ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode of the Rotary and Community Service Radio Show, Lili-Ann talks with Dr Julie Mulhauser — retired medical specialist, newly inaugurated President of the Balwyn Rotary Club, President of East Sider News, co-founder of the Friends of Belmont Park, and a volunteer with the Lighter Footprints Organisation.
Julie is one of Melbourne's eastern suburbs' most dedicated community advocates, with a focus on environmental sustainability and civic engagement. She brings to everything she does a rare combination of strategic thinking, professional discipline and genuine passion for public good.
In this conversation, Julie shares her thinking on two big themes: how sustainability action actually takes root in communities, and the tools and processes that make projects work. There is a great deal of practical wisdom here for anyone involved in community action at any scale.
