Speaker 1: We're broadcasting live forth the tyraight dot Com studios tyrat dot com. Well we get there on match selection, fast free shipping, free road hast protection, over ten thousand recommending stallars tyrat dot com. It's the way that tire buying should be, you know buyer actually, and I know you're super busy, so if you got to you got other work to do. You tell me, but you're the perfect guy to here's here's what's funny. You brought up a great point last hour, and I want to I want to make sure that people understand that that comes from years and years and years of doing this. Right in that Deon Sanders is showing all these receipts, Hey, we told you so, told you so, told you so, I told you so. After one week and it was a great win we have. There's no one sitting there going like hey, because it really doesn't actually matter. It doesn't actually matter how good TCU is from this perspective, Like Colorado went one game last year and they put in eighty new players, fifty three new scholarship players. No one had any idea if Schudeur Sanders could play at that level, and they were, at least for one week, they were great. Right, But do you remember, I think, okay, do you remember when South Florida had it rolling and I think they got to like number two in the country. I'm not talking about the Willie Taggart Charlie Strong South Florida. I want to say it was the was Jim Levitt the coach there?
00:02:16
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:02:16
Speaker 2: Okay, sure, right, yeah?
00:02:18
Speaker 1: And they got ranked as high as number two in the country. I believe it was two thousand and seven. Right, two thousand and seven, they were number two in the country and they had beaten Auburn on the road. They beat West Virginia. This is back when West Virginia was really good. Rich Rod was the coach there. Right, West Virgina's ranked like fifth in the country. And on the fourteenth of October they were ranked number two in the country. And then they got beat and I think they had an injury. I want to say their quarterback got hurt, right, they had a little quarterback I can't remember. I think was it mac Ro anyway, that little quarterback, and they like never recovered. Right. They end up nine and four on the year, and it wasn't until Willie Taggert and then Charlie Strong. Those are the only double digit win seasons. But they were never ranked that high ever again. But the point was like it's it's really isn't over until it's over, and in college football, like there's so much football to be played that we do need to catch our breath before we make all of these pronouncements based upon games that are played either in August or first weekend September, the PAC.
00:03:42
Speaker 4: Twelve media picked Colorado eleventh. Only Stanford was worse. I had fewer votes amongst the back twelve media, And so that maybe tells.
00:03:52
Speaker 2: You what Colorado like.
00:03:53
Speaker 4: A two or three win team to go on the road and beat a ranked team that they think, you know, we thought was a ranked team in TV is the accomplishment. But it goes both ways, Doug, it really does. There's everybody. If you're mad that everybody jumped to the conclusion that you snunk, then after just one performance, maybe you shouldn't jump to the conclusion that your team is it and everybody else is wrong. That's the only thing that I would just caution on. Maybe there are right, yeah, there are some people that maybe thought Colorado wasn't gonna win a game. Tom lougan Bill, you know, on record, is saying he felt that Colorado had the worst roster next to UMass in FBS. Now that is now, if Dean wants to say that that Tom Lougan Bill, then that's fair because they didn't look like they were the worst roster, and in fact, you have a couple of five star and four star talents that were all over the field that would tell me otherwise. But the general, the general thought that everything was changed and now has changed and they have arrived after just one game.
00:05:00
Speaker 2: Think is not true.
00:05:02
Speaker 1: Oh, I completely agree with you completely. And now the interesting part about Lougan Bill, and here's where I would say that Dion can do the receipts thing a little bit is Lougan Bill is a is an actual analyst right and recruiting specialist. And he said most of what he said was he was talking about upfront. Yeah, he was talking about he was talking about the offensive line, which is which was an issue, but they were able to navigate it. And again part of it is we don't know if TCU is any good on defense, right, and no one has any idea. But uh, Lougan Bill would be a fair one because he's not a reporter. He's not like, it's not reporters jobs to really make picks. They can make predictions, but they don't really doesn't come from a place where they have expectations to get it right because they don't necessarily analyze. They're not supposed to be cheerleaders for you when you do well either. But I don't know, it's gonna be interesting I was. I was blown away by how good they looked, how well should or Sanders play, Not because I came in with any sort of preconceived notion. I just know he played at a much lower level and he was like a three star recruit, and it was it's hard to tell how good a guy is. And again, only watching him one game, I thought he was fantastic. Who would know better than Tom Brady. Tom Brady has his own podcasts called Let's Go or it's called Let's Get. Here's Tom Brady.
00:06:44
Speaker 5: There's a different energy about it, you know, it's it's a newness. It's a fresh start to try to take where you've been, to bring all the good and then not to bring the tough lessons. You know, the tough lessons always remain unless you work through them, you know. So it's like you go to through a lot of years at one place and there's a lot of I would say mental scar tissue, you know, from losses or relationships or or or certain experiences all this guy said this once, or that teammate, this coach or that general manager. Now you go to a new place and you have none of that. So now you can just hopefully bring your best, knowing that you probably didn't do everything right where you were, but you tried your best. And now you get to go to a new place with a different type of emotional energy. And you know, I'm excited for him. He'll be invigorated. It looks like he's having a good time up to this year. I know he's been engaged in off season, which is always great, and you know, really trying to connect with his teammates. So I'm excited to see what he does. They actually have a they have a really good team. They have a really good offense, and you know Aaron's been when he's got good receivers. Man, it's pretty dangerous. And I think he's gonna have a great year.
00:07:54
Speaker 1: I think it's fascinating. And anybody who switched jobs, and when I say switch jobs, I mean like, hey, you're here a place for a couple of years. Like air Rodgers was there for his entire professional life. He was in Green Bay and one way of kind of doing things there is there is that immediate energy. I think the issue you run into and Brady handled some adversity really well, Rogers is a guy who hasn't always handled the adversity well. Is everything's great now? What happens when they lose a couple in a row? What happens when you know some of the old Jets' mistakes take place? What happens then? Is his attitude still the same then? Or does it slip? Right? That's the I think that's the big question. But I mean, look, Brady's lived it, he knows it. And there is a new energy to being in a new place. You know, new relationship, new job, new house, new school. There's always something you know where when it's new, you kind of you feel reinvigorated a little bit. But there does you come down off that high at some point? And it's what happens when you come down off that high? Jaycedu, you're probably the best, the best parallel for this because you know you've of late, you've you've switched jobs a couple of times, right, for a long time you were at one place. Can you can you see a parallel there in the energy and then also that coming down off the high after the new job.
00:09:24
Speaker 6: Absolutely, I think what but Brady said about I think it is very relatable about when you're in the same place for a long time, you start to take what seems now looking back as the pettiest of things personally, And I think it's like, I'm not sure, I forget what the cliche is that familiarity grows some contempt, I think, or something like that, like there is something about being around the same people every day where you start to get annoyed by the littlest of things and it starts to become almost kind of like a toxic thing if you allow it to. And Aaron Rodgers the last couple of years and the Packers just seemed he just seems so I don't know it was it was. It was combative almost, whether it build a media or with his front office or what have you. And I think that Brady speaks a lot of truth here and that when you get this kind of reset, not only do you get like a new environment with new people to jee with and a new energy, but you also realize the mistakes that you made at the last shop that you don't want to do again, and that can only make you better. No matter how much older he is, or maybe he's lost a little off his fastball, but mentally, I think I think Brady says a lot of interesting things here.
00:10:43
Speaker 1: That is, I love a bunch of those things you're talking about, Like, yeah, I don't think he was here's the here's the here's the saying I would use with Tom Brady. Do you remember what Marshall Lynd said the Super Bowl? Right, I'm only here because I don't get fined. It felt like Aaron Rodgers a lot of times in Green Bay was operating under that for every day he came to work. Right, It's like, I'm only here so I don't get fined. And yet now it makes you kind of rediscover what you love about football. But again, like, remember, there's a reason that franchises historically have a consistency of success. For Green Bay, can you point out the fact that they went from one Hall of Fame quarterback to another? Absolutely, But there are also very likely to be other institutional reasons that they've been this good, this consistently other than just we have Aaron Rodgers. And I think the opposite is true with the Jets, right the Jets have they had Brett Farv, that thing started great fell apart. Was it just because Brett Favr got hurt a little bit? But there had to be other institutional issues that didn't allow them to climb out of that consistently negative hole. But who to speak more on this than Tom Brady? That's you know, and he's not really pointed with his commentary, But I do think that provides us some great background. Byron, what about you again, You've been here for a long time, right in terms of Fox, But I would guarantee, like if you went to work at a different place like those first three to six months, you'd be just jumping out of your skin with the type of energy get.
00:12:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, And it shows that Rogers is doing that with you know where he is. Heck, he's at the US Open. We saw him at the Nick Games taking advantage of that. So he's been all over the place. And I feel that he also feels that maybe maybe the cast of characters around him could be a little bit better than what he left in Green Bay defensively, we know Green Bay's defense let them down, and yep, I think that that can help him. Not It's very similar to Brady's situation. And why I think, you know, Tom Brady talking about it is fitting because not that the Jets were already made team, but they needed a quarterback just like Tampa Bay needed a quarterback that didn't throw interceptions, and and it worked out well for him. But yeah, I get this. I also think that Rogers is such a good uh manipulator. And I don't mean this in a in a in a personal sort of way, but you know, there are times when maybe he won't throw an interception, you know, didn't want to throw interceptions, always keeping the interceptions numbers low, figuring out, you know, ways to you know, I don't know if it's taking a sack or doing something, but there is he does do things that can fit his narrative. I will I will say that, and he's shown with that that he's been able to adjust. So I'm not saying that these moves are manipulative, but he's shown in the past that he knows how to adjust situations to make it advantageous for him. It's Also, I think he had those two MVP seasons after the uh you know dust ups in Green Bay that he had a few seasons ago.
00:14:07
Speaker 2: That's a coincidence.
00:14:08
Speaker 1: No, the the lack of interceptions, like everybody, Oh, he really takes care of the ball. It's like the like what people used to say about Kurt Warner in when he was with the Giants, right, was he would you know, he had the he took too many sacks because he had the completion percentage record, right, so he would just eat the ball. Those guys they know their numbers, they know what what what what separates them, you know, numbers wise, and they can play to it. And now does he just go out and play and sling it and not concern himself as much with turnovers? That'll be interesting.

00:15:28
Speaker 7: It's time for that's baseball.
00:15:39
Speaker 1: Well, let's start here. Twins rookie Royce Lewis had a grand slam in six RBI in the Twins twenty to six drumming of Cleveland last night. It was his third Grand Slam in the last eight games for Lewis, and the fourth Grand Slam of his young career. That's for that fourth slam set a major league record for fewest games reached four Grand slams in a career. How do you explain a relatively unknown rookie doing something and for the first time in the history of baseball, that's baseball.
00:16:12
Speaker 2: That's baseball.
00:16:19
Speaker 1: In the same twenty to six Twins win yesterday, Guardians utility infielder David Frye pitched four innings. I let me pred Their utility infielder pitched four innings, becoming the first position player to pitch at least four innings since Josia a Kendo in nineteen eighty eight. So one game produced something that's historically significant in the last thirty five years of baseball. That's baseball.
00:16:52
Speaker 2: That's baseball.
00:16:55
Speaker 1: And in an otherwise disappointing season for the San Dieo Padres Blake Stelle, it's considered for the sy Young Award as he leads the National League with a two point six to zero e r A. It's got eleven wins on this young season or old season whatever. Stell won the twenty eighteen Sion Award with the race, but he struggled with a losing record his four season team. Then and now, how do you explain the Sion Award disappointing then potential sign award in San Diego this year? That's baseball.
00:17:30
Speaker 2: That's baseball.
00:17:33
Speaker 1: Start Gottleeb Show here on Fox Sports Radio. We're coming to you live from the Tyraq dot Com studios, and let's welcome in. He's a Hall of Famer, He's synonymous with crushing quarterbacks. And what's interesting is it is interesting right that I don't know, I mean, I think most of us think of him historically as a cowboy. Of course, he won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos and that defense me Peyton will tell you the defense carried Peyton that year. And DeMarcus Ware joins us in the Doug Gottlieb Show here on Fox Sports Radio. DeMarcus, when in all truth, when you close your eyes and you see yourself playing as a Hall of Famer in the NFL, what jersey are you wearing in your in your dreams?
00:18:17
Speaker 3: A gold one quarterback? Hail?
00:18:23
Speaker 1: That's awesome?
00:18:27
Speaker 3: Uh?
00:18:27
Speaker 1: That that is awesome? What is for for? Like the Broncos are a historically great organization, the Cowboys are something different. Give me a sense what as a player and you know you were a star from the moment you were drafted with the Cowboys, so it wasn't like you had to change roles at all. What's the difference in the two playing for those two organizations? Comparing contrast if you would.
00:18:54
Speaker 3: No one organization talking about Dallas Cowboys. I mean is where you started this where you you know, you built your name for yourself, right, but you're playing for America's team, so you got to see a lot of haters but also a lot of people that love you at the same time, but then you transition into the tail end of your career and I got to see God's country, which was something that was totally different. Amazing fans playing with you know, also again a lot of amazing players, but winning a championship. So it's like you built everything up and you didn't get a championship in Dallas, but that got your opportunity to also again play for To me, I still feel like it's America's team and they and I got to win the Super Bowl there, and I think that was one of the coolest things.
00:19:47
Speaker 1: No question about. DeMarcus Ware joins us here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports treaty, whe Are you a Direct TV?
00:19:53
Speaker 6: Oh?
00:19:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, so, I mean I'm here with direct TV for business in every past media because when you start to about football, you think about where is the place you want to watch it. You go to the bars, you go to the restaurants, right and regardless of your location, you turn on the NFL ticket. And I always tell them, if you don't have the NFL ticket in any of those places, you're not watching any football. And I'm walking out. And they've been doing this for so long, for over thirty years now, and that to me is stability and I want to be part of the best, and they've been doing that, and so just bringing awareness to letting people know that if you are interging, you anywhere in this old United States of America, if you turn on that Sunday ticket, we got you. And you know, Direct TV for business business and every media is doing that.
00:20:47
Speaker 1: DeMarcus Square joins us on the Doug Gottlieb Show here on Fox Sports Radio. Let let's talk about a couple of your former teams. Let's start with the Broncos. Okay, so Fangio was tremendous with the defense. Now you bring in Sean Payton, who's known as an offensive guy. And obviously all of this is to try and resurrect Russell Wilson's career. But what of that Broncos defense? How different do you think it'll be considering most of the personnel stays the same, but Dick Fangeo isn't there.
00:21:19
Speaker 3: I think that the defense character is going to change, because when you change coaches, the mentality of the defense change in a way to where you get better. It happened with you know me, going from you know, del Rio to Waye Phillip. The mentality change. But you have a little bit of a chip on your shoulder because now now you start to really see the leaders, because in the locker room, when the leader lose their head coach, they become all of the leaders to make sure everything, you know, stays pretty close. So I think that we're going to see, you know, the defense play even better this year. They're going to be gotten closer this offseason because the meanness of the coach that's come down.
00:22:08
Speaker 1: All right, let's let's go to the Cowboys, right, Cowboys defense, uh really carried them last year, and I think it's it's interesting, right, they've kind of created their own sort of lob with the old architect of the llob. How good do you think that Cowboys defense can be?
00:22:24
Speaker 3: They're going to be really good, especially with the mentality that they have right now with DeMarcus Lawrence and Michael Parsons, those guys really taking ownership of the defense. And I mean they're playing, you know, flying around the ball, doing the small things, playing with a lot of tenacity. And this team is still going to be a defensive minded, you know team with Dan Quinn, I mean McCarthy, you know it is a new play caller, and I know that. You know they're going to do what they need to do there and be more electric, but it's still going to be a defensive minded on team.
00:23:00
Speaker 1: Marcus Square joining us here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio on behalf of Direct TV for business, DeMarcus, you've been on championship teams, You've done this before. I'm interested in and you know you've commanded big contracts. We're going to watch the Chiefs. We don't know if Chris Jones will play. Obviously he wanted top of the market money, probably not going to get it. But if you look at what's being reported over three years, there's a gap of about ten million dollars between the Chiefs and between Jones's camp. Having been a player in kind of similar situations, what's it like to have to balance out, Hey, I want to play, but I also want to get paid. How do I navigate when in fact you know I sit in order to get more money.
00:23:52
Speaker 3: It's a challenge. But you also got to understand that the the electric players on d friends all the pass rushers because they're passing the ball so much, and you got to have them, they're like them, they're super free throw they're the Michael Jordan's other teams now because of the way that things have changed on offense, and you got to have those guys. So those guys now have you know, they get paid at the premium and that's what they want. I think it's going to be a challenge for a lot of the teams. I think you know both of them, and you got, you know, Chris Jones, a couple of guys that you know holding out. I mean to those guys, I mean, you don't want to hold out because you know you can end up losing football games because you're not there. But also you got to think about it as a business and you got to get paid as well. You're worth.
00:24:42
Speaker 1: Marcus Square joining us here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio. I'm interested, really interested in the seventeen game schedule. Like we talked so much about quarterbacks and other positions, What about the defensive side of the ball. Does that change your preparation? Does that change your rehab? Does that change Does that change how you get ready for a season?
00:25:07
Speaker 3: It doesn't change how you get ready for the season. I'm just wondering if the seventeen game, if they end up breaking twenty two sacks, twenty two point five sacks and seventeen games, does that actually count? That That what I'm talking about.
00:25:19
Speaker 1: Right, I know, right, like all of a sudden, the historical significance. So do they put an astra? Are you calling for an ASTERISKA?
00:25:25
Speaker 3: I'm just I'm just throwing it out there. Hey, records are broken in seventeen games. Did you do in sixteen? If I, for guys, had an extra one game, that could be extra two or three more sacks and added on to that. But anyways, I think that you prepare the same way, but you just got to prepare in a way to where it be a really long season. That one game is it's a lot. That's a whole extra week that you're not really accounting for. And sometimes your boy week could be a little bit further down the road when you really need it at game eight and you now you're a game twelve, So that takes a big account to it, will Right.
00:26:03
Speaker 1: You were a historically great cowboy before you became a Bronco. Monday Night, We're going to see Aaron Rodgers, who's only been a packer play for the Jets. What's that first experience like where you're on a new team. What do you remember about your first game with the Broncos.
00:26:20
Speaker 3: When you I use like the analogy of when you have a fired as them, and when you get new light, new team, new camaraderie, new guys in the locker room, you start pouring gas on it. That fire starts to get really big, right, and that fire starts to spread in amongst the whole team. So then when you come out there, you know that you're welcome, you know that you're the captain, you know where you stand, and you play even better than you did just starting your career, which is one of the craziest things to think about.
00:26:59
Speaker 1: Marcus Man, I can't sell how what a great pleasure it was to watch you play football or thanks to Direct TV for allowing you to have us have us on. Thanks much for joining us to give us your thoughts as we get ready to kick off the NFL season.
00:27:11
Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
00:27:12
Speaker 1: It's Doug Gottlieb Show here on Fox Sports Radio. It's interesting, right, Like there's a guy who is was it forever? A cowboy goes to the you know, he ends up going to the Broncos and wins the Super Bowl, and I get many people's eyes viewed as a Bronco Now it's just that's a weird one. That's a weird one. M I'm intrigued. You know, we got the in the Bonus podcast, we got our pick of the day at the end of the podcast. Am I crazy buyer to sit here and go like Chiefs are still a six point favorite. I haven't looked in the last night got pulp the lines here, But I don't know. I mean, we don't know if Chris Jones is playing. We now, we don't know if Travis Kelsey's playing, Like really gonna pick that she when they.
00:28:00
Speaker 4: Get I know, I know this is this is the difficulty about Kansas City is even when they're at full strength. I mean, you know, they just I don't want to say got past the Eagles, but it was a you know, they won by a field goal in Super Bowl fifty seven. You just don't think that they're gonna lose games, but they sometimes play games closer than you would think.
00:28:19
Speaker 2: And now with the absence of.
00:28:24
Speaker 4: Possibly of Kelsey and I really I don't think that Chris Jones would even play Thursday if he, you know, signed the deal in the next twenty minutes or so, I still don't think that that's really possible, So I would consider him being out. But yeah, it's tough to it's tough to go against them. The only thing that I would maybe tend towards picking the Lions, Doug is this kickoff game seems to be a little bit heavier than it used to be. Like it used to be this raw rah like celebration and the fans are going nuts and there's no way that you're going to lose on the night that you lift the banner in your stadium, And now I just wonder maybe it's just because of the Rams game against the Bills last year is the most recent, but that maybe it's a little too much for those teams that are hosting on that night.
00:29:14
Speaker 2: I don't know.
00:29:15
Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know, because neither of us have done it right. I tend to think that I don't know. If that does that probably in the first ten minutes it matters, and then there is a level of energy expent that maybe adds to some exhaustion. But I don't know, I don't know.
00:29:33
Speaker 4: There was a streak where the home team won from two thousand and three until twenty eleven, and then the Cowboys beat the Giants, and then the home team won the next four times. But since twenty seventeen, you had the Chiefs went at New England, you had Green Bay beat the Bears, although that was just a celebration of the one hundred years you had. The Bills winning last year becomes a little bit, you know, I think it's a little bit more. But early on it seemed like it was a big advantage for the Super Bowl winner and the defending champs and the home team.
00:30:07
Speaker 2: But I don't think as much now nowadays I.
00:30:10
Speaker 1: Would tend to agree with you. I'm so excited though, just I don't know, like life's so much better when you got college football on a little bit on Thursday, still, right, You got Saturday, Sunday, Sunday night, Monday, and then you just try and fit other stuff in there, like Tuesday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
00:30:29
Speaker 7: Be sure to catch the live edition of The Doug Gottlieb Show weekdays at three pm Eastern noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

You can say on both on more progressive dot Com called one eight hundred Progressive. That from the Clemson Athletic Network. Duke beats Clemson in football and it was sealed by that Jordan Waters thirty six yard touchdown run twenty eight to seven. Oh Oh, I love it. Oh. Let me tell you. Oh, you're talking about dude, get Clemson and Florida State and Dan Baio with the press, the press. Doom doo doo doo, doom doom. Dude, Danny, what you got, buddy, Doug.
00:31:18
Speaker 4: I want to start out with the Buffalo Bills. Jason Whitlock on his Fearless show a couple of days ago, talked about information that he got and what could be the problem that Stefan Diggs has in being in Buffalo. And it's centered around Josh Allen. It's about sixty seconds, but this is what sources were telling Jason Whitlock.
00:31:38
Speaker 8: Here's what I think is at the heart of Stefan Diggs's problem. Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills. You don't got that dog getting He's not Tom Brady. He's not Joe Burrow, He's not Patrick Mahomes. He's not committed to the game. He's not committed to the study, to the level of effort that the real top flight quarterbacks put into the game. Josh Allen survives on talent and everybody in that organization knows it, and that has been at the heart of the frustration and tension with Stefan Diggs.
00:32:20
Speaker 2: That from Jason Whitlock.
00:32:25
Speaker 1: I have no doubt. I mean, for people don't know Jason Wentlock, who's kind of a resident, sort of antagonizer. What would be his his style.
00:32:34
Speaker 2: He's provocateur.
00:32:36
Speaker 1: He's a provocateur, but he was also a college faball player at ball State and and he's covered sports for years. I'd be fascinated if that's what it's about. You know, if he doesn't think the dude's all in, he's put in the work, you can't full pros And I think the proof will be in the putting there. Right, Let's see what he does this year and how much of it was covered up by the fact that his previous offensive coordinator, Brian Dable, now the head coach of the Giants, kind of made him look good.
00:33:07
Speaker 4: The other quarterback that we were talking about, say, is Dak Prescott.
00:33:10
Speaker 2: Jerry Jones.
00:33:11
Speaker 4: This was what he said earlier today had one O five point three the fan about Dak Prescott's future with the Cowboys.
00:33:17
Speaker 9: We expect with us a long time, and yeah, we were always working around it with several mascinations of numbers that would work.
00:33:31
Speaker 1: Machinations, is it?
00:33:33
Speaker 2: I'll go with you. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not sure.
00:33:38
Speaker 1: Yes, it's machinations. I don't think it's massinations. Jerry is jerrymascinations.
00:33:48
Speaker 2: He's not Gerald, it's Jerald.
00:33:50
Speaker 3: No.
00:33:51
Speaker 1: Yes, but did you know, Uh, I may be pronouncing it wrong. No, it's it's machinations. It's with a k. Uh. Well, look at the pronunciation and looks like you pronounced it either way. That's weird. That's weird. Uh.
00:34:10
Speaker 4: I like the white chocolate cookies with the machinations delicious.
00:34:17
Speaker 2: Those are good.
00:34:19
Speaker 1: You're funny.
00:34:21
Speaker 2: You know what else I thought was funny?
00:34:24
Speaker 4: Doug what Kyler Murray named a team captain for the Cardinals and we don't even know if he's gonna play this year.
00:34:29
Speaker 2: This is Jonathan Gannon on that he's.
00:34:30
Speaker 6: A franchise quarterback and everything that I want to for our captains to be.
00:34:35
Speaker 3: He demonstrates it.
00:34:38
Speaker 2: This was after Murray took the bus.
00:34:40
Speaker 1: To UH head quarters. How bad was the Jonathan Gannon speech?
00:34:47
Speaker 2: Was? It was?
00:34:49
Speaker 1: Here's what's bad about it? That was it edited by the Arizona Cardinals digital team. Well, I mean that's whatever they out there. They shot it, they chose to release it right, and it's slightly edited. I mean, there's just only so much you can do to edit something like that. Yeah, but I mean that wasn't like it wasn't like a random cell phone camera like gotcha. No, No, that was the Aaron Nozoona Cardinals team page. You know, they've done their own version of hard docks whatever. All these teams they have their own video production team. So they released that. That's the best stuff they could find. It was so bad. How are you this bad in front of a groom, a room full of men.
00:35:36
Speaker 4: The great thing is is if you wanted to show up at five am and lift weights, the bus doesn't run that early, so you wouldn't even be able to just show that you have that fire. By the way, Chandler Jones took to social media, saw that yeah, mad that he couldn't get into the Raiders facility to work out, calling out the GM Dave Ziggler and Josh McDaniels as well, but.
00:35:57
Speaker 1: It's so weird. So they have like codes. He didn't know the code. I will tell you though. Sometimes you go to Starbucks, you try and get the code and nobody knows the code. It's like, no, it's four five one two pound are you're sitting there hitting it? You sound like an idiot, like, actually it's four or five one to one, and you really gotta go.
00:36:13
Speaker 2: That's a tough one.
00:36:14
Speaker 4: Finally, Doug got the US Open Novak Djokovic on to his forty seventh career Grand Slam semi final, winning today over Taylor Fritz in straight sets at forty seven, I believe is a record.
00:36:26
Speaker 2: Novak moving on. That's the lists.
00:36:29
Speaker 1: He's awesome. May get out there and press.
00:36:32
Speaker 7: That was the press.
00:36:33
Speaker 1: I believe that's Jay Stews's favorite tennis player. Chase two are a resident anti vaxer.
00:36:38
Speaker 2: Novak's Yeah, Novak's.
00:36:39
Speaker 1: Djokovic, Novaks Jokovic. That's that's that's right. Check out the End the Motors podcast. We got some good stuff on there. We'll talk about this Spectrum debacle where you can't watch our football games. I got time sticking here. I'm I'm about to flip that bad boy. I'll tell you why. I I've had Charter Spectrum whatever since moving to Los Angeles. Also got my pick of the day on that Victor Hoblin's going to join us tomorrow.
00:37:02
Speaker 3: I was.
00:37:02

00:30:40
Speaker 1: That is our progressive play of the Day progressive making things even easier. They help you bundle your home and car insurance together.
00:37:02
Speaker 1: I just confirmed that'd be fun on the Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio,
