ABOUT THIS EPISODE
The state of Texas leads the nation in food insecurity, with more than 6 million residents facing hunger. More than 20 percent of those people live in North Texas. This week, we're taking a closer look at how food insecurity and the ongoing affordability crisis are impacting some of our most vulnerable populations. Today, we're looking at how Meals on Wheels continues to serve homebound North Texans, despite the rising cost of fuel and groceries.
