 00:49:54.960
an hour. Yes, Derek, good things about the IconX, definitely.
794
00:49:55.719 --> 00:49:58.949
Talk to Stephen. Stephen's having an amazing time.
795
00:49:58.969 --> 00:50:06.900
I honestly, build quality, I can't find anything wrong with it.
796
00:50:07.409 --> 00:50:10.090
And the biggest thing, if you've got a Deus or
797
00:50:10.170 --> 00:50:16.099
a Deus 2, the IconX, the snap-on chargeable connector. Oh
798
00:50:16.139 --> 00:50:17.639
my God, it's a godsend.
799
00:50:18.219 --> 00:50:20.559
But that's what I used to love about the, I
800
00:50:20.760 --> 00:50:26.010
absolutely used to love that about charging the Equinox. Literally,
801
00:50:26.530 --> 00:50:29.510
magnetic catch, snap-on, go.
802
00:50:29.530 --> 00:50:30.369
Awesome.
803
00:50:31.590 --> 00:50:33.409
And a plug on the end of the cable.
804
00:50:34.329 --> 00:50:38.860
Yeah, so multiple times, I've said to my mate, we're
805
00:50:38.900 --> 00:50:43.460
going to Tekton tomorrow or Saturday or Sunday, the weekend,
806
00:50:44.039 --> 00:50:48.000
and get that clamp. It's like an operation on a
807
00:50:48.440 --> 00:50:50.539
frog at school. Put it on.
808
00:50:50.559 --> 00:50:51.860
I think it's charging.
809
00:50:52.119 --> 00:50:55.070
Go to bed. Get up in the morning. Unplug it.
810
00:50:55.289 --> 00:50:55.969
Get in the car.
811
00:50:56.070 --> 00:50:57.829
Go there. Calls flat.
812
00:50:58.489 --> 00:51:03.469
I've not done it. Whereas this new slide-on one is brilliant.
813
00:51:03.889 --> 00:51:06.159
It's a bit like it's the same. I think it's
814
00:51:06.239 --> 00:51:10.880
actually the same charger as the HF2 coil donner.
815
00:51:11.119 --> 00:51:13.010
You've got the lead for that, haven't you?
816
00:51:13.099 --> 00:51:16.880
Yeah, you don't. The one that I've got. Yeah, I
817
00:51:16.940 --> 00:51:19.000
don't like it. I don't like the fact that you
818
00:51:19.019 --> 00:51:21.960
have to take it apart. I could do without that.
819
00:51:22.820 --> 00:51:24.400
Wayne Rollins is asking a very.
820
00:51:25.699 --> 00:51:26.400
Sorry, Dave.
821
00:51:28.619 --> 00:51:34.079
Regarding the XP Deus charging clampy clamp clamp.
822
00:51:34.099 --> 00:51:35.380
Mm-hmm.
823
00:51:35.860 --> 00:51:38.800
Spoke to Marcus, he went, did you charge it flat?
824
00:51:39.239 --> 00:51:40.099
And I said, yes.
825
00:51:40.139 --> 00:51:43.199
He said, because when you charge it flat, sometimes it
826
00:51:43.239 --> 00:51:45.489
just pushes it away a little bit and doesn't get
827
00:51:45.530 --> 00:51:46.820
that connection.
828
00:51:46.340 --> 00:51:50.829
To charge it. Exactly what happened to me. Yeah.
829
00:51:51.289 --> 00:51:55.349
Anyway, they've resolved that with the Icon and the IconX.
830
00:51:56.210 --> 00:51:59.869
James is saying the next one will be Deus.
831
00:52:04.630 --> 00:52:04.849
Sorry?
832
00:52:09.840 --> 00:52:11.519
James said Deus X3.
833
00:52:11.760 --> 00:52:16.940
Yeah. Looking forward to that.
834
00:52:18.519 --> 00:52:22.619
What's your favourite programme on the Deus 2, Adrian? I
835
00:52:22.679 --> 00:52:28.199
mainly use Sensitive FT. Well, Simon Hadlow, I'm glad you
836
00:52:28.219 --> 00:52:32.000
brought that programme up. I use the XY screen all
837
00:52:32.099 --> 00:52:32.579
the time.
838
00:52:34.340 --> 00:52:36.889
And that's one thing. You don't use the screen? You
839
00:52:36.929 --> 00:52:42.309
only listen? I see. I've had both of yous off tonight.
840
00:52:42.849 --> 00:52:47.309
No, but the XY screen is no numbers, no.
841
00:52:47.789 --> 00:52:48.869
Ferris, non-Ferris.
842
00:52:50.090 --> 00:52:55.500
I use the XY screen, and my main go-to program
843
00:52:55.679 --> 00:52:59.760
is the custom one I got for my permissions. However,
844
00:53:00.239 --> 00:53:08.690
if I'm going for this weekend, I'll probably use– Fast equivalent.
845
00:53:09.389 --> 00:53:10.369
So, yeah.
846
00:53:12.449 --> 00:53:17.469
So talking about entry-level machines, Matt Kent said Zoe's found
847
00:53:17.489 --> 00:53:19.849
her second gold with the 560, Adrian.
848
00:53:22.750 --> 00:53:26.369
The Vanquish 560, brilliant.
849
00:53:27.010 --> 00:53:28.269
Machine. Really, really good.
850
00:53:28.409 --> 00:53:32.960
I gave mine away to Nick Berry, his son, actually,
851
00:53:33.199 --> 00:53:35.949
last week. I don't think I told you that, did I?
852
00:53:36.400 --> 00:53:38.000
I'll give him a lollipop.
853
00:53:38.119 --> 00:53:41.139
Matt will send, if you say yes, please, Matt's going
854
00:53:41.159 --> 00:53:43.550
to send you over a picture. He said it's one
855
00:53:43.590 --> 00:53:47.030
of those spinning matrix seal fobs with the double-headed eagles
856
00:53:47.230 --> 00:53:51.769
on it. Yes, please, Matt. That'll be grand. Oh, Cheryl's
857
00:53:51.809 --> 00:53:54.610
going to see you tomorrow. And you, darling.
858
00:53:54.639 --> 00:53:57.760
Why don't you say that?
859
00:53:57.780 --> 00:54:02.360
Yes, Cheryl, if you said sorry, Cheryl, hopefully see you tomorrow.
860
00:54:02.380 --> 00:54:05.480
You will. You're coming. You have to do the thing.
861
00:54:06.869 --> 00:54:10.880
My house smells of warm dust because the heating's on.
862
00:54:13.420 --> 00:54:15.559
So you need to dust behind your radiators then.
863
00:54:15.579 --> 00:54:18.760
What heating have you got?
864
00:54:20.610 --> 00:54:25.429
Have you got radiators? Have you got radiators?
865
00:54:26.590 --> 00:54:26.889
Yeah.
866
00:54:27.650 --> 00:54:29.070
You don't dust behind your radiators?
867
00:54:29.090 --> 00:54:29.210
Yes.
868
00:54:32.489 --> 00:54:34.690
No, blokes don't know there's a behind anything.
869
00:54:34.809 --> 00:54:43.130
Anyway, we've got... Just to share for the Detectorist Dash,
870
00:54:43.670 --> 00:54:48.030
how many people have got in there? We've got... Have
871
00:54:48.050 --> 00:54:49.469
we got two in wheelchairs?
872
00:54:49.849 --> 00:54:50.070
No.
873
00:54:51.719 --> 00:54:58.079
Carl Willis is in there. Mo Chara. Ben Dover. Jeremy Beadle.
874
00:54:58.360 --> 00:54:59.400
Is that Nick Berry?
875
00:55:00.340 --> 00:55:00.559
No.
876
00:55:05.659 --> 00:55:10.500
Oh, before I forget, if you're not watching, Katie, who
877
00:55:10.539 --> 00:55:14.860
won last week, your prize will be going out.
878
00:55:17.349 --> 00:55:17.929
Next week.
879
00:55:18.030 --> 00:55:20.550
Sorry for the delay, but you have got a prize.
880
00:55:20.730 --> 00:55:24.789
It is coming, Katie, who won last week. So, yeah,
881
00:55:24.969 --> 00:55:29.630
all good stuff. Yeah. I just need to pop to...
882
00:55:30.409 --> 00:55:34.630
the office next door to talk to the production team, Dave.
883
00:55:35.590 --> 00:55:38.969
Oh, wow, look at that. So here's Matt Kent's, or
884
00:55:39.010 --> 00:55:41.250
it might be Zoe's because I didn't read the message.
885
00:55:41.789 --> 00:55:47.090
That's beautifully decorative. And he says it spins. Oh, it's that. Oh,
886
00:55:47.630 --> 00:55:53.619
that's nuts. That's nuts. That would be like Russian. That
887
00:55:53.659 --> 00:55:56.840
would be like Russian jewellery. It's definitely continental.
888
00:55:57.760 --> 00:55:59.900
Yes, it is. Liverpudlian, that is.
889
00:56:00.570 --> 00:56:03.530
Double-headed eagle. No, that's not a live bird.
890
00:56:03.630 --> 00:56:06.570
It's not. It's a bloody live bird with two heads.
891
00:56:07.110 --> 00:56:12.440
All right, it's from Liverpool. It's from Liverpool. Wow.
892
00:56:13.460 --> 00:56:15.380
After a couple of buttons, I wanted to finish on
893
00:56:15.500 --> 00:56:18.659
a nice target if possible.
894
00:56:19.480 --> 00:56:26.480
I just found this. I don't know if it's medieval
895
00:56:26.739 --> 00:56:29.239
or older. I'm guessing medieval.
896
00:56:32.409 --> 00:56:36.179
I want to see what it looks like underneath. What's
897
00:56:36.239 --> 00:56:40.099
really amazing about it is when you turn it over.
898
00:56:39.860 --> 00:56:45.380
It's still got the pin which.
899
00:56:44.539 --> 00:56:45.599
I cannot believe.
900
00:56:45.820 --> 00:56:47.380
It's still intact.
901
00:56:49.659 --> 00:56:51.670
I've never seen that design on one before though.
902
00:56:52.530 --> 00:56:55.949
Wow. I think there's a bit of enamel there. It's
903
00:56:55.969 --> 00:56:57.070
lovely that Matt.
904
00:56:57.329 --> 00:56:58.090
Stunning.
905
00:56:58.170 --> 00:56:59.590
Thank you for sending.
906
00:56:59.909 --> 00:57:00.510
What a last hole.
907
00:57:02.880 --> 00:57:04.360
Oh, mind-blowing.
908
00:57:04.539 --> 00:57:06.380
Last holes are always the best holes.
909
00:57:06.920 --> 00:57:10.539
Do you know what? Is it because you stop or
910
00:57:10.599 --> 00:57:13.440
is it because you're not concentrating? You just kind of
911
00:57:13.500 --> 00:57:16.099
switch off and it's your zen that says, oh, I
912
00:57:16.139 --> 00:57:18.760
can be bothered to dig that one. You know, you're
913
00:57:19.039 --> 00:57:22.820
kind of off digging because you're tired and you really
914
00:57:22.860 --> 00:57:25.019
want to get off the field, but you keep swinging
915
00:57:25.039 --> 00:57:26.880
in case you hear a target and then something just
916
00:57:26.960 --> 00:57:30.360
makes you stop. I've found a few things like that.
917
00:57:30.409 --> 00:57:36.840
I've found that... Gilded top of hawks. You know the
918
00:57:36.889 --> 00:57:39.429
little caps they put on a hawk when they're flying hawks?
919
00:57:40.010 --> 00:57:40.250
Yes.
920
00:57:40.949 --> 00:57:44.190
Yeah, I've found one of those, and I've also found...
921
00:57:43.750 --> 00:57:45.010
You mean a hawk.
922
00:57:46.349 --> 00:57:46.530
Cap?
923
00:57:46.570 --> 00:57:48.690
Well, they put the little hood over the hawks, don't they,
924
00:57:48.869 --> 00:57:49.789
when they're doing falconry?
925
00:57:50.329 --> 00:57:51.530
A hawk hood.
926
00:57:52.610 --> 00:57:54.210
A hawk hood. I don't know what they call them.
927
00:57:54.230 --> 00:57:56.929
They'll have a medieval name of some description.
928
00:57:56.949 --> 00:57:59.250
Hawk hood. Hawk hood.
929
00:57:59.309 --> 00:58:06.739
And I have... Also found the shield of the Verval
930
00:58:07.039 --> 00:58:09.949
as well. Didn't find the ring on the Verval, but
931
00:58:09.989 --> 00:58:11.510
I found the shield that came with the ring.
932
00:58:12.050 --> 00:58:15.989
I like finding the Hawks ring. Hawks ring. I thought
933
00:58:16.010 --> 00:58:17.670
a Verval... I haven't got a Hawks ring. I thought
934
00:58:17.690 --> 00:58:19.710
a Verval was something that lived in flour.
935
00:58:21.909 --> 00:58:22.710
That's a weevil.
936
00:58:23.610 --> 00:58:24.010
All right.
937
00:58:25.920 --> 00:58:29.550
A flour Verval. Ah, fantastic finds. And you are welcome
938
00:58:29.610 --> 00:58:31.889
to send in finds to us. All you've got to
939
00:58:31.929 --> 00:58:39.949
do is, where do they send it? www.bd6nshow.com. Yes, darling.
940
00:58:41.880 --> 00:58:45.820
So, as of next week, on our website, we're going
941
00:58:45.840 --> 00:58:51.559
to have, Dave doesn't know this, a find submission page. So,
942
00:58:51.800 --> 00:58:55.300
if you've got a video of you finding something interesting
943
00:58:55.610 --> 00:58:59.159
or a find you're not sure about you can upload
944
00:58:59.260 --> 00:59:03.280
it and we will share it on the show so
945
00:59:03.420 --> 00:59:07.250
as of next week go to our website I'm.
946
00:59:07.170 --> 00:59:09.349
Pretty sure you'll be also able to send in our
947
00:59:09.429 --> 00:59:11.360
other favourite type of video.
948
00:59:11.380 --> 00:59:16.699
Won't you? The What Went Wrong video. Oh, yeah.
949
00:59:16.719 --> 00:59:18.969
We need some of those.
950
00:59:19.090 --> 00:59:21.670
A hawk's hood is known as a capel.
951
00:59:22.909 --> 00:59:23.690
Ah, there you see it.
952
00:59:23.710 --> 00:59:27.150
Yes, it is. It's interesting that you say that.
953
00:59:30.090 --> 00:59:33.210
Gilded liver birds will be from a fob. So yes,
954
00:59:33.289 --> 00:59:34.289
Nick knew that.
955
00:59:35.090 --> 00:59:37.889
And it's nine grams. Nine grams.
956
00:59:38.250 --> 00:59:40.369
Oh, you've got to check for the rest of it.
957
00:59:40.989 --> 00:59:42.449
Surely the rest of it's out there.
958
00:59:43.699 --> 00:59:45.619
Just turned the heating off.
959
00:59:46.280 --> 00:59:51.079
Yes. So one thing David brought up, which is something
960
00:59:51.119 --> 00:59:54.800
we've been dying to get on the show for years
961
00:59:54.900 --> 00:59:59.300
and years, haven't we, Dave, is funny moments in metal detecting.
962
00:59:59.480 --> 00:59:59.719
Yes.
963
01:00:01.639 --> 01:00:06.519
So in lockdown, I did one with my mate James
964
01:00:06.639 --> 01:00:08.900
where we dug a hole. Do you remember this? We
965
01:00:08.940 --> 01:00:11.900
dug a hole, and there was a toilet roll in there.
966
01:00:11.920 --> 01:00:14.800
Do you remember in COVID when there was a shortage
967
01:00:14.860 --> 01:00:17.690
of toilet rolls? And I found a toilet roll. So
968
01:00:18.110 --> 01:00:22.530
we're after funny detecting videos, whether it's your mate falling
969
01:00:22.590 --> 01:00:26.389
in a ditch. Because you go on TikTok, YouTube, and
970
01:00:26.429 --> 01:00:28.510
all that, and you see, oh, this is the best
971
01:00:28.590 --> 01:00:32.440
metal detector, and I found this and that. We want
972
01:00:32.460 --> 01:00:34.960
to bring a bit of humour into the hobby, you.
973
01:00:34.889 --> 01:00:35.889
Know, because.
974
01:00:37.150 --> 01:00:40.610
HF2 coil on the Deus 2 and the original HF
975
01:00:40.670 --> 01:00:42.949
coil on the original Deus.
976
01:00:43.989 --> 01:00:47.659
Looks like it's going to rain, so just.
977
01:00:52.599 --> 01:00:56.900
Oh, bloody thing's rampant! It's rampant!
978
01:00:56.960 --> 01:00:57.300
Oh, fuck!
979
01:01:17.070 --> 01:01:17.949
We need some of that.
980
01:01:18.829 --> 01:01:27.750
Do you know what makes me laugh more about that video?
981
01:01:28.269 --> 01:01:31.690
We left the mask in the forest. So the farmer
982
01:01:31.730 --> 01:01:35.070
or the betas or this Shooters found that and thought
983
01:01:35.090 --> 01:01:37.550
it was some sort of gay dogging spot or something.
984
01:01:37.989 --> 01:01:41.500
The trouble with coming on digs with people and the
985
01:01:41.559 --> 01:01:42.500
dance to where they're.
986
01:01:42.380 --> 01:01:46.719
Going is you fall over in a ditch and you're
987
01:01:46.739 --> 01:01:49.199
climbing barbed wire fences.
988
01:01:49.340 --> 01:01:50.019
Dicky eye.
989
01:01:50.239 --> 01:01:51.920
I've just gone down into the brambles.
990
01:01:52.980 --> 01:01:53.699
Fuck you now.
991
01:01:55.389 --> 01:02:00.070
Good job you had your seat to pull yourself up on.
992
01:02:00.949 --> 01:02:02.400
That's what it's all about and.
993
01:02:03.199 --> 01:02:07.760
To be honest, we all go out detecting and when you.
994
01:02:18.460 --> 01:02:20.780
It's not as funny as the bees after it.
995
01:02:21.639 --> 01:02:23.280
I'm not sure why I filmed this. I should have
996
01:02:23.320 --> 01:02:27.179
run from the start. A hole full of wasps and
997
01:02:27.199 --> 01:02:30.400
that's me sprinting down the hill. And here's one of
998
01:02:30.460 --> 01:02:35.519
the psychotic little beasties attacking me again. Ended up with
999
01:02:36.300 --> 01:02:39.920
five or six wasp things for my trouble.
1000
01:02:45.059 --> 01:03:05.360
That's what we want. I love the way he broke
1001
01:03:05.380 --> 01:03:07.480
his wrist after that.
1002
01:03:07.519 --> 01:03:10.539
What do you mean you love it? It's really sad
1003
01:03:10.579 --> 01:03:12.119
that he broke his wrist after that.
1004
01:03:22.170 --> 01:03:44.880
Yeah, so I thought about it. Donna, no way is
1005
01:03:44.900 --> 01:03:47.079
that spilt drink. It literally was.
1006
01:03:47.219 --> 01:04:14.250
It's... Oh, my God, the memories from all those videos
1007
01:04:14.389 --> 01:04:14.849
are brilliant.
1008
01:04:14.869 --> 01:04:15.889
I'm actually crying.
1009
01:04:15.929 --> 01:04:19.170
I think I must be tired. Yeah, it's very funny tonight.
1010
01:04:20.309 --> 01:04:24.500
I think people would enjoy that. So if you've got
1011
01:04:24.519 --> 01:04:26.519
a clip... Push it up.
1012
01:04:32.349 --> 01:04:35.210
You didn't pay for that, did you? Yeah, I did.
1013
01:04:35.269 --> 01:04:36.429
Oh, what a waste of money.
1014
01:04:36.469 --> 01:04:38.019
See? Two seconds. Beat that.
1015
01:04:38.059 --> 01:04:42.699
That cost me £ 2.
1016
01:04:38.699 --> 01:05:02.539
50. Two and a half grams worth of damage on
1017
01:05:02.559 --> 01:05:03.860
my car that night.
1018
01:05:05.699 --> 01:05:08.179
It's fucking gold. It's got gold.
1019
01:05:08.760 --> 01:05:09.500
It's gold.
1020
01:05:11.820 --> 01:05:15.559
That was me, yeah.
1021
01:05:15.619 --> 01:05:18.940
If that's TC sprinting, imagine how fast he's jogging.
1022
01:05:18.980 --> 01:05:36.139
Yeah, I know, exactly. Oh, digger's stash. Fucking love cake. Dave,
1023
01:05:36.159 --> 01:05:38.420
have you got the one where.
1024
01:05:39.739 --> 01:05:44.179
If you're listening to this on podcast, honestly, we're watching
1025
01:05:44.219 --> 01:05:46.989
funny videos. So you do need to look at it
1026
01:05:47.090 --> 01:05:47.530
on YouTube.
1027
01:05:47.550 --> 01:05:48.230
I've got that one.
1028
01:05:49.150 --> 01:05:52.469
My favourite one is when... Oh, God, it was about
1029
01:05:52.570 --> 01:05:55.550
six years ago, wasn't it, Dave? No, five years ago.
1030
01:05:55.570 --> 01:05:57.989
We were detectable.
1031
01:05:57.989 --> 01:05:59.170
19 or 20?
1032
01:05:59.170 --> 01:05:59.329
No.
1033
01:05:59.369 --> 01:05:59.730
Yeah.
1034
01:05:59.789 --> 01:06:07.269
First one was 2018, the first one I did. So
1035
01:06:08.789 --> 01:06:11.530
Dave had been drinking pineapple rum all night.
1036
01:06:12.429 --> 01:06:15.309
Adrian, it was the morning after that. It was the
1037
01:06:15.349 --> 01:06:18.360
morning after the rodeo. Yeah.
1038
01:06:19.139 --> 01:06:21.840
And I went up to Dave at nine o'clock in
1039
01:06:21.860 --> 01:06:24.619
the morning and he was still in bed asleep. And
1040
01:06:24.639 --> 01:06:26.119
I went in a northern accent.
1041
01:06:26.139 --> 01:06:29.420
I went, David, David, it's time to get up for work.
1042
01:06:30.099 --> 01:06:32.340
He thought it was his mum, bless him, who'd been
1043
01:06:32.380 --> 01:06:33.820
dead for like five years.
1044
01:06:34.400 --> 01:06:37.719
He shot out of his bed. And I think he said,
1045
01:06:38.079 --> 01:06:41.880
all right, mum.
1046
01:06:42.539 --> 01:06:45.690
But yeah, we've got good memories. And I think we should.
1047
01:06:46.090 --> 01:06:50.230
So anyone who's watching tonight, next week, it will be
1048
01:06:50.269 --> 01:06:53.710
a big thing on the homepage. Upload your videos or
1049
01:06:53.769 --> 01:06:59.800
your photos of funny times. Because this hobby... We all
1050
01:06:59.880 --> 01:07:02.840
enjoy metal detecting. We all like unearthing history. But at
1051
01:07:02.860 --> 01:07:05.300
the end of the day, we all like having a laugh.
1052
01:07:05.619 --> 01:07:09.369
And everyone I've met in the hobby, we.
1053
01:07:09.320 --> 01:07:12.909
All have a laugh. So share it with everyone. And also,
1054
01:07:13.110 --> 01:07:15.670
if it comes on our show, it will be history.
1055
01:07:15.989 --> 01:07:21.590
So when you're dead, your children, great-grandchildren can find it.
1056
01:07:21.610 --> 01:07:24.289
No, but there are mistakes that you've made.
1057
01:07:25.329 --> 01:07:27.070
How's Detectorist Dash going?
1058
01:07:27.110 --> 01:07:28.110
Matt Kent has.
1059
01:07:28.010 --> 01:07:31.570
Sent you one, by the way. Dave, Matt Kent sent
1060
01:07:31.590 --> 01:07:32.349
you a funny video.
1061
01:07:33.219 --> 01:07:33.489
I know.
1062
01:07:33.929 --> 01:07:38.619
Someone's in a witch's hat. Stephen Bryan is in a
1063
01:07:38.639 --> 01:07:39.519
witch's hat.
1064
01:07:39.800 --> 01:07:42.280
Stephen Bryan's walking out in a witch's hat.
1065
01:07:42.960 --> 01:07:46.070
You didn't answer the question, is there no prize tonight?
1066
01:07:46.739 --> 01:07:47.670
Just for fun tonight.
1067
01:07:50.289 --> 01:07:59.110
Yeah, because, yeah. What's that? Ken's just sent it.
1068
01:07:59.289 --> 01:08:00.309
It's Gandalf there.
1069
01:08:02.650 --> 01:08:14.619
No, it's not. It's Thorin Oakenshield. Oh, is that? Yes,
1070
01:08:14.960 --> 01:08:18.380
from the Muppets. Animal. Is it monster?
1071
01:08:18.819 --> 01:08:19.140
Animal.
1072
01:08:19.279 --> 01:08:20.380
No, not monster. I'm worried.
1073
01:08:23.729 --> 01:08:30.899
Tonight, because Sooty and Sweet were down here. They've gone.
1074
01:08:33.220 --> 01:08:36.819
Because I snuck in and stole.
1075
01:08:38.079 --> 01:08:38.640
Them.
1076
01:08:39.600 --> 01:08:43.100
I think they're in the kitchen boiling winkles and picking them.
1077
01:08:43.800 --> 01:08:48.380
Well, I hope they're not boiling winkles. I want somebody's
1078
01:08:48.399 --> 01:08:51.159
view on this. Probably Nick Berry would have a view
1079
01:08:51.220 --> 01:08:51.539
on this.
1080
01:08:53.189 --> 01:08:54.189
It's a bit of lead, Donna.
1081
01:08:54.970 --> 01:08:57.000
It is a bit of lead, but it's a very
1082
01:08:57.100 --> 01:09:01.140
deliberately shapen bit of lead. Can you see... It's sort
1083
01:09:01.199 --> 01:09:02.119
of S-shaped.
1084
01:09:02.140 --> 01:09:04.340
Donna, it's a bit of lead.
1085
01:09:04.460 --> 01:09:06.500
When you go in a field, when they're rumbling along
1086
01:09:06.520 --> 01:09:07.319
with everything else.
1087
01:09:07.359 --> 01:09:09.020
No, because it's pointy.
1088
01:09:09.039 --> 01:09:12.380
And it's not ugly. It's not ugly on it. It's
1089
01:09:12.439 --> 01:09:13.539
just some marks.
1090
01:09:13.619 --> 01:09:16.960
It's chiselled into right there.
1091
01:09:16.979 --> 01:09:17.439
Fishing white.
1092
01:09:17.899 --> 01:09:18.659
Fishing white.
1093
01:09:19.010 --> 01:09:21.670
You can see it. Look, the Roman numeral V.
1094
01:09:21.869 --> 01:09:24.890
It's not a Roman numeral V. It's just a bloody marking.
1095
01:09:24.909 --> 01:09:27.409
It's got serifs on it. So when you get the
1096
01:09:27.470 --> 01:09:29.210
light on it, you can actually see it properly. It's
1097
01:09:29.229 --> 01:09:32.250
that side. There you go. It's actually got, if you look,
1098
01:09:32.770 --> 01:09:34.350
I don't know if I can get the light right
1099
01:09:34.380 --> 01:09:37.229
on it now. Believe me, it's got a stamp. There
1100
01:09:37.260 --> 01:09:40.560
you go. It's got a stamped in Roman numeral V.
1101
01:09:41.079 --> 01:09:41.640
No, it hasn't.
1102
01:09:42.500 --> 01:09:45.420
Yes, it has. It's got serifs on it.
1103
01:09:45.479 --> 01:09:46.659
Adrian, have you got me back in here?
1104
01:09:48.579 --> 01:09:53.699
Lead coprolite. Thank you, Matt Knob. Do you know what
1105
01:09:53.720 --> 01:09:57.060
a coprolite is? Do you know what a coprolite is?
1106
01:09:58.039 --> 01:09:59.619
Donna, don't call him a knob.
1107
01:10:00.039 --> 01:10:02.100
No, but he knows what a coprolite is.
1108
01:10:02.159 --> 01:10:03.930
It's a light that you have up in the cop
1109
01:10:03.979 --> 01:10:04.619
in Anfield.
1110
01:10:05.909 --> 01:10:09.510
No, it's fossilised animal poo.
1111
01:10:10.750 --> 01:10:13.649
Ploughman's numerals. Ploughman's numerals.
1112
01:10:13.810 --> 01:10:15.050
Oh, that's interesting, Matt.
1113
01:10:15.090 --> 01:10:17.819
What's Ploughman's numerals? Yes, Ploughman's numerals.
1114
01:10:17.840 --> 01:10:19.119
Yeah, I've never heard of that.
1115
01:10:20.079 --> 01:10:21.319
I've got no idea.
1116
01:10:21.420 --> 01:10:24.500
It's basically how much it costs when you're at Ploughman's lunch.
1117
01:10:24.579 --> 01:10:25.539
It comes in numerals.
1118
01:10:26.199 --> 01:10:27.739
It comes in a bit of lead. It's how they
1119
01:10:27.779 --> 01:10:30.949
paid for it. I'm intrigued by that. I find a
1120
01:10:31.029 --> 01:10:33.529
lot of lead. I find tens of pounds of lead.
1121
01:10:34.170 --> 01:10:37.130
It's not a Ford Focus. No, tens of pounds. It's
1122
01:10:37.170 --> 01:10:40.970
not a pike fishing lure, Jim. It's not a love token,
1123
01:10:41.029 --> 01:10:44.289
even though it's deliberately bent into an S shape.
1124
01:10:47.579 --> 01:10:48.779
Better laugh.
1125
01:10:49.899 --> 01:10:54.260
Was that a slug or a dog shit? No, it wasn't.
1126
01:10:54.359 --> 01:10:55.399
Who said that?
1127
01:10:56.500 --> 01:11:03.449
Sorry, I think, so 1970s dog poo was always white.
1128
01:11:03.649 --> 01:11:04.189
Yeah.
1129
01:11:04.229 --> 01:11:08.390
And that's because they fed their dogs raw meat.
1130
01:11:08.430 --> 01:11:08.829
Bones.
1131
01:11:09.550 --> 01:11:10.649
Dogs have bones then.
1132
01:11:10.670 --> 01:11:11.270
They don't now.
1133
01:11:11.720 --> 01:11:13.569
Yeah. They've got a lot of calcium.
1134
01:11:15.380 --> 01:11:15.600
Yeah.
1135
01:11:16.060 --> 01:11:19.699
Anyway, Dick and Stash has got five minutes before we
1136
01:11:19.760 --> 01:11:20.739
announce the winner.
1137
01:11:21.720 --> 01:11:24.779
Kim, I think it was Kim. Was it Kim?
1138
01:11:25.659 --> 01:11:29.680
Katie, your prize is coming from last week. I'm a
1139
01:11:29.699 --> 01:11:32.380
bit delayed on it, but it's all good.
1140
01:11:32.500 --> 01:11:36.020
Now, that's deliberate. That's not my mistake. That's not old.
1141
01:11:36.579 --> 01:11:39.949
What is it? Look, it's got a loop at either end.
1142
01:11:39.970 --> 01:11:42.850
It's copper. It's twisted.
1143
01:11:42.869 --> 01:11:50.109
Oh, you know what that is? I don't know what
1144
01:11:50.210 --> 01:11:50.649
it is.
1145
01:11:51.350 --> 01:11:55.470
It's modern, but I couldn't do it. What's that? 1987
1146
01:11:55.470 --> 01:11:57.300
boy in physics board.
1147
01:11:58.859 --> 01:12:01.260
Yeah, absolutely.
1148
01:12:01.539 --> 01:12:03.439
You went round it like that and you weren't allowed
1149
01:12:03.460 --> 01:12:04.600
to touch it or it would buzz.
1150
01:12:05.359 --> 01:12:06.079
That is something.
1151
01:12:06.100 --> 01:12:08.479
Anyone who Look at that.
1152
01:12:09.340 --> 01:12:12.100
So we all find bits of odd-shaping things, and I've
1153
01:12:12.140 --> 01:12:13.220
got three odd-shaping things.
1154
01:12:13.279 --> 01:12:16.199
Why are we having a lovely conversation? You're showing your tot.
1155
01:12:16.979 --> 01:12:21.000
Because I said bring some interesting stuff, and you two haven't.
1156
01:12:21.840 --> 01:12:26.829
Well, more importantly, I've got a number of things. Adrian's interesting.
1157
01:12:27.630 --> 01:12:28.500
Look at the end of it.
1158
01:12:28.510 --> 01:12:31.010
I found that. I found that in the field.
1159
01:12:31.710 --> 01:12:35.430
Oh, now if you find that, you know that is granite.
1160
01:12:36.859 --> 01:12:40.520
That will have a Roman association. Granite's not natural to
1161
01:12:40.539 --> 01:12:41.060
where you are.
1162
01:12:41.300 --> 01:12:41.800
Crystal.
1163
01:12:42.140 --> 01:12:43.619
Look at that.
1164
01:12:43.640 --> 01:12:46.819
That was in one of my fields. More importantly, we
1165
01:12:46.840 --> 01:12:50.399
were talking about tilby pennies tonight, and I've got an
1166
01:12:50.640 --> 01:12:54.520
absolute minter of one, which I've been... Dave's got an
1167
01:12:54.539 --> 01:12:59.319
albisoyl stick. I've got an absolute minter, which I've heard
1168
01:12:59.399 --> 01:13:01.970
is worth a lot of money, and I can't find it.
1169
01:13:03.130 --> 01:13:03.250
Oh.
1170
01:13:03.329 --> 01:13:04.909
So, yeah.
1171
01:13:04.989 --> 01:13:09.630
It'll be somewhere... No, look closer. So this is not
1172
01:13:09.829 --> 01:13:14.130
a potato sack twist. It's not baling wire to go
1173
01:13:14.189 --> 01:13:19.880
on paper bags. It's really stiff. And what it is,
1174
01:13:19.899 --> 01:13:23.199
this comes from a Saxon site, and it's actually what
1175
01:13:23.239 --> 01:13:26.460
you would have hung a lamp on. So you would
1176
01:13:26.479 --> 01:13:28.229
have hung a lamp on that. You see the little
1177
01:13:28.279 --> 01:13:29.369
thin twist at the end?
1178
01:13:30.729 --> 01:13:34.430
Dave, why have you got a budgie mirror?
1179
01:13:36.050 --> 01:13:37.010
Why have you got a budgie mirror?
1180
01:13:37.029 --> 01:13:41.970
It's not a budgie mirror, mate. It's the Auntie Donna device.
1181
01:13:42.069 --> 01:13:44.180
It stops us speaking.
1182
01:13:44.189 --> 01:13:48.159
You're so mean. Anthony Mim said his hand machine.
1183
01:13:48.199 --> 01:13:52.720
Yeah, that one is, I think. More importantly, if someone
1184
01:13:52.779 --> 01:13:56.510
comes up to us at East of England rallies this weekend,
1185
01:13:57.550 --> 01:14:00.890
which I don't know if many of... We'll give them
1186
01:14:00.949 --> 01:14:03.050
a free special edition.
1187
01:14:03.069 --> 01:14:04.649
Oh, my gosh.
1188
01:14:05.430 --> 01:14:08.670
But it doesn't show, Big Detecting Show key ring.
1189
01:14:09.289 --> 01:14:10.090
That's really gross.
1190
01:14:10.189 --> 01:14:12.569
Or they might have some other Big Detecting Show key
1191
01:14:12.630 --> 01:14:13.810
ring still available as well.
1192
01:14:13.829 --> 01:14:16.909
It's actually green, but because they've got a green screen.
1193
01:14:17.380 --> 01:14:20.819
So if you get those, that means you can watch
1194
01:14:20.939 --> 01:14:23.779
the show every week for free.
1195
01:14:24.560 --> 01:14:29.760
Talking of logos and such like, I inadvertently found a
1196
01:14:29.800 --> 01:14:32.770
logo yesterday on the back of somebody gone to a
1197
01:14:32.810 --> 01:14:33.569
fishing shack.
1198
01:14:33.869 --> 01:14:34.210
Yes.
1199
01:14:34.630 --> 01:14:36.750
And they have a big banner up and they've got
1200
01:14:36.789 --> 01:14:42.529
a podcast called The Big Fishing Show. The Big Fishing
1201
01:14:42.569 --> 01:14:45.550
Show in exactly the same font, exactly the same colours,
1202
01:14:45.689 --> 01:14:47.869
exactly the same name, exactly the same logo.
1203
01:14:50.529 --> 01:14:51.609
Yeah, I saw it.
1204
01:14:51.630 --> 01:14:54.050
I do actually have.
1205
01:14:54.149 --> 01:14:56.890
People who go fishing are boring.
1206
01:14:58.310 --> 01:15:00.489
I've got a bottle of Moet and a bottle of
1207
01:15:00.529 --> 01:15:04.520
Lanson and some Tattinger in my fridge, Philip. Just in case.
1208
01:15:04.659 --> 01:15:07.939
You never know. How do I get the balloons up?
1209
01:15:10.220 --> 01:15:10.720
Celebrate.
1210
01:15:12.930 --> 01:15:16.510
Yeah, Andrew. Yes, the sack twist is the first one.
1211
01:15:17.550 --> 01:15:22.010
Adrian's wall tonight, Nick West. There isn't one tonight, but
1212
01:15:22.170 --> 01:15:27.229
Nick West kindly messaged me this week with a find.
1213
01:15:28.569 --> 01:15:31.470
I think I've been drinking. because I thought he was
1214
01:15:31.489 --> 01:15:34.369
giving it away and he isn't, which is not a
1215
01:15:34.369 --> 01:15:40.340
bad thing. He sent me a find this week, which
1216
01:15:40.680 --> 01:15:43.859
will go on Adrian's wall next week. And, oh, my God,
1217
01:15:44.520 --> 01:15:49.939
it is really, really, really interesting. And anyone who finds it,
1218
01:15:52.550 --> 01:15:58.529
I'll give them... a year's subscription to a treasure hunting magazine,
1219
01:15:59.010 --> 01:16:03.369
or if they haven't got a subscription already, which they should,
1220
01:16:03.569 --> 01:16:05.250
I'll give them a book to that value.
1221
01:16:06.029 --> 01:16:09.109
I don't think I've seen that. Oh, great. It's the
1222
01:16:09.130 --> 01:16:10.399
same colour. Look, they match.
1223
01:16:10.489 --> 01:16:11.340
Adrian, look at mine.
1224
01:16:11.449 --> 01:16:14.439
Look at mine. Adrian, look at mine. Oh, Lord.
1225
01:16:14.960 --> 01:16:15.359
Anyway.
1226
01:16:15.380 --> 01:16:16.439
Oh, my God.
1227
01:16:16.460 --> 01:16:19.920
Is that Porky's 2 or Porky's Revenge?
1228
01:16:20.020 --> 01:16:24.619
Porky's 1 and Porky's 2. No, Porky's Revenge.
1229
01:16:24.960 --> 01:16:27.979
Oh, my God. So I was walking the dog when
1230
01:16:28.020 --> 01:16:32.069
I was about 26. I don't know where this is going.
1231
01:16:32.489 --> 01:16:33.409
Gallywood Common.
1232
01:16:33.909 --> 01:16:34.130
No.
1233
01:16:35.189 --> 01:16:38.489
And in a ditch was a DVD, and I pulled
1234
01:16:38.529 --> 01:16:41.510
it out in the case, and it was Porky's Revenge,
1235
01:16:41.609 --> 01:16:44.350
but a pirate copy. Do you remember when people... No,
1236
01:16:44.369 --> 01:16:45.369
it wasn't a DVD.
1237
01:16:45.430 --> 01:16:46.149
It was a video.
1238
01:16:46.470 --> 01:16:48.439
It was a video, and it was all wet, and
1239
01:16:48.479 --> 01:16:50.720
I put it on the radio. I got home and
1240
01:16:50.760 --> 01:16:57.460
watched it, but certain... parts were fuzzy, which normally shows.
1241
01:16:57.659 --> 01:17:03.079
Matt Kent's identified your piece of quartz, by the way.
1242
01:17:03.100 --> 01:17:07.359
It's from a Neolithic clock, probably from Stonehenge, which is
1243
01:17:07.420 --> 01:17:09.340
why Stonehenge doesn't work anymore.
1244
01:17:11.020 --> 01:17:17.109
Well, thank you, Matt Kent, because I used that crystal
1245
01:17:17.250 --> 01:17:20.630
to wake me up every morning and without fail, it
1246
01:17:20.670 --> 01:17:22.350
hasn't messed.
1247
01:17:22.069 --> 01:17:22.550
Up at all.
1248
01:17:23.029 --> 01:17:24.430
I was going to say it hasn't worked.
1249
01:17:25.930 --> 01:17:34.090
Actually, that times 10 I've found in the field that
1250
01:17:34.109 --> 01:17:34.689
I detect.
1251
01:17:35.850 --> 01:17:39.850
And it's crystal. It's got all the bits on it. So, yeah.
1252
01:17:40.449 --> 01:17:42.890
Right. Are we going to do Digger's Dash?
1253
01:17:45.850 --> 01:17:49.760
Jacqueline Walker's giving you some advice, Dave. She says, rub
1254
01:17:49.770 --> 01:17:51.640
some Vicks on your feet and put a pair of
1255
01:17:51.649 --> 01:17:54.560
socks on. That should sort your chest infection out.
1256
01:17:54.569 --> 01:17:57.630
Yeah, I've got the Vicks, but I can't wear socks
1257
01:17:57.670 --> 01:17:58.350
to sleep in.
1258
01:17:58.369 --> 01:18:00.250
My feet have to be stuck out the bottom in
1259
01:18:00.270 --> 01:18:01.729
the cold, sadly.
1260
01:18:03.550 --> 01:18:07.380
Can I just say, 100%, I agree with that.
1261
01:18:07.460 --> 01:18:09.579
He said he spoke to me at RCM and only
1262
01:18:09.640 --> 01:18:12.300
got a crappy sticker. I did give out a lot
1263
01:18:12.319 --> 01:18:15.619
of key rings. I was out, David. Crappy sticker.
1264
01:18:15.640 --> 01:18:17.939
He said to me and Adrian, and Adrian will back
1265
01:18:17.979 --> 01:18:19.579
me up here. She got back to the centre and
1266
01:18:19.600 --> 01:18:21.869
she went, That David Moore was there. I didn't think
1267
01:18:21.930 --> 01:18:23.609
much of him, so I only got a mistake.
1268
01:18:23.810 --> 01:18:24.170
Adrian?
1269
01:18:24.310 --> 01:18:25.149
That's lovely.
1270
01:18:26.960 --> 01:18:27.359
That one.
1271
01:18:27.680 --> 01:18:33.460
That one. He didn't give me enough stuff.
1272
01:18:33.520 --> 01:18:37.420
Donna, we don't get paid for this. We lose money
1273
01:18:37.739 --> 01:18:39.619
every week on this show.
1274
01:18:39.840 --> 01:18:42.390
I know. We do.
1275
01:18:42.470 --> 01:18:46.789
We lose money. And we pay for postage. No one's sponsored.
1276
01:18:46.850 --> 01:18:56.720
Hostage? Yeah, hosting. The only money we've ever asked is
1277
01:18:56.760 --> 01:18:58.260
Tony K. Wood.
1278
01:18:58.420 --> 01:19:02.020
He gave me some money to sponsor the podcast.
1279
01:19:02.060 --> 01:19:04.029
We need to have a word with the people behind
1280
01:19:04.109 --> 01:19:07.550
our adverts. Matt Kent said the video was probably wet
1281
01:19:07.609 --> 01:19:13.729
because it had been at sea with the pirates, Adrian.
1282
01:19:13.890 --> 01:19:16.029
I'll think of that tonight when I'm watching it.
1283
01:19:18.619 --> 01:19:24.979
Pirates. Have they got a DVD player there? I didn't
1284
01:19:25.000 --> 01:19:27.699
know it'd come out on DVD. DVD.
1285
01:19:28.100 --> 01:19:31.680
I used to like Lemon Popsicle. Lemon Popsicle. I used
1286
01:19:31.720 --> 01:19:32.279
to like that.
1287
01:19:32.659 --> 01:19:38.470
Yeah. Lemon Popsicle. My mum had the album to that,
1288
01:19:38.489 --> 01:19:41.510
you know, the soundtrack on lemon vinyl.
1289
01:19:41.550 --> 01:19:41.869
Really?
1290
01:19:42.329 --> 01:19:46.810
Yeah. Really? Yeah, because it was a 1960s soundtrack, wasn't it?
1291
01:19:47.529 --> 01:19:49.729
Anyway, we're ten minutes away.
1292
01:19:49.750 --> 01:19:52.310
Wayne's asked you a question that I don't understand.
1293
01:19:52.350 --> 01:19:59.350
Yes. Yes. Not just Adrian. You won't be just sending
1294
01:19:59.369 --> 01:20:01.689
them to Adrian, Wayne. You'll be sending them to me also.
1295
01:20:01.810 --> 01:20:02.380
Don't forget.
1296
01:20:04.039 --> 01:20:05.159
Yeah, I did watch that.
1297
01:20:07.819 --> 01:20:14.699
BBC One One. Yeah. So, yeah.
1298
01:20:15.619 --> 01:20:19.199
I'm thinking of the other videos you've sent me, but no,
1299
01:20:19.399 --> 01:20:20.239
Wayne Boland's.
1300
01:20:21.979 --> 01:20:26.210
I got some prizes brought to me. Go on. Wayne.
1301
01:20:27.350 --> 01:20:35.890
Wayne Rowland's fought for our country in Afghanistan and places.
1302
01:20:35.909 --> 01:20:40.970
On his own? Well, no, he had people with him.
1303
01:20:41.350 --> 01:20:47.750
But, yeah, it's really heartfelt and it made you realise
1304
01:20:47.810 --> 01:20:52.670
how lucky we are and not to forget people who've
1305
01:20:52.869 --> 01:20:54.869
supported us over the years.
1306
01:20:55.170 --> 01:20:55.750
And I think.
1307
01:20:56.319 --> 01:20:59.060
Like, we think of World War I, World War II,
1308
01:20:59.140 --> 01:21:02.970
we forget what else has gone on. And what Wayne did,
1309
01:21:03.670 --> 01:21:06.229
he sent me separate videos of what he did.
1310
01:21:06.409 --> 01:21:10.989
And I... Yeah.
1311
01:21:11.210 --> 01:21:14.329
We were sat gobsmacked in the field when he was
1312
01:21:14.369 --> 01:21:15.189
telling us, weren't we?
1313
01:21:16.949 --> 01:21:19.050
Yeah. Yeah. We were. I can't talk about it. He
1314
01:21:19.069 --> 01:21:19.909
doesn't show me things.
1315
01:21:19.770 --> 01:21:22.350
Like that because I'm a girl. I'm actually a girl.
1316
01:21:22.380 --> 01:21:23.319
I'm not allowed.
1317
01:21:23.439 --> 01:21:29.100
He should do because... yeah I'm lost.
1318
01:21:28.979 --> 01:21:32.699
For words on that thank you Matt Kent legend the.
1319
01:21:32.619 --> 01:21:36.960
Thing is we just need to make sure that all
1320
01:21:37.000 --> 01:21:40.420
of us we know we do what we do for
1321
01:21:40.439 --> 01:21:43.800
a reason it's not about treasure hunting you know I
1322
01:21:44.279 --> 01:21:46.819
think most detectorists are not out there to go and
1323
01:21:46.859 --> 01:21:53.270
dig up lots of gold I'm not going to say
1324
01:21:53.310 --> 01:21:57.289
it you can say it say what not me We're
1325
01:21:57.350 --> 01:22:01.270
out there for the benefits it can bring on mental health,
1326
01:22:01.789 --> 01:22:08.119
just pressure, enjoyment, vitamin D. It relaxes you. All the
1327
01:22:08.140 --> 01:22:11.760
stress and anything, you know, I suffer. You know I've
1328
01:22:11.800 --> 01:22:15.460
got ADHD. But it makes a lot of things in.
1329
01:22:15.420 --> 01:22:19.000
My world not make sense. I know.
1330
01:22:19.560 --> 01:22:21.920
But there was one of my farmers that told me
1331
01:22:21.960 --> 01:22:25.859
I had it. I'm not getting diagnosed because I just said, yeah, of.
1332
01:22:25.970 --> 01:22:29.409
Course I have it. Donna, I think the one thing
1333
01:22:29.470 --> 01:22:30.670
I've found in the hobby.
1334
01:22:31.050 --> 01:22:32.590
Shut up, Donna. You've got ADHD.
1335
01:22:33.109 --> 01:22:33.310
Yeah.
1336
01:22:33.630 --> 01:22:38.189
The one thing I've found in the hobby is prime example,
1337
01:22:38.489 --> 01:22:42.869
absolute prime example. I'm down south. He thinks I'm from
1338
01:22:43.750 --> 01:22:44.770
East London or whatever.
1339
01:22:46.069 --> 01:22:47.119
I would never.
1340
01:22:47.659 --> 01:22:52.710
ever, ever have met or spoken to him if I
1341
01:22:52.750 --> 01:22:55.909
was on holiday or a bus stop or whatever. I
1342
01:22:55.909 --> 01:22:58.229
would have chatted to him, but I just thought Norm
1343
01:22:58.250 --> 01:23:01.189
and I wouldn't get on with him. Me and him,
1344
01:23:01.210 --> 01:23:08.329
I can honestly say, we're best mates. And he's a
1345
01:23:08.369 --> 01:23:11.149
lovely bloke. I would never have met him through the
1346
01:23:11.189 --> 01:23:16.300
hobby of metal detecting. And that's for numerous people. And
1347
01:23:16.460 --> 01:23:18.819
one thing I like about us in the hobby, we're
1348
01:23:18.920 --> 01:23:21.380
quite open, like our settings.
1349
01:23:22.079 --> 01:23:23.520
No, that's a cliche.
1350
01:23:23.699 --> 01:23:26.880
We're not open about how to clean our finds.
1351
01:23:27.960 --> 01:23:30.300
I don't know what it is, but if you like
1352
01:23:30.340 --> 01:23:34.829
metal detecting, there's some link.
1353
01:23:34.569 --> 01:23:36.130
There to get on with people.
1354
01:23:36.630 --> 01:23:39.069
You've got a common interest. I get on with Shane,
1355
01:23:39.090 --> 01:23:44.810
I get on with... Steve, all Dave's mates, my mate James,
1356
01:23:46.229 --> 01:23:50.770
everyone connects. And you talk originally about the hobby and
1357
01:23:50.789 --> 01:23:56.189
metal detecting, and then it might move on to coughing
1358
01:23:56.689 --> 01:24:00.210
or I had a cough the other week.
1359
01:24:00.750 --> 01:24:01.689
I don't know what it is.
1360
01:24:01.810 --> 01:24:07.380
It's like this sort of we're constantly wanting to find
1361
01:24:07.479 --> 01:24:08.220
things more.
1362
01:24:09.180 --> 01:24:12.340
I think the thing is It's the same as fishing
1363
01:24:12.359 --> 01:24:17.460
where you get the challenge The chase But Derek says
1364
01:24:17.539 --> 01:24:19.859
He's in it for the history And I think that's
1365
01:24:19.880 --> 01:24:23.899
the one thing It's not a full stop You finish
1366
01:24:23.939 --> 01:24:27.000
your days detecting It isn't a full stop You've got
1367
01:24:27.100 --> 01:24:29.680
things to do You've got to clean your finds You've
1368
01:24:29.699 --> 01:24:31.520
got to clean your kit You've got to wax your
1369
01:24:31.579 --> 01:24:33.760
zips You've got to make sure you're ready to go
1370
01:24:33.819 --> 01:24:37.100
out next time And then look at your stuff Care
1371
01:24:37.119 --> 01:24:40.720
for your stuff. Identify your stuff. Go visit the float.
1372
01:24:41.100 --> 01:24:44.350
Talk to people about it. Get things identified. It connects
1373
01:24:44.409 --> 01:24:48.649
you with the community. It doesn't just stop. There's more.
1374
01:24:48.750 --> 01:24:54.409
Can I just say, James Barnes said something absolutely amazing tonight,
1375
01:24:55.569 --> 01:24:56.970
and I love James Barnes.
1376
01:24:57.090 --> 01:24:58.409
Is it about the 69 inches?
1377
01:25:00.239 --> 01:25:00.560
No.
1378
01:25:01.140 --> 01:25:03.520
Oh, right. Friends, then finds friends.
1379
01:25:05.189 --> 01:25:07.770
You just said you love James Barnes. I love James
1380
01:25:07.869 --> 01:25:08.670
Barnes up.
1381
01:25:08.649 --> 01:25:10.350
Until the point where he tries to.
1382
01:25:10.210 --> 01:25:13.060
Start a religious war at one o'clock in the morning.
1383
01:25:13.800 --> 01:25:14.380
What about.
1384
01:25:14.399 --> 01:25:17.779
When Adrian was young, he would pretend that he was
1385
01:25:17.800 --> 01:25:19.000
here for a summit.
1386
01:25:19.079 --> 01:25:22.000
Oh, that was good. I knew what had happened, though.
1387
01:25:22.039 --> 01:25:23.569
I just carried on talking. Sorry, we got to.
1388
01:25:34.090 --> 01:25:37.590
I had a piece of salt.
1389
01:25:37.369 --> 01:25:44.850
From the salt mines near Krakow in Poland. I had
1390
01:25:44.869 --> 01:25:49.529
a homemade mug, glazed mug.
1391
01:25:50.020 --> 01:25:51.500
That's very nice.
1392
01:25:52.460 --> 01:25:52.859
I like that.
1393
01:25:52.880 --> 01:25:56.079
Don't drop it. And I know you appreciate this, Donna.
1394
01:25:57.180 --> 01:26:02.460
I had a jar of water from the white well
1395
01:26:02.619 --> 01:26:03.579
at Glastonbury Talk.
1396
01:26:05.569 --> 01:26:08.439
Ah, holy water.
1397
01:26:09.449 --> 01:26:09.609
Yep.
1398
01:26:09.850 --> 01:26:12.300
Chalice as well.
1399
01:26:13.479 --> 01:26:15.220
Shall we do Detectorist Dash?
1400
01:26:15.720 --> 01:26:20.680
Yes.
1401
01:26:20.779 --> 01:26:21.359
Thanks, Matt.
1402
01:26:21.779 --> 01:26:22.159
Screw.
1403
01:26:23.340 --> 01:26:29.010
Oh, Steve, I've got to mend this because... Thanks, Wayne.
1404
01:26:30.510 --> 01:26:32.810
Wayne has said something really important. He said, I'm a
1405
01:26:32.850 --> 01:26:35.609
better person since I started this hobby 10 years ago.
1406
01:26:35.630 --> 01:26:39.100
I wouldn't be here otherwise. Kiss, kiss, kiss. So thank
1407
01:26:39.140 --> 01:26:41.399
you all for listening to me and for your support
1408
01:26:41.569 --> 01:26:44.460
over the years. I'm going to send you a message.
1409
01:26:44.880 --> 01:26:49.359
I've got a new rule, right? When you're putting something
1410
01:26:49.479 --> 01:26:51.720
on and you think it'd be read out on the.
1411
01:26:51.640 --> 01:26:54.100
Show, if you put who you want it put read
1412
01:26:54.159 --> 01:26:59.119
out by as part of the message, Dave, Adrian or Donna,
1413
01:27:00.060 --> 01:27:01.659
That's how we're going to shut Donna up.
1414
01:27:02.649 --> 01:27:04.250
I mean, that would be a good idea.
1415
01:27:04.270 --> 01:27:07.670
You're testing them. You are testing them because they'll just
1416
01:27:07.710 --> 01:27:11.109
get their own back. You'll bomb. You will bomb.
1417
01:27:11.630 --> 01:27:14.760
I won't bomb. It'll be Dave Adrian, Dave Adrian, Dave Adrian,
1418
01:27:14.819 --> 01:27:16.760
Dave Adrian, Dave Adrian. Absolutely.
1419
01:27:16.800 --> 01:27:18.300
I'm fine for that. I'm fine.
1420
01:27:19.340 --> 01:27:21.619
Jackie W's in a wheelchair now.
1421
01:27:22.359 --> 01:27:25.319
Jackie W's in a wheelchair. That's because she's in Middleton.
1422
01:27:26.010 --> 01:27:27.789
She is in Middleton getting her mane done.
1423
01:27:29.010 --> 01:27:31.970
Oh, it's quite close.
1424
01:27:32.050 --> 01:27:33.130
It's quite close.
1425
01:27:33.189 --> 01:27:36.939
A little bit gutted, Jackie, that Andy's not pushing you around, actually.
1426
01:27:38.220 --> 01:27:43.560
It's a bit close between Steph and Sim. I've got
1427
01:27:43.579 --> 01:27:45.920
to change the way the words go.
1428
01:27:45.939 --> 01:27:48.739
You have, so we can see a bit more of
1429
01:27:48.960 --> 01:27:49.550
who they are.
1430
01:27:50.600 --> 01:27:54.550
Yeah. I'll give it 30 seconds.
1431
01:27:54.550 --> 01:27:55.069
30 seconds.
1432
01:27:55.760 --> 01:27:59.180
John Clayton says he went out last weekend, found two
1433
01:27:59.239 --> 01:28:00.439
earrings and a few coins.
1434
01:28:03.880 --> 01:28:04.159
Right.
1435
01:28:04.859 --> 01:28:08.729
We'll do it. Ten. Ten.
1436
01:28:09.869 --> 01:28:10.289
Nine.
1437
01:28:10.810 --> 01:28:12.010
This is only for fun.
1438
01:28:13.390 --> 01:28:13.710
Ten.
1439
01:28:14.829 --> 01:28:15.250
Nine.
1440
01:28:16.329 --> 01:28:17.340
Eight. Six. Five.
1441
01:28:17.399 --> 01:28:18.520
Oh, look how close it is.
1442
01:28:18.560 --> 01:28:19.159
Look how close it is.
1443
01:28:25.659 --> 01:28:29.539
Four, three, two.
1444
01:28:30.100 --> 01:28:32.210
Come on, Sam. One. Go on, Sam.
1445
01:28:32.670 --> 01:28:33.729
I might give it a few more.
1446
01:28:34.289 --> 01:28:36.850
Are you just waiting for somebody to get blown up?
1447
01:28:37.609 --> 01:28:40.439
No, he's waiting to see if Simon gets. something.
1448
01:28:41.180 --> 01:28:42.840
Oh, Stevie Tums.
1449
01:28:43.340 --> 01:28:43.920
He won.
1450
01:28:44.560 --> 01:28:47.600
Dean said he's been watching himself. He's been digging foil
1451
01:28:47.640 --> 01:28:48.619
and shotty caps.
1452
01:28:49.920 --> 01:28:52.300
Oh, well, I'm glad he's watching it.
1453
01:28:52.640 --> 01:28:53.659
I'm glad he's watching it.
1454
01:28:53.699 --> 01:28:56.439
Yeah, but the thing is, Dean's already, he's now got
1455
01:28:56.460 --> 01:28:58.720
to go quick because he's got the ferry back to
1456
01:28:58.819 --> 01:28:59.680
Ireland at one o'clock.
1457
01:29:00.500 --> 01:29:05.109
So Stevie Tons, well done. Tonight's show prize was just
1458
01:29:05.149 --> 01:29:08.310
for fun. We're still running in.
1459
01:29:08.550 --> 01:29:09.869
The Tech Diggers Dash.
1460
01:29:09.909 --> 01:29:11.310
Yeah, we're getting used to it.
1461
01:29:11.670 --> 01:29:18.229
So it will get better over the coming months. There
1462
01:29:18.340 --> 01:29:22.300
may be things like NCMD turning up and you haven't
1463
01:29:22.319 --> 01:29:25.819
got membership and you get thrown off, things like that.
1464
01:29:26.119 --> 01:29:30.239
And there is the bombs going off. Or one week you.
1465
01:29:30.189 --> 01:29:32.470
Might actually bump into Donna on the field and she
1466
01:29:32.489 --> 01:29:33.750
just stops talking to you.
1467
01:29:33.890 --> 01:29:35.869
Oh, that's a really good one.
1468
01:29:36.170 --> 01:29:39.050
That would be a brilliant one. People would sympathise with you.
1469
01:29:40.010 --> 01:29:41.970
But sometimes you don't.
1470
01:29:41.550 --> 01:29:44.390
Stop talking to me, to be fair. I can think
1471
01:29:44.470 --> 01:29:47.270
of some Spanish bloke with his 50 gold rings.
1472
01:29:48.050 --> 01:29:50.930
I'm going to make a note of that. Bumping into Donna.
1473
01:29:51.310 --> 01:29:52.510
This is important.
1474
01:29:55.470 --> 01:29:55.930
Rally boys.
1475
01:29:55.970 --> 01:29:59.729
We've had some complaints. We have had official complaints. So,
1476
01:30:00.250 --> 01:30:04.500
Norfolk digger Kev said he's always on the left-hand side
1477
01:30:04.640 --> 01:30:07.760
where all the trash is. And Jacqueline Walker has said
1478
01:30:07.840 --> 01:30:11.159
ring pools all night for her. So, come on, guys.
1479
01:30:11.239 --> 01:30:14.939
You've got to level up the playing field. And just
1480
01:30:14.979 --> 01:30:17.409
like my game on says Stocky Stocks, he dug.
1481
01:30:17.270 --> 01:30:19.350
A mean cheek. You've got to be finding nicer things
1482
01:30:19.449 --> 01:30:21.409
all weekend, I'm sure. Graham, we.
1483
01:30:22.779 --> 01:30:27.470
We are looking at introducing ground balancing and certain settings
1484
01:30:27.850 --> 01:30:30.050
for the machine. So it's going to get a bit
1485
01:30:30.090 --> 01:30:34.109
more technical. So when you log in, in a couple
1486
01:30:34.130 --> 01:30:38.270
of weeks, you'll be able to detect straight away ground
1487
01:30:38.310 --> 01:30:41.880
balance or choose a program.
1488
01:30:42.880 --> 01:30:46.239
Adrian McStraw said, if you could only throw your metal
1489
01:30:46.279 --> 01:30:48.279
detector and find it in the scrap bin when you
1490
01:30:48.300 --> 01:30:50.140
come off the field, I'd fill the bin.
1491
01:30:52.140 --> 01:30:54.500
James Bond says, which ghostbusters is Donna going to be
1492
01:30:54.539 --> 01:30:59.659
this weekend? He votes Winston. The black one.
1493
01:31:00.640 --> 01:31:03.079
Which one of the Ghostbusters is Donna going to be
1494
01:31:03.119 --> 01:31:05.460
this weekend? I vote Winston. I don't know.
1495
01:31:05.500 --> 01:31:07.060
What have I literally just said?
1496
01:31:07.810 --> 01:31:10.550
I don't know. He's Winston. I wasn't listening.
1497
01:31:10.590 --> 01:31:15.229
Dave. Dave. Dave. I know what it is now.
1498
01:31:16.390 --> 01:31:19.510
Which one of the Ghostbusters is Donna going to be
1499
01:31:19.550 --> 01:31:20.010
this weekend?
1500
01:31:20.029 --> 01:31:22.220
Winston. Winston. Sorry.
1501
01:31:22.819 --> 01:31:31.060
Anyway, it's time to go. We will do a video
1502
01:31:31.100 --> 01:31:34.840
this weekend. Put it on YouTube. So if you subscribe
1503
01:31:34.899 --> 01:31:36.140
to our YouTube channel.
1504
01:31:36.979 --> 01:31:39.600
When you get up this morning, tomorrow morning, sorry. When
1505
01:31:39.619 --> 01:31:43.930
you get up tomorrow morning, please send me good vibes. Please.
1506
01:31:44.949 --> 01:31:47.510
Because my car's going to be at half past eight
1507
01:31:47.850 --> 01:31:49.989
and I might be in the shit otherwise. So please
1508
01:31:50.010 --> 01:31:50.989
send me good vibes.
1509
01:31:51.470 --> 01:31:53.909
You shouldn't be doubting its capabilities.
1510
01:31:55.210 --> 01:31:58.520
You shouldn't be doubting its capabilities. Adrian, do the balloons.
1511
01:31:58.560 --> 01:31:59.140
Do the balloons.
1512
01:31:59.840 --> 01:32:00.840
Do the balloons.
1513
01:32:01.060 --> 01:32:03.560
Is it that? Is it that?
1514
01:32:03.819 --> 01:32:09.439
The karma. Ava says, Mia says, be lucky everyone out there.
1515
01:32:09.520 --> 01:32:12.250
See you down in Norfolk if you're there. Who do
1516
01:32:12.270 --> 01:32:15.930
you call, Donna? You call Dave because he's the paranormalist.
1517
01:32:17.489 --> 01:32:20.789
I think it's that one for balloons. Thank you for
1518
01:32:20.829 --> 01:32:21.390
joining us.
1519
01:32:21.630 --> 01:32:24.380
If you are down in Norfolk this weekend, we look
1520
01:32:24.420 --> 01:32:28.859
forward to seeing you. Don't forget to keep away from
