ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What does it really mean to be a Christian? How can you know where you'll spend eternity? And are Christians taking spiritual warfare as seriously as the Bible does?
In this week's episode of SeeKing Podcast, Adam sits down with pastor, author and speaker JP Pokluda for a wide-ranging conversation about salvation, evangelism, spiritual warfare, deliverance, parenting, accountability and what it means to live with an eternal perspective.
JP shares why he believes many people sitting in churches every Sunday have fundamentally misunderstood the gospel. He explains why salvation isn't based on being a good person, going to church or trying harder, but on trusting in what Jesus Christ accomplished through His death and resurrection.
Adam and JP also discuss the urgency of sharing the gospel. JP recounts a recent phone call with an atheist who was dying in hospice and explains why he tries to share the gospel with someone every day.
The conversation then turns to spiritual warfare and deliverance. Adam shares the frightening experiences that led him and his wife to seek help, while JP recounts an unexpected encounter that completely changed the direction of a book he was writing on spiritual warfare. Together, they discuss demons, forgiveness, faith, the armor of God and why Christians need to understand the spiritual battle taking place around them.
JP also opens up about parenting, criticism, accountability, life in the local church and staying grounded while traveling, preaching and leading in ministry.
