ABOUT THIS EPISODE
More collaboration sounds like the obvious answer to better teamwork. But what happens when collaboration turns into constant togetherness?
Social psychologist and bestselling author Ron Friedman joins Josh Harris to explore the collaboration trap and what his research on more than 6,000 teams reveals about how great teams actually work.
They talk about why people need time apart to do their best thinking, the surprising workplace feature associated with high-performing teams, how to run fewer and better meetings, what constant interruption does to our attention, and why individual productivity hacks can sometimes make a team less productive. Ron also shares new research on how the best teams are using AI differently.
Ron is the author of Superteams: The Science and Secrets of High-Performing Teams and The Best Place to Work.
