Earlier this year, I traveled to Amsterdam’s famous red light district, De Wallen, to uncover the truth about legal prostitution. Instead of finding a system that protects women, I discovered a dark reality where pimps control the industry, and human trafficking runs rampant. In this video, I talk to real sex workers like Jesslin and Chiela Rosa, who share their firsthand experiences. I also speak with experts like journalist Renate Van Der Zee, who has spent over a decade investigating the sex trade; Frits Rouvoet from Bright Fame, an organization helping women escape prostitution; and Elise Lente from El Roi, a group offering support and care for women in the industry. If you want to know the dark side of Amsterdam’s Red Light District and the impact of legal prostitution, this is the video for you.
