ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Brian Auger's "Closer to It" LP was one of the first records and first breakbeats I copped long ago, and his version of Eugene McDaniels' "Compared to What" on there remains a favorite. I bought most of these records many, many years ago - mainly for samples, but over the years I've come to really dig into the songs and music themselves. The living legend is still out there making music today, and it felt important to put together a small tribute to his work, a few days from his 87th birthday. Salute!

Here's a few - not necessarily Swedish musicians only but an array of the pieces I picked up. Tracklist: Ragnar…

This tribute is long overdue since I have played his records consistently over many years. Truly majestic and inspirational music. These are …
