Speaker 1: KRFX HG two, Denver, KHW Denver.
00:00:04
Speaker 2: They say six thirty KOW Denver's talk station, an iHeartRadio station guaranteed human the Department of Educator The Department of Education has opened a federal investigation into Cherry Creek Schools over alleged racial discrimination. The agency accuses the district of violating the Civil Rights Act of nineteen sixty four. The agency is accusing Cherry Creek Schools of having clubs that exclude students based on race. They also allege that the district requires teachers to use a student's race when determining class assignments and academic support. The Education Department says it has received complaints of a program that trained teachers that the US was founded on quote white supremacy. The department is also investigating a parent committee that allegedly grants access and participation based on race while denying other parents the opportunity to participate. In a statement, Cherry Creed school says they disagree with the characterization of that programming and they have yet to receive a copy of the complaints.
00:01:05
Speaker 3: So what would be the characterization of that programming? According to the powers that be in the Cherry Creek School District that from nine News, and as you heard, the United States Department of Education on behalf of the Trump administration investigating Cherry Creek schools, and a large driving force behind that has been the Colorado Parent Advocacy Network. The executive director, Lorie Gimmelstein, joins us and shared with me this the about Voices of Color, one of these groups that was mentioned right there in the story still up on the Cherry Creek School's website with the following highlighted by Lauri. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and safe environment to support the success of students of color, also providing parents and guardians of students of color voice and direct access to the administration. But as was mentioned in the story, that is at the exclusion of people that are not considered to be whatever people of color. And as I previously have discussed with Molly Lamar also in the district, there was a case that she heard about that an individual was quote not Asian enough unquote to join one of these groups. Laurie joins us now here on Ryan Schuling Live.
00:02:22
Speaker 4: Laurie, Welcome, good morning, Ryan, great to be here.
00:02:25
Speaker 3: Well take us through. I know you were featured in the CBS Colorado four story as well. Just what the genesis of this was when you first became aware of these things going on and why you decided to take action.
00:02:38
Speaker 4: Well, it goes all the way back to.
00:02:39
Speaker 5: Twenty twenty actually, when I, as a parent in the Terry Creek School District, became alerted and alarmed to some of the content that my children, who were then in fifth and seventh grade, were being instructed in the online learning during COVID, and then when we went back to school for the twenty twenty twenty one school year, they were in class and small cohorts twice a week in the virtual Faith learning two other days a week, and a lot of really complex topics for children in sixth and eighth grade, you know, just in regards to their cognitive development and being able to critically think about different issues, you know, simple things like if I said at the dinner.
00:03:22
Speaker 4: Table, can someone pass the sault?
00:03:26
Speaker 5: Like my child would say, oh, you're racist because salt is white. And these comments were so concerning, and ultimately what we uncovered is that Cherry Creek School District genuinely believes that America was founded on white supremacy. And it asserts that racism is the foundation, it's the heart of every disparity in society and our schools.
00:03:50
Speaker 4: And they are.
00:03:51
Speaker 5: Directly teaching our educators and our staff through tax payer funded professional development called Beyond Diversity Courageous Conversations, which is put forth by a group called Pacific Education Group that has been flagged by numerous civil rights groups. And what this professional development does is it requires people to see themselves not as individuals, but as representatives of a group of oppressors or oppressed, all depending on the color of their skin. So this has been going on in the district for six years, and I engaged by going to the teachers, into my principal, and ultimately to the school board and then finally district administration. And it is so embedded as their core belief system that they do not believe that they're doing anything wrong. And so I actually attended Voices of Color meeting in twenty twenty one, and it was very interesting because then candidate and board director Kelly Bates, who became the board president, welcomed the group and she started with saying, thank you for.
00:05:11
Speaker 4: Allowing me, a white woman, on my journey to.
00:05:15
Speaker 5: Be in this room, and when I questioned her on this, I said, it sounded like you were, you know, like apologizing for being white.
00:05:24
Speaker 4: And she folded her arms across her chest and she said absolutely. And I was.
00:05:31
Speaker 5: Told that my story didn't matter because I was white, and they didn't want to hear my story. They only wanted to hear stories of people who are oppressed because of the color of their skin.
00:05:44
Speaker 4: And I certainly could not be.
00:05:46
Speaker 5: Oppressed, and my husband could certainly not be oppressed coming from the former Soviet Union, because he's a white man. And so over the course of the years, you know, I've been raising the alarm on this, you know, during the Biden administration, which was not sympathetic to these violations of Title six and that, which are race based violations. And you know, all Americans are covered by Title six, not just a certain group of people, all everyone, every American. And so we submitted two complaints to Title six complaints in twenty twenty five, one in February of twenty twenty five regarding this committee, which what.
00:06:33
Speaker 4: It does, and it says right on their website.
00:06:35
Speaker 5: You can go there right now as you did, and you can see that it says specifically for students of color, and it grants them special privileges, that students of color and families of color special privileges to district administration that is not available to other races. And so we filed that complaint as a clear violation of Title six. And then we also filed a second complaint in June of two twenty five when the district avoided or just basically ignored executive order to stop uppercase DEI initiatives that focused on this ideology of white supremacy ruling America and creating these classes of oppressors versus oppress And they actually rebranded, and that's what Cherry Creek consistently does. They rebrand and their Office of Inclusive Excellence in twenty eighteen became the Office of DEI Diversity, Equity Inclusion back in the twenty twenty era, and then as soon as DEI started to get hot, they changed to the Office of Equity, Culture and Community Engagement. And what they did with the Professional development in May of twenty twenty five, over a period of three days where they hired indigenous dancers on the taxpayer dollars to come dance for participants in this professional development, they changed it to Transformation Equity Experience T.
00:08:02
Speaker 4: So what they do is they make it super.
00:08:04
Speaker 5: Challenging to QUA using Colorado Open Records Act request because they change the language so much that you might be looking for a particular topic and they.
00:08:14
Speaker 4: Just changed the name.
00:08:16
Speaker 5: And this district has for years been doing this, And I wanted to share with you some of the concepts that are taught in this ridiculous professional development Like top of the kids in Cherry Creek are not at grade level in reading or map.
00:08:35
Speaker 4: They can't comprehend what they read. It's unbelievable.
00:08:38
Speaker 5: And they're teaching our teachers to interrupt the role in presence of whiteness in their schools. And do you know what whiteness is defined as?
00:08:47
Speaker 4: Ryan?
00:08:48
Speaker 3: What is that?
00:08:52
Speaker 5: How did individualism? Believing in being self reliant, being action oriented, having.
00:09:03
Speaker 4: Use it, just.
00:09:04
Speaker 5: Being polite is whiteness. Having a two parent home is whiteness. They literally have a slide that says things like time is viewed as a commodity and you know, being on time is important. That is an aspect of white culture in the United States that needs to be disrupted in these schools. And they even go as far as saying that steak and potatoes bland is best is a characteristic of most US white people most of the time.
00:09:41
Speaker 3: This is just I mean, you unpeel this onion and it just gets more and more profound. Laurie Gimmelstein our guest. She is the executive director of the Colorado Parent Advocacy Network. You can follow her on Exit Laurie with an I gim gim I'm trying to wrap my head around this because so much of this goes back. Ben Shapiro talks about it often, the oppression matrix as part of Marxist philosophy that undermines the very foundation of our country and does so intentionally. This is moving what we're celebrating this year, Laurie, America two fifty founding of this nation, the Declaration of Independence seventeen seventy six to the sixteen nineteen project, and the underpinnings of racism upon which the Marxist philosophy tells us that our country was founded. So it's inherently corrupt, it's inherently bad evil, It needs to be undone needs to be torn down and built back up. In this Marxist image. This is all by design. This is all rules for radical Sawlensky. This is all part of that same philosophy, and it is infiltrated and in my mind, contaminated the Cherry Creek School district to the point where they don't even realize or recognize or think about the fact that they're doing anything wrong by anybody. It's standard. And then you talk about the Department of Education and them looking into this and the opportunities that it limits for white people. I have to Imaginice, go back to this meeting you're talking about. Had you come there hat in hand, genuineflecting and bowing down and apologizing for your whiteness, Laurie, would you have then been welcome to share your views in that meeting?
00:11:14
Speaker 4: Do you think one hundred percent?
00:11:16
Speaker 3: Yeah? Right?
00:11:18
Speaker 4: And you know, this really is, you know, just a strategy.
00:11:22
Speaker 5: It's an attack on Western values, it's an attack on America culture.
00:11:28
Speaker 4: And what it's done is it's.
00:11:30
Speaker 5: Driven this incredible wedge between Americans, right because they have weaponized people's empathy. And these strategies manipulate language as well, so even you know, words like equity and diversity and inclusion that they sound really nice, but they're not actually using the actual definitions of those words. My good friend Elvin Louis with courage as a habit, says, they're using our vote vocabulary, but not our dictionary, and they're weaponizing our kindness.
00:12:05
Speaker 4: And you know, it's so ingrained in.
00:12:08
Speaker 5: The Terry Creek School district to force our children to view each other through this lens of instruction, and it's not making life easier for our kids. We have mental health issues that have risen exponentially over the last several years, and it is the direct cause of this type of instruction that forces kids to view themselves based on immutable characteristics that they cannot change.
00:12:35
Speaker 4: And it's no wonder we.
00:12:36
Speaker 5: See this huge rise in children trying to become a victim, right like trying to become one of these victim classes. So you see this huge rise in children identifying as transgender, because that is a victim class. They are being oppressed a written and so they're celebrated and instead of just being who they are and having the ability to develop and critically think in being given different sides to compare and that are developmentally appropriate for their age, they're just being forced to view each other through a lens of identity and what we need to do as Americans is celebrate America and the principles of our freedom. And I'm hopeful through these investigations. I'm so grateful to the US Department of Education. Can I just give huge congratulations to them? They are under so much pressure. They have over from my understanding, over twenty eight thousand complaints that have come in over the last year on violations of civil rights. And they're a very small group of individuals, the very talented attorneys, and you know, it's just a huge number to investigate.
00:13:50
Speaker 4: So we're really grateful that they decided.
00:13:53
Speaker 5: To investigate our two complaints, and we are, you know, hopeful. We're working directly with you. US Department of Education. Do want to be very clear, they're not stating that there's evidence of wrongdoing. They're staying they're going to investigate these complaints, and I look forward to these results and anticipate from my opinion that they will find violations of Title Sex for race based discrimination.
00:14:20
Speaker 3: SEAPAN is the organization Colorado Parent Advocacy Networks. She's the executive director and a big fighter in this cause. Lori Gimmelstein joining us here on ours sel the other part of this to wind down the conversation that I can't get away from LORI. It's just how inherently racist. Ironically, what you just described is toward any so called person of color if they want to categorize themselves as such, only defined as based on their race, which is rugged individualism, self reliance, independence, personal liberties and freedoms those know no race or culture. If you're an American, you and joy those freedoms. You celebrate those freedoms to your point, But no, on this victim oppression matrix, they have to be dependent on government, on people's better angels, on charity, on things benefiting them, on the basis of their race. And only because they are victims can they possibly hope to succeed in American society. That is so condescending, that is so limiting in its view of what any individual, regardless of race, can do in this country if you work hard enough and you put your mind to it. This is taking that entirely away and saying, Nope, you can't do it. You're black, you're Hispanic, you'r whatever, and you just all you can hope for in this country is to be a victim.
00:15:45
Speaker 5: I just can't even imagine what it must feel like to be told that you can't do something. I've just always had my parents instilled in me this work ethic, saying you can be anything you want to be is long as you work hard. And what Cherry Creek School District is doing is the opposite of that. They're basically saying, because of this immutable characteristic your race, you're either capable or incapable, and that is just criminal behavior to me.
00:16:16
Speaker 4: And you know, I encourage your listeners to follow us on x.
00:16:21
Speaker 5: Colorado Parent Advocacy Network. Our handle is at CPAN cp A, N Colorado. We we put so much information on our ex account that you can stay engaged and you can stay informed. And you know, these complaints came out of teachers and parents and students that came forward and submitted concerns through our incident reporting tool, which you can find on our website at Coloradoparents dot org. And you know we were able to take these reports.
00:16:51
Speaker 4: We keep them confidential.
00:16:52
Speaker 5: We have an investigative team, all volunteers who spend countless hours documenting the evidence and filing records requests and preparing these complaints. And we are investigating, not just Terry Creek. We're looking into all one hundred and seventy eight school districts, and I do want listeners to also know, interestingly, that the school board in Cherry Creek recently.
00:17:15
Speaker 4: Terminated Terry Bates, who was.
00:17:17
Speaker 5: The husband of Kelly Bates, the prior president, served eight years on our board, who actually stated during a campaign.
00:17:24
Speaker 4: That we didn't need a white man on the board, and.
00:17:27
Speaker 5: Her husband was selected in this last election cycle and then was terminated for racist remarks, and they replaced him with Keith Frasier, who is on the steering committee for Voices of Color, so he is on the steering committee for the complaint. We actively have being investigated by the US Department of Office of Civil Rights for race discrimination.
00:17:53
Speaker 3: The press release entitled US Department of Education probes Colorado school district that's Cherry Creek amid reports of rampant racially discriminatory programming. Laurie Gimmelstein at the front lines of this fight in raising awareness for it, shining a spotlight on it, and again just another log on the fire that is the dumpster fire of Cherry Creek Schools in recent years. Laurie, always appreciate your time and again. People can follow Colorado Parent Advocacy Network on acts at SEAPAN Colorado. We'll talk to you again soon.
00:18:25
Speaker 4: Thanks, Ryan, have a great day.
00:18:27
Speaker 3: We'll take this break when we come back. She is a candidate for House District fifty one here in the state of Colorado for the General Assembly, and she is going head to head with Amy Parks, who has also appeared on this program in the Republican primary to replace outgoing controversial Representative Ron Weinberg. Nancy Rumfeld our guest for the first time on URSL. When we come back after these We've talked about the very competitive eighth Congressional District race that is so important not just statewide here in Colorado but nationwide for control of the House of Representatives coming up in these midterm elections, but on the state level in the General Assembly. In order to maintain some kind of foothold for Republicans that are in a distinct minority. The House race in this following district fifty one very important. It's extremely competitive. Represented Ron Weinberg, outgoing dropped out of the primary. He underwent some scandal and controversy with accusations from women dating back to his behavior at Colorado Leadership Program of the Rockies, and he won by about five points last time around against Democrat opponent Sarah McKean. The Democrat opponent for either our next guest or her primary opponent has been set. Jackie Marsh will be that and running against Amy Parks in the Republican primary. On that side of things, our next guest Nancy Rumfeldt, who in the interest of continuity and needs to be stated. Laurie Gimmelstein has stated that Seapen has endorsed Nancy for this seat in this race, and we're happy to be joined by Nancy for the first time here. I'm Ryan Schruling Live. Nancy, Welcome, well, thank.
00:20:07
Speaker 1: You, and good morning. And yes, I received the endorsement this morning. I'm very excited about SEAPAN endorsing me. I worked closely with them as well as with Protect Kids Colorado. And you know, I think that's one of the reasons why I'm running is I realized as a school board member that the only way to really try to affect change for public education is it needs to be stopped at the state capitol where so many of these crazy laws are coming from. That then school districts are forced to comply with and it's just unfortunate because it's harming children everywhere.
00:20:43
Speaker 3: As she mentioned, Nancy, a third generation Colorado is on the school board for the Thompson School District, and Nancy, I just want to get your thoughts because I'm sure you're aware of them based on the affiliations you just cited. Protect Kids Colorado. Aaron Lee are good friend on this program. Laurie Gimmelstein involved in those efforts as well, helping uncover potential racial discrimination now within the once proud Cherry Creek School District. We know what's going on in the Denver public schools. We are aware through jeff Goo Kids First and the great efforts of Lindsay Datco just everything that's going wrong in the Jeffco Kids School District. Your thoughts on the state of education as a whole in the state of Colorado as you've sat on a school board and watch this all unfold, Well, I.
00:21:23
Speaker 1: Think you know there are some things that are being done well, but again it goes back to many of the regulation and laws coming out of the state capital things where you know you must use the pronoun you don't have to tell the parents what's going on with their child, and just this movement towards this refusal to recognize parents. Parents are responsible for everything about their child, and it's being forced into the school districts, where in my opinion, it's pitying teachers, school administration against the parents because the state is inserting itself and saying, no school districts, you are going to.
00:22:10
Speaker 6: Override the parents.
00:22:11
Speaker 1: And I think that impacts the ability of parents to really be involved in the education and to even question what is being taught in the schools. There's so many times that we have curriculum, but it's really difficult to really understand what is in that curriculum and what's being taught.
00:22:29
Speaker 6: And as soon as you start questioning.
00:22:31
Speaker 1: It, Ryan immediately you know, the Teachers' union and others start throwing names that you you're a Christian nationalist. But also I've been called a Dominican white Christian nationalist so many I don't even know.
00:22:46
Speaker 6: What a lot of them mean.
00:22:47
Speaker 1: But what it tells me is I'm asking the right questions when I start flinging those names at me, Because education is supposed to be about being teaching them to read, to write, to do math. Critically, think which means objective thinking, and it's moving more and more away to that where we're literally focusing on teaching children how to become social justice warriors, and that's just not the role of public education, and that's something that needs to be stopped again at the state level as well as all of the spending. Districts often don't have the money that they need because the state is spending money on things that really isn't its core core role. Like an example that really angered me is that the amount of reimbursement being given to parent caregivers was reduced while we're still maintaining that Colorado Care for All for the healthcare related to illegal immigrant women who are pregnant and their children.
00:23:51
Speaker 6: So again, there's plenty of nonprofits that.
00:23:53
Speaker 1: Could help that demographic, but that's not where tax dollars should be spent. That should be spent on citizens and especially parent care.
00:24:04
Speaker 3: Gervers Nancy Rumfeldt for HD fifty one dot com. That's where you can find out more about her campaign. Are you m f E l T fr HD fifty one. She is our guest here on Ryan Schuling Live Nancy. This looks to be a very competitive primary against Amy Parks. As I mentioned, she's appeared on this program before. She was a very close, confident supporter partner of Hugh McKean, who is a largely popular representative from that district, and of course tragically died suddenly of a heart attack. I had a great relationship with him myself. It was a very sad time in a sad day. Could you outline, though, as you see it, what the primary lines of demarcation are between you and Amy Parks, What makes you the preferred candidate as a Republican for the people of that district.
00:24:53
Speaker 6: Sure.
00:24:54
Speaker 1: So the first thing is I have actually run for election two times, one here in the Thompson School District, and that only happens in this area with the support of Republicans unaffiliated and Democrats. And House District fifty one is encompassed completely by the Thompson School District. So I've already won two elections here, and so that's why I also know that I know I will win in November. My opponent has not run for election for anything and one and so I think that's a very important distinction, especially right.
00:25:34
Speaker 6: Now, and we need to maintain this seat. Being read.
00:25:37
Speaker 1: The other thing is is you know, it's one thing to be closely aligned with someone who holds elected office, but that's not the same as actually holding the office and having to read the policy, read the budgets, and actually cast the votes and make those decisions that typically when you're elected, no matter what you do, Ryan, you're going to have somebody that likes your votes and somebody that doesn't like your votes, And so you have to be able to stay true to your values, stand firm on your vote, why you voted yes or no, because there is always a record of what you have done, and I know that my record shows that I will I always stand for parental rights, protecting girls' sports, and of course taxpayers. So I think those are very large differences, which also makes me capable of going against the Democratic candidate, Jackie Marsh, who she was so divisive while she was on the city council. She would fit right in with the radical leftists at the state Capitol. But we don't need anymore there. We need to keep this seat red, and we need to keep it with somebody who understands how to work across the aisle while not compromising your values and principles and just keep the public informed of what's going on.
00:26:57
Speaker 3: Nancy Rumfield, our guest Republican candidate in the primary that'll be Tuesday, June thirtieth, coming up less than three weeks away in this pivotal seat that we need to keep red. As Nancy mentioned, going head to head with Amy Parks in that primary, You've hit on two key issues here, Nancy, that I think will help bolster your candidacy should you be the nominee come November against the Democratic opponent and Jackie marsh The ballot initiatives that Aaron Lee spearheaded Protect Kids Colorado to get on the ballot, I think will drive people to the polls. I think that will benefit a candidate like you or Amy if she is the nominee as well. In addition, your experience with education being such a hot button issue now here in the state of Colorado, there isn't much to stand on or defend. I don't think from the Democratic perspective on how things have gone so awry and off track with regards to educating our kids and putting that first. Is there another issue in your district? You've got your finger on the pulse there in District fifty one. Now if you feel is a clear advantage over a Democrat opponent in Jackie Marsh And is there an issue that you think is going to be difficult to campaign on to win on in what is a very purple district there in fifty one.
00:28:13
Speaker 1: Well, I think first it's important to recognize that this area has the same issue like many others, affordable housing. And I in my role as a fractional CFO consultant, I've been talking with, you know, some of the homebuilders and the big issue there is the number of regulations that have been added to the state building codes. This is at the state level, and so since twenty fifteen, the amount of building codes that have been added has literally added approximately seventy five thousand dollars in cost, and that comes from one of the builders, Landmark Homes, but didn't.
00:28:51
Speaker 6: Really add any real value.
00:28:53
Speaker 1: So I think that is something that we can absolutely work on by getting everybody to talk to each other and be objective.
00:29:01
Speaker 6: The other thing is TABOR. The voters numerous.
00:29:05
Speaker 1: Times Ryan, as you know, have rejected any attempt to dismantle TABOR, and that is what Senate Bill one thirty five is about. It will not provide more money to education that's what they say for everything. It's always for the children. It's always for the children, which is always a lie. And what it does with TABOR is it literally will destroy TABOR in its entirety by resetting those factors. And only for the first ten years do they say there will be some money going to education. After that the state can do whatever they want with that money.
00:29:41
Speaker 6: So that I think is a.
00:29:42
Speaker 1: Winning issue to focus on is TABOR and affordable housing. And affordable housing has to come down to, in my opinion, what I believe is limited government and allowing the free market to do its thing. And right now it's too many times its hand is high behind its back because there's so many regulations that increase costs.
00:30:06
Speaker 6: But don't really improve the value.
00:30:10
Speaker 1: Like the one landon Hoover with Landmarks said, it's not like they were building death traps in twenty fifteen, but now there's so many regulations the costs of it have increased. So we need to roll back those state level building.
00:30:24
Speaker 6: Codes at the very least, and I.
00:30:26
Speaker 1: Think that will go a long ways towards increasing home ownership. I think the other thing to keep in mind too, is, as I've been knocking on doors, Ryan, everybody.
00:30:38
Speaker 6: Most people are very familiar with who I am. They know my name. They do not know my opponent's name.
00:30:43
Speaker 1: For the primary, they don't know her, and I think that will be very important in the general election for November. There are familiar with me. They know I stand strong, They know that they can trust me because they've voted for me two times, and so that's why I know I will win in November.
00:31:02
Speaker 3: Primary ballots have been mailed. You should be getting them at any moment, maybe right now as a matter of fact. And if you live in House District fifty one, Nancy Rumfelt would be one of those two choices along with Amy Parks, to select as the nominee for the Republicans again in this pivotal House district. You can find her on Facebook Nancy rumfeldt HD fifty one in her website very similar Nancy Rumfelt four fo r HD fifty one dot com. Nancy ourguest here today on Ryan Shuling Live. Nancy, thank you so much, best of luck going forward. We'll talk to you again down the line.
00:31:32
Speaker 6: Okay, thank you, and have a great day.
00:31:34
Speaker 3: A break. We're back wrapping up this hour of Ryan Shuling Live. After this.
00:31:42
Speaker 7: Any babies in the United States that are aborted or black, about forty percent of abortions Nationwider of black babies, blacks represent about thirteen percent of the population. Does that sound like something a white supremacist would have poss.
00:32:02
Speaker 3: Let's see how The Southern Poverty Law Center interim president Brian Fair answers that.
00:32:10
Speaker 4: What I would say again is that SPLC.
00:32:13
Speaker 7: Supports reproductive They're calling somebody a white supremacist is a pretty serious charge, isn't it. I would think you would be able to defend that if your organization says that, you clearly seem unable to mister Gil, I'm not sure why you would think I'm not able to do anything here. The president of the SPLC, which labels pro lifers as racists, Well, does your organization just hurl around epithets like that without any justification.
00:32:40
Speaker 3: Representative Brandon Gill's a rock star Republican Texas, bright young guy. He's married to Danesh Jasus, his daughter, and he's just exquisitely talented at these interrogations through congressional hearings, and what he reveals there is that this is the exact opposite. It's not racist to be pro life, You could argue is racist to be pro abortion because, as he stated, forty percent of abortions happen within the Black American population. You are killing black babies. These Planned Parenthood centers are set up where largely in urban centers where there are higher concentrations of black populations. The former justice now departed rip Ruth Vader Ginsburg, as Dan Kaplis points out, famously said that abortion is designed to control the populations that we don't want as many of Margaret Sanger herself a believer in eugenics, the founder of Planned Parenthood, an advocate for abortion. So when you talk about abortion rights reproductive rights, they don't even talk about abortion anymore. They weedn say that word anymore. What does that really mean is so that fewer black babies will be born? That is inherently racist. Not giving black women the ability to abort their babies at any point during the pregnancy, including right up until or just after the moment of birth. That's what the Colorado law on the books allows for. Well, that doesn't happen very often, right, and that choice should be ringing between a woman and her doctor. If you find a doctor death and those do exist. Who is willing to do a ninth month abortion elective not for the life of the mother. Now you get this watery language about the health of the mother. What about the mental health of the mother? What about a mother that's having a bad day, she's nine months in, she just can't afford this baby. The dad walked out on her. She doesn't want it. Cut this thing out of me, kill it. What I just described there is legal in the state of Colorado. You okay with that? I'm not, And this is not really my pet go to issue. It isn't. I know. It's the cause celebrit for Dan and I appreciate and I respect that, and I am pro life myself, and I do want to fight for the rights to have as few abortions as possible. But the fact that you're okay with on your conscience a late term, ninth month abortion for any reason or no reason at all, that's the Colorado law. No, I can't abide that an elective abortion should be done as early in the term as possible, if at all. And a young woman, especially especially those from disadvantaged communities, whether they be black, Hispanic, white, or anything else, should be provided the tools to truly make a choice where life is an affirmative choice, which is a preferred choice, because the stigma of an abortion is inherent, it's internal. A woman will live at that for the rest of her life, on her conscience, on her mind. It will affect her mental health, Make no mistake about it. I've known women who have had abortions. It rocks them to their core, to their souls, the guilt that they live with for the rest of their lives. It is no small decision to be made. So let's truly provide them with the tools, with the accommodations. Athleic Charities does this for expectant mothers. Maybe was an unexpected pregnancy, maybe the father's not in the picture, Maybe they feel like they can't afford to have this child. Give them the power to choose life. That is the preferred choice all the way across the board, even if it's carrying a baby to term and then giving that baby up for adoption. There are a lot of parents out there that can't conceive. They would dream of this scenario. They would give anything to adopt a healthy baby. Give them that opportunity. There's so much of an advantage to the choice of life, and there's so much downside to the choice of death, and Brandon gil perfectly illustrates that in that congressional hearing from yesterday a break, We're back Jimmy sang and Berger our midweek update joins us next in Ryan Schuling Life, it's June, it's hot, it's summer.
