ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Kingfisher Mining Ltd (ASX:KFM) managing director Chris Bittar talked with Proactive about the company's $2.25 million capital raising and plans to accelerate copper-gold exploration at its Copper Blow Project in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
The placement, priced at 7.5 cents per share, represents a 5.6% premium to Kingfisher's 15-day volume-weighted average price (VWAP). Bittar highlighted strong support from existing shareholders alongside participation from new sophisticated and professional investors.
Copper Blow remains the company's primary exploration focus, with recent drilling delivering encouraging high-grade copper-gold results. These include 26 metres at 2.57% copper and 0.75 grams per tonne gold, including 13 metres at 4.07% copper and 1.20 grams per tonne gold.
The new funding will support further drilling, exploration and target generation, alongside resource drilling and metallurgical test work intended to contribute to a maiden mineral resource estimate.
Beyond Copper Blow, Kingfisher Mining will continue advancing its extensive Broken Hill portfolio, including prospective lead-zinc-silver and base metal targets. Bittar also discussed the company's mining and processing agreement with Broken Hill Mines Limited (ASX), which could provide an alternative pathway to future production.
