Ep 124
Shadow Slave: The Cursed Tyrant Asked Me Why We Had To Be (Ch 2377-2397) Audiobook Episode 124
Shadow Slave by Guiltythree.
I crossed the last bridge in Ariel's Game, ready for the fight of my life, and instead of an attack, a soft voice welcomed me. It called me liberator, and said it had been waiting for so long.
The thing on the mountain was the Snow Tyrant itself, a Puppeteer Moth so vast that when it shifted, the whole peak seemed to move. It had already shown me how terrifying its mind was. Its probing assault slipped past my Will like it was nothing, and I survived only by carving my own head into sealed partitions, trading pieces of my sanity for time.
The road here had been brutal. Two days of my memory were simply gone, stolen by a Snow Demon who somehow mesmerized even a Supreme, and Slayer was the only witness. Then Kai spotted an actual white dragon on a hill, and I blew the top off a mountain burying an endless Rat King under the rubble.
Now the moth and I stood talking. It asked why we had to be enemies, whether the fault lay with its Void or with my Flame, and every question it asked sounded reasonable, which frightened me more than any roar. Its webs still covered the world, and the true battle had not even begun.
