ABOUT THIS EPISODE
SEASON 1 EPISODE 2: “Decolonizing Faith: Christianity’s Hold on the Black Community Pt. 1”
This week, the hosts unpack a conversation that’s been a long time coming: the role Christianity plays in the mental, political, and spiritual lives of Black folks in America.
In Part 1, we explore how a religion rooted in violence and colonization became a cornerstone of Black identity, and how today’s church culture often discourages revolutionary thinking and collective power in favor of individual salvation and respectability.
This ain’t about shaming your personal faith: it’s about questioning the systems that shaped it.
If we’re gonna talk liberation, we have to talk about what’s in the way.
🎧 Tap in and sit with the discomfort. This one’s for the ancestors and the future.
