ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In the third of four campfire conversations, Bron and Lil from Project Sustainability Collective turn to the image that gives this series its name: the campfire.
Why a campfire? And what does gathering around one have to do with professional learning and learning for sustainability? Bron and Lil reflect on the kind of space they want to create for conversation, and on what each of us brings into that space, often without realising it.
Drawing on stories shared by educators, they explore how our own experiences shape how we understand sustainability and what can happen when those stories meet. Along the way, they consider who is really teaching whom and what this means for how educators design learning.
This episode is an invitation to bring your own story to the fire. If you haven't yet heard the first two conversations, we recommend starting there.
