Speaker 2: News. This is The Closing Bell on the Stock Movers Report. The companies making moves at the close of U.S. trading with Carol Master, Tim Stenevek, Romain Bostic, and Katie Greifeld.

Speaker 4: All right, guys, let's get to some of the individual gainers, if I may. And Bumble, off the market, you might say. This says the dating app is being taken private by Ithaca Holdings for $ 1. 3 billion. It's a fraction of its value when it went public back in 2021. Ithaca Holdings paying $ 6. 05 a share, representing a 138% premium rate. over Bumble's closing share price on Friday. Now, after the deal is closed and completed, Ithaca's two CEOs will become co-CEOs of Bumble, and founder Whitney Wolf Hurd, who has often been on Bloomberg Television, will remain actively involved with Bumble. But you can see... You can understand considering that premium stock got up about 56% in today's session.
00:01:06
Speaker 3: That chart doesn't do the action justice.
00:01:09
Speaker 2: It doesn't.
00:01:10
Speaker 1: Can we zoom out?
00:01:11
Speaker 4: I'm like, where is it? I mean, I understand.
00:01:13
Speaker 1: We should zoom out to 2021 and just see where that stock was back then. For sure.
00:01:18
Speaker 4: Quite a story. Quite a story. All right. As hard a time as some do dating, I'm just going to say. It can be tricky. All right, let's go on over to... I digress, but that's kind of where my head is today. All right, let's go to Microsoft and take a look at what that stock did. It was up just about four-tenths of a percent. We brought it up because we did see the stock, and I'm just going to pull it up on my Bloomberg. Yeah, it looks like its first record close. I think I've got it right. In nearly a year, the company's seen four months of rallies, so gaining some momentum. We've seen it really... bounce off some of its recent lows. The stock has gained more than 50% from that June low. So adding roughly $ 1. 5 trillion in market value, a sentiment toward the company, its position in AI continues to improve. We should point out about 72 analysts track this company. 68 now have buy ratings. There are no sales. Average price target implying upside of about 8% over the next 12 months. So again, first record since October of 2025. So some upside there. Something different, I'm just going to throw it out at you. Ticker is FRMI, Fermi. Shares jumping as much as 25% intraday. By the close, though, just about a 14.5% gain. This $ 2. 5 billion market cap energy company signing a credit support agreement with AMD to support a lease for phase one of Project Matador. It's a data center campus in Carson County, Texas, covering 222 megawatts of gross power capacity. Stock is down about 50% year-to-date with about 25% of the float short. So a little bit of a wild, maybe potentially wild ride.
00:02:56
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:02:56
Speaker 1: Well, speaking of wild rides, we actually saw a wild ride from one of the big banks that reported earlier today.
00:03:00
Speaker 2: Look at that.
00:03:01
Speaker 1: City shares fell by 5.6%. That was its biggest drop going back to April of 2025. that's pretty wild uh interestingly enough it was actually a pretty.
00:03:12
Speaker 3: Good quarter i know this is what i don't get.
00:03:13
Speaker 1: So okay so i'll go through some of the numbers then i'm gonna give you the herman chan analysis because i think he nailed it because i asked him specifically about an hour ago like what's going on with city today uh fixed income traders had their best third quarter in at least a decade revenue of 4.4 billion dollar services saw revenue rise 15 percent um Earnings per share, $ 2. 85. That surpassed the average analyst's estimate. Revenue rose about 8%. There was some guidance that was a little conservative that Herman mentioned. And he said, you know, they did this a couple quarters ago and the stock fell. So maybe it's just conservative. That's what the bank is guiding for. So who knows? But nonetheless, Citigroup fell by 5.6%. Yeah, and at its lows. At its lows. Yeah, ending at its lows today. Good point. Another company on my radar. Let's talk... pizza. Domino's down about 4.8% today. This after the company reported total domestic stores comp sales growth for the third quarter that missed the average analyst estimate. There's a couple of things going on. Pizza chains are facing this challenge because people are budget conscious right now. They're eating out less. When they do, they go to chicken, they go to protein maxing. Here's the thing though. It's pretty tough comps because they launched delivery on DoorDash last year. And then that really popular Stuffed Crust launch that I know Carol loves that boosted the sales. So it was tough comps for Domino's. Domino's fell today by 4.8%. And finally, Six Flags Entertainment's a tragedy here. Look at this. Six Flags down today by 14.4%. A man in Georgia was killed at Six Flags over Georgia Park. It prompted the company to temporarily close similar attractions across its parks. We learned about this early today, and you saw the shares were down. The company will temporarily, as a result, close 10 rides at its theme parks amid a string of incidents at its facilities. Obviously, investors are concerned that this will affect the number of people who go to these parks when you see tragedy such as this. Six Flags Entertainment down 14% today.
00:05:11
Speaker 3: And I just want to add another mover here in the after hours, at least. According to the Financial Times, Bank of America has been fined $ 1. 2 billion over money laundering failures.
00:05:21
Speaker 2: The U.S.
00:05:21
Speaker 3: Treasury fined B of A for this egregious and continued money laundering and sanctions violations, concluding that it failed to properly report more than $ 5 billion in suspicious transactions. This covers penalties for not alerting transactions linked to potential Chinese money laundering networks and illicit finance transactions. around the U.S. southern border. This is according to the Treasury. And again, Bank of America fined $ 1. 2 billion, as reported by the Financial Times. Bank of America, of course, will be reporting earnings tomorrow before the market open.
