Speaker 1: Well, netball fans of New South Wales, we clearly only have ourselves to blame, but the easter Bunny decided not to come this weekend to any of us. It's been a hard weekend in netball in New South Wales, but plenty of joy around the rest of the country and plenty of netball excitement to enjoy together. You're a No Dribble strap in Hello, and welcome to No Dribble, the podcast where we talk about netball, we talk about so much more. My name's carolyn'swhen Dell un joined today in studio by the very lovely Oh.
00:00:50
Speaker 2: Was that me? That's you Capcox, Hi go.
00:00:53
Speaker 1: Hi and way up north, but not able to hear us that well.
00:00:59
Speaker 2: At all.
00:01:00
Speaker 3: Yes, who has a son who decided that he would borrow my headphones that I use to do this podcast, and they plug into a microphone that I use, and the microphone can't be used properly without the headphones. So now he's off crying and sniveling looking for the headphones, and I can hear him rummaging about the house in a very ten year old manner because he's turned ten this week and I don't have a microphone or headphone. So I'm sitting unnaturally close to this laptop so that you two.
00:01:32
Speaker 4: Can hear me and I can hear you.
00:01:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. I can see the size of your pause. Yes, that's really good. But given Austin's just had a birthday and he got a little mini motorbike, what do you call those things?
00:01:45
Speaker 4: A dirt bike? You go, little dirt bike?
00:01:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, it could those ephones could be anywhere.
00:01:51
Speaker 1: They could have bounced off anywhere around although you know, so what's he using them with his phone?
00:01:57
Speaker 2: Or what's a No.
00:01:58
Speaker 4: He doesn't have a phone, I am it's a bludd eye.
00:02:00
Speaker 3: I think he uses them with He's got like a little Nintendo switch and he uses it with that.
00:02:04
Speaker 4: I think.
00:02:05
Speaker 1: So he's unlikely to have taken his switch out on his motorbike, is he?
00:02:09
Speaker 4: No? Unlikely? And yeah, it's happened a few times.
00:02:12
Speaker 3: And I tend to just go into his room and find the headphones because on a Monday normally when we are recording, he's at school. Today, I've just ripped him a new one and because he's at home, because it's Easter Monday and he is now, you know, when kids have that, they cry, talk to themselves, you know, and they really feel sorry for themselves and.
00:02:31
Speaker 4: They just.
00:02:33
Speaker 2: That's where he's out.
00:02:34
Speaker 3: He's mumble and just that I can hear him in the background. He's trying to tell me that he thinks that nanny put them somewhere, which is my mum who is eighty.
00:02:42
Speaker 1: Four, and she'll cover him for him totally, won't she like, But I'm like, Mom, Yeah.
00:02:47
Speaker 3: You're not listening to anything on headphones, son, Yes, that's where up to So. Yes, he's had a birthday, he's had lots of Easter eggs, he's had all the excitement, and now it's all come crashing down around on Monday because I'm asking him to be accountable.
00:03:02
Speaker 1: The exciting thing for us, though, is at any minute during this podcast, he could burst through the door of of your office there with the headphone, so you know, we don't know what's going to happen.
00:03:12
Speaker 2: Dribbler's remember they clicked during COVID and it was it was something guy that had.
00:03:16
Speaker 1: Some high pave on the BBC and the little kids come in and then his wife tries to sneak in on her hands and feet to try to get because of the three year old bounces in. She's the cutest little kid with these glasses. And then the baby comes in in the little walker thing on her, and then the wife tries to sneak in on her hands and feet and say, oh no, I'll make this.
00:03:36
Speaker 4: Really I loved it. Yeah, it was great.
00:03:39
Speaker 2: You know.
00:03:39
Speaker 4: I saw something recently about where are they now?
00:03:41
Speaker 3: And now that little girl is like an eleven year old, like, oh, that's a shame.
00:03:45
Speaker 4: The kids have to grow up after they do something.
00:03:47
Speaker 1: I know. I had a conversation with my mum this morning where she's in New Zelma trying to work out exactly what years something was. My cousin's coming over from the UK. I'm seeing them next week and I think we saw them eighteen months ago. She thinks it was too and half years ago. And you know, you do that whole Was it before COVID after COVID month? So when was COVID like two three years ago?
00:04:05
Speaker 4: Yeah?
00:04:06
Speaker 1: Five six and five years ago?
00:04:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy, isn't it.
00:04:09
Speaker 1: It's just anyway, are.
00:04:12
Speaker 2: We going to talk about what you're wearing?
00:04:13
Speaker 1: Oh? Yes, we are going to talk. I did go and get changed immediately before we came on. I had my valid T shirt on the black and gold one, and then I thought, I'm going to wear my Giants T shirt today because Giants fans are doing it very tough. The whole Giants organization is doing it tough at the moment. Those players it's not working out the way they want, so don't get mad at them. They've got a different plan. Things are just not going exactly to plan at the moment. I heard narrator interviewed maybe by you on the weekend, and she was saying, I don't know quite why we're not able to produce what we're doing in training in a game situation. We have to try to work that out. But yeah, Giants fans stay stay with it because you know, look, the Firebirds have just one their first game in nearly a year. Those fans are happy. All teams go through ebbs and flows. I don't know. I think this is an ebb, isn't It's an ebb when it goes out, and it's a flow when it comes in. I should know, my Elizabeth, I'm looking to you.
00:05:16
Speaker 2: I think their season actually got summed up in their warm up, so there was a bit of collateral damage by two of the Giants doing the warm up and Jane Watson was taken out. She was meant to be starting at goalkeeper. They had to take her off and do a sub at the late and the last second. So I was like, oh god, who did you collide with with Casey Adamson. It doesn't that just sum up the year when you can't even get onto the court from the warm up?
00:05:42
Speaker 1: Oh my god, it does. But you know, this is the giants tenth year. They've had four years of finals, maybe even Grand finals in that like, this is not you know, this is a This is a down time and it does not mean that there won't be joy this season. If there won't be a Premier this season, that's pretty certain. But you know, there's always green shoots, there's always things to be happy about, there's always things to be proud of it and fans, you have a job to do this and I like to see I like to see the fans showing up doing their job. I did not go to the game on Saturday because and I do have a little bit of a beef about this playing the two Sydney teams at Easter. Everyone leaves Sydney at Easter, which was why it's so beautiful to be here. I was at the beach this morning, got a park. It was fantastic. But it's like two games on two days when the Easter Show is on, they run rugby Leed's impossible to get a park out there. Maybe make this, Maybe make the Swifts and the Giants play each other at Easter. So every fan who was in New South Wales at Easter and wants to go to netball, we'll go, and then we have two full stadiums rather than what was a little bit sad.
00:06:51
Speaker 2: I agree with you, excuse me, or be a little bit lenient around the proofery of that as well. So I took seven people to the game yesterday, dropped them at the show so they had to be there at nine thirty, so they weren't They're nice and early for the show, and then I went and parked the family track star in my car pike that I had, So it all worked out well. But then they obviously have a full morning having fun. They go and get showbags, They get to the venue, they get told they can't bring their showbags in.
00:07:17
Speaker 1: I can't bring the showbags in.
00:07:20
Speaker 2: What was supposed to do at this point with seven of them hundreds of dollars of showbags, and the guys had just popped them on the ground there, and you can leave them outside the venue, so they kind of just went look over there and they ran inside anyway. But it was like that sort of stuff.
00:07:36
Speaker 1: That's interesting. I hadn't sort of thought about that, obviously. I smuggled, No, I didn't. Someone, do you remember two years ago you were working on Mother's Day and I'll take her a little half bottle of French champagne. And then I realized I can't take booze into the venue, even though no one was going to drink it there. So I had to wrap it. And I had this very elaborate story as to what it was, and it was it was wrapped in a completely unidentifiable fashion, and I had a story as to what it was. And I'm not very good at bullshitting people in official capacities. I'm not, and so I was very nervous. But I really wanted to get you this bottle of fiddle, a bottle of champai.
00:08:20
Speaker 4: Anyway, I'm back, I can hear you.
00:08:22
Speaker 2: Oh goody.
00:08:23
Speaker 3: I've just been handed a set of headphones that are completely not working. Different to the ones I thought I were the ones that I own, so I don't know where is Dredge these up from. But any who, the search is ongoing, and I think the sniveling stop that the search is ongoing.
00:08:39
Speaker 4: So there you go.
00:08:41
Speaker 1: We believe in you, Austin. I don't so what is it where you've got a tin can and a piece of stringth something.
00:08:46
Speaker 3: Tieing away under the desk here to keep the electricity on it.
00:08:50
Speaker 4: It's all happening if you're on a north post. That's morning good.
00:08:54
Speaker 1: Anyway, what you missed was me telling Netball Australia how to do the scheduling of the sun Curt Super Netbye next next year, so you'd probably be happy to miss that.
00:09:01
Speaker 4: Way, please thank you very much, but yeares yes. Anyway, how did the Easter Buddy come to you guys?
00:09:08
Speaker 2: He did, but he well, see, the Easter Bunny had to reschedule his visit, so he came Saturday morning instead of Sunday morning because Sunday morning was an early start to get to netball. So he was very good to us and a bit flexible. But I did also get reminded on Friday night by my little mate that he hadn't done anything.
00:09:30
Speaker 1: Yet that the Easter Bunny hadn't done it.
00:09:34
Speaker 2: I was about to go to sleep, and I get a tapped up. I thought the Easter Bunny was coming tomorrow morning. Yeah, oh, I haven't seen him anything yet, And I'm like, oh, I had to get out of bed. He normally leaves a trail on eggs from the door and then to somewhere else in the house and then there's a pile of stuff. Oh wow. But it's a bit tricky when a kid doesn't like chocolate that much, that is tough.
00:10:01
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:10:01
Speaker 2: The good thing though, is most people now have those the plastic eggs that like are in two pieces, all rabbits or chickens or something, and you can put other lollies inside them and then put them out.
00:10:12
Speaker 1: But my son sent me a clip of like what to buy your child for what to ask the Easter bunny to bring your child who was a little bit older, And it was like cans of monster energy drink. Anything to do with that.
00:10:27
Speaker 2: Did he come to your house?
00:10:28
Speaker 4: Did you do it?
00:10:29
Speaker 2: God, you guys will be able to do the best Easter hunt on your land.
00:10:32
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:10:32
Speaker 3: But it was pouring rain on Sunday, so there was no easter to hunt. Anyway, the Easter bunny did come and provisioned the children fairly well. And then I got the question on Sunday morning, Mama, we're going to do an Easter hunt, and I said, A, it's raining, and B I've just spent the weekend organizing a two day birthdays for Avigaza for you. There is no eastering hunt today, so you know, I said, get on your dirt bike and ride around. So that seemed to keep one of them happy to go and.
00:10:59
Speaker 1: Enjoy your birthday present and think about how hard done by you are.
00:11:03
Speaker 2: Then this one sends me a video of him on his bike going around the property and said, by the time you guys get back up here, he'll be able to take Harper because he's like really good at it. I'm like, ah, are you are you joking? She's like, nah, he'd be far more responsible than letting everyone do it.
00:11:22
Speaker 3: So Austin was riding around on his bike and he's so cautious that he didn't actually get out of first gear on the first day. Super cautious. And everyone's like, I'd like a bike. I said, you are not getting a bike. She's got a ute.
00:11:36
Speaker 4: As she goes.
00:11:37
Speaker 3: Well, I know, and I said, because every time we've given you any contraption with wheels, you've had a spectacular crash. So her push bike, she came off at going down the driveway when she was five, at high speed and our driveway has a very steep heel, and she came off almost at the bottom of the hill and ripped skin off her from head to toe. She did the same on a scooter, was gooding atletics head down a big hill and she came off it to forgot the shared breaks, and then recently did a similar thing in her car and ran into a fence post. So I said to her, no, you are not riding a bona bike. She's like, oh, okay, that's fair enough. But yeah, Catherine, I think I think HAWF will definitely be up for a double yep.
00:12:22
Speaker 2: I mentioned it to her, you know, she said, well, no, why not? Oh, because she's a scaredy cat. She's scaredy cat more than me.
00:12:33
Speaker 1: No, incorrect. She will go on the rides at the show. Now that push you beyond your tro t.
00:12:43
Speaker 2: True.
00:12:45
Speaker 1: I have done a little bit of research. We have in previous weeks talked about hot cross buns and my children picking the cross off the top just made a flower and water. It's just a paste. It's not a nice thing. It's just it's a little bit of krusty type stuff. But one of my favorite things on the weekend is netball related, and that was I didn't go to the game on Saturday because it was raining and I couldn't be bother going out to Olympic Park twice, so I got to watch the broadcast, which is wonderful, love to see you in action. But one of my favorite bits was when Dylan next Zip had to go and do an interview with Gia, the Giants mascot, who of course does not speak, and the Easter Bunny, who does not speak, and he did a great job under very trying circumstances. But oh, Matt, what's stuff to It' say? This is what you hit the big time, Dylan. You're interviewing the Easter Bunny and Ga the Giant and to be fair, Easter Bunny global superstar, right, yeah, so big, yeah, big interviewing Taylor Swift but her just standing there going oh like I'll be bad, but not speaking at all and with pants on and with pants on.
00:13:57
Speaker 2: Funny though, because the first take they did, because we were inside watching all this unfold and I was crying and I was filming it all so good. But the first take they did, they had kids in the background doing the nutbush and then the macarina. I was like, yeah, nice, let's put this one to hear this is the best. So I'm disappointed that and didn't go to it. Yeah, but yes, the interview then with the with the Easter Buddy and the like. But then he did go and talk to fans as well, and still struggled to get stuff out of them.
00:14:25
Speaker 1: So there was one lady who did a good chat with him, and I'm sure she would be a dribbler like she just she just seemed like a dribbler. She knew how to have that. And then he went and spoke to some other younger girls. They must have been maybe fifteen or sixteen, and there's four of them, and as usually happens, there's one who will go, all right, I'll go. And then he wandered over to the hair tent where the little girls were getting their hair done, and just it was just cricket. It's like there were tumble weeds going past and then he's like, Okay, back to you, Cath and yeah, good save, well done, Dylan. I think the Kelpies a player today, but that won't be nearly as hard as what you've already done this weekend.
00:15:03
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
00:15:03
Speaker 3: In the good old days, when the project was on television, we often used to send whoever the comedian out and when I finished in a couple of years before it finished up, Sam Torton was the comedian, but before that there was Pete Hellier. So yeah, a good good comedians and we'd send them out to do or the show would send them out to do vox pops on certain things, and vox pops.
00:15:22
Speaker 4: Are always great because a bit, like Dylan discovered, you just never know what you're going to get.
00:15:27
Speaker 3: But Australians are always a little bit it's hard to get Australians going, like we trust the microphone into their face. So the comedians would always see if that could find Americans. It's like all Americans are camera ready, right, anytime you get American, they are ready. They've got the grab, they've got enthusiasm. And you see this, you know when you watch American sports and you see stuff going on in the stadium and the camera pans to them and they immediately get up and start dancing and putting on a show. Australians are exactly the opposite. So what Dylan needed was a couple of American netball fans. Yeah, the moment you put a bigrophone in front of their face, they are there to put on a show, where as Australians are a bit like ma, no thanks mate.
00:16:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, Well tell you who else is ready to put on a show in the stadium. And that's your daughter at the game yesterday. I'm looking at Catherine again. This is an audio medium, Carolyn, So remember that your daughter can at the Swift's game yesterday. Every second time I'm looking up at the big screen, there she is up, dancing with her friends, having a great time. So maybe Dylan next time going talk to harpunt.
00:16:32
Speaker 2: Oh god, yes, you'll give you a stackful. Even on the broadcast, We're about to go to halftime and I'm throwing to the break and it's the four of them as well. On that I'm like, oh my god, I see enough.
00:16:43
Speaker 4: Of her, believe me. Be that's just too fun.
00:16:47
Speaker 1: To tell you something I didn't like about yesterday's broadcast. I'm very happy for her. Paige Hadley back in commentary, which was terrific, although some dickhead on another not our Facebook group, but some netball related Facebook group saying it's a grace that she can commentate a game for her own team. It's like she's not the umpire, you idiot, Like she has no influence over the game. But Paige Hadley yesterday, one month, two months after having had a baby, looks better than any other day I have had on this earth. Oh, justin credif.
00:17:20
Speaker 2: Tully Tully, her little boy came to the green room beforehand. He is gorgeous, and so she's doing the breastfeeding everything else, and then pops down he's six weeks now six weeks, and then you're right, and then she just goes and rocks it. But for those punters that think they know everything, when players or specialist coaches or whatever work with us in the common tary, they don't have is open to what's happening in the team huddles. So they can't listen to that because teams complain about that fair enough if that's their thing, so we can hear that, but they can't hear that stuff Okay, yeah, it makes no difference.
00:18:01
Speaker 1: But even if they could, I know, well, she's not you know, she's not the umpire. She has no influence over what's happening in the game now.
00:18:09
Speaker 2: But nor can she run over and go Briannie, Brannie, I just heard this. She's in the middle of the game, she's working, so that doesn't happen. But also there's precautions taken so that they cannot hear anything more than they're supposed to.
00:18:21
Speaker 3: But that's your professional integrity, right, So if you get a role doing sidelines, you to do it to the best of your ability. You're not going to use that moment to leverage information that you pick up from one team into the other team, even if it's your team, right. So I mean all these players who come in and do commentary that have half an eye on what they're going to do when they retire, and commentating, as we know Catherine is a great job, right, it's an awesome gig. So as if you're going to use your one moment to go, oh, I'm going to get all this information and take it back to.
00:18:52
Speaker 4: My club that they're going to like, your club's going to be able to find it if you're done, you do it right.
00:18:59
Speaker 3: It's just, you know, you got to give people a bit of credit for having professional integrity about what they do.
00:19:06
Speaker 1: And props to Kate Maloney also commentating on the weekend that.
00:19:09
Speaker 2: Was and we had Joey Harvey.
00:19:12
Speaker 3: Yes, I turned to tell and I heard this voice. I'm like, I know that voice, but that voice is in the wrong spot. Where's that voice coming from?
00:19:20
Speaker 1: That's so funny. I did exactly the same thing. I was in the kitchen. I'm like, who is that? Who's that? Commented? Took me a moment to put it together. On the bus on the way out to Olympic Park, you say, because I couldn't get parking, so caught the special event bus and it was chockers and so I couldn't sit with the family. I sat sat next to a lady orso in red and the kids were sort of sitting separately, And at one stage I just lean over and said, Dottie, just go over there, because more people were getting on. It's like you go and squeeze in next to next to Lewis. And then this lady recognized my voice, the one who was sitting next to me, you know, Hello, Helen the drib blerd nice to me. So she hadn't pegged me when I was sitting next to her, but it wasn't until she heard my voice. So then she went, oh, Dottie, I know that name. So yeah, that was nice to the game.
00:20:06
Speaker 2: How grown love.
00:20:08
Speaker 1: But you know, maybe we should have a quick break and then come back and officially talk about round four. Okay, So netball happened on the weekend, and netball happened in good and bad ways depending on who your team is. But there was a lot of a lot of really interesting stuff. I've got to say, the second quarter of the Swift's Fever game is the most bored I have ever been watching a game of netball ever.
00:20:46
Speaker 2: It was actually a bit of a head scratcher, wasn't it, Because it was maybe one or two passes and then a long ball every time, and I'm thinking, why is no one stopping that long ball?
00:20:56
Speaker 1: And it was just sort of score. It was just it was like a sort of tennis match that that whole quarter there was, and then after it got exciting in a whole other way if you're a Swift that it was. It was just it was really interesting and to see the two holding shooters. You know, it really is. It's great when you've got a game where there are when there's a you know, at least one end has a moving circle, right.
00:21:21
Speaker 2: But how's the numbers from Romelda or Aken George? So before the game, I was watching her warm up, to which there's not much warm up if I'm completely honest. She had scaffolding four days, clearly heavily strapped, and then those massive, big black it didn't look like compression garments. It looked a lot thicker than that. Whatever they were on both legs doesn't warm up like the rest of the team does, all this all this other stuff on the side. And when she did run, looked like she was really struggling, And I thought, do you know what, this is brilliant because she, looking at her right now, won't beat my record for the most played because she's struggling. And then she gets on the court and smashes it and has her biggest haul ever in the game, Like I'm not far at. I thought for a moment I might keep my record, but there's no chance she's staying better than ever.
00:22:15
Speaker 1: She's three or four games away equaling your record.
00:22:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, and this is in the National League. Yes, un like Liz Ellis, I don't want my record broken. Of course, I really don't.
00:22:27
Speaker 1: Bullshit that people think they want to have their records break.
00:22:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so, I mean, if anyone's going to do, it'd be great. That she's been around forever in a day, Liz wants her to keep playing because then Liz remains relevant. She said that before, whilst there's still a current player playing that you played against, and I want her to retire away.
00:22:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was blown away. Yes, actually when I was watching her, thinking, oh my god, she's thirty seven, so I've played against her. I think I retired ten years ago. Narrator, I retired from almost nineteen years ago. And she's coplaying, you're going strong, and when you watch her like, it's fascinating that she doesn't. I love that Fever acknowledged the fact that she's thirty seven, she's had a kid, like, she's had a really long career which has taken a toll on her body. And rather than say no, you have to do the same warm up as everybody else, and you have to do giving me the same as everybody else, they let her go because she knows her body better than better than anyone. But she's so good at her positioning. And when I think back to when she started, I love playing against it because I could push her around to where I wanted her to go. And Irene mad Night was the same. And then Irene wised up when she went to New Zealand and got some coaching around how to hold. And Ramelda's obviously got great coaching over the years and has got better and better. And then you watch her yesterday and she gave Teagan O'shannessy a bit of a lesson in because Teagan's really good at jumping around and Ramelda was just so clever into repositioning. She didn't try and continually reposition She just position when she had to and set up the space for the ball like It's so clever and so efficient.
00:24:05
Speaker 2: And it was effortless. The pass obviously in was silver platter. It was amazing service she was getting from Glasgow in particularly yesterday, but she barely had to move to take it. She was just so experienced and classy. She ended up with sixty seven sixty seven from seventy six. Wow, that's like a ridiculous amount of shots put up.
00:24:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, and her right, Yeah, like they lost Janille Fowler, so foul out Nemba. But like in bringing in Ramelder, you don't have to change any of your structure, like none of their attacking.
00:24:41
Speaker 1: She don't have to change the structure. But I mean they really, you know, recognizing that her body is it is nearing the end of its professional life.
00:24:53
Speaker 4: She's fifty.
00:24:55
Speaker 2: Bloody not I want to she can play two more games and then she needs to have a seat.
00:25:00
Speaker 1: If she's going to smash the record, you might as well let her smash it right, keep going whatever and then make it hard then and then there's Ramelda, and then there's you, and then there's daylight. But like looking at how Alice teag neiled Sasha Glasgow and Kransberg's Yeah, crans which cransby Jordan and Zoe playing Jordan's Cransburg, Like how they are playing and they have to be so fast and so physical, and it's just it's great, you know, they've it's such a great strategy that they have set up to go, how do we how do we use this resource to best effect? It's like, man, good job, guys.
00:25:37
Speaker 2: Of course Swift's had no Sarah Klow how much difference would she have made. I'm not sure a whole heap. I think half of the Swift's problem was their attack. Yeah stuff, certainly maybe could have slowed up West Coast Fever. And there's seventy seven goals they got, but tigan Oshanness has been their best offensively for them all year anyway, so I think it was really just down the other end of the court they struggled. But how's Sarah Clow had not missed a game in ten seasons since she joined the Swifts, has never missed a game. Oh wow, isn't that unbelievable? One hundred and forty consecutive games and it's a quad quaddas just at a quad knock at training like a corky or something. So she should be okay for next week. But that unbelievable. To play that many games in a row.
00:26:20
Speaker 4: It's impressive.
00:26:21
Speaker 1: It's crazy good We missed you, Sarah.
00:26:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah it was.
00:26:25
Speaker 1: It was. Apart from that one quarter where I was quite bored, it was a great game. And yeah, it triuly date my hat off to Fever. They are looking good. I did not think they I did not think they would be this good this season. But speaking of injuries, I have a question. A lot of the key we inputs seem to be going down injured at the moment. Is this an intensity of a competition that they are now in that is testing them in a way that they've not been tested before?
00:26:58
Speaker 2: Highly likely, I think. Think even the preseason is longer than their season was all together, that alone, and then of course the intensity of the training sessions. Full time professional athletes here, so they are doing more of those training sessions, and of course the game is another level altogether. I think probably with the exception of Kelly Jackson who got a smack to the schnoz two weeks ago and she was ruled out at the eleventh hour for the Giants Firebirds clash as well on the weekend. But otherwise, yes, I mean, could well be could well be the issue. Don't know that for sure, but it looks like that, doesn't it.
00:27:33
Speaker 1: It was sad to see Jane Watson go down. Obviously disappointing that Maddy Gordon hasn't been able to take the court I think since round one. I think she played round one, didn't she? Yeah? Yeah. And Kelly Jackson that was a real surprise wasn't it.
00:27:44
Speaker 2: Well, you know what the most annoying thing about that was. I saw that, and then I changed my tips.
00:27:50
Speaker 1: I did want to talk about this because you tipped the Giants by three to win.
00:27:55
Speaker 2: Yes, but only because I changed it as soon as I saw the Kelly Jackson news thought that the Giants are in this now minus her.
00:28:03
Speaker 1: So in the pre game, Dylan next zip also tip the Giants, Joe Hart and tip the Giants, But I think that's a bit of a heart thing for her, and you tip the Firebirds at that moment.
00:28:16
Speaker 2: But that was just even things up. No, So yes, I learned my lesson because then I got to the when it got to the Swift's Fever game and I saw Sarah was ruled out, I was about to change my tips again, but Nap, stick to what you've done already. Thank goodness. But how good was that game? So both of those sides going for their first win of the season. Nobody would have expected a twenty three goal difference between seventh and eighth on the ladder. That's insane, and Firebirds were unbelievably outstanding.
00:28:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, so do you think that will translate into being that good in coming weeks. Who are they playing?
00:28:50
Speaker 2: No, I don't. Short answer is no, because the week before they played the Thunderbirds and they're terrible, and they started the same seven and I thought that was a terrible because the seven that had played the Thunderbirds the week before only scored nine in the opening quarter. But God love Kittie Wills for backing them in to give them another opportunity, because then they produce the goods and they were outstanding in that opening quarter. So you know, and this is the thing I have to say, I think, LIZI you'll know in commentary you've got to kind of say what you think everyone's talking about, right, And so I was very vocal at the start of the game about that being a bad decision and why wouldn't you start Elsa siff sand Hold after such a great game last year and blah blah blah, And then of course the fire Beds go and kill it in the first fifteen minutes and for the game. So then you've got to eat your words. And I'm like, well, that's probably what a lot of people will think.
00:29:43
Speaker 1: And did you hear she did give you a bit of yours, cas And.
00:29:46
Speaker 2: I love that, but I love that. Good on us, seriously love that. And it was great because even when we had to do our cross to her at three quarter time, I basically said, how good is it when you're starting seven do such a good job, you know, like you stick with them?
00:30:00
Speaker 1: And then and she was quite gracious. Then she said, hiind insight to it. Yeah, so who are they playing next?
00:30:07
Speaker 2: Well, giants have got thunderbirds and firebirds have got fever.
00:30:11
Speaker 4: Okay, in perfect good game.
00:30:13
Speaker 3: I'm just going to pick up on you on your point, Catherine. I think like your job in commentary is actually to take a position, and but the position that you take as a commentator is different from the position you take as a coach, Like the coach's job. We used to instill confidence, make changes where you think they're necessary. But to your point, like if you if you believe in your starting seven and you think they just need to work out of it and and have the opportunity to fix it, that's a very different proposition too if you're a commentator going, I don't think this is a best starting seven, right, so you sort of get You've got to remember like it's hard when you first start commentating too, because you you're so used to thinking like a captain or a coach, then you've got to go into commentary mode, which is which is a little bit different. I just want to pick up on the Giants thing that you spoke about at the start of the podcast, Carolt about how hard it is when your team's down. I want to give you a little bit of context. Do you remember the Thunderbirds, like they are all conquering now, but they went through a period in twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen they lost twenty seven games in a row Dan Ryan, Yeah, under Dan Ryan, and there were some organizational sort of issues that were addressed. And the Thunderbirds are now sort of you almost forget that because there's such a powerhouse and there've been such a powerhouse for its several years now that they were they were the easy beats of the competition, what five years ago, six years ago, So like things can change.
00:31:43
Speaker 1: And yeah's and that is so that's great, and it is It is cyclical the game, isn't it. You can't You're going to be boring if one team is always on top.
00:31:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're still so good stuff for the Giants as well, Like they had nineteen deflections that's massive. They're just not winning ball. But jode awn Ward was amazing again, she was their best. They didn't start. They won the last quarter of that game as well, so you know, they obviously had the issue with Jane Watson at the start of the game. That didn't help their cause. But I think there's still lots of stuff they can take out of that. It's just the trouble for them is that they're going to face the Thunderbirds the following week.
00:32:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, look, it's not going to be an easy season for them. But I think there's a lot of a lot of good stuff there. I think, you know, Aaron O'Brien being told you're going on right now as key part, you know, no chance to get her head in that space. I think I thought she did a fantastic job. The Firebirds tried to win that fourth quarter. It was not like they went foot off the pedal. It doesn't matter, you know, that was what they were talking about in their huddle. So the Giants won that fourth quarter. They weren't they weren't gifted that. But I think we have to talk about are the MAVs the best team? Are they going to be the best team in history not to make the finals. It's I know it's still early, but it's not that early. We're nearly a third of the way through the season, and they just can't so close. There's so much amazing stuff happening out of them, and they've just had so they've lost what They've lost two games by a goal each. And this last week they tested the Thunderbirds. They're the first team to really make the Thunderbirds have to kind of think and dig in and it's like and they're sitting in the same place on the ladder as the Swifts, and it's just I just ah, man, it must be so frustrated, so tantalizing to be a MAVs fan because it's going to happen right there. Well, it will sensational soon.
00:33:36
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:33:36
Speaker 3: I think that's actually a good call, Like if they don't make the finals, it's going to be phenomenal. I think we talked before the season about our top four predictions and I said, am I going to regret not having the MAVs in there? I don't know if you picked the Fever to be sitting in that top four.
00:33:50
Speaker 1: I did not pick Fever. I picked the MAVs, and I did say that I don't think there would be a new South Wales team in the finals and hoping to be wrong, but.
00:34:00
Speaker 2: They're both the bottom of the ladder now after the weekend.
00:34:03
Speaker 4: Crazy massive issue there, So.
00:34:08
Speaker 2: No, I agree they were amazing and you know they've forced Thunderbirds into plenty of errors. When a couple of weeks ago Thunderbirds had a record low error rate for a game. They're out twenty two on the weekend, so they're making mistakes and I think people, really Mads in particular, were showing where they were vulnerable. So I think a lot of teams would be smart to watch that game back and see where they can be exploited.
00:34:30
Speaker 3: Catherine, I've spoke about unique Plavi being bored on enough to be like the change up shooter for the Sun called super Shot. Do you think that their coach will continue to go with the change or at some point, as you go, right, I'm just going to not like, at what.
00:34:47
Speaker 4: Point do you?
00:34:49
Speaker 3: Again, from a commentary point of view, yougo, well, that's not working. But I wonder if he's got a bit of a method that Look, it's going to take us four or five rounds to actually know this, But We're going to be really dangerous because you know, the defensive line won't get a chance to figure out what to do when we'll be making changes faster than the defenders can adjust. Like, at what point do you think that he needs to either sort of pick and stick or is he still in a process where he can go. I'm going to keep changing it up until it works.
00:35:18
Speaker 2: Yeah. Look again, we don't know what goes on at training, but it was interesting on the weekend. Bacheldor played the full game and then Shimona, Nelson and Polavi shared the load a bit more. There's no issue with changing players, I don't think in the Power five time, because you've got to have your experts out there. But I think we saw what was the game yesterday. It must have been towards the end of the Fever Swifts game. You saw Glasgow shooting the long shots, but then the rebound when they were missed going straight to Aike and George, And it was happening with the Swifts as well. If Helen Howes we was missing, Wicky was cleaning them up. That's I think where it can be really good. I think the problem is trying to find that one shooter. Yeah, and so the changes in that power five time fine, But as we touched on last week, I think you have to give them more than five minutes. So there's got to be regular touches throughout the game before you throw them in cold to start draining long shots. But I mean, is that a minute before, is it a couple of minutes before? I don't know. But again we don't know what structures are happening at training. But I do believe you're right. The more this happens throughout the season, the more they get used to the expectation, and then hopefully by a second half of the season and finals, if they get there, that's a well awed machine in those changes.
00:36:36
Speaker 1: I think this leads into something I wanted to ask you about too, what's happening with Lightning and Gabby Sinclair, Like she isn't she there? Sort of wasn't she the recruit? She's a genius at bluddy two pointers? And I just, yeah, I don't think I was surprised to not see them using her more, and particularly when it started to really get away from them in the fourth quarter like that, You know, that was that was a really good game. That Vixen's Lightning game and then it ran away. If you haven't seen the game, I don't think the score reflects what a competitive game it was and how close it was for a very long time. Lightning led for quite a lot of that game, and then Vixen's were able to kind of peg it back to equal. But I'm just I'm surprised not to see more use of her in that position. Again, it's sort of like, come on, do three minutes and now you're off, and now you're off for the rest of the game.
00:37:26
Speaker 2: And that could still be load management because we're not a member. She missed a could be injury. Not sure about that, but yeah, you're right, it only that last quarter was twenty two to fourteen. But what pat Kira Austin seven super shots, Yeah, that's fourteen points, just boom.
00:37:42
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:37:43
Speaker 2: Interesting.
00:37:44
Speaker 1: There was a bit of an interview with her after the game because she was the player of the match, and she was talking about how much she's loving having Karen Berger, who is one of the key imports playing for Lightning, so she's just saying how much it's helping her and she obviously has her diamonds had on when she's thinking this, but how much it's helping her being able to play against Karen Berger more obviously in the lead up to the international season. It's like, yeah, I think that's it is great And obviously that benefit then extends to the New Zealand. Yeah, yeah, I mean that goes both ways. But I think that is a really a really interesting thing because you know, again I'm seeing on Facebook, not in our group, which is full of reasonable smart people, but in other netball chat groups about sort of talking about well taking jobs away from taking jobs away from Australian girls. And I totally see that point of view, but the standard of the game lifts for everybody.
00:38:37
Speaker 2: That standard of the game yesterday too unbelievable. They had twenty turnovers in total for the game for both sides. That's really suitable for two quality sides. Unbelievable considering the Mavericks and the Tea Birds game had nearly fifty. Yeah, that was a great, really unbelievable.
00:38:55
Speaker 1: So Daryl the stats Man did point out that the fifty five points that the Giants got would have been enough to draw with the Thunderbirds. Now, they probably wouldn't have got fifty five against the Thunderbirds. But it's interesting what seems like a really low score for a team in another game that's enough to win.
00:39:11
Speaker 3: So yeah, on Thunderbirds, defensive intensity means that they don't have to score a mountin of goals. Katherine Cara Conen been pushed out of her customary usual comfort zone of goal shooter and into goal attack. I think that happened to you when you went to Perth years ago. How do you think she's going like you've I mean, given that you've been in that situation before, you know how hard it is. It's not just a matter of running a little bit more. It changes up your entry to the circle, You're timing everything like that, would you? I mean, I think she's doing well when I was watching it yesterday.
00:39:48
Speaker 2: No, I do too, I really do, because there were so many questions around that.
00:39:52
Speaker 1: I remember.
00:39:53
Speaker 2: It happened to Sophie Garban too, when she was at the Magpies and they had Shimona Nelson behind her. She had to go out a goal attack and she wasn't playing that well at goal attack Sophie Garbin, but at the end of the day it helped her understand that goal attack role. When she went back to play shooter or gave her another string to her bow with the diamonds as well. And I think that's what this will do for Ka Rakkonen. It means that Stacy Marinkovic has got a really viable option, another option at goal attack if she needs one when she gets to the comm Dames and stuff. Now I'm loving what I'm seeing from her.
00:40:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's exciting.
00:40:29
Speaker 4: Absolutely.
00:40:30
Speaker 1: I need to give a quick update on the valadriblers tip in comp where we've got to this week. There's been some movement. It's been an exciting week obviously. So you'll remember in Catherine's little video tip last week that she did say that she was going for the Firebirds, Thunder Fever and Fever and Vixen's. Had she done that, she would have had a perfect round, she would have got five points. She didn't do that. She went for Giants at the last at the last minute. So we've had some movement. Our weekly prize winner is a tiper named Kerry who's a swift supporter who this will give you something to be happy about this week. Fifty bucks from Valor to spend on some sweet gear there and we have an outright leader of the whole competition at the moment, Netball Betty is sitting on twenty one points. Yes, now in our little Hosts and Heroes group, the leaders of that pack. So there's eight of a senate. They are sitting on sixteen points. You're at the bottom of the of the top pack. So what does that make you? Does that make you lightning?
00:41:28
Speaker 2: Where am I next to Alexa? Yeah?
00:41:30
Speaker 1: Well that's what I'm going to get to. Alexa is ahead of you. But if our eight was the super netball ladder fascinators who you will remember one the Valor Dribblers tipping comp last year, has zoomed back into first place there on sixteen points, so they're the Thunderbirds. Darryl the statsman Milton has zoomed into second place also with five points, so who's second? So Darryl is the Vixen's this week, Alexa, who is your bestie, is sitting in third place and you're in fourth place. Gordie has had a great resurgence, having come from second last last week. She had a perfect round this week, She's fifth, I'm sixth, killing Devy is seventh, and the Boss is because as she as you know, she only tips home teams, so she is sitting on interesting nine points. Only only nine home games out of sixteen so far home teams have won, So there we go. So two hundred and nineteen people got got perfect round this week, got five points. So what's said about twenty five percent of the comp?
00:42:35
Speaker 2: That was a tough round? Send comp hit now done, guys.
00:42:39
Speaker 1: Three hundred and fifty two people got three hundred and forty six people were with me on two points and two people got zero points, which again is as hard as getting a full round. So yes, but thank you to Yeah. We made the announcement last week the Valor has come back on board to support the tipping comp this week, and what that means is that everybody who lodged tips in this past round we'll go into the draw to win a Valor camp for one hundred and fifty bucks to spend on their website which has some really nice gifts. So we might do that draw before you go today.
00:43:12
Speaker 2: Yeah, fam, we are.
00:43:13
Speaker 1: And the Swift's Dinner is this Friday night, thirty years of the Swifts, and I'm going to be joined on the no Dribble table by five dribblers. Sharneie Nicole, Joe, Carly and another Carolyn. Oh wow, all the gals. Yeah, will the universe end? But two Carolyn's on the same table. So and you guys will be dropping past to come and see us.
00:43:34
Speaker 4: And we will.
00:43:35
Speaker 2: And I ran into the Swift's hierarchy at the game yesterday and apparently lizzellas we're on a panel and they've kept the best to last. But they also assumed by that stage we'd have a few wines under our belt and we would be entertaining. So they've got a few panels. I think the Swifts now they're going to be first because they have to leave, they've got to play the next day. They won't be all that night partying like the rest of us. And then they've got a middle ear and then the early birds us. So you, myself and Ali Broadband are going to be interviewed by Sue Gordion later in the evening.
00:44:07
Speaker 3: Fantastic. Well that's about sweet spot that we've had enough wines but not too many, and for me it's a very narrow sweet spot.
00:44:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's side.
00:44:17
Speaker 1: Well, there's also you need to go to bed at some stuff when you're wearing hotel slippers to this event.
00:44:23
Speaker 2: No, I've got to work the next day. I've got to do the game too, so I'll have to be sensible. But yesterday, just quickly the tunnel that goes down ken Rosewall Arena from the chain rooms down to the court, they've got up thirty years of the swifts and they've got a photo for every year of one of the players. And so I was filming it as I was walking down, kind of waiting to find myself. I'm the first one. Like I shouldn't be the first one. You should have been the first one. Traina wag should have been like you're I think, yeah, but you're like, I'm ninety seven, and then I reckon, there's even two players before you, like, hang on a minute. It's just massive for the very first one. I'm in that dodgy uniform, you know, the real panel of blue and yellow that we had right at the start where you got the best wedges of all time when you just did one step beautiful. Yeah, they were great at the time.
00:45:15
Speaker 1: I think they'll be wearing a heritage dress this week. They are, Yeah, so they'll be announcing that. So yesterday when I was at ken Rosewall Arena, not Rod laver Arena, as I put on the Facebook group, and thank you to everyone who pointed out where I was, because I clearly have no idea what day it is or what my name is. But they've got all of the Swift centurions up around the stadium. Liz, your number two, who's number one? Who's the first Swift Centurion?
00:45:40
Speaker 2: No, she's number two, as in the Swift that's not in order of centurion was.
00:45:44
Speaker 4: The second sief.
00:45:45
Speaker 3: So they did it from the first year. Katrina wag was a captain and I was a vice captain. So Katrina is Swift number one and I'm Swift number two. And enough that it's alphabetical, I think, yep, oh, okay.
00:45:54
Speaker 2: So it's Meghan Anderson, then third Bali Broadman that I'm fifth, okay, yeah, an alphabetical lot I.
00:46:00
Speaker 3: So Ali Broben did want to get married before that, because otherwise she would have read Ali Williams and she would have been well behind Catherine.
00:46:06
Speaker 1: Well, this is why as a swindle, I didn't play for the Swifts because it's so well, I'm just going to be at the end of the line so it doesn't matter.
00:46:12
Speaker 4: But I chose wrong last name with stocks you're at the end, go Elli, and now.
00:46:19
Speaker 2: I Meanwhile, we've swapped doors at Ken Rosell Arena where your centurion thing is is where I was last year, So you're now in that door and I've been moved a couple of doors around the corner.
00:46:29
Speaker 1: Well, she's directly opposite me. I know, can I ball it for the whole game, especially in the second quarter where I'm like, please, okay, we should take a quick break. That was a great ample chat. Okay, So as you know, we have a segment, we have a segment called ask a Goat, but no one's been asking the goat any questions, so I can't believe that we don't have If you have a question that you would like Lizellis to answer, please send it to info at no Dribble dot com dot au. We don't really want Netball Australia type questions unless it's something really interesting. It's like she's you know, it's we're just you know, it's not we're not it's not an admin.
00:47:18
Speaker 4: Must remember I'm not the CEO.
00:47:20
Speaker 1: She's not the CEO. That's right.
00:47:21
Speaker 2: So we don't want camping questions.
00:47:23
Speaker 1: Oh, we don't want camping.
00:47:24
Speaker 3: Oh, we just so want camping questions, you know, although I did think this weekend so Bluesfest got canceled up at Bar and Bay, So that was quite controversial because I think got canceled a couple of weeks ago. I was spearing I was actually thinking of going today because we always used to have always got tickets for the Monday, because everyone's just a bit more relaxed on the Monday. You can go and just sit around and get some catch some great music. So normally I would be sitting at blues Fest loving myself. That is not the case today, just because I'm here loving myself. Now I'm here loving you guys. But the big thing about Bluesfest was that people who often got and camp and this week it has done nothing but pierce rain. And we had that conversation about Easter is always rain. I love caravanning and camping, don't get me wrong, but why would you caravan and camp?
00:48:15
Speaker 1: And I did lie in bed on Saturday night listening to it absolutely bucket down outside and think, well, this would be better. Caravanning would be better than camping in this particular incidence, and my bed with the new linen sheets that Pete got for Christmas next to your steer, just just lovely.
00:48:38
Speaker 2: So how good is lying in bed when it's that's so good?
00:48:45
Speaker 1: But I saw we have another segment called things that make You Going, and Alex will insert the sting there so I don't have to sing it again. But I was at this is more a question other than the things that make your government. This is a question we don't haven't asked the goat. But what we do have is me asking a question of the Dribblers. I saw a guy walking at Sydney Airport last week when I was picking up my daddy, had shorts on and the whole back of one calf was a Broncos tattoo. I'd like to know whether any Dribblers have tattoos of their Super Netball team, and I'd like to see photos of them. Now, it doesn't count if you've played for that team and they've won a premiership. I'm just going to assume that you've got the tattoo then, because pretty much everyone we have interviewed some people who didn't get it, haven't we was it Steph Fretwell.
00:49:38
Speaker 2: Who oh yeah yeah, and it's not ever the like a big logo and then and it's not a little tiny ye lighting ballts or something.
00:49:49
Speaker 1: But I thought that was interesting, Like that's a real commitment to the cause of your NRL team, isn't it.
00:49:56
Speaker 2: I have seen somebody's signature, someone signed sign someone's arm and they got that tattooed on.
00:50:02
Speaker 1: Oh wow, Yeah, that's intense. You really want to know that you're going to love something. It's like, I just know that at one stage, I thought it was a good idea to perm my hair. So that's why I can't trust myself to make permanent decisions about fashion or you know, things that I like.
00:50:20
Speaker 2: No, no, I want to hear this.
00:50:22
Speaker 1: Okay, do you have things that make you go hmm?
00:50:25
Speaker 2: Not this week? Okay, No, I don't, but I'll think about one.
00:50:29
Speaker 1: I'll tell you something. I thought that you would mention that video that I sent to you while we were talking about camping and raining and caravans and things and thinking, oh, it's nice to go and stay in a decent hotel. Did I send you a video this week that freaked you out?
00:50:42
Speaker 2: Yes? And do you know what scared me about that is that was a nice hotel. Yeah, it looked nice. So what she's talking about this is horrifying, and I will never Normally, I just worry about cleaning the remote in a hotel, sanitize the crap out of it because I've heard some stories and the kettle. I've heard some stories about the kettle as well, anyway, but I will forever now be looking four snakes in and under the bear. So this was a nice hotel in Thailand.
00:51:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, it looked like a three and a half four star hotels we did that. A five star well, I think five stars, depending on whether you've got a gymnasium and a pool or whatever. But it looked like a nice hotel.
00:51:22
Speaker 2: It was something I would stay in, and it looked like it was in civilization, not in the middle of the Amazon or whatever else. Anyway, Apparently someone would tie Amazon feeling like they were being strangled, and rang downstairs to get them to come up and investigate. And they're sure enough. Was it was a cobra too, wasn't it?
00:51:40
Speaker 4: Yeah?
00:51:40
Speaker 1: Yeah? And it took them a while, like they dismantled the whole bedroom and then pulled the bed right back and went, oh, hello, have a look at this. And it was a It looked maybe a bit over a meter along this thing didn't it so, but the person had woken up because this thing had been crawling around their necks.
00:51:59
Speaker 2: Stop, oh, stop, I have conniptions when there's a Daddy long legs in Liza's house.
00:52:05
Speaker 1: House.
00:52:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, when I stay there and I do look under the bed in Lizza's house, I do, and in the cupboards everythe in case there is a snake.
00:52:12
Speaker 1: She did say she felt vindicated about that Daddy long Legs once I'd shared that video there. But you know, you grow up in Australia, you think, look, I know about sharing the space with scary things, and there will be snakes. If I go into the country, there will be snakes, There will be outside, there'll be things. Sometimes inside the spiders might come in, but they're usually not the ones that can kill you. But you know, so that gives you a sense of kind of maybe arrogance or confidence when you go to another country and you think, yeah, okay, I got this under control. But a cobra in your hotel room.
00:52:48
Speaker 2: Somebody must have planted that.
00:52:51
Speaker 1: How does a cott get in there? Yeah?
00:52:53
Speaker 4: How does a.
00:52:53
Speaker 2: Cobra sneak into a hotel room unless someone's put that in there? Any Who, maybe Daryl can invest again. Did keep me awake last night, Thank you very much. So that might have been the few wines I had after the game.
00:53:06
Speaker 1: Things that make you go hmm okay. So we do need to give a shout out to your colleague in New.
00:53:17
Speaker 2: Zealand, Jenny Woods. You're amazing so time she did message and say your podcast is actually keeping me sane. So I don't know how much of it is public, but our great mate, one of our New Zealand commentary team, has had some health battles at the minute. She's on the mend, but she's been listening to No Dribble and she said we're funny and she's loving it and it's keeping her sane. So Jen, we are thinking of you, We love you, and speedy recovery.
00:53:44
Speaker 1: And thanks for letting us know we are very much thinking of you. And yeah, hope, hope things go. Did you see that video of Donald Trump declaring someone's sort of private health information?
00:53:55
Speaker 2: Oh my god, did not.
00:53:56
Speaker 1: So it's some member of Congress over there and he's with Mike Johnson, I think he's the Speaker of the House, and he starts talking about this member of Congress who has has cancer and they were sort of they were dancing around it didn't say too much, you know, trying to be respectful, and then Donald just says, yeah, it's stage four, he's got less than six months to live. And Mike Johnson as well. That actually wasn't public information, so.
00:54:19
Speaker 2: My god, and you can't retract that that would have been out. Hey just on health really quickly. I heard this story yesterday. So a friend of mine went and had had the mammogram, had all our ultra sounds done, all the good stuff, doing the breast check. There was something a little suspicious, so she had to go back and get further ultrasounds and bits done. Anyway, finally diagnosed as trapped fat. What that's my whole freaking body.
00:54:42
Speaker 1: What fresh hell is this? I know?
00:54:45
Speaker 2: Right now? This again. You know how we've spoken about the fact that the mammogram machine must have been invented by a mate. That term must have been invented by a mate, trapped fat, because if that was a male talking about a male's body, it would be like dormant muscles trapped fat. Yeah, that's all my chins.
00:55:04
Speaker 1: Can tell us anything about what this is.
00:55:08
Speaker 2: Well, it's I think it's just a.
00:55:12
Speaker 1: Okay, So it shows up as like as a mass in the breast, and what it was referred to as the breast basically is fat.
00:55:21
Speaker 2: That's what I says. It's like, take all the trap fat out of my arm and put it in my booms. I'll be quite happy with you.
00:55:26
Speaker 1: Another another term that I reckon a man made up hostile uterus. So you know, some people when they're having trouble conceiving and they get diagnosed as having a hostile uterus.
00:55:35
Speaker 2: And that's the ones that reject the sperm.
00:55:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe they're infurious sperm girls. Gotta have standards, right, Things that make me go, hm, things that make you go Anyway, We are coming up to round five. Speaker 3: I've been Liz Elis probably will still be Lizellis next week.
00:56:25
Speaker 4: See you then bye bye.
00:56:32
Speaker 2: So Liz had to leave early, right. But I didn't want to say this before because she would have pat herself on the back. But a dribbler came up to meet the game yesterday and said, oh hi, I'm a dribbler and I'm one of the ones that loves caravanning and camping. I was like, great, I'm not mentioning that to Lise, so it's good. I'll tell you now now that she's not here.
00:56:52
Speaker 1: We keep that under wraps. Yeah, glad we didn't put it in the episode. Me too.
00:56:56
Speaker 2: God,
