ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Moore's Law originated in Gordon Moore's 1965 paper for Electronics magazine, in which he observed that the number of components on an integrated circuit had been roughly doubling at regular intervals while the cost per component fell. Though frequently summarized as "transistor density doubles every two years," the original formulation was closer to every year, later revised to every two years.
