ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Some people don’t just lie, they build a whole personality around it. We’re talking about the “die with a lie” type: confident, charming, always one story away from sounding credible, and somehow still treated like the most interesting person in the room. Using the public Cheyenne Bryant conversation as a jumping-off point, we get honest about a reality most of us have lived: you don’t need to know her to know someone like her.
We break down what people mean when they talk about pathological lying, including the terms pseudologia fantastica and mythomania, and why this behavior can show up across dating, work, church life, politics, and social media. We also talk about why the internet can amplify fake success: staged photos, rented lifestyles, and the rush of getting others to believe a version of you that isn’t real. The hard part is that when you challenge the lie with facts, you can get labeled jealous or bitter, even when you’re simply telling the truth.
Then we pivot to protection and healing. If you’re faith-based, we talk discernment and what it looks like to let God order your steps. If you’re not, we get practical: stop listening so hard to words and start looking at actions, patterns, and details. Liars can sell the headline, but they usually can’t keep the specifics straight.
If you’ve ever been burned by someone’s story, listen closely, share this with a friend who needs it, and subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next. After you listen, leave a review and tell us: what’s the biggest red flag you’ve learned to trust?

00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:02.240
This is reality and revelation.
00:00:02.560 --> 00:00:04.559
No filter, just truth.
00:00:04.719 --> 00:00:11.919
What's really going on for me and you not here to condemn, we're here to unfold the story behind the story untold.
00:00:12.240 --> 00:00:14.480
Open your eyes that the light break through.
00:00:14.720 --> 00:00:16.640
Reality and revelation.
00:00:23.199 --> 00:00:24.480
Welcome everybody.
00:00:24.640 --> 00:00:28.800
We are at episode number two of the Reality and Revelation Podcast.
00:00:28.960 --> 00:00:30.559
I am your host, Rick Peterson.
00:00:30.800 --> 00:00:36.799
And listen, I'm excited that you decided to come back up to the table a second time and get a second helping of what we're doing.
00:00:36.880 --> 00:00:46.560
Today's conversation is going to be one that everybody's going to relate to because if you are like me, you know somebody that fits what we're going to talk about today.
00:00:46.719 --> 00:00:52.640
So I want to start the conversation with uh talking about a topic that you are probably tired of.
00:00:52.799 --> 00:00:55.520
And that topic is Cheyenne Bryan, not Dr.
00:00:55.679 --> 00:01:01.759
Cheyenne Bryan, because she refuses to provide any information to support uh the doctoral status.
00:01:01.840 --> 00:01:08.239
And as somebody who is in education and strives for a doctorate, I understand the work that comes along with that.
00:01:08.400 --> 00:01:17.120
So I am going to reserve that title for people who are actually willing to validate the fact that they've done the work uh to actually gain the credentialing.
00:01:17.280 --> 00:01:19.680
But I want to talk about Shy and Bryant for just a second.
00:01:19.760 --> 00:01:28.799
And I'm going to talk about it from a different perspective because I've been somebody that has kind of been consumed with this conversation simply because it's interesting to me.
00:01:28.879 --> 00:01:39.519
And it is, and the thing that is interesting to me is not who she is, not her looks, not the platforms that she's been on or any of that, not how she's fallen apart.
00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:45.599
But the thing that is interesting to me about Cheyenne Bryant is we all know a Cheyenne Bryant.
00:01:45.840 --> 00:01:47.040
Well, Rick, wait a minute.
00:01:47.280 --> 00:01:48.000
What are you talking about?
00:01:48.079 --> 00:01:50.480
I don't know somebody who has a doctorate or claims to have a doctorate.
00:01:50.560 --> 00:01:51.280
No, no, no.
00:01:51.519 --> 00:01:53.280
We all know a Cheyenne Bryant.
00:01:53.359 --> 00:01:59.359
Everybody watching this podcast, if you are watching and if you are listening, you can think of somebody that you know that is a Cheyenne Bryant.
00:01:59.439 --> 00:02:04.799
And when I say a Cheyenne Bryant, I'm talking about somebody who will die with a lie.
00:02:05.280 --> 00:02:10.879
Somebody who absolutely unequivocally, no matter what you put in front of them, will die with a lie.
00:02:10.960 --> 00:02:15.120
There are some of you ladies that are watching right now, because you dated that guy who would die with a lie.
00:02:15.280 --> 00:02:20.639
No matter what, uh, no matter how you caught him or no matter what was going on, uh, he was shaggy, wasn't me.
00:02:20.800 --> 00:02:31.759
And no matter what it was, no matter if you had the text message, you could have even brought the other person into the room and he still would have denied that he was involved in something outside of the commitment that he had said to you.
00:02:31.919 --> 00:02:49.599
There are some of you that understand the Cheyenne Bryant aspect from uh your job, because your job has always told you you're the next one up for the promotion, or you're the next one that we're going to give this thing to, and no matter what happens, no matter how much you work to it, it seems like something always happens and uh that never comes to pass.
00:02:49.840 --> 00:02:57.360
Some of you know it from the church perspective because you had that, uh, you had that prophet or that apostle prophesy over your life what God was gonna do for you.
00:02:57.439 --> 00:03:08.800
And they told you that God was gonna give you the house and God was gonna give you the car, and God was gonna do listen, you was gonna be married in six months, and you believed it, and not only did they prophesy at you, they had you put a seed on it.
00:03:08.879 --> 00:03:10.960
Because y'all know what we how we like to do in church.
00:03:11.039 --> 00:03:12.479
Sometimes they wanted you to put a seed on it.
00:03:12.560 --> 00:03:17.120
And for those of you who aren't in church, that means they wanted you to give uh to what they were saying.
00:03:17.439 --> 00:03:26.400
And one week turned into two weeks, and two weeks turned into three weeks, that turned into months, and before you knew it, thing that you uh had been told didn't come to pass.
00:03:26.719 --> 00:03:32.159
And you start to realize when it comes to the shine bryants of the world that you are not unique.
00:03:32.240 --> 00:03:36.400
You are not the only person they are having this conversation with or about.
00:03:37.680 --> 00:03:47.120
Because when it comes to people who lie for no reason, you will find that they do it in every aspect of life.
00:03:47.360 --> 00:03:53.919
The clinical and historical medical terms for pathological liar is pseudologia fantastica.
00:03:54.000 --> 00:03:55.840
The other term is mythnomania.
00:03:56.319 --> 00:04:05.280
So pseudologia fantastica and mythomania are the two terms that are clinically and historically medical terms for pathological liars.
00:04:05.520 --> 00:04:16.319
Pathological lying is not recognized as a standalone mental health diagnosis in major manuals such as DSM5, but rather a behavioral symptom.
00:04:16.560 --> 00:04:23.439
And I want to talk about that for just a second, because when I told you that we all know a Shyam Brian, we all know the person that lies for no reason.
00:04:23.680 --> 00:04:27.759
We all know the person who got all the girls in high school.
00:04:28.079 --> 00:04:34.720
All know the person who was the top athlete in their school, even though you cannot find any record of them ever being on the team.
00:04:34.959 --> 00:04:39.600
All know the person who got all the girls in high school, even though you were their first date.
00:04:39.920 --> 00:04:46.000
All know the person whose business is doing absolutely fantastic, even though their car is up for repossession.
00:04:46.319 --> 00:04:53.759
All know the person who was is right there on the edge of doing something great, and somehow they never actually make it over the edge.
00:04:54.079 --> 00:04:57.759
We all know the person that has the grandiose story.
00:04:57.839 --> 00:05:06.879
They've been on the best vacation, they've gone to the best thing, they've been, they've eaten the best food, they've flown in the private jet, uh, they've done some of the best things that you will ever experience.
00:05:06.959 --> 00:05:09.519
And ladies and gentlemen, they never have any documentation to support it.
00:05:09.600 --> 00:05:19.519
And for some of us, I want you to be clear that when it comes to Pseudologia Fantastica or Mythomania, it's not just the big lie, it's the little lie as well.
00:05:20.879 --> 00:05:26.160
Because you have that person that you know that is always gonna call you back and never calls you back.
00:05:26.399 --> 00:05:28.639
That's somebody that's lying all the time for no reason.
00:05:28.879 --> 00:05:39.439
You have that person that uh uh you lent them some money and they always gonna pay your money back next payday, but next payday never comes around and they've always got an excuse for why that can't happen.
00:05:39.680 --> 00:05:55.600
Those are the kind of people that we are talking about today because we that are ethical and honest and truthful, we that uh actually have moral standards and fibers and values, we get driven nuts by these kind of people because they're the people that get the attention.
00:05:55.759 --> 00:06:12.639
They're the people that command the room, they are the people that when they meet somebody new, they are charming and they are engaging and they are energetic and they are vibrant and they're like, oh my gosh, the room just gravitates to them because they have a personality and an or that is unmatched.
00:06:13.120 --> 00:06:30.399
Well, you the person who is actually telling the truth about everything that you're doing, you the person that is actually living the life that you are supposed to live, you the person that's uh actually not posting everything for the gram or actually not uh living through social media, uh uh is actually uh wondering why uh nobody's as attracted to you as they are this person.
00:06:30.560 --> 00:06:35.839
Do you understand that liars sometimes are the best in their professions?
00:06:37.040 --> 00:06:44.079
Attorneys, politicians, doctors who tell you this medicine is gonna be the best medicine, it's gonna take care of everything you have.
00:06:44.319 --> 00:06:56.240
Pastors, preachers, some of the people that we listen to the most suffer from pseudologia fantastica or from mythomania.
00:06:57.040 --> 00:07:07.839
They suffer from being somebody that makes a living, that has a platform, that has a stage simply because they cannot stop lying.
00:07:09.040 --> 00:07:11.199
And you know somebody just like that.
00:07:11.279 --> 00:07:12.720
That person's already popped into your head.
00:07:12.879 --> 00:07:20.800
Matter of fact, there are some of you watching this podcast that multiple people have popped into your head because you like that person don't never tell the truth.
00:07:20.959 --> 00:07:31.600
Yet and still, when they walk into a room, when they open their mouths, when they are at a gathering, they are the person that everybody is sitting on the edge of their seat listening to because they are fascinated.
00:07:33.120 --> 00:07:42.319
And it is that fascination that people have with them that fuels the mythnomania and the pseudologia fantastica.
00:07:42.800 --> 00:07:51.439
It is that uh that rush, that vibe of being the center of attention that is the thing that drives the behavior.
00:07:52.000 --> 00:08:26.319
Because, like any fire, if you take the air out, the fire goes out on its own, which is why Cheyenne Bryant, when she had kind of faded out of the news cycle and wasn't as relevant in conversations, decided to jump on the Netflix trend of looking at different cameras to see what it was while the music played with all of these pieces of paper, because I refuse to acknowledge some of them as degrees, all of these pieces of paper standing behind her, as she put on a cap and gown that you can purchase from Amazon just to get herself back in the conversation again.
00:08:26.480 --> 00:08:50.960
And that is why, in this environment, in a social media environment where everybody's posting their best life, everybody is posting the trip that they're taking, everybody is posting the car that they have, everybody is posting uh the home that they have when realistically uh the home is in Airbnb, the car is rented, and the vacation are photos that they pull down uh from pictures you can find on the internet.
00:08:52.799 --> 00:09:04.240
We are now dealing with a culture of people that get their high not off their accomplishments, but they get their high off the next lie they can tell.
00:09:04.639 --> 00:09:11.120
They get their lie off the next person they can get to believe they are who they are actually not.
00:09:12.159 --> 00:09:24.639
They get their high from telling a room full of people, whether it be in sales or whether it be uh uh on a date or whether it be uh in a pro in a forum just like I'm doing right now.
00:09:25.440 --> 00:09:34.639
They get their next high off telling you how great they are when in all actuality there is nothing below the surface.
00:09:35.279 --> 00:09:43.360
They are as shallow, as hollow, and as empty as any bottle that you've taken all the content out of.
00:09:43.679 --> 00:09:47.840
So let's talk about it for just a second because this is something to me that is fascinating.
00:09:48.080 --> 00:10:03.600
Personality disorders that are linked with these types of people, this type of mindset, this type of mental detachment from reality are linked with narcissist narcissism, borderline personality disorder, antisocial.
00:10:03.679 --> 00:10:06.399
They're also linked with problems with the nervous system.
00:10:06.480 --> 00:10:10.480
So while everybody looks at Cheyenne Brian, I think it's just a funny story.
00:10:10.720 --> 00:10:12.960
They think she's just out there chasing clout.
00:10:13.039 --> 00:10:20.480
They feel like she's out there posting thirst trap pictures because remember, when she fell out of the media, immediately she went to the bathing suit.
00:10:21.360 --> 00:10:38.559
I want you to understand the mental cognition deterioration that can be associated with someone who has these types of uh not just ideologies of grandeur, but it's actually living out the fantasy that is playing in their head.
00:10:38.960 --> 00:10:41.919
And you might say to me, well, Rick, how is that important?
00:10:42.159 --> 00:10:44.240
Because it's not just with people who lie.
00:10:44.399 --> 00:11:00.639
People who have mental health issues don't just play this out on social media platforms and they're not just sitting with Shannon Sharp and Cam Newton, but people who have uh these types of mental disorders that uh believe a reality that does not exist also go on to commit mass shootings.
00:11:01.279 --> 00:11:21.679
They also go on to do exactly what the gentleman at the In N Out Burger did over uh a couple of weeks ago when you're watching this, where uh he took out a firearm, killed three people, and injured hundreds or thousand or tens more because he was playing out something from early report that was in his head.
00:11:22.559 --> 00:11:42.799
So while we think it's cute and it's funny, and while we make fun of it and we laugh at the person that is constantly lying for no reason, while uh we've dated the person uh that is there, and we always talk about you should have seen the red flags and you should have seen the signs and girl or well boy, I don't know why uh you didn't see the red signs.
00:11:42.960 --> 00:11:50.159
I want you to understand that there are some people that believe it so strongly that they can even convince you.
00:11:53.279 --> 00:11:55.200
Wanna say I'm not wanna say I'm wrong?
00:11:55.360 --> 00:12:05.840
Let's talk about some of the politicians who uh whose platforms are against LGBTQIA plus members, but are also on grinder and have been outed.
00:12:06.480 --> 00:12:13.679
Let's talk about some of the pastors who preach abstinence and want to make sure that you're living holy and living righteous.
00:12:13.919 --> 00:12:22.399
But there was a pastor uh that was in Virginia that was caught uh for over a year sending inappropriate photos to a 15-year-old boy in Pennsylvania.
00:12:22.799 --> 00:12:48.159
We can go on and on about the person that makes such a compelling presentation about who they are and their moral structure and their morning, what they stand for and what they believe in, only really to find out that it's not really who they are past their ideology, past what they talk about, past what they are trying to convince you that they are for their own benefit.
00:12:48.639 --> 00:13:08.080
Because whether it's the politician, the pastor, the social media influencer, the business person, the lawyer, the doctor, whomever you may want to say, the thing that they all have in common is they all do this for their own benefit, which is what every liar does.
00:13:08.399 --> 00:13:25.600
They're doing it because they're trying to convince you that they are somebody you should trust, you should believe in, you should have faith in because they are an expert in whatever they are lying about, and they want to convince you that they can help you become a better person.
00:13:26.399 --> 00:13:30.240
Now, some of you are gonna say, wait a minute, Rick, aren't you a pastor?
00:13:30.559 --> 00:13:31.200
I am.
00:13:31.919 --> 00:13:33.039
Absolutely.
00:13:33.360 --> 00:13:37.200
Well, wait a minute, Rick, why why why are you attacking some of your own?
00:13:37.279 --> 00:13:46.879
I I'm not attacking my own because the pastors that are uh div that are uh divulged in that type of behavior are not pastors I would ever associate with because they're not pastors, they're predators.
00:13:47.039 --> 00:13:53.200
But that's a whole nother conversation for a whole other podcast episode, which is why you should probably tune into episode number three.
00:13:54.080 --> 00:14:05.600
But the reality is for people who deal with this, they are either pathological or compulsive with their lying, and they are so adept at it.
00:14:05.759 --> 00:14:14.159
They have embodied it so much, they have made it so much a part of their personality that they can recount these stories like they actually happened.
00:14:14.480 --> 00:14:22.879
And you know the person, you are thinking of the person that lies so much that they actually believe every word they're saying.
00:14:23.440 --> 00:14:40.960
Which is why, for us, those of us that live in truth and are based in reality and don't live in a fairy tale land, we have to deal with the fallout of the person who suffers from the uh medical conditions I've talked about previously.
00:14:41.279 --> 00:14:47.360
Pathological liars and compulsive liars are things that make it harder for the rest of us who are actually trying to do the right thing.
00:14:47.519 --> 00:14:58.799
So the reality is the fact that now we are battling up a hill that we should never be on if the person who was living a lie hadn't built the hill that we are climbing.
00:14:59.039 --> 00:15:06.480
Because now, when somebody who is truthful goes to actually debunk what is being said, we are looked at as haters.
00:15:07.039 --> 00:15:18.080
We are looked at as people who are jealous, we are looked at as people who don't have our lives together, we are looked at as people that are the outsiders that wish they could be like those that are lying.
00:15:19.519 --> 00:15:24.960
And we have nothing to base our situations on except for facts.
00:15:26.799 --> 00:15:33.759
Facts that are sometimes irrefutable, facts that are sometimes unquestionable facts that are sometimes unequivocable.
00:15:34.320 --> 00:15:44.559
But yet and still, facts and charisma don't always line up because there is nothing better than a good story.
00:15:44.960 --> 00:15:52.799
And not only is there nothing better than a good story, there is nothing better than a good story told by a good storyteller.
00:15:54.399 --> 00:16:05.279
And some of you have faced that storyteller that can spin an amazing story, which is why there are times in your life where you were made to look like the villain when you weren't.
00:16:05.519 --> 00:16:08.879
There were times when somebody said that you did something that you never did.
00:16:08.960 --> 00:16:22.879
There were times when people pinned things on you that had nothing to do with you, and while you were standing on the rooftop screaming at the fact that that wasn't me, they have convinced the entire world that you are the problem.
00:16:23.360 --> 00:16:37.440
Which is why when you've dated that individual that went back and had all of your friends convinced that you were the problem, or that boss at work that had convinced the higher-ups that you were not productive, even though you were doing all the work and they were taking all the credit.
00:16:38.000 --> 00:16:42.720
There are many times in most of our lives that we run into this type of situation.
00:16:42.879 --> 00:16:52.159
And the reality is we get pushed down the peg for somebody that hasn't earned the things that they've acquired.
00:16:53.120 --> 00:17:04.160
And if we're honest, most of us we feel overlooked, feel angry, feel jealous, we feel resentful.
00:17:04.400 --> 00:17:22.160
And if you let those things set in to your mind, to your heart, to your spirit, you can find yourself so jaded that when the next opportunity presents itself, you will automatically cut it off because you have been burned in this situation fast.
00:17:22.319 --> 00:17:32.160
Now we become judgers of people and situations far too fast because we have told ourselves we are going to make sure this never happens to me again.
00:17:32.640 --> 00:17:43.680
And because we have made because we have told ourselves this is never going to happen to us again, now we have started to cut things off faster than we should have.
00:17:44.799 --> 00:17:56.400
We cut off people and situations faster than necessary because now where we once were trusting and believing, now we are protective of our space.
00:17:56.559 --> 00:17:58.559
You are trying to protect your peace.
00:17:58.799 --> 00:18:03.200
You are trying to make sure that you are not ever put in this situation again.
00:18:03.279 --> 00:18:05.920
You are trying to make sure that you are never taken advantage of.
00:18:06.079 --> 00:18:15.279
And the one thing that you don't realize, here is the revelation that you are cutting yourself out from people, places, and spaces that you are actually supposed to be into.
00:18:15.440 --> 00:18:17.279
You are actually supposed to be a part of.
00:18:17.359 --> 00:18:27.119
You are actually, this was the opportunity that you had been waiting on, but because it made you feel uncomfortable, you let that opportunity go by.
00:18:27.279 --> 00:18:29.039
You said, that's not for me.
00:18:29.279 --> 00:18:31.680
You said, I'll catch the next one.
00:18:31.839 --> 00:18:38.960
And here's the thing I want you to understand that you are still allowing that liar's lies to control your life far after they're gone.
00:18:39.279 --> 00:19:09.440
That person has moved on to the next lie or the next scam, and you are the one picking up the pieces of what is left of your existence, trying to reframe and put them back together so that you can go on living, and you have not healed properly enough mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and in some cases spiritually, because the trust that you once had as people has been ripped away by somebody who lives a lie that is now impacting you.
00:19:10.559 --> 00:19:12.240
So here's the revelation.
00:19:12.480 --> 00:19:13.920
Rick, what do I do?
00:19:14.160 --> 00:19:16.559
How do I deal with what is going on?
00:19:16.720 --> 00:19:18.400
How do I adjudicate myself?
00:19:18.559 --> 00:19:20.400
How do I tell real from fake?
00:19:20.559 --> 00:19:23.839
How do I know uh what is uh honest and what is a lie?
00:19:24.000 --> 00:19:35.359
Because you've said that these liars are so good at their lie because they actually live them and they believe them and they can articulate them in such a way where they are convincing, how can I tell the real from the fake?
00:19:35.920 --> 00:19:41.200
I'll tell you the number one thing you can do is use uh what we what I like to call discernment.
00:19:41.599 --> 00:19:46.720
You can start to ask God, lead me and guide me.
00:19:46.960 --> 00:19:48.160
We want to get biblical.
00:19:48.240 --> 00:19:54.319
Uh the Bible says that he will lead you and guide you into all A-L-L, truth and righteousness.
00:19:54.480 --> 00:20:11.200
So, number one, if you are somebody that is a spiritual individual, you can avoid uh the pathological liar, you can avoid the compulsive liar, you can avoid the person uh that has these clinical, uh, these clinical terms that we've talked about, uh mythomania and pseudologia fantastica.
00:20:11.279 --> 00:20:14.799
You can avoid all of that simply by asking God to order your steps.
00:20:15.279 --> 00:20:20.319
Now, understand that asking God to order your steps is gonna walk you out of some rooms that you wanna be in.
00:20:20.480 --> 00:20:27.119
And I also want you to understand that asking God to order your steps is gonna walk you into some rooms that you don't think you're supposed to be in.
00:20:27.759 --> 00:20:33.759
But if you are somebody who is faith-based, you're gonna have to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.
00:20:33.839 --> 00:20:37.599
You'll have to acknowledge Him in all your ways and allow Him to direct your path.
00:20:37.759 --> 00:20:41.759
But if you are somebody that says, listen, all that church stuff, not for me.
00:20:41.839 --> 00:20:44.079
I'm just trying to make sure I don't get caught up in the hustle.
00:20:44.160 --> 00:20:47.039
I'm just trying to make sure I don't get, uh, I don't get conned.
00:20:47.200 --> 00:20:53.440
I'm just trying to make sure I'm not somebody uh that is on the wrong side of somebody else's delusions of grandeur.
00:20:53.599 --> 00:20:57.920
How do I, the non-faith-based person, do what it is you're calling me to do?
00:20:58.079 --> 00:21:08.079
Number one, you're gonna have to learn to read people's body language because the one thing that liars rely on is they rely on you listening to their words and not watching their actions.
00:21:09.279 --> 00:21:20.079
How can you tell me that you just came from the best vacation in the world when you wearing, when you're eating ramen at the house?
00:21:20.720 --> 00:21:28.480
How can you tell me you just had the best experience ever when you riding on a donut on your car?
00:21:28.799 --> 00:21:38.960
How can you tell me that you have accomplished all of these degrees and have all of this education or all of this experience when you're working at McDonald's?
00:21:39.200 --> 00:21:50.000
And while I'm not degrading any of those things because I understand life happens to all of us, what I'm saying is there are going to be times where you are going to have to stop listening and start looking.
00:21:50.240 --> 00:22:08.640
You are going to have to be able to stop listening to what your ears can hear, and you're going to have to start believing what your eyes see, because the one thing that liars can't Not stand is when you start to ask questions beyond the things that they can answer, because every liar remembers the large part of the lie.
00:22:09.359 --> 00:22:12.640
But the thing that they struggle with is details.
00:22:13.200 --> 00:22:25.680
Because when you have to tell the same lie over and over and over, there's a higher probability that you will not be consistent with the details.
00:22:26.079 --> 00:22:36.480
So for those of you that are saying, I want to make sure I am not dating the next Cheyenne Bryant, for those of you that are saying, I want to make sure I am not buying a house from the next Cheyenne Brian.
00:22:36.640 --> 00:22:41.599
Those of you that are saying, I want to make sure that my next business opportunity is not with the next Cheyenne Bryant.
00:22:41.759 --> 00:22:48.559
For those of you that are saying, I want to make sure that the next church I go to is not pastored by a Cheyenne Bryant.
00:22:49.680 --> 00:23:04.319
I want to make sure that you are careful when it comes to your evaluation, not of what they say, but be critical and skeptic, be critical and have a high evaluation IQ of what you see.
00:23:05.200 --> 00:23:10.319
Because the one thing liars cannot manipulate is actual detail.
00:23:10.559 --> 00:23:17.680
While some of the pieces of paper that were behind Cheyenne Bryant when she did uh the the Netflix trend said Dr.
00:23:17.839 --> 00:23:22.559
Bryant in all lowercase letters, or did not have a seal.
00:23:23.519 --> 00:23:32.960
Or when people zoomed in and blew them up, people started to clown what they were because they were certificates of achievement, not diplomas or degrees.
00:23:33.279 --> 00:23:47.680
You better blow up the things that are in somebody's life and take a real hard look at what you see, because you will find that what you see can be the thing that can get you out of a situation you were never supposed to be in.
00:23:48.400 --> 00:23:57.839
So as we close this segment, don't get caught up with the next Cheyenne Brian.
00:23:58.160 --> 00:24:04.319
Make sure that you are listening, but make sure that you are fact-checking everything you hear.
00:24:04.559 --> 00:24:06.720
Don't worry about what's on the Instagram ruler.
00:24:06.880 --> 00:24:08.559
Don't worry about what's on somebody's timeline.
00:24:08.640 --> 00:24:17.279
Don't worry about uh don't worry about what's in somebody's Facebook post, don't worry about what's on somebody's Snapchat because what I post is not who I am.
00:24:17.440 --> 00:24:19.839
Let me say that one more time for somebody in the back.
00:24:20.000 --> 00:24:22.400
What I post is not who I am.
00:24:23.119 --> 00:24:27.039
Who I am is more about why I post.
00:24:27.839 --> 00:24:51.519
So when you have somebody that is high moral character and high value, when you have somebody because high value men was something that was in the conversation loop for quite a long time, when you have somebody that is high value, most high value people are humble, most high value people are quiet, most high value people are not braggadocious or arrogant.
00:24:51.599 --> 00:24:58.319
Most high value people are people that are more willing to help you than hurt you.
00:24:59.039 --> 00:25:02.960
So if you're wondering, is this person the next Cheyenne?
00:25:03.599 --> 00:25:08.319
Is this person the next person that is going to try to convince me of something that isn't really real?
00:25:08.640 --> 00:25:16.799
Ask yourself, what can I see that I cannot hear?
00:25:17.279 --> 00:25:38.160
And when you realize that for most people that uh suffer from methanomoma, you will find that when you start to look at what you see past Instagram, past Facebook, and you stop listening to what they say, it will be easy to determine that this person has just lost their mind.
00:25:38.640 --> 00:25:49.119
And when we pay more attention to what we can see, you can see the signs that the mental distress, that the mental disorder, that the delusion is there.
00:25:49.359 --> 00:26:03.200
Because if you go back and you research any mass shooter, you will find that when they interview his or her parents or people around them, they will tell you that they saw changes in pattern of behavior.
00:26:03.440 --> 00:26:14.720
They saw a mental shift in the individual, whether it was detachment or abandonment or food changes, they became obsessed with something where that was all they talked about.
00:26:15.039 --> 00:26:16.000
There were changes.
00:26:16.160 --> 00:26:24.799
There were signs, and the people around them chose to ignore the signs because they wanted to believe what the person was saying.
00:26:25.039 --> 00:26:26.720
Don't ignore the signs.
00:26:27.039 --> 00:26:32.480
Don't ignore the signs that this person uh is in a category that is all by themselves.
00:26:32.720 --> 00:26:37.279
Don't ignore the signs that this person cannot actually support what they're saying.
00:26:37.359 --> 00:26:43.039
Don't ignore the signs that this person uh doesn't have anything that they're talking about.
00:26:43.200 --> 00:26:48.559
Don't ignore the signs that this person is always about to do something, but it never actually happens.
00:26:48.720 --> 00:26:52.400
Don't ignore the signs for the person that always has an excuse.
00:26:53.200 --> 00:27:03.759
Because whether they're in business, whether they're in politics, whether they're in your personal life, whether they're in church, a liar is gonna lie.
00:27:05.039 --> 00:27:08.240
And the truth is never going to be in them.
00:27:08.559 --> 00:27:13.359
And if the truth is not in them, I don't think you should be around them.
00:27:13.440 --> 00:27:14.480
Hey, we want to thank everybody.
00:27:14.559 --> 00:27:22.000
