As is fitting for today's subject matter, a fellowship was formed of knowledgeable nerds and geeks to discuss the secret origins of one of the most influential fantasy series of all time, "The Lord of the Rings". Average Joe and Beef Pork Ribs are joined by returning guests Ben The Movie Buff & Shaggy Neo, as well as new guests Libra the Book Lady and Rune Rhymer.
What came first in the written works of author J.R.R Tolkien? His word-building historical fiction, his fictional languages, his children's book, or his epic fantasy story? What made the journey of getting the stories of Middle Earth onto paper so epic in and of themselves? Why has this story left such a huge impact on nerd and geek culture?
