Fire, Ice, and Everything Nice (The Music of Iceland)

Dive into the cold and raw sounds of Icelandic music. On this first episode of Orchestrated, Mike Patti and Chris Hayzel talk with composer and Iceland native Veigar Margeirsson to learn more about what makes the music of Iceland so unique. Veigar sheds light on the history of folk music in the land of Ice and Fire and explains how he believes the National attitude of "þetta reddast" has driven musical innovation in the country. Oh, and we get an update on the volcano situation.
