ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What direction are you leaning?
In Acts 20, we read about Eutychus, a young man who fell asleep while Paul was preaching, fell from a third-story window, and was taken up dead. But the deeper lesson isn't simply about falling asleep in church. It's about where Eutychus was positioned before he fell.
Eutychus was already leaning toward the window. He was already leaning away from the center of the gathering and toward the outside. And when he fell, he fell in the wrong direction.
In this episode of The Babbler, we explore the story of Eutychus in Acts 20 and what it teaches us about spiritual complacency, falling away, prayer, Scripture, church fellowship, and our relationship with God.
We are all going to stumble. We are all going to have moments when we fall. The question is: which direction are you leaning?
When we lean toward God, His Word, prayer, the church, fellowship, and the things of His kingdom, even when we stumble, we can fall forward into grace.
This episode is a wake-up call to anyone who may be spiritually drifting, checking out, or slowly leaning away from the things of God.
Wake up. Lean into God. And when you fall, fall forward.
