ABOUT THIS EPISODE
The Sheepfiddlers Podcast returns with another packed episode as we gear up for the start of the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season.
This week we cover all the latest Aberdeen FC news, including Rachel Corsie’s appointment to the Board of Directors, permanent alcohol licences at Pittodrie, Milanovic’s move to Australia, Andrew Fasanya becoming Aberdeen’s youngest-ever first-team player, and the ongoing captaincy debate.
We also review Aberdeen’s final two Premier Sports Cup group matches as Stephen Robinson’s side completed a perfect four wins from four. We look back at the comeback victory over Queen of the South, Kevin Nisbet’s hat-trick, the comfortable 3-0 win over Kelty Hearts, Kjartan Kjartansson’s first Aberdeen goal, and the historic debut of Andrew Fasanya.
With the League Cup last-16 draw confirmed, we also discuss the tie against Dundee before looking around Scottish football, including the latest European results and the disciplinary action facing Celtic and Rangers.
The John Bleetin Section returns with another refereeing controversy, before we reveal our 2026/27 Premiership predictions. Who wins the league? Where will Aberdeen finish? Who goes down? Which player claims the Golden Boot? And what are our bold predictions for the season ahead?
Finally, we preview the opening Premiership fixture as Aberdeen welcome Hearts to Pittodrie under the Saturday night lights. We discuss Stephen Robinson’s strongest XI, Hearts’ summer rebuild under Wouter Vrancken, the tactical battle to watch, and finish with our score predictions.
As always, we round things off with Bleat of the Week and plenty of Aberdeen chat throughout.
