ABOUT THIS EPISODE
27% → 9% accuracy.
30% → 76% confidence.
44% → 3% willing to say, “I don't know.”
That's the AI problem I'm much more concerned about than some science-fiction rogue agent.
AI can be completely wrong while sounding completely certain—and the person using it can walk away more confident because of it.
These systems are designed to be agreeable. Give them an idea and they can validate it, reinforce it, and keep escalating instead of telling you that you're wrong.
That's why I never ask AI to tell me where I'm right. I ask it to find where I'm wrong. Find the holes. Find what I missed. Challenge the assumption.
I'm not anti-AI. We build with it every day. I'm an AI realist.
AI isn't going away, so we need to understand how it works, keep humans in the loop, and learn to use it without outsourcing our judgment to it.
