Yes, the Tennis Icon and the Matel brand have teamed up to release a new Barbie doll in honor of her two thousand and seven banner year when she won the Grand Slam and led the charge for equal prize money for women in professional tennis. That is awesome. That win made Venus a five time champion and the first woman in tennis to earn equal prize money in a top level tournament. Venus says, growing up, I was taught early on that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. That belief has guided me to break barriers and use my platform the champion in causes like equal pay, not just for myself but for those who come after me. Wow, that is awesome. During World War One, she was sent to army camps and hospitals to establish libraries at each site in five Southern states.
