00:01:01
Speaker 3: So it's like the language of like being a bar Basically, hey, barbes, leave me alone, don't bother my family.
00:01:06
Speaker 2: Y'all are terrifying to me. Okay.
00:01:08

00:01:51
Speaker 3: I've been trying to do funerals to people while they're alive. Yeah, listen.
00:01:56
Speaker 1: I had the idea the other night that I want my next birthday party to be funeral theme.
00:02:00
Speaker 2: Oh I like that.
00:02:01
Speaker 1: I want people to eulogize me to my face. We're all black, I'll roast you. Yeah yeah, funeral.
00:02:09
Speaker 2: Yes, I want to see it.
00:02:10
Speaker 3: I want to see it too, because, like, I know, funerals are for the living, but like I want to see it as a dad.
00:02:15
Speaker 2: Especially It's like who's paying for it? Like if I'm paying for it, I'm gonna.
00:02:19
Speaker 3: Be and you are paying for it, whatever your assurance, you are paying for it. So we should be there to enjoy it. I love that funeral birthday, and then I need somebody to like fall out, Like I want to do it as a cemetery, like have a grapes site. I want myey to fall out into the grapes, like.
00:02:36
Speaker 2: Like multiple excess show up at the same time each other.
00:02:40
Speaker 1: Yes, I love that doing it, and I love Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I just super vity. I love hanging out there. I love sunbathing there.
00:02:48
Speaker 2: I do.
00:02:49
Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, you've never been, Okay, so aman, I have to say this is such an a conversation right now because if you live in Los Angeles, if you don't, this is what happens at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. They have like some B list celebrities from like the sixteen hundreds or something, right, and it's a big ass like basically great hard Okay.
00:03:16
Speaker 2: They truly a.
00:03:16
Speaker 3: Graveyard, it is, but people use it like like little bodies you know wherever you know. Yeah, and people use it as a park. We watch movies there. Yeah, they don't have like Sinespia where you can go and watch a movie with ode homies.
00:03:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, and so well it does sell out. That's The only reason I haven't been because like I'm not a planner and like you have to like plan ahead to be able to go. Yeah. Yeah, but there are wild cemetery mm hmm.
00:03:42
Speaker 1: They're a wild peacocks who roam freely at Hollywood forever. It is a whimsical, macabre little moment.
00:03:48
Speaker 2: It Isna loves to use words that I don't know what they mean macob Yeah yeah, but.
00:03:55
Speaker 3: I also love that they do during Halloween, they have like the Ottles there. Yeah, so they have like a big festival walkway you can go in there. And honestly, I was checking out the whole dead situation, like where do I want to move in when I'm dead?
00:04:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, because they had like cute little hairstones with holographic photo. No way, Yes, I want to be cremated, Oh I don't.
00:04:21
Speaker 3: I just feel like, if it is a zombie situation, I want to be mobile, you know.
00:04:24
Speaker 2: Oh, you want to be there, you want to be there for the party, you want to boto.
00:04:28
Speaker 3: But then sometimes I think about being cremated and I'm like, oh, if y'all spread me on the beach, like me and my cousin joke about this because my uncle wanted to be spread on the beach and was like, oh, if we go step back to that beach and like get a little Sanda, I'd be like, oh my god, that was uncle uncle Darren. You know, like that could be.
00:04:42
Speaker 2: A like cool ashes dust to dust. Yeah. I want to be cremated and put in a little bucks. Oh I marry me with you. Maybe start me when you're tired little yeah, little baggies.
00:04:56
Speaker 1: Maybe if you die before me, which like I don't know, you get into trouble.
00:05:00
Speaker 2: Maybe wait, I get into trouble. Oh yeah, I would get into.
00:05:03
Speaker 1: Trouble because I know, like because you like snowboard and stuff and like you do deadly stuff.
00:05:08
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like I did fall off a cliff this weekend. Low bite. Yeah, that's why I'm a little slow. This is like a little bit concussed right now, not like heavily.
00:05:19
Speaker 3: I feel like we're all on the same level. Then I just got back from Vegas, so I'm a little hungover. You're a little concussed.
00:05:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just But Amanda looks young, but she's just dangerous. They are, they are, And I was wearing a helmet and everything, but it was just one of those situations where I was like in the forest snowboarding, and then I thought I was going straight, and then I reached a cliff and then I just was like, well, we're gonna have to jump. We're just gonna have to.
00:05:45
Speaker 3: I feel like.
00:05:47
Speaker 2: I stopped, but I couldn't. There was no way to go backwards.
00:05:50
Speaker 1: Well, the point is, because Lisa engages in such things as cliff jumping, she might die before me. And if you do, maybe I'll like steal some of your ashes and turn them into a little crystal where I'm like.
00:06:00
Speaker 2: I'm not gonna die. I'm pussing boots, I have nine lives.
00:06:04
Speaker 3: I believe.
00:06:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe that you are. Yeah they do.
00:06:08
Speaker 3: Though you put your ashes in like a little diamond. Sure, sure, yeah where the ashes? Oh yeah yes, But we have so many options, guys. Okay, was that depressed thing? Was that a cop? We're moving on? So we always asked on this podcast, and either of you can go first, but what's your relationship with scams? Do you love them? Do you hate them? Have you ever been scammed? Have you running these scams that are beyond the statute of limitations, Like it'll be anything.
00:06:32
Speaker 2: I am a scam but no, I I mean I got a master's degree that I feel like was a scam because it was just one year and that's like wait, drive through. That wasn't really Phoenix. No, it wasn't real university. It was the University of Virginia UVA.
00:06:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, so we very much looked down on Virginia. Oh yeah, we see because.
00:06:58
Speaker 2: We were southerird. But I don't really like emotionally associate with Virginia, even though I grew up there, because.
00:07:06
Speaker 3: There's like a river that connects Alleghany or one of those that connects like Pittsburgh and like Virginia, and it was like a dirty river and we would always be like people from Virginia bathe in there.
00:07:17
Speaker 2: I'm so dirty?
00:07:18
Speaker 3: Do you know?
00:07:21
Speaker 2: No, So I guess I guess. I guess I did go to a scam university because we bathed in rivers.
00:07:28
Speaker 3: No, we were just horrible.
00:07:30
Speaker 2: It's okay, I'll take it.
00:07:32
Speaker 1: WHOA I beef in the studio today.
00:07:34
Speaker 3: I love it because I didn't know that this beef existed. And I was like, no, we hate Yeah, I literally did it.
00:07:40
Speaker 2: Actually, we literally didn't even know who you were.
00:07:45
Speaker 3: So you've got a master's degree in one year.
00:07:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess it was like two years, but it was like five years with undergrad you know, like four plus one felt it felt scamming a master's in what public policy, which is ultimately the biggest scam public policy?
00:08:00
Speaker 3: What is that? Like you're like a politician.
00:08:02
Speaker 2: You can go into politics or you can like write policy like laws and stuff, or like work at nonprofits and okay, home on Yeah, yeah, very much energy. Yeah. But I think the reason it felt like the ultimate scam was because I started it two months before Trump won the presidential election, and so I was like, oh, like, politics isn't real. It's a big it's all a scam theater. Yeah, it is. It is pageantry. And my job was literally to like not job. My degree was literally to like write policy and try and fix like issues. And then I would try and propose things to fix the issues, and they would be like, we can't do that because like Trump is president now. And I was like, okay, so I gotta pivot.
00:08:48
Speaker 3: Just doing soft pitches to the government.
00:08:53
Speaker 1: They're like, we're really more into like interview style unscripted right now.
00:08:57
Speaker 2: That pitch is not gonna work. Yeah, have anything that's going to.
00:09:00
Speaker 3: Be like viral. Yeah, you say something we can clip out into fifteen seconds. Yeah, that's what they want, get the people going. And that's why I became a comedian. Ultimately, politics entertainment hand in hand. That's why, like when almost Wisterneger was like, I will be the governor of California, I.
00:09:17
Speaker 2: Was like, that makes sense, it's done. I want un mayor. At some point, Ross Reagan.
00:09:20
Speaker 3: Was also an actor before he became president.
00:09:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the dawn of it.
00:09:24
Speaker 1: I was actually recently reading this like slightly outdated but very interesting New York Times piece about like the rise of celebrity activism and how weird it is that we look up to like pop stars as role models for our sense of ethics and politics. And it really started during the peak cult era of the sixties and seventies, when people were like mistrusting the government and mistrusting these mainstream institutions. So they were like, well, I guess we can try celebrities. And that's like when Reagan became president.
00:09:52
Speaker 3: So many people are in the house in Elaine. I really want to know what Katy Perry thinks about it.
00:09:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like she's not good. She does not care we have if every crusoe, Yeah, which was like grow oka. So did the Kardashians. They endorsed him, but we already knew about them.
00:10:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, They're like, look, guys, he's a billionaire who wants to be mayor, so we know his intentions are good. Guys, vote for him. He's gonna get rid of the homeless and by that we mean he's gonna murder them.
00:10:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're gonna be gone. Everyone like what I know. It's like I I think I would be too frustrated to actually be in power because I would be like, look, I have a solution that would actually help everyone, and they'd be like, we can't do that.
00:10:32
Speaker 3: Don't you left the scam. That was good that you left the scam. It sucks. But politics is just theater, I mean on both sides. And look, I we had merch that was vote for the leg late twenty twenty. That was Joe Bunden. He said the police start shoot people on the legs at the heart and we were like, we'll.
00:10:47
Speaker 2: Take the leg.
00:10:48
Speaker 3: My list, we definitely gonna So it's we know we're voting for the lesser of two evils, like I honestly would vote Republican if they could get rid of like the bigotry and the racism, transphobia, and like the laws against women's bodies and our right to choose, If they would get rid of all of that, I want to keep my money.
00:11:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's their brand right now, all of that, and they're kind of like dumb, Like it's like, just change it up so it.
00:11:16
Speaker 3: Don't slap and like y'all, y'all took you'll take our language from us. This is something that tools of oppression always use. Like, so woke means like, oh, I realized that institutional racism is embedded in every foundation of this country, from you know, getting your taxes done to prisons being jerrymandered in Republican districts so that they can count all of these black and brown bodies that they incarcerate, to like oh, weed is illegal in certain states in America, but it's not in others. Or it's just like prohibition, right, yea, all this shit is woke. Right then Republicans took woke. It was like we're just gonna use this as the N word and start calling them wokes. Dude, like all these wokes, I'm like, give me black.
00:11:56
Speaker 1: People okay speaking of skit speaking the Wokes speaking of fucking scams, like, I was, uh, yes.
00:12:03
Speaker 3: Wait, what is your relationship to scams? Oh gosh, well, because we should move on with the program, right, there's.
00:12:07
Speaker 2: So many relationships.
00:12:08
Speaker 1: I mean, we talk about cults, specifically the colts that we all follow every day. Colts everything from Disney adults to Instagram therapists. So I've been thinking a lot about like what I believe is the difference between a scam and a cult. And I think like scams isn't the fundamental motivation money, whereas cults are motivated by something more like power, glory, transcendence, sometimes sex, sometimes.
00:12:35
Speaker 3: Fame, power, but it's also money, always money.
00:12:40
Speaker 2: It's off money.
00:12:42
Speaker 3: It's like power is now tied to the money. They're like, if we keep our control, we will keep the inflow of the cats.
00:12:48
Speaker 1: I think cults are trying to fill a deeper void than scams.
00:12:52
Speaker 2: At the end of the day, I think that scams are quicker.
00:12:56
Speaker 3: It's like I want to get you, Yeah, moving on to whoever I'm gonna get that like culture, Like we want to investment a scam and if you want to sign it's like ambers I.
00:13:09
Speaker 2: Feel like a scammer is someone who can turn into a cult leader, but a pro scammer moves.
00:13:14
Speaker 1: On to the next scam for sure, because they're trying to work smarter, not harder, whereas cult leaders are really working harder, not smarter.
00:13:20
Speaker 2: Let's be honest.
00:13:21
Speaker 1: Speaking of but I was gonna say, like you talking about woke and like the fucking bastardization of the term woke. I was giving a talk at a conference in Salt Lake City, Mormon capital of the world, full four ex Mormons turned sex educators.
00:13:35
Speaker 2: So this is like a fraught community and so specific, so specific, we know our audience.
00:13:45
Speaker 1: Bro. It was a fascinating but god, I loved it. But they were talking about how like as a slur in these like conservative Mormon communities, they will call anyone with the like most progressive politics a woke ster.
00:14:02
Speaker 2: A woke ster. How de weeebish is that is a fun insult. It's like they ruined that they ruined intimately. Yeah, it's never slap they do not.
00:14:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, like at least her feelings a little bit.
00:14:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, don't make it because it's goofy a woke ster.
00:14:23
Speaker 1: It's like got like a are we saying hillbilly anymore. It's got hillbilly energy that term.
00:14:28
Speaker 2: Yeah. Like I get all my news from Reddit, like, yeah, what's or one Twitter account? Yeah?
00:14:39
Speaker 3: I watch YouTube news. That's when it got the facts, like it's.
00:14:43
Speaker 2: Goofy and I watch the story news.
00:14:47
Speaker 3: Listen if you have a front face and camera, are you not a journalist?
00:14:51
Speaker 2: Yeah?
00:14:52
Speaker 3: I don't. I see it. I love it. Well, all right, y'all, we're gonna take a quick break for some non scam advertisements. Will be right back with What's and fraud? Scared God, and we're back and it's time for What's hot and fraud. This is where we want our listeners about popp and scams on the street or more often than not these days, we get a listener letter from you all. As always, snitch on your friends, your family, and your enemies at scam got uspot at gmail dot com. Just make sure the scam is retired because we don't want to what yes, fuck up your bag? Amen? So I need a name for this person, Isa Amanda. Gender doesn't matter. It could literally be anything, just a little fake name synergy.
00:15:36
Speaker 2: Can it be like Wally Wally? I like that I grew up on Wally Court. Oh, so, my friend's name is Wally perfect, but it's like gender neutral libes. For sure, it.
00:15:49
Speaker 3: Is yes, Wally. So Wally says, Hey Lacy, Hey Wally. I wanted to tell you about a recent scam my friend experience. Oh you're snitching on your friends. We love that. While on a trip to Vaco, I just got back from Vegas. I'm super hungover. It was very welcome to Vegas, baby. Then I had to work and it was exhausting.
00:16:06
Speaker 2: Here we go.
00:16:07
Speaker 3: So him and a couple other guys were out getting some drinks at a placed off the strip in Vegas. They were all pretty drunk, and my friend said that he wanted to go to a strip club. Drunk people behavior, you know. Then you go see some acrobats. That used to be my joke. I would be like, Oh, if entertainment doesn't work out, I'll be a stripper. And then I was in Miami at Club Live and looking at the strippers and I was like, oh.
00:16:28
Speaker 2: There's some own biles on a pole like hard. No, I could never do it. It's harder than what we do.
00:16:35
Speaker 3: I've seen the surfboard live and I was like, the upper body strength that this. I don't have it. Heavy doors are challenging for me. I can't climb with my body, agreed Upper Pole. No, they got it like I respect it truly. So they want to go to strip club because why wouldn't you? So he found one that he wanted based on good Google reviews.
00:16:55
Speaker 2: Got it do that research where the Google reviews four stars. Ass was clapping it got a lot of dance for ask that applauses.
00:17:06
Speaker 3: Yeah, comes to the strip club? What like very clean bathroom, delicious.
00:17:11
Speaker 2: Wings, like accepts two dollar bills. I don't know, Yeah, takes venmo, very friendly stam is Google reviews like, it's just a strip club. I don't know, but I love it. So once in the uber, the driver told them that the place was no longer at that address, but the driver could take them to their new location. Okay, what I get an Uber? And they said the place no longer at the what everybody knows you? Wait? Also the uber driver suggested the new location. Yeah, where did that come from? And what didn't we all stopped immediately, But we were.
00:17:47
Speaker 3: Doing something of a tour guy myself, Yeah.
00:17:50
Speaker 1: Well, have you ever been to a small town where like they don't really have uber. They just have like one guy who drives around their sedan and it's.
00:17:57
Speaker 2: Like, oh yeah, you're just think Vegas. No, that's Vegas, and this is a small town with Yeah they've never heard of like ride shairs because nobody.
00:18:10
Speaker 3: That spot is at a new location. Is this a food truck?
00:18:14
Speaker 2: Wait? Hold on, like so this is this story is happening in Vegas? Yeah? Yeah, and the strip club was closed down.
00:18:21
Speaker 3: Well, the strip club is at a new location, according to the uber drive.
00:18:25
Speaker 2: That feels like a scamp. That feels like a little red bells. Immediately the bells. I don't know where the bells come from. Alarm bells. So concussion red bells, red black alarm MRI.
00:18:38
Speaker 3: Right, we do have an MRI machine as serious honestly, so much I would believe it.
00:18:47
Speaker 2: But yeah, so he's tepe to a new spot, I guess.
00:18:50
Speaker 3: Okay. So unsurprisingly they end up at a completely different strip club, du not the one that they had originally wanted. The rating was quite a bit worse, and charged to get in was hired not y'all Google, Well I get okay, we still gon see booty, let's just go. Yeah, how was it worse?
00:19:09
Speaker 2: They were like wings not good. I don't know. A st basic, No, a strip club is not well. Actually, have you guys ever been? Yeah, I feel like maybe the dancers weren't that good, you know, maybe less energy, But how would they know because they never went to the first so sweaty.
00:19:26
Speaker 3: I don't know what makes a strip club worse in reviews, but they ended up at a worse place.
00:19:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean a strip club is a strip club. It's like, I don't know, I have my faves.
00:19:36
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, John Boses, Yeah, the girls have personality over there.
00:19:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a reality TV show. You're gonna have a nice chat, they're gonna They're not fully naked, no, yeah, they just war swimsuits.
00:19:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that.
00:19:50
Speaker 3: I love it. Yeah, because in LA you can't be fully naked at a strip club unless you don't serve alcohol.
00:19:55
Speaker 2: So if they serve alcohol, you can't see no lips and it's like get drunk to give tips. Yes, and that's what's important because capitalism.
00:20:05
Speaker 3: Truly, I think you have to work harder if you can't put your nipple out there, though I feel like you do.
00:20:11
Speaker 2: Definitely. They do a lot of tricks and sometimes if I'm being completely honest, the tricks make me uncomfortable because I'm like, I can't do the splits like that. That hurts me to watch.
00:20:19
Speaker 1: Okay because okay, okay, I swear to God, I thought you were going to be like I'm an m path and when they do the splits it hurts.
00:20:28
Speaker 2: No, everything else, everything else when they do the splits, know everything else I'm there for, but like I will give them. I have to like limit myself at jump bos. I'm like one hour or else. My whole bank account is that.
00:20:42
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I don't remember how much I spent one time, but they did give me a hat, so uh it was probably too much.
00:20:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're getting swagged, yeah, they give you merch. That's a red bell.
00:20:54
Speaker 1: That's a that's a red bell.
00:20:58
Speaker 3: Okay, so this writing was worse.
00:21:01
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:21:02
Speaker 3: Bathroom is I guess, not as clean, not as fun as the strip club as we go to. They said the place was all around pretty aggressive when it came to drinks and dances and up charge them on everything. What do you mean aggressive when it comes to drinks and dances? Like hey, you right now, like what you have.
00:21:19
Speaker 2: To dance or else you have to get up like order more drinks or leave.
00:21:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know like where. I don't like this negative attitude. You're just like you're out, you're in Vegas.
00:21:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think you.
00:21:32
Speaker 3: Have to have that illusion of like, oh hey, daddy, like would you like a dance? And it feels like they were like deebo like sit on them, give you dance? Right, Yeah, get your wallet out, bitch, get your square out.
00:21:42
Speaker 2: We take square.
00:21:43
Speaker 3: Let me get it out like like it feels aggressive.
00:21:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, like you have to you have to play along, like even though like we know you're working, and you know you're working, it's like pretend.
00:21:54
Speaker 3: Made us pretend that. Yeah, that's why I would never be a good stripper. Also, I remember I auditioned for Pea Valley, which I could never have done that role because I don't want to be listen, I'm not gonna get Hallie you know yea for these cities, but Master's Ball, like I at least want to get like sell one titty for like a few hundred thou like I should just be giving up the titties for a regular rate. So but I did the audition and I sent it to my friends and they were like your stripper dance is just very aggressive. But it was just because I was like Poppa by but like you like this like and they were like, no, you gotta be sexier.
00:22:26
Speaker 2: You were like I need the.
00:22:30
Speaker 3: Wow, that's aspirational, probably pushing with my hand out like oh my gosh.
00:22:37
Speaker 1: That reminds me of like I grew up going to the Outer Banks. That was like the beach that my family would go to, and there were all these restaurant chains that were called things like eat and get the hell out, or like the servers would be like super rude to you as a bit oh a king, and everybody loved it.
00:22:50
Speaker 2: It was it was kinky. That's like LA, but it's not a bit.
00:22:54
Speaker 1: It's not a bit. It's called like La scala.
00:22:57
Speaker 3: Listen, nobody will be meaner to you in LA than a hostess and all black. Yeah, and don't letter have a ponytail? Okay, you're not getting shit.
00:23:04
Speaker 2: Yeah. True, it's like.
00:23:05
Speaker 3: Hilario, I am the love.
00:23:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, what bit you make?
00:23:09
Speaker 3: Twelve? I was an hour? Why are you being road to be like this?
00:23:11
Speaker 2: Yeah? And then they see you and they're like what you guys want water or something? Yeah?
00:23:16
Speaker 3: No, our menu is all qrcus but you have to find it.
00:23:21
Speaker 2: That is so frustrating.
00:23:23
Speaker 1: Wow, you both are really good at speaking without moving your lips at all.
00:23:27
Speaker 2: That'll how you stay young.
00:23:28
Speaker 3: Don't move your fez. Emoting is death.
00:23:30
Speaker 2: Yeah you don't know that? So true.
00:23:33
Speaker 3: So wrapping up Wally's story here, So Wally said the strippers were aggressive.
00:23:40
Speaker 2: I don't like Wally's attitude. I straight up did not like Wally's attitude.
00:23:43
Speaker 3: So said, it took them way too long to figure out that the driver was definitely getting some kind of kickbag for taking drunk tourists there. I don't know if the lesson here is to not in your night at a strip club, or to never trust your uber driver, or don't trust anything in Vegas because the whole city is a scam. Oh yeah, and then some nice stuff, thank.
00:23:59
Speaker 2: You so much. While I mean Vegas is literally a skim.
00:24:03
Speaker 3: You go to any hotel there, they purposely don't have clocks anywhere visible because they don't want you to know what time it is. They pump it with the best oxygen because the more pure the oxygen, the more you're awake, so you stay awake longer, cure your hangover faster. Yeah, and they'll get your money.
00:24:20
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:24:21
Speaker 2: I mean, then you can turn around immediately and start drinking in the morning.
00:24:24
Speaker 3: The drinks are free in the casino and the girls come up like, hey, give me them drinks, so or like so you.
00:24:29
Speaker 2: Drink more and you gamble more.
00:24:31
Speaker 1: Well, and like, I mean the whole rule with gambling is like the house always wins.
00:24:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, in Vegas, the house always the only.
00:24:38
Speaker 3: One to like, the only way to win in Vegas is to leave. Yes, you make your money and you leave.
00:24:42
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:24:43
Speaker 3: I will say, this is the first time I've gone to Vegas and not left up because I was having fun. I was having a great time, and I was like, I.
00:24:51
Speaker 2: Don't know, I'm just serving money and I just want to throw the dice and have ba.
00:24:54
Speaker 3: But like to me, I was like cosmically paying a debt that I was like, I think I'm gonna get this back.
00:24:59
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:25:00
Speaker 1: Emotion well, it just reminds me so much of the multi level marketing industry, if I may make that comparison, because it's like they there is this false promise that like you can make money and you can strike it rich and win big, but really you're just paying for the experience of like shaking the dice and feeling bad, like what you're actually paying for is different from what you think you're Yeah, but I feel like you were like aware this past weekend when yeah, there you're out, I'm just having a good time, and you're like, I'm willing to pay this amount of money to roll this dice, right, Yeah.
00:25:30
Speaker 3: That's literally what I was doing, and I was having a great time. There are times where I was up, I was hitting all the points, and there was times where I lost money and it was like oh seven our booze.
00:25:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't.
00:25:40
Speaker 3: Gamble with money that I need.
00:25:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's zact.
00:25:43
Speaker 3: You take money out of the ATM and you're like, this is money for fun. Because if you ever, if you're out there, you go towo casino. Yo, if you see somebody who looked like they got three child support payments before they house go get bankrupt, it like get away from that table. Yeah, they look like they're a strategic gambler if they're too serious, if they're like flipping the dice too many times, trying to get it and blowing on him. It's sucond onimous ship trying to get the digital getaway.
00:26:05
Speaker 2: But they need that money. You don't go to Vegas because.
00:26:08
Speaker 3: You need money.
00:26:09
Speaker 2: No, yeah, you go Vegas because you have money. Oh right, that's so fucking sad.
00:26:13
Speaker 1: But also that is my exact attitude when I scroll through Instagram, like I am that sad bitch, like it's trying to get my dopamine figs, like pulling down my feet and hoping I'm gonna get like the three cherries or whatever.
00:26:25
Speaker 2: The thing about like having the way that you win Vegas is to leave Vegas reminds me of like something my dad always says about Black Friday. He's like, you want to save money on Black Friday, don't go shopping. Yeah, Like that's the.
00:26:38
Speaker 3: Way to save That's really the plug right there. See your dad really had the moment. Don't go wow. Because also if you go to Black Friday, you know, we're in late stage capitalism. It's getting very ghetto out here, and people be.
00:26:52
Speaker 2: Dying at Black They they are. That's right, embarrassing, dude.
00:26:57
Speaker 3: That's how that trampled today stepped on me a lot.
00:27:01
Speaker 2: That's ghetto. I know all the way people too, It's people all the way. In my sleep, yeah, I would.
00:27:06
Speaker 3: Have died like ow ow's.
00:27:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, how are they gonna cremate you? If you're well?
00:27:12
Speaker 1: I guess if your body's mangled, you're gonna get cremated.
00:27:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's no, not not even gonna be cute. When they scooped me up to.
00:27:17
Speaker 1: Take her shoulder, I found it, But isn't it? That's how people are dying in crowd crushes and stomplings these days, and it is lates.
00:27:28
Speaker 3: He's stompling, goofy stomping.
00:27:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, but like, honestly, it's like the Halloween party, the like last year in Asia when everybody died in the crowd crush and then there was the what was it?
00:27:41
Speaker 2: The was it the Travis Scott crowd crush?
00:27:43
Speaker 1: And then the and then the freaking Black Friday stomplings. Like that is late stage capitalism. People are dying in these goofy ways.
00:27:50
Speaker 3: And it's like everyone was taking a video and it's like, why are you taking a video while people were like actively dying.
00:27:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, it reminds me of this Like TikTok I saw of this woman going on a jog and behind her was a moose, and a moose was like about to trample the woman on a jog and the woman in the car was just taking the video, and then you hear the voice of her daughter in the backseat being like, Mom, aren't you gonna warn her? Well, yeah, because we're just embodying the video of this woman gonna get trampled by a moose and warming.
00:28:18
Speaker 3: Everyone wants to go viral. I don't understand. I understood in the early two thousands when people were dancing at their weddings or dancing down their aisles and it seemed cute. But now it's like everyone wants to go viral so bad, and I'm like, bitch, you are a registered nurse.
00:28:31
Speaker 2: Why are you trying to go viral? So many nurses vils?
00:28:36
Speaker 3: Bitch and do your job? Yeah, how to dancing in the nick you like this? Baby Doe?
00:28:43
Speaker 2: Like what? You just came across that nurse the other day. They got on you so much. Where is a nurse that was on my page? And I was just like, I can't do this right now? You need it. I thought she was a dentist.
00:28:53
Speaker 3: Actually, oh, Dennis, y'all know how I feel about I actually.
00:28:57
Speaker 2: Just learned from my friend who's a dentist. Now finally she like finished school that she gets bonuses when she convinces people to like do extra work on their teeth. Of course. Yeah.
00:29:09
Speaker 3: Every time I go to the dentist's like going to the mechanic, I get up sold.
00:29:13
Speaker 2: They're like, you need new rooms, and I'm like, I need new gum rooms.
00:29:16
Speaker 1: Like it's such bullshit. Oh my god, I'm so glad we're talking about dentistry. I refuse to. I still have my wisdom teeth. I will be having my wisdom teeth.
00:29:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, keep having them.
00:29:26
Speaker 2: You will not take my wisdom teeth just because you said, yeah, bitch. I mean they did have to take mine, but it was like an emergency takeout because like it was, it was hurting. Yeah, it was like, gave me like a piercing headache, and he's like, in the next twenty four hours, I had to get them.
00:29:39
Speaker 3: Dental pain is the worst pain. Honestly. You'll if you're out there and you need to call off from work, tell them you got an impacted tooth or a toothache, because that's really good. Anybody who's experienced that knows that it goes up to your brain and you're like fucking crazy. But no, I had my Luckily, I had one dentist who wasn't a scammer and told me that the only reason people want to take out my wisdom teeth was because they want to make a bag.
00:30:00
Speaker 2: That's an easy bag just taking out for it's so much money. I think one.
00:30:03
Speaker 3: Thousand dollars to take out fourteenth that you don't need to have taken out.
00:30:06
Speaker 2: I always knew it was a scam because I'm from Columbia and I would only go to the dentist in Colombia because it would it literally is cheaper to fly to another country, go to the dentist and flys.
00:30:16
Speaker 3: Wow, you did the bb off.
00:30:18
Speaker 2: For your teeth my whole life because I would go once a year to like see my grandma and stuff. So I was like, oh, just check in.
00:30:25
Speaker 3: Wow, bbut bring me, bring me, we all go get our teeth into Colombia.
00:30:30
Speaker 1: I will stay like one of those resorts together, like recovering.
00:30:34
Speaker 3: Those slices are cheap to Columbia.
00:30:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, and the food so good and cheap.
00:30:38
Speaker 3: Buzz.
00:30:39
Speaker 2: We'll stay with Tita. Yeah, yeah, my grandma.
00:30:42
Speaker 3: Ye, let's go. Oh shit, Okay those mamas all right, We're taking another quick break for some non scam advertisings we'll be right back with my favorite part of the show, Historic Hoodwings Run. And we are back and it's time for Historic Hoodwings. We don't scam on the show. So I want to note up top much of the story was researched through Gabrielle Bluestone's Intelligencer investigative article, and this is what it's called. I more so consider myself a con artist than anything what Danielle Miller learned at the Horseman and Rikers. Okay, well, I just want to double down that much of this, much of this researchers coming from somebody else was Okay, yeah, y'all don't it's my Albugatto fund. Okay, we might need an ambulance chaser lawyer. Content warning. There is a mention of revenge porn and coercive suicide threats. We'll skim over that. You know, we don't do the dark stuff, but we just want to put it up top there. Uh So we're talking about Daniel Miller.
00:31:40
Speaker 1: Uh.
00:31:40
Speaker 3: Daniel Miller is a former New York socialite turned influencer dash scammer who not only wasn't shy about her crimes, but created a social media career posting about them. I love that. She was like, and while I'm doing this robbery ski mask.
00:31:55
Speaker 2: I love that because it's like there's one thing that people are gonna follow on the internet. It's a how to video, you know. And she said, here is how to scale TiO.
00:32:07
Speaker 3: The girls need tips. And this is Danielle right here. She's blowing out her vape feet kicked out.
00:32:16
Speaker 2: Cool?
00:32:17
Speaker 3: Is that that clear sandal heel that she got.
00:32:19
Speaker 2: All the loose sight like a kitten heel.
00:32:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, and a little bit of titty, just a little bra.
00:32:26
Speaker 2: I love that, like a button up shirt showing some I was just wearing something like that yesterday where it shows your she got hella art.
00:32:34
Speaker 3: Not all of it is hung yet, but she's like.
00:32:36
Speaker 2: Which is even cooler. She's busy.
00:32:38
Speaker 1: I mean her couch is microfiber, which is a red bell. But yeah, net positive vibes from her though.
00:32:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, it could be given a little like Ashley furniture. Yeah, discount.
00:32:50
Speaker 2: Also, the blurriness of the picture does give Anna delvi because like Anna Deelviy's like superpower was being so mysterious that you could never tell she didn't have that much, right. The blur does help with that.
00:33:03
Speaker 3: MM hmm, okay, there's also a bike up there. Yeah, yeah, is your apartment. But I almost feel like she bikes. No, she's not giving me bike or energy.
00:33:12
Speaker 1: No, No, I bet an X left that there and never came and got it.
00:33:16
Speaker 2: It looks kind of like a mountain bike, giving aesthetic.
00:33:18
Speaker 3: She was just like put the bike in the frame so the girls know that I off road.
00:33:23
Speaker 1: I have a beach cruiser in my front yard that I just used as a flower pot.
00:33:27
Speaker 2: Love that, Thank you, love that.
00:33:29
Speaker 3: That's so cute. Guys, kitchy, get into it. That's your bike, okay.
00:33:35
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:33:35
Speaker 3: So her father, Michael Miller, is in a state attorney and he was the former president of the New York State Bar Association. And her mother was a rocket for twenty years. So her mom's a babbage with legs. Yeah, she was a rocket. So she was kicking everybody.
00:33:51
Speaker 2: Can can Can you do the can can? Yes? And her father was an attorney who was the president of that's our state arge position. That's cloud. No, that's like.
00:34:03
Speaker 3: She's a neple baby, yeah, Dan, y'elle, it's giving a neple energy. As a child, and Yelle attended Horseman School. Her father's K through twelve. Alma Mater No Horseman's School is a private, independent college preparatory school in the Bronx, founded in eighteen eighty seven. It's in the Bronx.
00:34:19
Speaker 2: A lot of prep schools in New York City are in the Bronx, which is like weird and fucked up, but like really expensive ones.
00:34:26
Speaker 1: The wealth disparity is banana because the schools.
00:34:29
Speaker 2: Are huge, so they just buy like huge plus all those prep schools cults, cult energy.
00:34:36
Speaker 3: Listen, if I have a nepple baby, I want to put them in a cult school so they can gossip girl their way.
00:34:41
Speaker 2: So that's yeah, exactly.
00:34:42
Speaker 1: Oh you know what, I think a prep school is a great example of something that is not a scam but is a cult.
00:34:47
Speaker 2: Yes, you know what I mean. Yeah, because like.
00:34:50
Speaker 3: Scam because you do get the returns if your kid makes it all the way through, like they're pipelined did. Yeah, like the high end schools and the high end money. But it is a cult of like all the mom trying to get in power dynamics.
00:35:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, they figured it out.
00:35:04
Speaker 3: I love that. I mean even Blue Ivy she went to a private school. She's still in school, probably but performed at the private school.
00:35:15
Speaker 2: That's why, dude, I'm so cool. I want to go to that school. Should become a teacher, just so that I could be now for the next performance. No, I babysat a girl in college.
00:35:25
Speaker 1: I went to college in Manhattan, and I babysat a girl who went to a prep school there, and the bought Mitzvah performances that she would get to see in seventh grade. I think ed Sheeran performed at one of her friends bought Mitzvah's. I was like, ma'am, it also, you look like a Manhattan nanny, thank you.
00:35:43
Speaker 3: So like that's you know, it's like people in Manhattan who want nanny so are like they need to also be a little hot though, so that represents that I'm rich enough to hire hot people.
00:35:53
Speaker 1: Oh my god, I was a really ugly college student though.
00:35:56
Speaker 2: So yeah, I definitely got to go up after college, I'll be honest.
00:36:02
Speaker 3: So in two thousand and four, when Danielle was in the eighth grade, she became the victim of a highly publicized revenge porn scandal. Oh no, eighth grade is like thirteen twelve, which led to so far bullet harassment until her high school graduation. That's fucked up.
00:36:17
Speaker 2: We don't like it.
00:36:18
Speaker 3: They yell escaped Horseman and New York by enrolling in Arizona State University and graduated.
00:36:23
Speaker 2: Twitch.
00:36:23
Speaker 3: Wait, you took a.
00:36:25
Speaker 2: Steep hard tournament Arizona State.
00:36:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, no shade to Arizona State. But if you went there, you know the vibes.
00:36:33
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:36:34
Speaker 2: And if you didn't go there and you know someone who went there, you know the vibes.
00:36:37
Speaker 1: I don't know anything about anything, and I know the vibes.
00:36:42
Speaker 2: She took a hard pivot. Yeah. Why didn't she go to like Europe or something. It's like, yeah, Arizona State, ma'am. She wanted to play flip cup. Yeah, and she did. She and that she did.
00:36:53
Speaker 3: She flipped so many cooks she flipped.
00:36:56
Speaker 2: She stacked him even right, Okay.
00:36:58
Speaker 3: It's a pyramid a beer. Okay, Minia cake, Minia k stand pyramid into a pyramid, Steve.
00:37:05
Speaker 1: So.
00:37:05
Speaker 3: After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, where she lived in a pool cabana suite at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for several months and took an entry level PR job like so little PR jobs, which is probably on the carpet, ushering people around whatever.
00:37:19
Speaker 2: She's in LA. Also, she's living at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. That sounds lit.
00:37:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not mad at it.
00:37:27
Speaker 2: So, I mean her parents are definitely funding the experience, oh for sure.
00:37:30
Speaker 3: In twenty thirteen, Danielle's friend group of former Horseman socialites. We have a picture of Danielle Paris and Baron Hilton to the right. So Danielle still knew the girls. Okay, she was still at the clubs.
00:37:43
Speaker 2: It's so funny to make when people post a picture that they were like taken, that was taken of them, as if there was paparazzi, you know, but they posted on their Instagram.
00:37:54
Speaker 3: I know people who do that. I know Instagram couples who literally take pictures looking down as if like paparazzi.
00:38:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they post them and I love it. It's so messy.
00:38:03
Speaker 3: It's so insane to me, and I'm like, whatever delusional land you're living in, like, let me dipotote, I just want to swim on the shallow end of your delusion. It's so fun Yes, so they're taking these pictures, right, So Danielle had this popin ass friand group. Right, she got Paris Hilton, Baron Hilton. This other person, Quentin Esmi Brown, who is known for her platonic Vegas wedding to Pc Peterson, who's like a former star of Bravo's New York City Prep.
00:38:26
Speaker 2: Bro I watched that show.
00:38:27
Speaker 3: I have never seen that show, but Bravo is a cult. Yes, yes, and he's the grandson of Pete Peterson, who's the founder of the private equity firm Blackstone, which private equity. They have a lot of money.
00:38:40
Speaker 2: There are so many people on this earth, truly, and a lot of them have money.
00:38:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, and private equity Blackstone, that firm they made headlines after tifpity Trump served as their flower girl.
00:38:51
Speaker 2: So oh, I have a friend from college who worked there. It is like big time, big time money. Yes.
00:39:01
Speaker 3: So Quentin and Pc got married in a sexless open marriage.
00:39:06
Speaker 1: Okay, oh Issa, we're in a sexless open marriage.
00:39:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, girlfriend my boyfriend? Yeah, yeah, I can You know what if I don't get married for love soon, I need to do a sexist open marriage just for the tax break.
00:39:21
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:39:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, marry another friend who's doing well and then you'll both be doing better.
00:39:26
Speaker 1: Oh, that's a gorgeous idea. Yeah, we should we get some dependence.
00:39:31
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I love it.
00:39:33
Speaker 3: So healthcare now yes. Not long after Danielle reintroduced herself to Quintin, she asked Quinton to buy a table at a charity event hosted by her employer, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. Quentin initially said no. She was like, no, girl, I'm just doing my sexless open marriage. I'm busy. Because the table costs four thousand dollars, So she was like no, I'm actually good. Quinton later agreed, and Danielle offered to pay for it herself. So Danielle was like, quick, hey, just come and give us your celebrity. I'll pay for the table. So a few weeks later, Quinton received an angry call from her mother about because all one thousand dollars she supposedly spent in a single month.
00:40:17
Speaker 2: It's funny that it has to get to twenty thousand dollars for these kids to get a phone call from their parents.
00:40:22
Speaker 3: They're like, four is fine, ten whatever, Hey.
00:40:26
Speaker 2: This twenty seems a little fraudulet and it's just and it's just an inquiry.
00:40:30
Speaker 1: Like it's it's just a bear like Hey, what is this little charge right here on the bill?
00:40:34
Speaker 2: Twenty thousand dollars this month?
00:40:36
Speaker 3: What'd you get?
00:40:37
Speaker 2: Can I get one?
00:40:38
Speaker 3: So Quintin had no idea what she was talking about, but when she went to the bank to reprint the checks that had come out of her account, five came through written to Danielle Miller, including one of the Chamber of Commerce. Event So Danielle somehow got her checkbook and started making out checks to herself.
00:40:55
Speaker 1: Checks are a red flag, a red bell. Why is anyone using checks anymore?
00:41:00
Speaker 2: This all is also just like a red bell because daniel came from a rich family. It's like, why are you scamming your friends? It's like a sick fetish dude.
00:41:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, sometimes you have connections and you may not have the money anymore.
00:41:12
Speaker 1: Though this reminds me of how in like the UK, and I had a British friend explain this crudely to me, how like there are certain families who have more money, but then there are certain families who might have less money but are known as posh because they're bloodlin.
00:41:26
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:41:27
Speaker 3: Social capital, which like honestly is just a thing for like ugly and secure people to feel special about. Yeah, because if you're like super rich, if you're like blue blood rich, they're like, oh, your daughter's a model, an actor. They look at that like sex work, which I don't look at any of those negatively, but it's like we all are kind of selling our bodies for money if you're entertainment, right, So.
00:41:48
Speaker 2: Like, oh my god, your kids have to work for money?
00:41:50
Speaker 3: How ghetto?
00:41:51
Speaker 1: Well that's why that's why the Hammer family oh.
00:41:53
Speaker 3: W two, we haven't seen one of those in three hundred years. Yeah, but it's also you're just like ugly and boring. You something to make yourself feel better than all the hot, interesting people. Sorry, yeah, facts, but whatever foils your boat. So instead of being angry and pressing charges, Quentin's mother called Danielle's father, who promised he would recover the stolen money if Danielle didn't pay it back. Danielle denies this exchange ever happened. So that's the other thing about being super rich is like, is that barrassing?
00:42:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, to get scam for sure, because.
00:42:27
Speaker 3: They're like, oh my god, the girls are gonna think I'm stupid, so we have to sweep this under the rug. Oh yeah, dude, we know betterman to hide the body, like.
00:42:34
Speaker 1: We swear to God, we know this from personal experience that people who have a shitload of money care way more about their pride.
00:42:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, ego, ego, ego.
00:42:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's embarrassing to be in the papers like ooh, you're a rude Yeah.
00:42:46
Speaker 2: And also for them then they want to be like, oh, twenty thousand dollars, it wasn't that big of a deal.
00:42:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, we didn't report it to the police because who cares about a million dollars?
00:42:55
Speaker 2: Yeahah, and it's like, okay, I gonna give it to me, hike. But also, y'all rob rich people they're too embarrassed to tell.
00:43:02
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:43:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, smart will never snitch on you. So this incident left Quentin shaken. Quentin was shook. Okay, this was very different from Danielle's childhood. And this is what Quentin said. Quentin said, really honestly, to me, she's very chameleon like, cold and like an unrecognizable person from the person that I knew. Okay, I mean she robbed you.
00:43:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, people aren't that warm when they rob you.
00:43:29
Speaker 3: So in spite of Daniel's father, he allegedly promises right that he's going to repay the money if she doesn't. Once her parents learned of the trouble she had caused, they cut her off entirely. So Danielle got.
00:43:40
Speaker 2: Yes, So she hadn't been cut off yet. No, And she was scamming for twenty and now she's been I told y'all, like some scammers, it's a passion. Yeah, it's like when rich people like steal little things at stores, because.
00:43:55
Speaker 3: Which, honestly, society we failed when we judged Wanana from getting her high from stealing a few things from the Nemans or what.
00:44:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, and also like if you're gonna steal, like just steal from like a corporation, and like.
00:44:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, she should have been an icon for that. I imagine she stole the stuff and that got her car. I smoked a cigarette real hard.
00:44:14
Speaker 2: Like yeah, like it was just such a high. Yeah, it's a cheap thrie I get in my high school.
00:44:20
Speaker 1: I mean, I went to like a grody arts high school, public high school, but it was definitely like a little like deviant hobby for the little nasty art school kids to go shoplift at Kohl's.
00:44:31
Speaker 2: I stole like one thing from Walmart when I was in like seventh grade and then I like had nightmares about it for weeks.
00:44:37
Speaker 3: I did the same thing. I stole a lip chap from Walmart.
00:44:40
Speaker 2: For the high Yeah, for the because my friends convinced me. And then I was just like never again. Same.
00:44:46
Speaker 3: Oh no, that's a lie the second time that I stole. But this was my fault. My parents were very type A and like I would get in trouble for like, okay, if I got to be on like a history project, my mom would seriously look me in the face and be like, so you want to go to the military. Oh whoa oh, And I was like, wait, bitch is a fucking bee, And also, this is middle school, the shit don't camp yeah, and pray up. So I got in trouble because my room wasn't clean. But I was still going to camp because in Texas, at least when I was a kid at ten years old, they had this camp that I now realized all the teachers were drunk at but as a kid I didn't realize. So we go to this camp in the woods or whatever, and we did a murder mystery where all the teachers were like suspects, but they would all be in these different places in the camp and we'd get all this information. Right, my mom sends me with no money because she's mad that my room's dirty. Right, Yeah, But I was like, bitch, I'm leaving with something Denzel Washington. So I went to the little camp store and I stole all this stuff. Oh, I stole so much shit, And then karma got my ass because when I got home, I still got in trouble for my room.
00:45:42
Speaker 2: But Mom let me go cause she's.
00:45:43
Speaker 3: Like, we already paid for the camp.
00:45:45
Speaker 2: She's like, it comes with it comes with this took.
00:45:49
Speaker 3: All the ship that I stole away?
00:45:51
Speaker 2: What did you get? Like bubble gun?
00:45:52
Speaker 3: Okay, I know I'm supposed to live in LA. I got some crystals. I had some rolls court. You know how the to be selling them rocks? Yeah, it's not why y'all stelling rocks? Yeah? Those are free that shall shine?
00:46:05
Speaker 1: Remember those big like what were they tubs full of the little tiny rocks and you will.
00:46:10
Speaker 2: Put your hand in do you remember that? Yes, they would have them at like, uh, I stole the velvet baggy. How did I steal the velvet baggy? Oh? I know exactly what you're talking.
00:46:21
Speaker 1: Yeah that I want to put my hand in one of those vats of pebbles.
00:46:25
Speaker 3: Right.
00:46:25
Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say my mom took it and then used it for herself.
00:46:28
Speaker 3: No, she threw it away because she was so mad about my roommate being clean. I grew up having to be a perfectionist. Yeah. Yeah, so that's the last time I stole. Okay, but and that felt bad. But then karma kind of woop my ass immediately.
00:46:40
Speaker 2: So you had to have that second coming of moment after your first.
00:46:44
Speaker 1: Well, Lisa never shoplifted, but you do write off everything on your tack.
00:46:48
Speaker 5: Okay, are you react?
00:46:53
Speaker 2: Don't? Don't take it out, just bleep it here. Okay, you got a ride in that ride off? Okay I did. I got my road in the tub.
00:47:04
Speaker 3: Okay. So the rich people hidding it up, they're not gonna say anything. Bucket scam. Right, So, in spite of Daniel's father's alleged promises, once her parents learned the scam, they cut her off.
00:47:16
Speaker 2: They were like, we're done.
00:47:18
Speaker 3: Even though the new Mercedes they had leased for her was returned to the dealership, Danielle did not stop her spending on designer goods and eight hundred dollars dinners.
00:47:26
Speaker 2: Okay, eight hundred dollars dinner. Okay, So she wasn't actually cut off, No, she was rich people cut off.
00:47:32
Speaker 1: What's the most expensive dinner you've ever had?
00:47:34
Speaker 3: Oh, twenty five thousand?
00:47:38
Speaker 2: Damn. I want to say I didn't pay for it, but like I didn't pay for it. Every year I go like skiing with some friends for my birthday and we like get a table at like Opera ski and that table does end up costing like six to ten Yeah, thousand dollars. Yeah a Canadian.
00:47:55
Speaker 3: I used to work at high end restaurants and we would have bills that were like fifty thousand.
00:47:59
Speaker 2: We were shooting literal champagne guns. It's the best day of my life. It's the best day of the year. Oh my god.
00:48:04
Speaker 1: I was about to say the most expensive meal I've ever had I had the other weekend.
00:48:06
Speaker 2: It was two hundred dollars.
00:48:09
Speaker 3: Was not the one, Uncle Samuel? Yeah, why you snitch in It's unclear where the money was coming from, since she was cut off, right and she had an entry level salary. One night in twenty fifteen, Danny All broke her back while sliding down a handrail outside of a club in her lubatants. Wow, I can relate. I once wore lubatants out of the airport. Why would I do it?
00:48:35
Speaker 2: And I got on the escalator and they ate my bitches up?
00:48:37
Speaker 3: It was very tragic.
00:48:40
Speaker 2: Don't get like Louis Bitan having like suitcases. I'm like, isn't that shit like expensive? Why am I?
00:48:46
Speaker 3: If you're flying private? I always say that if you're not flying private, you should not have designer luggage. Why are you checking the Louis bag? You're saying, you're screaming rob me, ye my bag up TSA and steal my things. You I traveled with Steve Madden luggage. I'd be kicking it a little bit.
00:49:01
Speaker 2: It's sitting.
00:49:01
Speaker 3: I get it and you know, put a little spray paint on it, make it just look as trash as pass. Yeah.
00:49:06
Speaker 2: I get my luggage that I travel with at TJ Max.
00:49:09
Speaker 3: Dude, Yeah, get your TJ Max leugeit like luggage. Don't don't do the to me. Don't let people know you have money in there.
00:49:17
Speaker 2: That's like in New York.
00:49:17
Speaker 1: If you don't want someone to steal your bike, have a shitty bike and an amazing lock.
00:49:21
Speaker 2: This is why which people get scammed because they walk around like the airport being like I wired the ten thousand dollars, and then they're like, okay, I'm gonna scam that idiot. And I also just had ten thousand dollars like that was I wired the ten million?
00:49:35
Speaker 3: Do That's why Ryan Coogler got arrested in Atlanta, and he's a huge director. He got arrested because he was trying to do the smart poor people thing. He went into the Atlanta like bank and he wrote on a little post it note, I need to take out seven thousand dollars or something like that. Right, he slides the note across. Why did the teller? She was like, oh bitch, we getting robbed because he slid the note across. Oh yes, So they called the police and had him arrested. A he wanted was to make sure that nobody knew he was walking out with that much cat.
00:50:03
Speaker 2: Oh my god, you know WHOA wow, we're at a paranoid time. We're in a paraod time. We are.
00:50:09
Speaker 3: I'm not mad at it. So let's get back to this because y'all are gonna drag my ass. Okay, We're back to the store. So she got caught up sliding down a handrail in her lubatants and this incident was a wake up call for Danielle. I gotta start living. After recovering from her injury, she reunited with her parents. She also became determined to set her life back on the right path. In twenty sixteen and enrolled in Pepperdine University's law school. She's like, I'm going back to law school again.
00:50:33
Speaker 2: In Malibill, following in my father's footsteps, right, put me.
00:50:36
Speaker 3: Back on the payroll. Parents love this for her. So Danielle said, my father thought I'd be terrible at being an attorney. He said, my ethics were off the wall.
00:50:46
Speaker 2: Well, oh, and he's on the board of the ethics.
00:50:49
Speaker 3: Oh right, so he's on the board of the attorneys. But also like, don't you have to be a little shady to be an attorney, because yeah, that's the whole game the law. We're looking for the loopholes.
00:50:58
Speaker 2: Girl, Yeah, but they just have to be like ethical enough ethical, just like know how to find the loopholes.
00:51:04
Speaker 1: Well, this is the ultimate scam because we've said this on our pod. But fake it till you make it is literally a wise proverb in this culture.
00:51:12
Speaker 3: It is always that delusion keeps you going, That's right. So the summer after her first year, she moved back to New York to intern with an old family friend, New York Justice. Old family friend, New York Justice. You don't your old family friends just be like the justice. You know, I talking about Sherry Kleine Hidler. Okay, so she hooks up with Shery. She allegedly did great both in school and in her intern role.
00:51:34
Speaker 2: So she took her life around.
00:51:35
Speaker 3: Okay. However, at the same time, her scam career was just as successful.
00:51:40
Speaker 2: Not so funny.
00:51:41
Speaker 3: She just got hobbies, which is crime. Yeah, it could be a hobby.
00:51:44
Speaker 2: Sure.
00:51:45
Speaker 3: So while she was in the city, she frequently visited the Body Factory Salon, a luxury skincare spot, using stolen credit card information. Love it a poor list queen on somebody else's time. It wasn't until one of the payments was reported as fraudulent activity that the spot took no this and notify the authorities.
00:52:01
Speaker 2: They don't give a ship. They were like, is the car clearance? Yeah? You know absolutely, Like yeah, it's like they only reported it once. They were like, we're not getting our bag exactly. Hmm.
00:52:12
Speaker 3: Okay. Once the eucalyptus check stopped clearing, they were like, okay, well, I guess we should call the authority.
00:52:17
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:52:18
Speaker 3: So at the end of the summer, Danielle went back to Pepperdin but Pepperdine excuse me. But upon her return to the spa Thanksgiving, she was met by police, not the spot, do you want to sting.
00:52:30
Speaker 2: Police? And also like for the spa is it worth it?
00:52:34
Speaker 1: Kind of Listen, I need a facial really bad personally, and I would risk a lot.
00:52:39
Speaker 3: I just don't think I'm going to a spa where I see somebody getting beat with night sticks.
00:52:43
Speaker 2: When I walk in. Yeah, I don't worry about that.
00:52:48
Speaker 3: But you facill still all the time. Yeah, you want the eucalyptus upgrade, right, Yeah?
00:52:53
Speaker 2: No, they like we just have to get something, we just have to do. God.
00:52:56
Speaker 1: I just love any scenario where like something really glam and really peaceful is juxtaposed with something like so fucked so ugly.
00:53:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like is that what is that?
00:53:08
Speaker 1: What are those fucking Is that a solo wand or like one of those what did you just say?
00:53:12
Speaker 2: A night story? Right? Yeah?
00:53:14
Speaker 3: The spots like but look how her skin lives on her way out. That mugshot gonna eat Yeah.
00:53:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, watermark on the munk shot.
00:53:22
Speaker 3: Yes, she just got that hydro facial with the microdermibration and like her mugshot gonna be That's why I.
00:53:28
Speaker 2: Did it, because it's like good promotion, good advertisement.
00:53:31
Speaker 3: The hate comes even they're not gonna leave no mark, we mores stressed her arms as well. What No, this is terrible. So she gets the police pull up on her at the spot. At the end of the summer, Danielle went back to Pepperdon Right, she goes to the spot, she's met by the police. She ultimately had stolen five thousand dollars in services and was charged with identity theft and grand larceny.
00:53:52
Speaker 2: Wown. It is a passion, And I don't think you can become a lawyer if you've been like charged at that level. Really, I feel like the people who should be doing. All I know about law is like when I learned about crime ingratiated. I only know things because of that show Megan Markle was suits. All I know about law is literally I don't know.
00:54:12
Speaker 1: I mean, I agree with you, like it's the whole catch me if you can situation where like someone is so good at writing bad checks that the FBI is.
00:54:20
Speaker 2: The like employ me. Yeah, and that's how you should be at crime.
00:54:24
Speaker 3: Get to the best level possible and then sell your skills off to the man. Yeah.
00:54:29
Speaker 2: Do what you love and do it well.
00:54:30
Speaker 3: So the case was brought to the same court she grew up visiting her father and remember her father's you know with the laws, and due to her family connection, she was released on bond after being represented by an attorney, Barry Caymans, who's also a part of Harvey Weinstein's legal team.
00:54:45
Speaker 2: Damn, you don't want to be associated to that.
00:54:48
Speaker 3: But also like controversial, if you're the nastiest man in the world, like you gotta have to have like the best lawyers.
00:54:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, those are those are the lawyers. Yeah for sure. Well, and it's also interesting because.
00:55:03
Speaker 3: It's like, I'm guilty as fuck and they got me in four K What lawyers signing up for that?
00:55:08
Speaker 1: Well, I think, and this is fascinating to me, but I think it's almost seen as like a patriotic, generous thing to do for like our system of law, to agree to represent a dangerous criminal, because it's like that's how the legal process has to continue.
00:55:24
Speaker 2: Those precedent.
00:55:25
Speaker 3: It's like you're representing like a famous nasty man, and so they're gonna be like top nasty man lawyers.
00:55:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know that's all.
00:55:33
Speaker 3: There's so many nasty mens. So yeah, don't call you next and be like, hey, I'm also a nasty man.
00:55:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how you get nasty man clients. Yeah, you'll never be out of work.
00:55:43
Speaker 3: You won there are nasty man make a lot of money. Okay, those BILLI.
00:55:48
Speaker 1: Blay hours Yeah hi, okay, those lawyers are probably at the SPA.
00:55:53
Speaker 2: They're just like getting those five thousand.
00:55:55
Speaker 3: Credit card information. Following this incident, both Daniel's parents once again cut her off. They got off again. They're like, we're sick of your shit. So the terms of Daniel's bond allowed her to return to Pepperdine back in LA so she got to go back to college while she was on bond at the jail house. Upon her return, she was introduced to Mackenzie Day, a model and marine veteran who worked in influencer modeling.
00:56:19
Speaker 2: That's a lot of things.
00:56:21
Speaker 3: A model, a marine veteran, an influencer is Mackenzie okayaseless.
00:56:28
Speaker 2: Mackensey is not a woman. Okay, rich people always do this. Mackenzie is a male model for those at home. Yeah, but rich people are with one, two, three, four, five, six.
00:56:38
Speaker 3: Apps take six strong apps.
00:56:40
Speaker 2: They're high up, they're high up on the belly.
00:56:43
Speaker 3: Yeah. And he got that little cut. You can tell even though you can't see it. The V Yeah, the V.
00:56:48
Speaker 2: Yeah. And yet despite all of this not hot. Yeah, it's not really my type.
00:56:54
Speaker 3: It's so weird, Like it's like if you put everything in a pot to be attractive and then it just didn't. It's like a flawn. What that's like. You canay, you do it perfectly and then for some reason it falls in the oven.
00:57:09
Speaker 2: Yeah. Wells because it's like this is like it's like trying to make a soup with every ingredient in the world. It's like and yet and yet no herbs.
00:57:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, there are no seasoning. They tried though, the hair, the jaw, the ebbs. He really worked his hard.
00:57:27
Speaker 2: Is the hands well also, I think because it's like void of personality and I personally need some personality into someone.
00:57:33
Speaker 3: It's giving stock image Abercromi model.
00:57:35
Speaker 1: Absolutely all right, Mackenzie So mackenzie.
00:57:41
Speaker 3: He's a model, a veteran.
00:57:43
Speaker 2: Okay, he worked, he did, Thank you for your service.
00:57:47
Speaker 3: And an influencer marketing person. Together they launched a PR firm called new Day and it's spelled in you d a E. Okay now baby back by what Mackenzie thought was Danielle's father's money. So daniel was like, let's make this company. Boo, your apps plus my ingenuity and my Dan's money. Don't ask about him cutting me off. So their first project was producing a music video for the YouTube star for YouTube stars, the Dolan Twins. Oh, y'all don't know who they are.
00:58:18
Speaker 2: Let's look at them?
00:58:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, real quick, So this is their video, the Dolan Twins. Okay, they got a budget. Look at that house and that old car.
00:58:26
Speaker 2: Oh that's the music video.
00:58:28
Speaker 3: Yeah okay.
00:58:29
Speaker 2: So Danielle produced this so called Hawaiian party. Oh I'm intrigued. Title card go off. Oh okay, yeah, I'm gonna do it.
00:58:39
Speaker 3: Okay, be hand old school Mercedes, cute girl, the youngest white people.
00:58:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, look how youthful them white people are?
00:58:50
Speaker 3: So the old school house nostalgia give us seventies.
00:58:55
Speaker 2: Yeah. The color correction is feeling very warm love, a lamp giving Los Angeles absolutely Hotel California.
00:59:04
Speaker 3: Oh and matching yellow shirts and okay, enough of that. Yeah, that's good. I like that.
00:59:17
Speaker 2: It seemed high production rally.
00:59:18
Speaker 3: Yeah. So Danielle used the weight of her father's supposed influence to her advantage. Once after an argument, Mackenzie received an email from Michael Miller's secretary asking if he had heard from Danielle and knew if she was okay. What followed was a series of emails between Mackenzie, Danielle, and Michael's secretary. I'm putting that in quotes that involved a lot of guilt being thrown towards Mackenzie for making Danielle feel bad. I am confusion.
00:59:42
Speaker 2: I'm confusion.
00:59:43
Speaker 3: Let's see if we get to something that makes sense. So, when Mackenzie tried to end the partnership, he received another email from Danielle claiming she was suicidal. So basically, Mackenzie and Danielle had.
00:59:53
Speaker 2: A beef right after starting a company.
00:59:56
Speaker 3: Yes, So then Michael Miller's secretary in quotes started emailing Mackenzie and Danielle and being like, oh my god, Mackenzie, like you're making Danielle feel bad for you, not wanting to work with her anymore because she a criminal or whatever, like why would you do that? And so then when McKenzie's like, I'm leaving this situation, we did the music video whatever, I'm gonna keep influencing. Yeah, being post military by myself with my generic Kirkland brandt.
01:00:22
Speaker 2: Abs, Yeah, Costco.
01:00:25
Speaker 3: Costco abs, Okay, hot dog with him, she was like, well, now I'm gonna kill myself because.
01:00:32
Speaker 2: You toxic relationship. Yeah, f toxic.
01:00:36
Speaker 1: Also, I gotta say, the two like feminine sounding names are really throwing me.
01:00:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's having me.
01:00:42
Speaker 2: We call him mack hard.
01:00:44
Speaker 1: I feel, yeah, like I feel like a rich rich men are off it like in succession. How his name is Kendall, which is like a girl's I mean, not to gender gender binaries trash, but you know it is confusing.
01:00:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I feel like Mackenzie's not rich though. I feel like he like he just he was in the military, in.
01:01:01
Speaker 3: The military, which is not rich activity no.
01:01:04
Speaker 1: But but famously Prince Harry.
01:01:07
Speaker 2: He was a friend Amanda, he went for ye. Yeah, he was like, I.
01:01:13
Speaker 3: Said, this a war happening. Hold on, I gotta run away from this interview like very influencer. Yeah, hey girl, we're in the trenches. Yeah, we're behind enemy lines. Yeah, period, we got your names. Yeah.
01:01:33
Speaker 2: And then he's like, get the private jet. I get out of here.
01:01:37
Speaker 3: We gotta get out of here. Okay, they said the war is actually about to start wars, So we like, yeah, is that an I d y giving war influences? So she threatens to be suicidal. We're skipping over the dark. That's so toxic. So she was taken in by the police for psychiatric care, and then she told the police that Kenzie faked the messages that were sent to the authorities. She was like, oh, he lying, Like I ain't never had that.
01:02:05
Speaker 2: Because when she started to see consequences for her actions, that just affected her. She was like, actually, I was in suicidal You think that it was just a.
01:02:13
Speaker 3: Goof guys, what are you doing? So after the two separated, Mackenzie acted on suspicion and hacked his way into Danielle's emails. He gets the password to Danielle's email account.
01:02:23
Speaker 2: I love Danielle.
01:02:24
Speaker 3: That was her password.
01:02:25
Speaker 2: No way, my god, queen, bitch, get a last pass. Yeah at an exclamation mark, at.
01:02:31
Speaker 3: Least a Spanish exclamation yeah, and that would have worked.
01:02:37
Speaker 2: Oh and love into a zero.
01:02:40
Speaker 3: But I also love I love Danielle being your past word. And he was like, let me hack in.
01:02:44
Speaker 2: Yeah. He was like, what would it be love me?
01:02:49
Speaker 3: No, Okay, I got some more tries.
01:02:51
Speaker 2: I love Danielle. We're in Yeah, and like like a like a computer science movie, like with the yes hacking the main right very much so.
01:03:00
Speaker 3: According to him, he found evidence that Danielle took out credit cards and business loans in his name, which she denies, stealing two hundred thousand dollars in total from both him and the mutual friend that introduced them. Damn, you will rob the friend too.
01:03:12
Speaker 2: What is she? No boundaries?
01:03:14
Speaker 3: So, according to Mackenzie, it was like a pretty wild experience, probably one of the most insane that I've had personally. And I've been in two wars.
01:03:23
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
01:03:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, because you don't imagine being worse than war.
01:03:27
Speaker 1: Well, because when you sign up for a war, you know what you're getting, dude, A young white brat, Yeah, like rich white brat worse than war.
01:03:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, worst they start wars sometimes.
01:03:37
Speaker 3: He was like, I was in Fallujah. Nothing nothing compared.
01:03:41
Speaker 1: Well, the psychological warfare enacted by young, rich white girl Lina's yeah, look worse.
01:03:49
Speaker 2: Worse than Iraq. Wow.
01:03:52
Speaker 3: So a few months after his discovery, Danielle was arrested coming back. She loves to get arrested, honey. Her favorite jewelry is handcuffed. Yeah, her favorite sery, She's like, put them on? Are these fourteen? K Yeah? I like my setting on three. That's loose enough for like what you're doing.
01:04:08
Speaker 2: About what face you would make in a mug shot, like a oh I have I don't know how to do a serious face. I would probably just smile.
01:04:19
Speaker 3: I would just be like I want the most unhinged mugshot? Can I put up a peace sign?
01:04:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, I would definitely make it really cute because it would get around like yeah, so, so you'd want to be like a little like.
01:04:30
Speaker 2: You don't want to look caught, you want to look like Yeah, I would literally look like a sixth grade like yearbook picture.
01:04:36
Speaker 3: I woant to look like I just got it in tag, like someone just tagged me.
01:04:40
Speaker 2: Like I would look so innocent. I would like a little loss. Yeah, I've never been here before.
01:04:48
Speaker 3: They told me to smile. Oh, there's a high chart in the back yeah.
01:04:52
Speaker 2: Oh no, I would be given away.
01:04:54
Speaker 3: I would be giving five nine on the internet. So I don't want the high chart either. I hope it would be like a great background I've seen those, or a seamless bring your own. Yes, let me set up my blue background. So a few months after his discovery, she was arrested right coming back from Mexico after she missed the court appearance in New York for the spot theft charges. So the spotift chargers are still charging, and she was like, I'm not going over there. So they were like, we're arresting you in Mexico, this time with her parents out of the picture. She was represented by a public defender.
01:05:25
Speaker 2: Oh oh.
01:05:27
Speaker 3: She pleaded guilty and was put away in Rikers.
01:05:31
Speaker 1: Oh and that's where she became besties with Yes.
01:05:37
Speaker 3: While there, she became fast friends with a notoriously fashionable co grifter and a delby who allegedly taught Danielle the rules and tricks of the prison. Yes, and a generous queen. Yeah. She was like, let me put you on. Get these ramen noodles, you know, get yourself six cigarettes that you can sell in the yard. I will not give you my cigarette to pump iron on the yard of dirt.
01:06:00
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:06:02
Speaker 3: I love the what a friendship? I want a movie?
01:06:05
Speaker 2: Right?
01:06:05
Speaker 3: Yeah?
01:06:06
Speaker 2: Yeah? Season two? Yeah for sure. Yeah.
01:06:11
Speaker 3: So, according to Danielle, the CEOs really didn't fuck with Anna because she was so annoying to them, which makes sense. She's famous in jail, so you're still famous even if you're in jail, and you're like.
01:06:21
Speaker 1: God's God, you're famous, especially in jail.
01:06:26
Speaker 2: It's like being the popular girl in school. I do not have the money to jail.
01:06:31
Speaker 4: I would need to be famous because then it's like you're the cool I would like die in jail. I'm claustrophobic. I'd be like, I can't see you thriving in jail. I actually I think I would become like a cook.
01:06:43
Speaker 3: I'm with you.
01:06:44
Speaker 2: I think I would thrive in jail.
01:06:47
Speaker 3: I would hold you challenge shows, you know, like, I would get the best prison food. I would definitely have a TikTok.
01:06:53
Speaker 2: I would be giving you the prison food. I would just be like, I'm just gonna cook and I'm gonna be the chef. Care.
01:07:00
Speaker 1: I would definitely like. I would like read a lot. I would journal. I would like write Book number four.
01:07:05
Speaker 2: I would really like have to find mine, like a jail.
01:07:07
Speaker 3: Influencer, just like I'm a minimalist, guys, I just need a cut and my hot plate. The Carstal System's ass. But here we are. Uh so yeah. They they were like anna YouTube bougie for jail whatever. Danielle was eventually moved to another area where she met the woman who would become her friend and latest accompliced, Sierra Bloss. Sierra was in Rikers for violating parole after being arrested in twenty fifteen for running a credit card skimming operation to steal twenty two thousand dollars for a shopping spree. Parol is a scam. They just want you to go back to jail so you can.
01:07:40
Speaker 2: Work for Yeah. Sure.
01:07:41
Speaker 3: So she turned her theft into a business.
01:07:43
Speaker 2: I love that.
01:07:44
Speaker 3: What is business if not theft? You know, like, no it is. It's a fine line. What his business is not the persevering? Okay, yeah, that's business.
01:07:56
Speaker 2: Business, big business.
01:07:58
Speaker 1: Yeah.
01:07:58
Speaker 3: So she was like, okay, it's a crime, I'm making a business. And she allegedly took requests on her Instagram account And we have the Instagram account here, but I'm not going to say it for luxury items and like resales. So she was like, y'all, come get these luxury items that I may or may not have stolen. It's poshmark crime. Why not?
01:08:19
Speaker 2: I want to see what she's got on there.
01:08:20
Speaker 3: So Danielle was released in twenty nineteen and reconnected with Sierra a few months after being released, who offered her a job being a trapper, someone who could credibly take on the persona of their identity theft victims. So now she's taking on people's personas and doing identity theft immedia, but.
01:08:37
Speaker 2: Like full on, like she's taking it on.
01:08:41
Speaker 3: She didn't pass go, she didn't collect two hundred dollars. She just was like, I'm leaving jail and now I'm back at crime.
01:08:46
Speaker 2: This is next level it is. It is a pathology. She is a statistic. It's like, once you can make you're more likely. She probably could have just married rich and been done, but she chose. Now she wanted to work, and it's like instead of like working her way up the corporate ladder, she is working her ass up.
01:09:05
Speaker 3: She's aerial entrepreneur, yeah.
01:09:08
Speaker 2: Which we love.
01:09:10
Speaker 3: So the pandemic could a pause on her newest scam. So she fled to Miami with Sierra. There, the pair launched their instagrams into full luxury influencer mode, traversing around the empty streets of Miami and rolls orses and parading bags of designer shopping. Look at this, come on, bab Bachelor Instagram.
01:09:30
Speaker 2: It's okay.
01:09:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's actually not really given as much as I thought it would.
01:09:34
Speaker 1: No, I'm not noticing like a color scheme is that I can't read thirty three?
01:09:39
Speaker 3: K Okay, it's so off kilter.
01:09:41
Speaker 2: No, it's not not enough ash shots the color there's no theme to the Yeah, why is everything so gray?
01:09:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, the palette is very Sepia energy.
01:09:52
Speaker 2: Yeah it's not.
01:09:53
Speaker 3: It's giving iPhone eight yeah okay.
01:09:59
Speaker 2: I So when Florida opened up again just a few months later.
01:10:03
Speaker 3: Because Floria was like pandemic, not for us, not for us, they were like, we heard the country is doing something different with some masks to some black downs.
01:10:14
Speaker 2: That's crazy.
01:10:14
Speaker 3: Yeah. Immediately, No, so Florida opened up again because they never closed. Danielle immediately took hold of an LA woman's identity, rented a Jaguar with Sierra, and attempted to withdraw eight thousand dollars through a chase atm drive through with a fake passport, so she got somebody's identity and was like, Okay, get in la.
01:10:34
Speaker 2: She is like low key turning into like my icon if I'm being completely honest, because she treats life like a game. Like sometimes I think about like what if like we didn't like follow the stupid rules, like you could just steal someone's passport and like funk around, And she's like.
01:10:49
Speaker 3: I'm gonna do that. I had every opportunity to choose another life. That's what I mean by like sometimes you're just born being a scammery, Like, yeah, I love crimes. This is my passion.
01:10:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, because I don't know, there probably is something neurological going on, like she just doesn't have enough of a certain hormone and she needs to scam in order to get that.
01:11:07
Speaker 3: It's an addition like when I was watching have you ever seen Free Solo? Ye?
01:11:12
Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yeah, yeah, I watched it.
01:11:14
Speaker 3: At a film festival and they took a scan of this man's brain. Yeah, he climbed Alex Tunnel the Fly Matthew Christoph, Oh no, it's in Yosemite. Have to he climbed it with no ropes, honey, no.
01:11:30
Speaker 2: Attachments, the sheer face of it.
01:11:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, just like the strongest fingers, which I was like, damn, he probably diddling the hill out of his Like his fingers are strong.
01:11:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, and the forearms would be great lesbian.
01:11:43
Speaker 3: He would be an excellent lesbian. I was like his his fingers head like boss.
01:11:47
Speaker 2: It yeah, so strong.
01:11:49
Speaker 3: It was making me warmy and I was like, wow, I'm a weirdo. But he climbs it right. And they looked at his brain and like the front part of his brain, that migdaler or whatever, that's the where it controls, like your sense of fear, His was.
01:12:00
Speaker 2: All this fu Yeah. But I don't think her sense of fear is small. I think her sense of privilege is big.
01:12:06
Speaker 1: So she knows tomato tomato. It's like what fear and privilege.
01:12:09
Speaker 2: Exactly, So she knows that like shell, she knows that at the end of the day she'll be fine.
01:12:13
Speaker 3: But I think that ties into fear. It's like, if you don't have privilege, you're scared. I'm scared constantly. If you have a lot of privilege, you're like, yeah, I go do shit to me.
01:12:22
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:12:23
Speaker 1: I think it's like nature and nurture, like you can probably affect your amygdola with privilege, you know.
01:12:29
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:12:29
Speaker 3: But also I just think like she was born to do this. She was, and she's dedicated to her passion, and I admire that.
01:12:35
Speaker 2: I respect it.
01:12:36
Speaker 3: We all do, we all do? We all aspire to be dan Yelle. So I try to get the eight thousand dollars out right. The bank was suspicious enough to call the cops, despite Danielle having also hijacked the woman's phone number for secondary verification. The crime duo were arrested, and despite Dany arrested again, Danielle loves an arrest, and despite Danielle being found with three differentnoy driver's licenses with the same photo, three matching credit cards, six cell phones, and twenty five thousand dollars in cash, they pleaded not guilty.
01:13:09
Speaker 2: Whoa, I mean, that's funny. She was like, let's see what I love.
01:13:13
Speaker 3: It was amazing, the shaggy method.
01:13:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't me.
01:13:16
Speaker 3: Gaslight them girl, gaslight and queen this time, Sierra bail Danielle out of jail. Danielle moved into another luxury apartment with an old scammer friend from Rikers to begin planning her next scam. This time it was at the height of the pandemic relief. She allegedly applied for ten loans for Small Business Association those pps, using a number of stolen identities that she obtained by hacking into the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. So she acted to the DMB and said, let me get these PPEs.
01:13:44
Speaker 1: Why now I'm really confused, like why, Oh, the COVID loans, yes, yeah, which a lot of rich people got written off, and they'll be like, oh my god, we can't give money to charity or houselessness.
01:13:56
Speaker 2: Getting millions of dollars written off by their government is a scam because in order to get those loans you have to like know how to apply for them. Yeah, And they have people who did it for them.
01:14:06
Speaker 3: But she did it herself and right, okay, turbo tax queens. Yeah. On July twenty first, twenty twenty, the government deposited one hundred and twenty four thousand, nine hundred dollars into a bank account Daniell opened under a stolen identity. Over the following eight months, she was given one million dollars in another four loans and six thousand, two hundred dollars in Arizona unemployment benefits. So she was unemployment while she was getting loans from the government, just stealing. I love it. I love it.
01:14:33
Speaker 2: She has a brand think that she did what a lot of people did during the pandemic, which is like collect unemployment but on turbo mode. Yes, and she was like, give me all the money.
01:14:44
Speaker 3: The only thing is under like unemployment, they come back to bite, they.
01:14:48
Speaker 2: Do because they don't tax it. And then they're like, give me, gimme and it's like, you're gonna tax me for money that I paid for in my taxes.
01:14:53
Speaker 3: The fuck like this only knows since the math, it does not all math, it's not mathing. So, according to Danielle, she learned most of her scamming skills online and quotes says, you can go on Telegram and join a group of scammers and they're all just bragging and sending pictures.
01:15:08
Speaker 2: I'm on Telegram right now in a group. Yeah, I would get on scamming gram. Telegram is for crypto bros and scammers, and I was on it. I want to be a part of it. I need to know.
01:15:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, I love all these alt messaging apps you can buy drugs.
01:15:24
Speaker 2: You can do it.
01:15:25
Speaker 3: Oh, yes, signal, Yeah, that's for crime, that's right, what's app? But what's app's getting more mainstream. But whats app is to talk to your parents in a foreign country or for crime.
01:15:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, WhatsApp is for immigrants yea.
01:15:37
Speaker 1: But signal also is for journalism.
01:15:40
Speaker 2: I interviewed some X scientologists on signal.
01:15:42
Speaker 3: Because then it keeps it secret. Yes, so getting caught. Let's wrap this up. Danielle was not shy about her luxury lifestyle, and many noticed the luxury vacation shopping spreez and cars that blooded her Instagram. So she was like, I'm popping. I want you to see the brands LV, guccis or or my body.
01:15:57
Speaker 2: Okay, pop them tags.
01:15:59
Speaker 3: It was wild. She was recovering from a recent BBL at her luxury Miami apartment that federal agents finally tracked her down and arrested her. No.
01:16:08
Speaker 2: BBL, if you don't know, is a Brazilian butt lip.
01:16:11
Speaker 3: And if you get a Brazilian butt lip, it's like they suck the fat out of your stomach and your thighs and they put it in your ass. But there's a three month recovery process, or you cannot sit down on your butt. You have to have like a BBL blow up bed. You have to like cut holes out of like lawn chair so your butt can hang out of it and not get dented. So how did they arrest her that they had to lay her down in the back of the squad.
01:16:32
Speaker 1: Car, on her on her front chest. Oh god, that is the patriarchy working overtime. The patriarchy was like, you need a bigger ass, and that's what slowed down her business once and for all.
01:16:42
Speaker 3: Damn this one slowed down her crime. She was recovering from getting a fat ass.
01:16:45
Speaker 2: Damn sucks.
01:16:46
Speaker 3: Wow, beauty standards.
01:16:48
Speaker 2: Really, she's gonna look good in jail? Oh yeah, from behind. She got arrested in so many different ways.
01:16:54
Speaker 3: Because it's a BBL arrest, you definitely gotta be laying on your stomach.
01:16:58
Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. I wonder if like she was getting her head shot or her loo.
01:17:03
Speaker 2: Oh my god, me living in LA.
01:17:04
Speaker 1: Her mugshot taken and she was like her head shot. At her headshot, she was like, get one of the booty.
01:17:10
Speaker 3: And look at her. Okay. So she who said they were gonna smile with that?
01:17:13
Speaker 2: You is a yeah, no, Amanda's gonna smile. A man is gonna smize, Okay, which is that?
01:17:19
Speaker 3: Yes?
01:17:19
Speaker 2: And look, she had a full set of new lashes. Yeah, she has lashes fresh last she had a fresh last install like this is cute.
01:17:27
Speaker 1: Deep her heart doesn't look but she she was recovering from her bbl Yeah.
01:17:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's rough.
01:17:32
Speaker 3: So during the raid, authority sees more than four thousand dollars in cash and twenty eight thousand dollars in money orders, plus a number of fake id's credit cards and incriminating iPhones she had helophones. Fans also gained access to her Instagram account, which included the exchange where she posted an Instagram story with a caption dance like no one's watching email like it may one day be read aloud in a deposition.
01:17:55
Speaker 2: That No, that's that's a good tip.
01:17:57
Speaker 3: That's beautiful, honestly, Yeah, don't email dance like no one's watching email like they might one day read it in a deposition. Not happy love, But y'all y'all evil home goods. Yeah, put this on the side.
01:18:12
Speaker 2: So done. Print that on up serving plat the coffee mug.
01:18:19
Speaker 3: Yeah on it, okay. Anadobe replied to the story and said tell me about it.
01:18:26
Speaker 2: It was like, yes, we love it.
01:18:28
Speaker 3: I also love the Feds getting on Instagram, like, honestly, we're making it too easy for the cops these days. Y'all stop posting about y'all crime.
01:18:35
Speaker 2: People need to stop posting.
01:18:37
Speaker 3: I hated everyone who did Juary six, and it was hilarious to me that they tagged themselves in crime.
01:18:41
Speaker 2: However, I'm like, y'all r the Cain and like me and my girl, I know it's the whole army hammer thing for me, Like what are you doing? That's why? Like you, when you go dark on Instagram, you're either taking a mental health break or literally committing crime.
01:19:00
Speaker 3: Don't do your crime on Live y'all like what we're doing. So today, almost six hundred thousand dollars has been seized from her accounts, and Danielle has been charged with three counts of wirefraud and two counts of aggravated identity theft. Wow, not the aggravated stripper identity theft. Give me all identity. So she's pleaded not guilty. I love that she's like, it wasn't me. In October twenty twenty two, she was sentenced to five years in prison for her twenty twenty identity theft charges, though will not be transferred until the majority of her charges have been closed, so she's got open cases. So she's gonna be sitting there for a minute. Currently, she's on house arrest.
01:19:37
Speaker 2: Yes, cozy, cozy, what house do you think ben cropped? Oh look?
01:19:47
Speaker 3: Oh not the jail bars in the bag used to the esthetic.
01:19:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry, she's like not that cute though, I mean.
01:19:56
Speaker 3: But she posed and cute she is. She loves to give us a.
01:19:58
Speaker 2: Hit of that bra why like the other pictures were blurry?
01:20:03
Speaker 3: Right? Also that what is the shape of towel wreck in here? Okay?
01:20:07
Speaker 1: Sis, Well, you know you can't stage two meticulously you want to seem a.
01:20:12
Speaker 2: Little casual house wress. It sounds like she's sorry, I don't want to keep going.
01:20:18
Speaker 3: So she's on house rests right at her friend's Manhattan triplex apartment, where she started a TikTok to document her new at home life.
01:20:28
Speaker 2: She's still getting the bag. Okay.
01:20:29
Speaker 1: I really think at this point I've been to like wondering about the psychological explanation for her behavior, and I really just think it's attention her like it's Anna del Yeah, it's a mommy daddy issues up the while.
01:20:40
Speaker 2: But Anna Delvey just didn't have money though, and she needed more for her.
01:20:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, for her, for this, for this, I think it's really it's a void. It's an emotional blade.
01:20:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I mean, look, she's not that papus, so she had to get it however she could.
01:20:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you're right.
01:20:54
Speaker 3: So now she's y'all look at her TikTok. I'm gonna tell you what her TikTok is. It's the Danielle Nicole mill On TikTok. And let's see that video. The first one over there was she doing on house Arrests no POV. Waking up next to the most loyal and protective writer die queen.
01:21:11
Speaker 2: Who who is.
01:21:14
Speaker 3: It her? Because she didn't put nobody else in the video?
01:21:16
Speaker 2: I love Danielle.
01:21:18
Speaker 3: Wow, she said, I'm the writer, die queen, it me.
01:21:22
Speaker 1: I want to see the I want to see her ass. There's an acid.
01:21:25
Speaker 2: Oh wait, where's the booty?
01:21:26
Speaker 3: We got to see how the BBO preserved during the arrest. Okay, she like a moderate bbl Okay, I want to see.
01:21:34
Speaker 2: The aund turn around? Is that not very big? It's regular booty. This has to be before. No, I think it's after, which shows that she really did need the vitia because she.
01:21:50
Speaker 3: Had NASA tall no acid.
01:21:51
Speaker 1: All.
01:21:53
Speaker 2: Her back was just a straight lasted I can't see. Okay, you know what.
01:21:57
Speaker 3: This is a conservative BBL and I like it.
01:22:00
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:22:01
Speaker 3: Oh, I guess it's time for the status part of the show, where I have to let he's not Amanda go. But before we do that scammer of the week, we'll highlight a scammer that we love or hey, we'll see today. So I saw this on Twitter and I was very interested in this. Uh, this is more of a what's hot and fraud. But the scammer of the week is that we scammers have found a new way to scam takeout customers out of Thai food and dollars. So author Cory Doctor Rowe recently tried to order from a popular Burbank Thai restaurant called Ken by searching on Google right, so he just searched. He didn't go to Postmates, he didn't go to Uber Eats, grubs, the hubs, whatever, which shout out to grub hub because I work for him, no door Dash, I worked for him one day I got an eight dollars settlement.
01:22:45
Speaker 2: Oh, I did Postmates for like a month and a half. When I first moved out.
01:22:49
Speaker 3: I did it for one day and then apparently they were still in the tips from the girls. So I logged into the class action.
01:22:56
Speaker 5: Oh, yes you did, and I got my eight dollars. Eight dollars. Did you buy a coffee? I probably used it on door day.
01:23:06
Speaker 2: They gave it to you in credit. Yeah.
01:23:08
Speaker 3: They're like, we'll take the fees off, and I was like, yeah, I'll take it. So they searched on Google to get the tai restaurant to order direct right. So Google had a top search result right. But unbeknownst to Cory, the website he went to was actually a dupe of the restaurant's real website. The doname main was kentiela dot com. It's completely unaffiliated with the restaurant, but allowed him to place the actual order with a fifteen percent markup. Thankfully, the staff recognized the order as fake and canceled it, though Corey had to dispute what ended up being a double charge to American Express themselves. He had to fight the girls to get his money back. So not only were the scammers able to obtain an AMEX merchant account under the name of the real restaurant without the system flagging them. Wow, Google Ads and wigs verified them as a real business our restaurants. Scams have become more prevalent as apps such as door Dash and grub pubs strain their relationship with local restaurants through fees and poor customer service.
