ABOUT THIS EPISODE
My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Tanya Joy Morgan, founder of Panoptic Foundations. We will be chatting today about anti-marketing for authors. Tanya Joy Morgan is a digital strategist, educator, and the founder of Panoptic Foundations, where she helps fiction authors build a clear, confident, and sustainable author platform. She blends more than 30 years of experience across business strategy, marketing, writing, and multi-disciplinary teaching with over a decade spent guiding beginners through technology, including six years with WordPress.
Tanya’s approach is rooted in what she calls anti-marketing for fiction authors, a mindset and strategy shift that replaces pressure and hustle culture with clarity, storytelling, and sustainable visibility. Instead of chasing algorithms or overwhelming trends, she teaches authors how to create an online presence that reflects their voice, supports their goals, and actually attracts the right readers.
Her teaching style is friendly, down-to-earth, and deeply practical. She’s known for turning complex concepts into simple steps, empowering authors who never thought they could manage websites, email lists, or marketing strategy on their own. Tanya is also a fantasy writer in the trenches with her students, which means she teaches from empathy, not ego.
Through her membership, The Anti-Marketing Implementation Circle, and through workshops, collaborations, and guest appearances, Tanya gives authors the tools, confidence, and direction they need to grow their readership without burning out.
