00:01:06
Speaker 2: But Lee, let's start with you first. Are you ready?
00:01:10
Speaker 4: Oh?
00:01:10
Speaker 5: I am?
00:01:11
Speaker 4: I mean I'm first and foremost a Dolphins fan, but kind of adopted Seattle as my team in the NFC. So let's see if they can pull through for us.
00:01:22
Speaker 2: Absolutely, Ian, I mean, here we go, man.
00:01:24
Speaker 3: I mean it's been you know, twelve years, and I made the proclamation on Wednesday that there will be a parade in Pioneer Square and soho, and that the Vince Lombardi Trophy is coming back to the Emerald City.
00:01:38
Speaker 2: What do you think.
00:01:40
Speaker 6: I think it'll happen. And I think it's going to happen in a very appropriate way by us being the Patriots, the ones we should have been last time. Oh my god, it couldn't be any better than that. It's when it became the Patriots that became the perfect scenario as a Seahawks fan to at least wipe away some of that feeling.
00:01:57
Speaker 3: We have absolutely no doubt, Ian, I mean this week, and you know what, it didn't get brought up as much as I thought it would about not giving the ball to mar Shawn Lynch the goal line.
00:02:09
Speaker 2: But what if that would have happened?
00:02:11
Speaker 7: Huh, Well, we don't won the Super Bowl and the team to stayed together for a while, and I think that's that's that's the problem with it, and it most I think Seahawk fans understand the pain we had to go through, not just from losing, but watching the team break up because of the internal you know, arguments of that kind of stuff, you know, of the marsh on the ball, and then it became the conspiracy theory all Pete.
00:02:33
Speaker 6: Wanted Russell to win the MVP and you know, conversations they should have never needed to happen, and it just did a stain on what otherwise was an unbelievably good, good team.
00:02:44
Speaker 8: Yeah, and you know what those put a spin on it, Sure put a spin on this.
00:02:50
Speaker 4: So Mark and I got our revenge. We're first and foremost Miami Hurricanes fans. So three years ago we had a title stolen from us, yes and in some respects against Ohio State, and we were yes, and we were able to revenge that. You know, it hasn't been quite as long about half that time. You know, maybe it's time you guys revenge it. So all three of us will will hopefully be very very happy come Sunday.
00:03:17
Speaker 2: Night, no doubt about it.
00:03:18
Speaker 3: And and Lee and I Ian we were together in his beautiful better half. Kim we were all together on the field prior to the game, and you know, we all know we were nine and a half ten.
00:03:30
Speaker 2: Point underdog, and we ended up winning by ten.
00:03:32
Speaker 3: And the thing that made me feel the most besides the Kanti Scott picked six, was afterwards a friend of mine who knows in Ohio state assistant football coach, said, Hey, I didn't think that you guys would get beat on both sides of the ball.
00:03:47
Speaker 2: He said, bat we didn't get beat, we got dominated. And when I.
00:03:51
Speaker 3: Found and he screenshotted me that text, I said, Wow, the you is back and listen, man, I'm here this week.
00:03:59
Speaker 2: Michael Irvan was here this week.
00:04:00
Speaker 3: I was talking to him about we should have won in the National Championship, but we are back in Hey, listen, man, let's let's see what Dari mensa.
00:04:07
Speaker 2: We got a lot of time till then, but let's get right into it.
00:04:09
Speaker 5: Guys.
00:04:10
Speaker 2: We're gonna play her prop heavy this segment. Ian. Let's start with you, all right, Okay, I'm gonna tell you one I love.
00:04:18
Speaker 3: I want to see what full time Fantasy things Kenneth Walker player prop over two and a half receptions.
00:04:27
Speaker 7: I love it.
00:04:29
Speaker 6: You know, we we actually have him for three point seven catches yep on the weekend, and and you know they'd like to play a lot of his own defense and when zone defense, we expect him to get over that number. And that's one of the ones I was going to point out to you. We like Kenneth Walker's receptions on that one a lot better than anything else. Kenneth Walker.
00:04:47
Speaker 5: All right, Lee, let me ask you this. Oh, let's let's let's look.
00:04:51
Speaker 4: Let's look even further into that. How about Kenneth Walker. I like over twenty three and a half receiving yards. He could get that on one catch.
00:04:59
Speaker 5: He to tackle and his little uh his.
00:05:02
Speaker 4: Way to you know, wind his way down the field.
00:05:05
Speaker 5: He can get a catch for twenty twenty five yards. They were alone.
00:05:08
Speaker 4: So even though I like the over two and a half, I actually like the over twenty three and a half receiving yards maybe even better.
00:05:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's interesting too, that could go I saw that. Uh, what do you have the in right now at Sam Darnald rushing yard total?
00:05:27
Speaker 2: What do you have that at and what side do you come out with on that?
00:05:31
Speaker 6: Well, the interesting ones for us at quarterbacks, so we have Donald pretty much right on. We have two carries for five yards, you know, which is kind of right on his number.
00:05:39
Speaker 4: I thought it would be higher.
00:05:40
Speaker 6: When it came out, right, two carries five yards. I want to I want to make sure I get this out as first quarterback rushing yards. You know, we have Drake May six carries twenty four yards, who's over under on the on the Super Bowl thirty seven and a half. So we're actually pretty heavy on the under there. It's one that really stuck out that I started, and so I want to make sure I mentioned that one. Whereas Donold is on, we have made quite a bit under on the rushing total.
00:06:07
Speaker 3: That's crazy, all right, Ian, Let's keep it rolling. What else sticks out to you and you just go with it. But I'm gonna throw one at them JSN receiving yards.
00:06:17
Speaker 2: What do you think?
00:06:19
Speaker 6: Okay, so you know they've been pretty tired on JASN. I mean their number is like our number. We have them six for ninety and so we're we're pretty.
00:06:26
Speaker 7: Close to where where where that is.
00:06:28
Speaker 6: Where we think the big value on Jackson Smith and Jigba is And it seems to happen every single week, and I don't understand it is his touchdown number. He's minus a dollar ten for a touchdown again this week. Every single week of the season, he's either even money plus one hundred minus a dollar ten. It's always really low. So we think the best value on in Jigbe is that is that touchdown. We have him scoring a touchdown this week one hundred percent, and so I would play that at minus a dollar ten.
00:06:56
Speaker 3: Okay, what else stands out to you on the Seahawks side as potential plays.
00:07:01
Speaker 6: Yeah, the Seahawks side, we like Donald to throw two touchdowns at minus a dollar twenty one. Good value there. We have them for two and I'll tell you you know, we were a real hesitant as you remember you called me out on the interception last time and he was the best number for no interceptions against the Rams, and I was hesitant to say it, but we haven't for no interceptions at plus one oh one. So we like both those numbers on Donald. And as far as May, you know his one interception is too expensive. It's a it's minus a dollar forty five. We think he's definitely gonna throw an interception, but minus a dollar forty five is a little bit difficult. But with May two touchdowns, a plus a buck twenty two two passing touchdowns. We think that's a pretty reasonable number and a good value at one twenty two. The big place for us on May is the under on the rushing again, we have him for thirty We have him for twenty four yards over under is thirty seven and a half. Yeah, the Seahawks, though the injugumate touchdown is a good one. We like that at a dollar ten. And then look, we think Cupp is going to get over two and a half catches again, playing a decent amount of zone defense that they do. We like Cup to get three catches. It is minus a buck thirty five, but we like him to get at least three catches on the day.
00:08:13
Speaker 3: Okay, Lee, I'm gonna get to this before and I'm gonna come back to you Ian on other Patriot player props, Lee, who do you like in terms of Super Bowl MVP That something that stands out to you the most? I mean, the obviously will always be the quarterback, but is there somebody like a dark horse like a Rasid Shaheed or someone of that ilk that you think Pop's Douglas by all, the Patriots aren't gonna win, but regardless somebody out there that you think you can get.
00:08:40
Speaker 2: Good value for.
00:08:42
Speaker 4: So I almost never play this proper. I'm gonna be honestly, the only one I bet is Sam Darnold, and it's just one of these things if you play too many props.
00:08:51
Speaker 5: I had a friend one time. I love to tell the story. We go to Vegas. This is probably thirty years ago.
00:08:57
Speaker 4: He had forty nine bets on props. It took him literally almost two hours to greade everything, almost two hours, and when he figured a lot, he was twenty five and twenty four and he lost like six wagers, like losing six units because all the juice just ate him alive.
00:09:18
Speaker 5: I don't know if you know this.
00:09:19
Speaker 4: He and here's how I know this.
00:09:21
Speaker 5: I'll tell the story.
00:09:21
Speaker 4: Also, do you know the first Super Bowl they attached player props to?
00:09:26
Speaker 5: You probably do because you're so into it.
00:09:29
Speaker 6: I don't, Okay, I know the guy who did.
00:09:33
Speaker 4: I don't know who the year it was though, Okay, So it was the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots and it was the fresh It was the first Super Bowl we score a touchdown and when he crashed you, I think it was nine to one when he crashed.
00:09:48
Speaker 5: Through and scored.
00:09:48
Speaker 4: I was with all my dad's friends and we were at the Super Bowl and we had come from from Tahoe and to.
00:09:58
Speaker 5: See the wagers.
00:10:00
Speaker 4: People were betting it early and often at the Super Bowl, I mean, and there were people literally who had no stake in the game who went absolutely nuts. So that's one of the reasons why I went absolutely nuts. Was someone hit a long shot the fridge scoring a touchdown against the Patriots.
00:10:19
Speaker 5: So just a little bit of history on player props.
00:10:22
Speaker 2: That's interesting.
00:10:23
Speaker 3: And you know what, unfortunately, much to the late great Walter Payton's dismay, that Mike Dicka gave the ball to refrigerator Perry instead of a guy who broke his back, his legs and every other part of his anatomy to that franchise for more than a decade going into that game. And I don't blame I'm just gonna say this on a side note because I went to school at Miami with his son who I just ran into this week, Jared Payton.
00:10:51
Speaker 2: I don't blame Walter Payton.
00:10:53
Speaker 3: Whatsoever for being pissed off and afterwards for Dicka at first to double down on Oh, I didn't know it meant that he realized, like, yeah, yeah, if you didn't know, you knew, you knew, Mike, you knew. Uh So there's that Ian Patriock player crops. What else stands out to you, Ramandre Stevenson, Trayveon Henderson, anything else?
00:11:15
Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, we're actually a little bit better on Henderson. We you know, Henderson's over under on rushing yards is seventeen and a half. We have them for twenty six. But the real value potentially could be Henderson with a touchdown. We have twenty five percent touchdown at a plus four seventy five. And going on with lishad Man, you're exactly right with the transaction costs and all these props, and so it's it's a lot of times a lot of fun to play, you know, the ones that are long shots it, you know, and play them for fun. Some of the other ones like that you know that you feel like really confident you put them in parlays and things. Is great, but you know, if you're betting a ton of parlare or a ton of straight bets on these things, the transaction costs will get you. And and so you really want to pick your spots. And I want to reiterate that that's an important point you brought up, but anyway, we'll get back. I we like to try on Henderson in yards and we like him for a twenty five percent touchdown at plus a four to seventy five. We think that's pretty good. And I heard you mention Pop Douglass. You know, here's the thing is, you know we have Pop for two point four catches his over unders one and a half. You know, I like pop bets when the numbers one and a half and we have them for two and a half, it means they're closer to three than they are to two, and it's not difficult to get two catches, especially if we think they're going to be in a trailing position chasing from behind. So I would point out a Pop Douglass over one and a half catches is good, and that means I also would play over his yards over under on yard at just ten and a half, and we have them for twenty four and a lot of times when these guys are in that chase situation, you'll get these over one and a half. You'll get that two catch or that three catch. And so I really like that angle in this one as well, and then the last one I'll bring up on their side, the Patriots side is Hunter Henry. We have Hunter Henry at fifty We don't have the other receivers for very good games, but we do have Hunter Henry at fifty one yards the over unders thirty nine. We have him for a fifty percent touchdown at plus two thirty. Again another kind of wrong shot touchdown at plus two thirty, but we have him for a better chance than the other guys digs with fifty percent touchdown at a plus two to seventy number. But that's going to be a more difficult threading for him than it will be for Henry.
00:13:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to ask you about how.
00:13:16
Speaker 4: Much to bring up a player here for New England like to get in.
00:13:20
Speaker 5: I like to get his thoughts on it. And it's Stefan Diggs.
00:13:23
Speaker 4: I'm watching him, and you know, I use analytics a lot, that's my background in finance, but also from playing. There's something about it. I think he's lost at least a.
00:13:33
Speaker 2: Step, no doubt, no doubt.
00:13:36
Speaker 4: You know is over under is four and a half catches, and I know he caught five and four in the last two games. But the first game of the playoffs was two, and some other games in the last half some twos and threes. His only real big games this year were nine catches for one thirty eight against Baltimore and six for one on one against the Jets. I mean two, I mean absolutely horrific secondaries, and he's going to be facing one of the top secondaries plays a lot more man demand than than some of these other teams play, and without him getting a lot of separation. You know, let's say, obviously if they are trailing, that would help that number.
00:14:14
Speaker 5: To get over.
00:14:14
Speaker 4: But I have it, like I figured out three point two catches, and I think he's certainly way on the down side of his career. I wouldn't be shocked if he only ends up with something like two catches for the game.
00:14:26
Speaker 5: I just think four and a half is high.
00:14:29
Speaker 6: We have him for three point eight, I agree with you. You know, we kind of round up to four, but we have him for three point eight catches, and so we're there with you. I think he's got tough sliding, he's got some tough matchups with with Witherspoon, and I think he lost the step the catches he's getting in some of these other games or underneath stuff, and three point eight catches for Stephan Diggs is a really low number. So if you, if you know, if you're a Seahawks fan, you want to and you run a bet of unders, bet that may under and you can you can feel comfortable in that digs at four and a half, we have him three point eight.
00:14:59
Speaker 3: You know you guys, and I'm with you on the may under rushing yards, Ian, because I'm telling you right now this dark side number one ranked defense in the NFL. You can ask Christian McCaffrey in the last month when he faced his team, I don't think he had more than thirty eight yards combined in two games and it was like two point eight yards per carry.
00:15:21
Speaker 2: So we'll see. Ian. We always love talking to you. Check out your website full time Fantasy dot com. Look forward to it. Go Hawks.

Speaker 2: Radio row in San Francisco. MJ me m Jay in the midday and listen.
00:16:58
Speaker 3: To my show every day at ten am to one pm right here on Sports Radio ninety three three KGr AT then Seattle Spots Leader.
00:17:05
Speaker 2: We're getting ready for what.
00:17:07
Speaker 3: I believe will be the coronation of a champion on Sunday night at Levi Stadium, when the Seattle Seahawks bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the Emerald City, back where it belongs, and against a team that lost a very tough game back in.
00:17:24
Speaker 2: Super Bowl forty nine.
00:17:27
Speaker 3: All right, so there's so many different, you know things that you can bet on what color the gatorade will be for the winning coach when he gets dows this that I mean, you know, I remember one time and I got I lost on this one lee before we get to the national anthem, I lost on this bet. There were the Giants in the second time we're playing the Patriots. It was in twenty eleven, and they had an over under how many times, and I believe it was NBC who's doing the game with Mike Turico, how many times Giants quarterback Eli Manning? How many times they would show Peyton Manning? And remember four years prior to that, they kept showing Peyton in the suite in fist pumping, and the over under I want to say was three and a half.
00:18:19
Speaker 2: I bet it over. They didn't show Peyton Manning once in that Super Bowl.
00:18:24
Speaker 4: Yep, so you have some, right what's interesting? They'll have some for like one and a half. And these are random things. You know, if you're really hurting for action, you're betting these, so what's interesting. You'll see a bunch and you think, oh, these are slam dunk you know. You know Peyton, his brother will show him more than one and a half times, or you know someone else who's famous, let's say a significant other in the stands, things like that, and almost always, if you have to bet it, play the under, play the under because there's so many things they have to show and people they have to get in.
00:19:01
Speaker 5: They're not going to show.
00:19:02
Speaker 4: Someone like that two or three times.
00:19:04
Speaker 5: Almost never.
00:19:05
Speaker 3: Yes, so, Lee, So what do you think now in terms of that prop when you're talking about I mentioned the gatorade, the national anthem, what do you see in something like that? Your daughter Brook, who's a very talented woman, she's sang the national anthem at a lot of professional sporting events, in big time games. What do you think about what does she think about this in particular for someone who wants to place a player.
00:19:27
Speaker 4: Prop YEP, So what's interesting he is not saying it. Charlie Pooks has not sang the National Anthem anywhere. You can go online and look at a lot of different things and you're just not going to find him singing it. So he did an interview though, a couple of weeks ago with Ryan Seacrest, and usually, you know, like coaches, you don't get almost anything out of what they say. She got something out of that interview, and what she was able to glean out of the interview was she told Ryan Seacrest.
00:19:58
Speaker 5: First, Whitney used, who's also.
00:20:01
Speaker 4: From New Jersey, this is only the second National Anthem singer from New Jersey. He holds in high respect and thinks is the greatest of all time.
00:20:09
Speaker 5: Which if you argue with that, you're probably fighting.
00:20:14
Speaker 4: A losing argument. She is the greatest National Anthem singer of all time. I don't know if anyone can even come close to it. But what he has done is he is a composer. He does a lot of things, you know, doing his own music. And we're talking about from all the instruments to the singing, So they are going to have him with a choir and an orchestra. And he said, he takes this very seriously and it's one of the greatest honors. So what they do with the national anthem, it'll start from the time he sings the first note to the last note, which is brave. Now, my daughter's done in eleven years. The first nine years she won. Almost everyone was easy five seconds or more winners the years ago. Reba McIntyre, what did she do? She repeated the last line, my daughter had the under it went over because of that. What happened most sports books paid both sides because they felt, hey, you know, we're gonna do it as a good will gesture, so we count that one as a tie. Last year's Super Bowl went under, and she wanted to buy a half a second, one half second. She feels this is going to go way over. It's it off, okay, minute and fifty nine and a half seconds, she feels because he takes it so seriously. And remember from the first note, if he stops at any time and has the choir singing or the orchestra, that the clock keeps sticking. Ye, the last, yes, last time, brave so she feels over over one minute and fifty nine and a half seconds. She says, get it now, get it early because it's probably gonna go up.
00:21:54
Speaker 2: So what is that? What do you have those odds out right now? In terms of that player prop.
00:22:00
Speaker 6: It?
00:22:00
Speaker 4: It's over one minute and fifty nine seconds, just shive two minutes minus one fifteen so a lot.
00:22:08
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
00:22:09
Speaker 3: And by the way, how many winning Super Bowls in a row has Brooke accurately predicted besides the one that she just missed out on.
00:22:17
Speaker 4: Well, what we call it a tie because obviously she Reba McIntyre repeated the last line twice. She's won all ten of the other one, so oh wow. So she feels strongly about it, and she puts her reputation on the line.
00:22:32
Speaker 2: I love it.
00:22:33
Speaker 4: She studies singers. She knows sing obviously, you know she's a she's an actress and also a singer, and is saying the national anthem for places like the Orange Bowl in Chicago Bears games.
00:22:43
Speaker 2: That's great. Yeah, and look out for her.
00:22:46
Speaker 3: She's got a very bright future and acting career for the great Brooks Sterling. She she will you trust me pretty soon everyone everyone will know pretty soon once she starts getting some big roles. Speaker 3: Let's let's we can go over a little bit more player pops. We'll coming up like we always do for our final segment, the locks. We'll get to our locks or singular lock coming up in the final segment. Vote what else stands out to you going into the Big one on Sunday?
00:25:05
Speaker 4: Okay, So, like I said, one over five hundred and eighty six player props. I mean the number is astronomical. This year I think was five sixty four was the number last year. I also like Kenneth Walker over eighteen and a half rush attempts. He's the only guy. I just don't think they trust anyone else, So I got him at twenty two point four rush attempts, So eighteen and a half.
00:25:29
Speaker 5: I think that's.
00:25:30
Speaker 4: Certainly doable whether they're winning or even trailing. And if they're winning, remember this, he can get the ball like four or five six times in a row at the end of the game. I also liked we talked about this earlier, Cooper Cup over two and a half receptions. Here's a guy that's been there and done it before at the highest level, veteran leadership. He knows how to read zone defenses. Here the weather looks pretty good. Earlier in the week it didn't look great. Looks like it's clearing up each and every day.
00:26:01
Speaker 5: So I like him.
00:26:04
Speaker 4: And I also like Aj Barner over two and a half receptions, a guy that's really come on and look good. And then on the other side, something I really like too. I like his Mac Collins over fifteen and a half yards on his longest reception. Here's a guy doesn't run any underneath patters everything is down the field. He's got great height, long arms. Seems like he makes a big catch down the field almost every single game, so you know, he probably is only going to catch you two balls in the game, but it seems like almost every ball is twenty or more yards. I like him a lot over fifteen and a half yards on his longest reception. And probably probably the last thing is I like Ramande Stevenson under three and a half receptions a lot. I think here's a guy that Mike Fumble has n't fumbled in a long long time, and if he gets pulled out of the game, it's going to hurt his rushing yards and also his receptions. And I just think that they're gonna have to keep him into block a lot more than most people will realize.
00:27:07
Speaker 5: So I like him under three and a half receptions in the game also.
00:27:11
Speaker 3: All right, One of the things I find very Andrew speaking with Lee Sterlings is picking the locks brought to you by fan Duel Sportsbooks to Quamash Clearwater Casino Resorts live on Sports Radio ninety three to three KJRFM from the Super Bowl Radio Row in San Francisco. I can't reiterate enough and That's why I in our first segment when I talked to Ian Ritchie about it, Kenneth Walker, and it's actually up to minus one thirty now depending where you get your action. Kenneth Walker over two and a half receptions. I think that's an easy play because I think especially in the beginning of game of feeling out process, and the Patriots do have a really good defense, especially in the secondary, Christian Gonzalez, Oregon Duck. He's gonna be given the unenviable assignment of matching up with the best receiver in the NFL this year, Jackson Smith and Jigba and I just think that's gonna be the safety valve for Sam Darnold. Lee He's gonna be and Kenny Walker is one of the best receiving running backs in the league, a guy like Jonathan Taylor, a guy who can beat you in other ways. And I believe here's another reason why I like it Lee. I think that Patriot run game is gonna stifle him at first, but I think ultimately Kenny Walker catching the ball out of the backfield, I believe that's a type of player properly that you can bet and rest assure it'll be covered by halftime. So Lee, you know, on our final picking the Locks Super Bowl Edition, I've got to do my signature tagline right. So Kenneth Walker over two and a half receptions, minus won twenty five one thirty. Bet it now, wait for it, Wait for it, wait for it. Thank me later. You're welcome. You're welcome, Seattle.
00:29:14
Speaker 2: This is what I'm here. I'm here to win money for you. This is what I do. That's what I do. So I love that. That's another thing I also like as well. But the value is not good.
00:29:26
Speaker 3: Aj Barner over two and a half receptions, but you're talking about minus one fifty five.
00:29:31
Speaker 2: That to me is you're not getting value there. And like Ian said, man and you.
00:29:36
Speaker 3: Said, Lee, like your buddy who plays like forty nine player prop bets and you know, and it's just like you. Unless you're getting plus value in the more bets you place, the more likelihood you will lose.
00:29:51
Speaker 2: Lee, Am I wrong on that?
00:29:53
Speaker 5: Oh? You're right?
00:29:53
Speaker 4: And also betting. I'll never forget this. My dad, who worked with me for ten years, former coach, and my dad was a very astute gambler. He said, listen, when you're losing, don't play like three or five or seven games. It's a lot easier to win one bet. Just take one bet. So, uh, you got to stop the bleeding.
00:30:14
Speaker 5: You know, we've all talked about that.
00:30:16
Speaker 4: So uh, you know, if you're not running the ball, well uh, you know, uh, then you got to you know, like I said, you're in trouble. But if you're, if you're, if you got both things working, you know, you want to stick with what you do best here And like I said, don't get fancy.
00:30:31
Speaker 5: What have we seen in these playoffs?
00:30:32
Speaker 4: And we'll talk about this when we break down the games. How many teams, even in college football, in the playoffs and our Hurricanes did this in one game almost cost them. You know, you're you're, you're, you're running right down the field on teams and then all of a sudden you try, you know, a flea flicker.
00:30:48
Speaker 2: Or a lot of no trick play, no trick play. No, no, don't you unless you.
00:30:54
Speaker 4: Have really scouted your opponent out. I think you've got a huge advantage. You know, stick with what you do.
00:31:00
Speaker 2: I agree, all right, agree.
00:31:01
Speaker 3: Check out Paramount sports dot com you want his VIP picks and basketball season. UFC Lee is white hot on USC one eight hundred four hundred ninety seven to one Paramount Sports dot Com. 00:32:21
Speaker 2: Eight hundred, four hundred and ninety seven four one.
00:32:23
Speaker 3: My name is Mark James from MJ in the midday on Seattle Sports Leader ninety three to three KJRFM. You can check out my show every day ten am to one pm. Boy was in an unbelievable week in San Francisco, like crazy, and you know, everybody, obviously here's one of the things before we get into the gamely and you being a sharp and I fancy myself as one as well, and you know as well as I do, because if anybody can validate my success this year on Bett's Placed, it's you. And you know for a fact that I am on the right side of things when it comes to, you know, having a plus profit winning season. Why why does everybody go so crazy over this game? Is it because it's the Super Bowl? It's the biggest game? Because you know, and I know there are games in Week one and two that are better, but everybody is it? Why is there so many different player prop bets? And how long will the national anthem go? And what outfit will bad Bunny be wearing? Why is there all this stuff where where to?
00:33:32
Speaker 1: You know?
00:33:32
Speaker 3: Is it just because it's the last football game for the next seven to eight months.
00:33:35
Speaker 4: That means anything, absolutely, And and some people, you know, never place a bet other than the Super Bowl, right, you know, they're in the sports book. They're doing squares. A lot of people do squares and and that's a fun way, you know, to root and have some rooting interest in the entire game, even if it's been a blowout. But the problem is, you know, they they want to give you as many opportunities to lose.
00:34:00
Speaker 5: So that's why you know they're gonna put out.
00:34:03
Speaker 4: Like I said, there's over five hundred and eighty player props that are available, like gatorade.
00:34:08
Speaker 5: How are you going to know?
00:34:09
Speaker 4: You know what color the gator ade is? Coin toss. There's people have a friend literally bets the coin toss. That's his favorite wager. I'm like, why it's minus one oh five each way.
00:34:19
Speaker 6: You know.
00:34:21
Speaker 5: It's strict, but there's no studying.
00:34:23
Speaker 4: There no study, you know, the literally you.
00:34:25
Speaker 5: Know flip, yeah, yes, yeah, he does it.
00:34:29
Speaker 4: He goes, yeah, he goes, I do fifteen or twenty and he goes. One of them is always the coin flip. I mean that to me, I think I bet at once just for you know, you know, you know in giggles.
00:34:39
Speaker 5: So yeah, I just I just think that that's absolutely absurd.
00:34:43
Speaker 4: So yeah, everyone's also what parties, you know, your parties, and you want to have some action on the game, you know, Uh, if you don't like to wager, you know, make it, make like a bet with you know, your friend, lunch bet, dinner bet. You know, that's that's you know, that's in you know that there's nothing wrong with that, and that is fun. But people are eating, you know, they're happy, they're watching the commercials. Yeah, so there's some incredible commercials and the money they put in there, so you know, it can get over early. The problem with wagering on the Super Bowl is sometimes a team gets up. Now there have been instances where the Patriots came back from twenty eight to three, but usually, and if you talk to players, once a team gets up by double digits, very very tough in the team that's trailing to come back, they tighten up like a drum and you know that other team is just feeding off that energy. So you got to take all those things into account when you're betting the Super Bowl.
00:35:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, and let me just say this, I did a blog about this fifteen years ago when I was working for a station in Charlotte, and now I want everybody in Seattle though, I am this is going to be a great day, but normally, let's just hypothetically say the Seahawks were not in the Super Bowl. I literally think and and I believe this, and I know mad Dog Chris Russo backs me up on that. You know who you see on first take, longtime wfan, but with serious XM Radio since they launched the channel named after him in two thousand and nine. I literally believe that Super Bowl Sunday is the worst sports day of the year. Now why do I say that, Because it's not about real sports fans. It's an American unofficial American holiday. There is you know, it's about you know, a social event, people getting together, like you mentioned, you know, spending time friends and family. That's great, but it becomes less about the game, more about the pomp and circumstance, the red carpets, the things that the late great Sean Taylor and Jerome Brown and Reggie White.
00:36:58
Speaker 1: You know.
00:36:59
Speaker 3: I like it to be about football, to be about exactly why we love this so much. But I love the fact that the Hawks are in it. That's the great that's the best part. But normally, Lee, I don't because it's not for mostly for real sports fans. I mean, if if I had somebody where did where did Mac Collins go to school? Most people wouldn't know. Most people Dave Softie Maler would know. He's right next to me right now. Uh, actually, we're gonna get you know what, we have an impromptu let's get this guy on right now, the freaking Dave's Softy Maler.
00:37:32
Speaker 8: Uh, let's let's get I don't know what number that is. See the number that's next to that.
00:37:37
Speaker 2: I'm Polish. That's the number that I'm Polish. There we go is here? He's a right way? Did I didn't tell you? You didn't tell me this guy was this dumb? Honestly? I mean I thought, I thought. I thought, when you.
00:37:49
Speaker 8: Suggested this guy years ago, you gotta hire my guy, Mark James, my buddy, my boy.
00:37:54
Speaker 2: I thought he was a genius. Man.
00:37:55
Speaker 8: It turns out as a freaking idiot, which means he fits right in with us here on the radio station.
00:38:00
Speaker 2: How are you? What's going on?
00:38:02
Speaker 5: I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. You know there's there's I know where you're at right now.
00:38:08
Speaker 4: You know I've been there before with my Hurricanes.
00:38:11
Speaker 5: You know you're yeahs yes, yeah, yeah.
00:38:15
Speaker 2: I got news for you. This is nothing like your Hurricanes. All right.
00:38:19
Speaker 8: The super Bowl does not compared to the National Championship whatsoever. There's about fifty more million people here at this radio row than there ever will be covering a national title game.
00:38:30
Speaker 2: Stop it stop by, by the way. I hey, hey, you know Lee?
00:38:36
Speaker 4: Come on?
00:38:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no titles, It was hey, Lee.
00:38:42
Speaker 3: I gotta say this though about Softy, I saw a different side of him this week. Like this guy woke up every morning and dropped me off at the bar to like he did.
00:38:51
Speaker 2: He even have to do it. He could have said, hey, go take an uber pole yeah, and he didn't. And he did. He did all week long. He was a mens a, total mens.
00:38:58
Speaker 8: Rich Moore, our boss actually reimbursed me for those visits. The reason why I did it, only reason why I did it. We got the splash girls here coming to buy to say hello to Mark James.
00:39:10
Speaker 2: Uff I love Mark James, right right right?
00:39:15
Speaker 4: Soft softast kid drops you off is picking up bogels or donuts and then bringing them back to that.
00:39:20
Speaker 2: No, I haven't eaten, squad.
00:39:22
Speaker 8: You know what I did, Lee, I went to a fancy, spancy restaurant the other morning for breakfast called I Hop. It was right across the street, right across the street from our hotel, but to our airbnb. But you know why I didn't realize something about your boy here, Lee, that I just found out in the last couple of days.
00:39:40
Speaker 2: I had no idea what a germophobe he is. Did you know that?
00:39:43
Speaker 1: Oh?
00:39:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, washing walks around, not only washing his hands, walks around usually with paper uh right right here?
00:39:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I Softie saw that we had a we had a station meeting. And when I when I went to open the door in the conference room, I had to get a napkin out first.
00:40:04
Speaker 2: He goes, boy, are you germophobe?
00:40:06
Speaker 3: And you noticed it earlier, but you really saw this week because I had paper towels. I don't remember who's on the headphones before me and I. After I took them off, I washed my ears. I did, all right, softy.
00:40:19
Speaker 2: So this is the picking the locks final segment?
00:40:23
Speaker 8: All right, the locks? Do you want to go ahead and give us a score? We know it's gonna be Yeah, I like twenty three twenty Hawks. I like the under mooreimulation. No, I'm just kidding what Madden said, Madden simulation twenty three twenty. I didn't even know that.
00:40:38
Speaker 2: Yes, well, then there you go.
00:40:39
Speaker 8: I guess I'm a genius, all right, I guess I'm a freaking genius, just like the Madden simulation.
00:40:43
Speaker 2: But I like twenty three twenty. I like the under.
00:40:47
Speaker 8: I've already jumped on the under twenty and a half total team for the Patriots, by the way, I'm on that.
00:40:54
Speaker 2: I like that a lot.
00:40:55
Speaker 8: So yeah, I mean between now and Sunday, there's obviously a couple more bets that I'm gonna make and a couple more props I'm gonna jump on, But I like both those right now.
00:41:02
Speaker 3: My strongest bet Kenneth Walker over two and a half receptions.
00:41:06
Speaker 2: There you go, huge, huge on that, huge on that huge. Yeah.
00:41:11
Speaker 4: Well, here's a stat that that you know, maybe Softy's trying to double dip. He's trying to win the game. Teams that were laying four more points at this bero and.
00:41:21
Speaker 2: Seven times wow against.
00:41:26
Speaker 5: Against the spread.
00:41:28
Speaker 4: He can still win the game laying four and a half five points and also cover so Softy might be trying to double dip here.
00:41:35
Speaker 3: All right, hey, Lee, when we had the picking the Locks tag team challenge and Softy's tag team partner, uh basically saved his ass Dick Fane, who went undefeated five and oh, Dick Fane is also here with us right now, Dick?
00:41:50
Speaker 2: Are you man? Hey, Dick, are you've at all week to think about it? Score? Why MVP? What we got? Yeah? I'm right there with with Softy.
00:42:00
Speaker 9: But I think that we get a late touchdown to make it a two score game, double digit game. I'm gonna go twenty seven to seventeen. Okay, that still hits the under. Yeah, okay, still hits the under. Okay, it's a close game, but we pull away at the end.
00:42:15
Speaker 2: I know so, But Lee, you go ahead. I'm gonna give mine and I'll let you finish out.
00:42:19
Speaker 1: Lee.
00:42:20
Speaker 3: I just think this is gonna be a dominating effort, and I think that the Seattle Seahawks ultimately, Yeah, the Patriots could swing punches and maybe trade blows for the first quarter and a half, and I think once they go in a halftime, the guy who makes the best halftime adjustments in the NFL is Mike McDonald's asks Sean McVeigh, ask Kyle Shanahan, ask any Demiko Ryans when they played him earlier this year.
00:42:41
Speaker 2: I think the Seattle Seahawks.
00:42:43
Speaker 3: Maybe I'm the only one scene this way, Seattle twenty seven, the Patriots ten.
00:42:47
Speaker 2: All right, Sam Donald, MVP Lee, what do you got?
00:42:51
Speaker 4: All right? So I've got Seattle twenty seven to sixteen. I think they're gonna hold the Patriots to a touchdown in three field goals and then defense wins championships. I think that there is something wrong with with May's shoulder and they've been hiding it. And I just think that his receivers these are guys that I think they're pretty easy to cover if you watch film on him. These are guys that are straight line guys pretty much, and I think it's going to be tough for him in long down and distant situations. If I was them, I would go with Henderson more. I do think that Ramande Stevenson will fumble in this game. He's gone so many games now without a fumble early in the year and last year fumble itis, so I think he fumbles once. And I also like Drake made to throw an interception will go over the half interception there, So if you have one interception and one fumble from Stevenson, that's going to equal when I love I love Trevon Henderson. I think he is the home run hitter, and I don't think they're going to play him enough, and I think it's going to cost him a Super Bowl, all right.
00:43:55
Speaker 3: Our boss Rich Moore told me about the Seahawks parade into one thirteen, that Softy got to touch the trophy and he was going crazy, and he told me how it was cold as hell, I believe.
00:44:07
Speaker 8: But are we ready Pioneer squared Soto on Wednesday? I hope so, man, I hope it's not as cold as it was last time. But I don't care if it's a freaking tornado. As long as there's a parade and the Hawks win, I'll take whatever weather they want to throw at it.
00:44:19
Speaker 2: Do you feel that this is a vengeance from Super Bowl forty.
00:44:22
Speaker 8: A little bit for me, Not for the players, but a little bit for me. You know, I've told the story. I was here with my dad, my mom and dad and my wife eleven years ago. Never got to see a title with my father you know, Dick was watching forty eight with his dad back at home. I was there at forty nine with my pops. I was there at forty eight, but I was not with my dad. I was with some friends that day, so I never got a chance to sit with my dad and watch my team win a championship, right, and I got that got taken from me eleven years ago in Glendale.
00:44:52
Speaker 2: So I'm hoping they can win it for him on Sunday.
00:44:54
Speaker 8: I'm hoping they can bring it home and then we can start the following Monday talking about repeating.
00:45:00
Speaker 2: Right, that is what we were rocked up eleven years ago, that back to back.
00:45:03
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I I think that what starts after Sunday night is the start of I'm gonna call it the m MD.
00:45:10
Speaker 2: You went from the L no, do you know what this?
00:45:11
Speaker 3: The m MD stands for, from L O B to MMD Mike McDonald dynasty. That's what starts after something of that by yourself.
00:45:18
Speaker 2: Yes, I did. Yeah.
00:45:19
Speaker 3: By the way, by the way, I'm only half I'm only half Polish.
00:45:23
Speaker 2: I'm only half Polish, not all Polish. So there's that Lee. Uh, picking locks have been fun. We can't wait to do more and.
00:45:30
Speaker 3: Hopefully get on some more affiliates and syndicate's going into next year. We'll work on that as I did this week on Radio Row and Softy and Dick oh Scoma was unbelievable the other night.
00:45:40
Speaker 2: Oh wow, and we.
00:45:42
Speaker 3: Had a fun time all week long. Jessman McIntyre. Boy, she was just tireless. She she basically wasn't for her, we would have been so ol.
00:45:51
Speaker 2: Oh wow.
00:45:54
Speaker 4: Well yes, yes, so you know, Softy is the kind of guy he could have slept with Christy Brinkley and he would have said, he's.
00:46:05
Speaker 2: Just all right exactly. Yeah, she's just starting that one woman for me. You know who that is? Yeah, one woman for me, We know who that is? All right.
00:46:12
Speaker 3: We appreciate everybody who joined this week thanks to Ian Richie from full Time Fantasy dot com and the Circa Sports, Softy, Dick Lee, Chuck Buck, Jess, everybody that was out here. It was a fun week. We wish the mayor was out here too. But Seahawks will be Super Bowl sixty champions. There will be a parade in Soto Pioneer Square on Wednesday.

So now that being said, lead, let's go ahead and talk about Paramount sports dot com. 00:24:45
Speaker 2: All right, what stands out to you too? Lee?
00:24:48

00:46:35
