ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Episode 45 is here, and this week we're recording from two provinces! Ciara is back home in Moose Jaw while Lisa checks in from her backyard oasis, complete with a sort of thriving garden, free-range chickens, and plenty of summer updates. In Elks Files, we relive an incredible weekend as the Edmonton Elks dominated on the field.
We recap the electric tailgate, the amazing fans we met, and tease some exciting behind-the-scenes content. Plus, don't miss another ticket giveaway for this weekend's Friday Night Lights Country theme game!
Then it's time for the Crystal Glass Crystal Ball, where our friendly competition continues as we predict who will capture the CPKC Women's Open title in Edmonton. Will World No. 1 Nelly Korda take it? Can defending champion Brooke Henderson repeat? Or will Lydia Ko or Hannah Green steal the spotlight? More importantly... can Lisa extend her winning streak, or will Ciara finally close the gap?
We also recap a weekend of highs and lows around Edmonton—from beautiful patio weather at Black Pearl and the Fairmont, to the marathon chaos that left thousands of runners frustrated amid construction and road closures.
Finally, we dive into one of our favourite conversations yet: Is technology making us forget the basics? We debate whether today's generation can still read cursive, spell without autocorrect, drive a standard vehicle or read a paper map. Plus, with summer winding down, we share what's still left on our August bucket lists before the season comes to an end. ______________________________________________________________________ Sponsored by:
