Darshna Patel: body dysphorphia is not fucking real. Okay. It is literally just an illusion. It is a perception that's out of perfection with other areas of your life, has nothing to do with your body. Hello everyone and welcome back to the She's Next Level podcast. So if that is something that you want to do, then make sure that you subscribe and stick around because we release episodes every week. Today's episode is so good. Every episode is always good, but today I want to talk about body dysmorphia. And I know it's such a popular topic in society. But I really want to bring this like higher frequency perspective and understanding behind body dysmorphia to really help you fall in love with your body more. Because this is exactly what I went through. And it really helped me start to see my body as perfect. And it helped me start to shift my perspective, which if you're in this world, you know that your perception is everything. It literally shapes your reality. And I just want women to really understand this concept that I'm about to share with you because majority of women struggle with their body image. And it's just because of, you know, societal expectations and beauty standards so today we're gonna dive deeper into the spiritual energetics behind what body dysmorphia is and how you can start to use this to your advantage when you understand what the truth really is. I have struggled with body image for so fucking long. Like since I was a kid growing up, and my parents are Indian, and you know, in the Indian culture, just status and how you're perceived in the world really means a lot for some fucking reason, apart from education. And so I remember growing up, my parents would feed the fuck out of me, and they would just just nourish me with food and I loved it. Like I would get anything that I wanted when it comes to food. And growing up I started to gain weight, they would also then tell me that, hey, you're getting big, you need to lose weight. Like they would tell me in these other like subtle ways, like they weren't being like, you're fat, like lose weight. But they would just be like, like, you know, maybe eat a little less or All these things that your parents tell you out of a place of love. And I truly understand why they do the things that they do because I know they struggle with their own body and their own image, especially my mom. You know, anytime I'm like outside naked and I'm just like feeling my body and I'm just looking at my body and I'm dancing, she's like, Stop doing that. Like, have some shame. This is the shit that I hear from my mom. And I know I'm not the only one that has probably heard this, especially if you're Indian too, or in any type of culture and background. You know, growing up, we have so much pressure put on ourselves when it comes to our body. And I'm just so sick of it. And this became more important for me, especially from the past three years, because I had put on 20 to 25 pounds, which I'm gonna be showing you guys how that's not true when I talk about the truth behind what body dysphoria is. But I had thought that I put on 20 to 25 pounds because visually I'm seeing that. I'm seeing myself bigger than how I used to look like when I was at my ideal body weight. and I've really been working at it to release weight because I like to look and feel my best. Duh. So I obviously am active. You know, I eat as healthy as I can. I know my eating can be better, but I know that that food is not always the problem that people think. The energetics is really what makes things alive. The energetics is really what holds life together. It's like literally the heart of everything. And it's the thing that people often ignore because they're just not aware of the truth and they're not aware of the impact that it makes. So I've been working at this for quite some time. And it really has helped me start to see my body. In true perfection. And I know I'm not where I want to be yet with my body, but I'm starting to love it more. And I'm not criticizing things that I'm don't like. I'm actually focusing on the parts of my body that I do like. So, body dysmorphia is really just you perceiving your life as not perfect. And I talk about the law of reflections in other episodes, and I will go deeper into that in a second, but it's truly about you seeing your life in other areas of your life not perfect. What I mean by not perfect is you not liking what you're seeing, what's going on in your life. Hence, what you're able to see in your eyeballs is not the truth. And that is truly what it boils down to when it comes to body dysmorphia. And what I want women to stop doing, because I see this often, is claiming shit. So it's like claiming to have body dysmorphia and being okay with it. Why the fuck are you okay with something that you're not happy with? Like it just doesn't make any sense. I know we're all programmed by society. We're heavily influenced by a lot of the shit. You know, our brains are predictive machines. They're constantly just Wired a certain way. So it takes a lot of mental effort to just shift your brain to start thinking another way. But it's so possible. And I want you to like give yourself permission if you have been claiming that you have body dysmorphia, you've been okay with being mean to your body to really get it together and start to change the story of like, I am just seeing this differently. I know deep down isn't real, isn't right, isn't aligned, but you know what? Today I'm gonna start seeing things differently. I'm gonna get the knowledge, whatever it is that I need to help me start to see this differently and just see it as an experience versus claiming that you have something because you don't. You're only choosing to. And this is why understanding the law of reflections is so, so fucking key. And understanding why things happen on an energetic level, why the same scenarios, the same situations, and why you haven't found yourself breaking out of this constant judgment about your body. and if you want a little refresher on what the law of reflections is, it's essentially the obstacles in your life, right? It's any type of thing that you perceive as pain or as something that you don't like, a problem in your life, it is essentially just reflecting back to you what's going on internally. So any type of emotional imbalance that we have. And what I mean by imbalance is that you're settling in life. You're you know deep down that you're settling and you know that you deserve more, but you're limiting yourself in some way. That is when reflections pop up because people, situations, circumstances, events are going to reflect back to us. The universe is constantly speaking to us and reflecting back to us what's going on internally so that we can truly shift and get. closer to our goals and all of this. So I remember when I started learning about law of reflections, I was just like, what the fuck? Like everything's a fucking obstacle. And I don't know how to deal with this. This is a lot. But now every time I see a reflection coming up, which from the work that I've done, I definitely don't see them as often anymore. And I catch them when they're when they're very subtle, like my emotions, I catch when I'm emotionally like even slightly off of balance because that is what helps me not experience those big ass problems that most people experience. So when we're tying law of reflections to this concept of body dysmorphia. It's actually not real that you are experiencing body dysmorphia. That is the trickiest part. When I first learned about this, I was like, what? But it made so much sense because when you're experiencing body dysmorphia, our eyes are literally perceiving light so differently. And it's actually perceiving it, like I said, as a dysmorphic view, an imperfect view, because the way the law of reflections work. Is that you're going to experience an obstacle in whatever area of life, let's say this one is the body, the physical area of life. It's gonna be coming from another area of life when you experience that. So if you're having issues with your body and your body self-image, the issue is not at your body, like it's not even real that you may have put on, for example, for me, 20 to 25 pounds. The issue is that you're viewing an imbalance of imperfection, not being happy with what you're seeing in your life in another area of life. Like for me, my shit usually comes up from career and finances. So this concept really helped me understand that hey, I'm not seeing what's actually real. There's something else going on that's causing me to be out of love with my body and see things that are not actually true. And it's so funny because when I intuitively looked in, this is why having intuition, like scientifically trained, precise intuition, and even if you are naturally more intuitive or get the fuck on board with intuition because it's gonna help you with everything. When I intuitively looked in, I saw that I was experiencing 62% of body dysmorphia. And what that meant was me thinking that I put on 20 to 25 pounds. Wasn't even fucking true. Like the three years that I've been on my head about like fuck I gained so much weight, like 20, 25 pounds, like working out and I'm being hard on myself and I'm not loving my body for the way that it's showing up for me, regardless of all of the shit that we've been through in my body in my life. Like when I looked in, I actually only gained 12 pounds. Like realistically from the past three years. And I use intuition to really help me see the truth. But I was like, wow, I've been beating myself up for something that's not even real. And obviously, you know, this reflection for me came up from career and finances. So I have obviously been working on that to help me start to see my body in more perfection. Same with my teeth. So the front two part of my teeth, I was just starting to see like little mini separation. And I'm the type of person, like, girl, I love the details. Okay. And I really try to like not go too far into the the deep end with details because I can drive myself crazy. But I mean, that's what makes me so good at what I do because I look at the bigger picture, but I look at the details, I look at the whole fucking thing and consider different things that you know put shit together. So I'm paying attention to the detail, looking at my fucking teeth, like the little bit of a separation that I was seeing. And then when I intuitively looked in, I got that it's only a 6% separation out of a hundred percent, because that's how I measure things with intuition. And I was like, wow. And ever since I actually intuited that, I started noticing my teeth less. And I started to actually see my teeth as perfect. Like I'm not even, my eyeballs are not going straight to that thing. You know, when sometimes you're like so hyper-fixated on the problem that you have. And so all you keep seeing is that versus the whole fucking picture. Ever since I like looked in, this is what I noticed was like, no, that's not actually true. It's only 6%. So it's time to start focusing on other shit. Usually with teeth it has to do with your ideas energetically. So I started to see like, okay, even if it's six percent, what's going on with me and my ideas and how I'm feeling about my ideas that I have. Another one was my hair. So I've been on a long journey to healing and shifting my white hair. I like told myself I am not gonna dye my hair until I shift this on an energetic and physical level because I want to see what we can do here with all this cool shit. So when I looked in intuitively, you know, I got that I actually only have seven motherfucking strands of white hair. Versus me thinking, and I'm seeing this, literally, my eyeballs are seeing way more white hair than only seven strands. And so this was happening before I tapped in and I was seeing like under the hood of what's really going on. I was starting to feel like this work isn't working. Like, I don't know what I'm doing. Like, why isn't this happening? And, you know, now that I see the truth, I'm like, this makes so much sense. Why? This is happening because with intuition, your hair has to do with your intuition. It has to do with nourishment. And so when you start to see white hair, like you gotta ask those things, and you gotta ask where in other parts of your life are you feeling this way? Because it's popping up for that reason. But it's not true that your body is imperfect. This is what causes people to feel like their body is not perfect or. There's something wrong and this is why knowing the law of reflections is so important and body dysmorphia and what the truth is behind it, Because a lot of people end up focusing, even like I was, on the parts of our bodies that are not perfect that we think are so way off. Like even the face, like sometimes people can and I use this used to happen to me before, where we're looking at a camera, we like see a photo of ourselves and we feel like our like our face is like uneven. I don't know if you guys ever had that happen, but like for me, I would see that in photos. And I would cringe or like a video and I'd be like, what the fuck? But it was literally this whole concept around reflections of I'm feeling like another area of my life is out of perfection and it's not perfect. And the more we focus on what's wrong in our life, the more we're going to be shown that. This is literally the law of focus happening. And if you haven't listened to that episode, highly recommend listening to it. I dropped it recently, so you guys can go check it out on the podcast. But it'll really help you tie this in together because a lot of the universal laws are playing together in some way. And you know, as I'm exploring more of the universal laws because there's so many out there. I'm starting to see how reality works and how manifestation really comes together and how sometimes we meet we may be in our own way for things to actually manifest in our lives because of universal law playing out. and no one is exempt from universal laws, like they're happening, regardless if we're aware or not. So when we understand this concept, we start to focus less on the problem and then we start to shift it. And this is why people will also reflect back to you what's going on internally. I remember my mom and she I love her man, but she was really reflecting me hard when I was feeling some some type of way with my hair. And I remember like she would look at me and talk to me, and then like she'll immediately look up up in my hair. And I remember anytime she would do that. I would feel like even a hint of insecurity and I'd be like, what the fuck is going on? Like, is it still there? What's wrong? And I don't know about you, but it's like a pet peeve for me When people look at some different part of your body versus looking straight at your face when talking to you. It's just like a little thing. It just gives me the eck. And I just don't. I don't really like it. I don't I like to look at people like straight in the face when I'm talking to them. So I would feel some type of wait, but obviously she was reflecting back to me or she would comment something about my hair of like, like I just noticed this on your hair. And I'd be like, what the fuck? Like I know this. But she was literally just playing out what's going on internally for me, and she has to play it out. And she was basically also seeing things that are not there because I'm seeing things that are not there. It's really interesting how the law of reflection plays out and how reality is always constantly mirroring back to us what is going on. And it's really as simple as that. You know, I don't know why we complicate things so much, but like anytime I'm trying to like shift an obstacle in my life, I'm like literally verbatim, what the fuck is being played out? And that kind of helps me decode things. and so it is so important to clear these reflections playing out because then it starts to help you feel more balanced in life. And that's truly the place that you want to be in your life is really feeling balanced. When we're talking about the body, you're going to see your body as perfect. You're going to start loving your body more when you start to see other areas of your life as perfect. And I also have a unconditional self love episode on the podcast. If you guys want to listen to that to help you kind of understand more around what I mean by perfect, because essentially in a nutshell, what it means is the equal amount of positives in your life, seeing the equal amount of negatives and really getting into that place of balance so that you can move forward from a place of alignment versus an emotional charge. So a lot of us do things emotionally, you know, we act upon our limiting beliefs. And none of it is even real, like none of it is ours. And so when we start to implement unconditional self-love by seeing the positives, seeing the negatives, then we really start to see things for what they truly are and start to see things as perfect because they always are. There's always a lesson. There's always growth. There's always something for our highest good happening. And it's just a matter of a perception. That's literally the game of life is if you can master your perception, man, you are Gucci because everything is everything. And that's a whole nother fucking law. so to kind of help you guys like tie all of this in together, I want you guys to think about When you're implementing the law of reflections, maybe you are experiencing body dysmorphia, like some of these things that I mentioned. Maybe there's something in your body somewhere that you don't like that you feel like is out of perfection. And I want you to think about the highest value areas of your life. And this is kind of like a good tale telling sign, even if you don't have your intuition dialed in, to kind of give you a direction of where to go to see what area of life is out of balance. Usually For most people, it is career, it is relationships, it's family, or it could be finances too. And there's a lot more areas of life, but these are like the common. I want you guys to like kind of do a self-inventory check. Be fucking honest, bitch. and go through the the high value areas And ask yourself, like, where am I not seeing the balance in this area of life? Like, where am I feeling like, maybe it's finances? I feel like I don't have enough money, or I feel like I'm not where I want to be financially. I feel like I'm behind in life. Like all of these things are imperfections. They're happening because of an emotional imbalance, and you're not seeing the whole big picture, like source truth around how it's actually good that those things are happening. And that's truly how you start to balance things out. And it's just a muscle because that in the beginning, man, I had such a hard time like, how is this perfect? What? Like, I had such a hard time getting myself to a place where I'm like, this is good. And actually feeling it, not just like intellectually thinking it, but you ought to feel it. Like, no, this is good. Like, I'm exactly where I need to be. But the more you practice this, it's literally worth it. Like, if you were to. Implement any tool in the world at all and just stick with it and run with it, and have that will be the most impactful tool in your life. It would be this: it's the ability to see the balance, the positives and negatives, Seeing the perfection in everything is truly the best fucking tool on earth. So just to kind of recap, you guys, body dysphorphia is not fucking real. Okay. It is literally just an illusion. It is a perception that's out of perfection with other areas of your life, has nothing to do with your body. And I know it feels real because we're seeing what we're seeing, but the more that we really lean on this law of reflection playing out, it's not something true. It's literally to guide you in another. Direction of hey, this is out of balance from where you want to be in your life. you will then start to fall in love with your life a lot more when you realize that, like, hey, no, I haven't gained the 20, 25 pounds that I think I have. You'll even notice that this has happened to you. It's happened to me before, where I've like seen myself look a certain way, like one day, and then another day I'm looking at myself so differently because I'm like, something changed, like I look different. How many times have we had that? This is literally the law of reflections playing out as body dysmorphia. So get your brain on board with this because this is literally the juice. This is going to help you love your body more. And I hope you enjoyed today's episode.
