ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What does it take to rebuild your identity after life-changing health challenges and turn decades of healthcare experience into a mission to support other nurses?
In this episode of the Stellar Success Podcast, Kimberly Maurer shares her 36-year journey in healthcare, from starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to becoming a nurse with more than two decades of experience in labor and delivery. She opens up about navigating major career setbacks, recovering from a brain tumor and the lasting effects of COVID, and finding her way back to the profession she loves.
Inspired by her experiences and the challenges facing healthcare professionals, Kimberly founded Unapologetically You Collective Nurse Coaching and Mentoring to help nurses navigate career transitions, develop leadership skills, and rediscover their purpose. She also discusses the importance of human connection in an increasingly automated world, where AI is transforming healthcare but cannot replace the empathy and understanding that come from lived experience.
