2 Huge Cases

Phillip Jauregui: Hey guys, this is Philip Greghi with Supreme Thoughts. I want to tell you about two big cases today impacting our nation and what you can do about it. ⁓ the first one, we'll get right into it, is the Louisiana versus FDA case. There'll be a big hearing on September ninth down in ⁓ New Orleans. It's on September ninth at nine AM. That's nine nine at nine. Isn't that interesting? You guys will have to think about the significance of that if there is any. I'm sure there is. our friends at Bound for Life are going to be organizing some meetings that weekend before. I'll plan to be there. And let me give you the details on that because there's gonna be an opportunity to pray at the courtroom. on the Monday before the Wednesday hearing to take communion. But then also there'll be a gathering the day of the hearing. So let me tell you guys where you can find this information. So we're going to put a link in the show notes. And then again click on events and from there you'll see It's ⁓ it's called All to the Wall. This is on ⁓ the Louisiana versus FDA case. That's the most, probably the most significant abortion case since Dobbs. And ⁓ there will be a gathering at a local church starting Saturday. The first session is at 7 p.m. Again, all these details are on the website that I gave you, and it's in the show notes that link. But ⁓ the gathering will start Saturday evening at seven p.m. There'll be two sessions Sunday afternoon at three p.m. and seven p.m. And then Monday morning at ten a.m. at the courthouse. There will be a silent siege where, as you know, the Bound for Life folks, Matt Lockett and his team ⁓ put red tape on their mouths with the word life. That's called a silent siege where there's prayer and then communion. And it'll be powerful. So ⁓ if you're in the area and if you're not in the area, you can travel in for that. ⁓ on their website, they have some accommodations, all the event information you can sign up. There's a very small fee of $50. but all the all the information is there, and that's a key case, guys, because it's about this abortion drug that's being mailed nationwide, which is against the law. It's a crime. For that to happen. And so these groups that are doing it, believe it was Justice Thomas and his concurring opinion when this case came up on an emergency matter before the Supreme Court said that it w I th I think what he said was it was a criminal enterprise. And ⁓ it's a huge case, but it's not just about a criminal enterprise, it's about babies. And it's about women crew who are being horribly injured. I'm not gonna go into the details. Many of you know the details. You will hear all about that on Saturday and Sunday at the gatherings that we're having at the church down there in New Orleans. But I encourage you to come. If you're in the area, it makes it really easy to ⁓ to come down. Maybe if you can't come for the Saturday and Sunday, you can at least come for the Monday silent siege. And then also Matt's team will be gathering on Wednesday, that's September 9th, at 9 a.m. when the hearing happens down there. It's a huge case. Be praying about it. I know many of you, many of you are on our Jag prayer calls and you are praying for it. But ⁓ let me let me tell you a little bit more about who will be there because I know you'll want to know. ⁓ I told you Matt Lockett and Bound for Life. Also, Lou Engel will be there. Laura Allred will be there. Worship will be led by Laura and Jonas Park. And then ⁓ I'll be there. And then also Alan Parker will be there. Many of you know Alan Parker from the Justice Foundation. Alan's a dear friend, one of the smartest, ⁓ most committed Christian attorneys that I know, committed to the pro-life cause, like no other. Alan will be there. ⁓ so it's gonna be a great group. The second case that I want to tell you guys about is even bigger. ⁓ if anything could get bigger. And and and on the that abortion case too, that will almost certainly be at the US Supreme Court at some point because because whichever side doesn't win down below, it'll almost certainly come up to the Supreme Court. But the second big case is the Texas Ten Commandments case, which the left, which lost that case, filed the cert petition at the US Supreme Court last week. And a cert petition doesn't mean that the case has been accepted by the Supreme Court, but that the other side is asking the court to hear it. This is a huge case because I truly believe that the root problem in America is the breaching of our national relationship with God. And ⁓ this case not only is about the Ten Commandments, which is incredibly important by itself. But it's about even the bigger issue of our relationship with God. It's about His Ten Commandments, but it's also about as a nation. What are we saying? How are we acting? How are we relating to the God who the Declaration of Independence says is the one who gave us the right to even exist is a nation, who embedded rights in us. Not when we became a nation, the rights were embedded embedded in us at creation. So it's a huge case, guys. And ⁓ I believe that that it's the key to everything. Everything that you care about for this nation, whether it's the life issue, saving babies, whether it's ⁓ the preservation of biblical marriage, whether it's pulling us back from the brink of the sexual insanity of the trans movement and the LGBT movement. Whether it's dealing with the incursion of radical Islam into our nation, whether it's dealing with communism, Marxism, socialism, and the attack against the very foundations of our nation. All those things, guys, if you picture those as being like grapes in a cluster of grapes, they're all separate grapes. And so we're we're trying to deal with them individually as grapes, and we should. We need to have strategies. about those things. But if the grape has been cut off from the cluster of grapes has been cut off from the vine and we're just looking at the grapes that are spoiling and dying and trying to tend them, how much better would it be if we could reattach the grapes to the vine? That's the principle I'm talking about here. We need to reattach our nation to God. The problem is we have cut ourselves off from him. The Supreme Court has cut our nation off from him in 1962 in the Engel versus Vital case, the nineteen sixty-three Abington v. Schemp case, and the nineteen eighty Stone versus Graham case, which dealt with the Ten Commandments in schools. Here we have an opportunity to reverse. that curse of the breaching of our national relationship with God. If we will reattach our nation to God, now the life of God will be flowing in and contend to contend, not contend, can tend to the fruit of all these areas that we care so dearly about. Life in our nation, marriage in our nation, morality, ⁓ opposing is radical Islam and radical communism. Which is making serious moves in our nation. I know you care about that. And so we can deal with that by getting it right, getting our national relationship with God right and seeing a ruling in this Ten Commandments case. So be praying about that one. And that's not just a dinner, it's not just a gathering. It's an experience with God where we're going before Him. The word consecration talks about being holy by being in contact with that which is sacred. Well, it's not about us, but as we draw near to God and we are in contact with him and we're praying and interceding and bringing our Supreme Court in contact with him, that's consecration, and that's what we need.
