ABOUT THIS EPISODE
This week we're covering two huge X-Men moments in one episode. First, we break down the back half of X-Men '97 Season 2 (episodes 5-9), Wolverine's Weapon X reunion, the Danger Room fallout, Colossus's turn to the Acolytes, Gambit's possession by Apocalypse, and that gut-punch finale where Nightcrawler sacrifices himself for Rogue. We also unpack the post-credits twist: Mystique replacing Val Cooper and Graydon Creed's election as President, and what that means for the Brotherhood of Mutants heading into Season 3.
Then we shift gears to Marvel's live-action X-Men reboot, hitting theaters May 5, 2028. We react to the full cast reveal from D23: Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister — including the debate around finally casting Storm right and whether an unknown-actor bet like Maya Boyd's could be Marvel's next Hugh Jackman moment.
