00:00:01
Speaker 1: It's Night Side with Dan Ray on WBZ Boston's news radio.
00:00:07
Speaker 2: There's a news story here that has just broken by Newsweek. Donald Trump launches investigation into CNN over Iran ceasefire. President Donald Trump said that CNN made a false statement in the moments following the announcement of the ceasefire on Tuesday night. In opposed to x, the White House said that a headline on the CNN Live blog reading quote Iran claims victory says it forced us to accept ten point plan unquote, was false. This alleged statement by Iran as by a fraud, is a fraud. Correct immediately, the White House rapid response account, said a CNN spokesperson told Newsweek and an email Tuesday night, the statement in question was obtained by CNN from Iranian officials and reported on multiple Iranian state media outlets. So CNN basically is serving as a microphone for Iranian state media outlets. We received the statement from specific Iranian spokespeople who were known to us. Okay, all right, it's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. According to the to the White House, the alleged statement put out by CNN World News is a fraud, as CNN well knows. Trump said his post, adding the false statement was linked to a fake news site from Nigeria, and of course immediately picked up by CNN and bled out as a legitimate headline. Well again, you know, it would be like reporting, I guess in World War Two that Japanese warplanes bravely attacked US Navy personnel at Pearl Harbor because the Navy personnel's mere presence at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii represented a threat to the Imperial Emperor of Japan. I guess may how times have changed. Let me go to Dave and Brighton. Dave, you were next on Nightside. How are you, sir?
00:02:16
Speaker 3: Good sir?
00:02:16
Speaker 4: Then get taken my call.
00:02:18
Speaker 2: Welcome.
00:02:18
Speaker 4: I have the whole hearted You disagree with you. A leopard can't change his spots. You could put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. When a week ago, when the President vice president were receiving the parties of those poor servicemen that lost their lives over there, yeah, they kept saying this.
00:02:40
Speaker 5: The President finished the job. So therefore these people that lostaw their loved ones. You know, now they're saying, like what you know, why is he doing this, only bad things can happen. There was a ship coming from Beijing in international waters headed to Irian with grown pops fuel fertilizer for them. You know, while this goes on, they're just gonna restock. You can't trust them, you know, if you believe that, I'll saw have some beachfront properly in Roxbury and they can't be trusted.
00:03:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I don't disagree with you, by the way that that Iran has proven over the years they can't be trusted. They misled the Obama administration. They have tried to, you know, produce a nuclear weapon or they said that they're very close to producing eleven nuclear weapons. That was a moment of candor from Iran. Apparently that was disclosed to Witkof and Kushner at the final negotiation in Geneva before the Trump administration decided to attack. Here's the problem, Okay, here's the problem. And someone I think with Steve that mentioned this. Do you hit the infrastructure sites with Iranian women and children standing around them. I don't know if they'd be standing around them at four o'clock in the morning, but I mean, do you do that?
00:04:16
Speaker 4: Do you think that the screme leader really cares they killed fifty people know that.
00:04:23
Speaker 2: I understand that they do nothing. I do understand that, but but it seems to me that two weeks from now, or if at any time in between, Iran does something which breaks the ceasefire, that puts us on the higher moral ground and can say, look, we complied, we gave them. Not only do we give them ten days to negotiate, which they did negotiate. And I mean, there's this sort of a world public opinion that you have to take into some consideration. Well, you can't live your.
00:05:04
Speaker 4: Life worrying about what other people think about you. You have to do what you think is best.
00:05:09
Speaker 2: Maybe Donald Trump. I mean, if you want to criticize Donald Trump from the right and say that he should have been blasting bridges and power stations and electrical stations and salination stations tonight, that's fine. I'm glad you called on that one. I think that the decision was made tonight looking for an end to I don't think he's going to lose his eye off what the goal is, which is to make sure that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.
00:05:45
Speaker 5: I think you have to take everything into context in terms of escalating de escalating.
00:05:51
Speaker 4: Not a lot of people know. But years ago Syria was developing a nuclear weapon and the besides.
00:06:01
Speaker 6: Found out about it. Send guys in gout samples and they immediately it was when when Aside was in there, and they took that out the questions to ask and they didn't say oh yeah.
00:06:16
Speaker 2: They just but I think I think again, you're dealing in a different set of circumstances. Okay, And look, you might be right. So they feel free to call back two days from now or two weeks from now where this ceasefire is broken. You're on the record.
00:06:31
Speaker 7: Here, which is one that doesn't make two weeks.
00:06:34
Speaker 2: Well, that may be true, and if it's, if it is, I want you to I have no doubt that you will call back.
00:06:40
Speaker 3: So I prob then welcome.
00:06:44
Speaker 2: Six one seven, two four ten thirty six one seven, nine three one ten thirty. I got some open lines here. I want to know, are you happier tonight or are you like Dave? And you feel that President Trump lost his his gumption at the last moment and that that he should have followed through. I think that he's doing what he thinks is best. Uh. At this point, if you destroy the infrastructure of Iran. I don't know how they ever build that society back. I think that he engaged in some pretty fiery language last night, uh, and tonight he has changed tactics. The question will be finally resolved if we are able to accomplish what we want, and that is a de nuclearized Iran. Join the conversation. Coming right back on night Side six one seven two thirty six, seven ninety one to know what you think.
00:07:51
Speaker 1: Coming back night Side with Dan Ray. I'm telling you Boston's news Radio.
00:07:59
Speaker 2: Let's keep Roland. You're going to go to Christine in havebro Christine. You were next Don night Side. Welcome.
00:08:06
Speaker 8: Yes Hi, Dan, Yes Hi. So first of all, I want to say I agree with you a good night for America. Totally agree with that. And then I also appreciate too you always seem to bring up two sides of the conversation of the issue, so and I find that hard to find these days, So I so appreciate that. So so the conversation you had with the Dean was interesting, and I love the fact that you initially started the conversation about the reason why we're there. You know, they're the uranium and the atrocities to their people. And I was so disappointed that he kind of flopped that off. He really kind of didn't really want to go there. He acknowledged it for about two seconds and then quickly went into Trump's actions. And for me, I thought, how disappointing that was to be so emphatic of what the war crimes was as he was referring to it, and to kind of just quickly say, yeah, that's true and then and no airtime for that. Well, I just thought that imbalanced.
00:09:18
Speaker 2: I went after him on that, and he was a gentleman. He he obviously has strong feelings, and he comes from academia. I come from a different set of circumstances. And I was glad that that that he was as honest with us as he was. I think he said what he believed and and firmly believed what he said.
00:09:46
Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely, I agree, But that's my point. Like he he barely even wanted to talk about that, and and not I mean, that's not his specialty. Maybe you know, No, it is a.
00:09:59
Speaker 2: Special No, no, he is. That is his. That is his specialty. And he feels strongly and he again, I'm not going to criticize someone who's who's not here. You have your point of view. I thought that he represented his point of view very well and I couldn't have been happier with the interview. Again, I think that the amount of bombing that we have done and the amount of boats that we have sunk, and they have only lost, they have only lost twenty seventy six people. I mean, I think we have been extremely careful, extremely careful. And when he mentioned the girls' school, it's next to one i RG headquarters. I mean that's what they do. They place, you know, hospitals and schools close to protect their military. Tonight, you saw the video of the women and the children. I mean, what does that say about that regime? I absolutely, I think those people, I mean you and I both agree those people were not doing that. They weren't getting up and saying I want to get out there and stand there. They were told what they had to.
00:11:23
Speaker 8: Do, right, right and right, and they're on a media blackout, so they don't think I have no idea what's going on?
00:11:31
Speaker 2: I asked. That's why I asked the question, how can we be perceived internationally as the bad guy? I know Russia and China will hate us because there are competitors. I get that, but how we perceived the United States of America is the bad guy after everything that we have done, the sacrifices that we've made during World War II for all of those European countries.
00:11:51
Speaker 7: Uh, you know, it's perplexing.
00:11:55
Speaker 8: I agree. And you know, my other part is this, you know, it's about amplifying and and almost maybe amplify more about the atrocities that they are doing, that Iran is doing to their people. And that's that's that's so hard news. I get that that's hard, but that seems for me it gets lost among all of the other you know, talking about Trump, and trust me, I have, you know, my concerns about Trump and how he communicates, but he's also I think he gets who Iran is and and playing appropriately. And his biggest critics don't ever seem to have another solution. You know, they have their highly critical but they don't have any recommendations that they want to provide a diplomatic approach, whereas I think that's been a tried and this is where we are today. So but yeah, so I do I get so frustrated where we lose the core of the issue, and we get caught.
00:12:53
Speaker 2: Up we're going way overboard when for war crimes. I mean, come on, I'm you know, he's trying to he's trying to negotiate. And sometimes when you're dealing with a bully, when you're dealing with a crazy person, you have to let them know that, hey, we're not messing around. You're not dealing with the Obama administration at this point, You're dealing with a different set of people. You're dealing with Marco Rubio, who understands what communism did to the island of Cuba. Cuba, You're dealing with a different set of people. You're dealing You're no longer dealing with Mark milly Is, the chair of the drugt Chief chief of Staff. You're dealing with General Kine. It's a different teams and hopefully they can accomplish with their strategy and minimize the damage. Christine, I love you call. I appreciate it. I just wish you'd call more often. Okay, because as you made some great points.
00:13:50
Speaker 8: Well, thank you so much. I appreciate your as well. Thanks so much.
00:13:54
Speaker 2: Thanks you. Good night. Let's keep rolling. You're going to go to Charlie and Saugus. Charlie, you're going to get us to the bottom of the hour, Go right ahead.
00:14:00
Speaker 7: Charlie, Okay again, thank you.
00:14:04
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:14:04
Speaker 7: I think it is a good night for the country. I'm happy personally myself with with having a cease player right now. Actually, and you.
00:14:13
Speaker 2: Know, I think a lot of time on our sides at this point.
00:14:20
Speaker 7: How love was that? Again?
00:14:21
Speaker 2: I think we have time on our side here.
00:14:25
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:14:25
Speaker 7: Yeah, that can make a difference in itself. If you do have the time on your on your side, a lot of times it helps to make a better, better decision for one time. I think a lot of people have been uh you know, meditating and praying for peaceful so let's I have myself. That's kind of the way I am. Uh but uh and when I think about it, you know, if the electrical riot of the country is taken down, it could be a lot of uh unintended casualties like uh no dialysis machines and people who are on life sustaining machines and things like that, So it could contribute to uh other casualism. And I don't think that, you know, put President of Trump, I think he wants to keep the casualties as low as possible. And I'm sure he's probably uh now, praying for the right course of actions for himself. That's why he he tends to modify his decisions. So I'm sure that he wants the best outcome for everyone in the love the people in Iran, and uh the people in the US and and the rest of the world too.
00:15:55
Speaker 2: Actually, well, but I certainly hope so, and yeah, let's let's hope that it all turns out well for everyone, one of the one of the world benefit if if Ron never had the capacity to produce or deliver a nuclear weapon, And I think, yeah, yeah, that's.
00:16:18
Speaker 7: Nout about that.
00:16:20
Speaker 2: Critically important at this point. So we'll have to see where, you know, where the story goes.
00:16:29
Speaker 7: I am yeah, to be continuous, that's right.
00:16:33
Speaker 2: Unfortunately, it will have to be continued. Charlie. I appreciate you taking the time to call. We're coming up on our newscast, so I gotta screwed at this point, but please continue to Okay, I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great night, Charlie. All right, we're going to take a quick break. Here here comes the news. We'll be back right after the news at the bottom of the arrow. The only line open right now is six one seven. There's only one subject to talk about tonight. This is a historic night, like it or not. Whether you agree with the president, whether you wanted to see more wrath and fire come down on Iran. I think the decision tonight is one that needed to be taken. And let's see if it leads somewhere. If it doesn't lead somewhere, that's positive. Maybe this gives the Iranian government, whatever is the government, whomever is the government, maybe gives them time to come to their senses and say, look, this is an opportunity for us to move on to a better place. I hope so, I hope so that country has labored long enough under the hand the iron hend, the iron fist of despotic theocratic dictators. It is time for freedom in Iran. Back on Night's Side, right after these messages and this newscast.
00:18:01
Speaker 1: Night Side with Dan Ray on Boston's News Radio.
00:18:07
Speaker 2: Okay, we're going back to the calls. We're going to try to move everybody a little bit more quickly. Bill in Pennsylvania, Bill, interesting as to what you have to say.
00:18:17
Speaker 9: I'm with you, Dan, I think it's good. You know, I'm seventy six years old and I've never in my life until tonight, heard anybody complain about the ceasefire except as soon as I as soon as I heard the good news, I went immediately the CNN, and of course they were they were are they were still on the war crimes thing, and uh and why didn't we get our It's just amazing that they can get away with that stuff. But yeah, so, uh, it's a ceasefire. You said it just a couple of minutes ago. It gives us time. Okay, time is good. And uh, sometimes when the when the pressure is off, like a ceasefire, didn't you know, the pressure is off and people can actually sit down and think about both sides can sit down and come up with some solutions.
00:19:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not optimistic that we will get We're not, you know, I think we're dealing with with I don't know who we're dealing with. I mean, I think that a lot of the really bad guys, the people who are at the top of the pyramid. Didn't you love to see that. I guess some of the relatives of uh Questam Solomoni were, Yeah, the guy that got killed during the who is the head of the cuds forces?
00:19:33
Speaker 9: That girl, that girl's in trouble, dam because those pictures go back with her. She's in trouble back there. I hate to see that. But listen, you're right, and there's more of them over here. But I think that I think that, you know, Uh, I remember a couple of times over the last week or so, I've heard people say, well, when the bomb stopped falling, that's when the people are going to rise up. So maybe, okay, maybe, uh they've got some kind of a force of resistance force in in k Rand that's gonna uh, it's gonna come out of the out of the cellars and do something.
00:20:09
Speaker 2: And I hope so, I hope.
00:20:11
Speaker 9: Yeah, member Chelcu remember child chescue over there and wrote what was that at chilches And uh he had his thumb on everything, and by golly, they next thing, you know, him and his wife are swinging so up. Yeah, it can't happen. It can't happen, you know. And uh, but uh, all in all, what what have we learned? Okay, we learned that that uh it's a new age with this air power and this high technology stuff. And my buddy from Texas called me. He's still in the know a little bit. He said, you know, the uh, the C one thirties and the little birds that were stuck in the sand out there. The guys, the guys didn't blow them up themselves.
00:20:55
Speaker 3: They just caught.
00:20:56
Speaker 9: They just said, hey, bring that b one over here. We need to take care of these planes here. We can't leave them here, and it B one bomber took them out.
00:21:02
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm not surprised. And it was great.
00:21:09
Speaker 9: You talk about coordination, All this stuff has been so well coordinated that now if there's thirteen fifteen thousand targets, will figure there's at least thirty thousand planes most probably evolved there. And we lost a few, you know, we lost a few aircraft, but all enough, it's like it's like going.
00:21:30
Speaker 2: In the other thing to remember is that a lot of what was done in Iran was done by Clifton in Serbia and Bostnia back in the nineties, taking bridges out, for example. I didn't hear any calls of war crimes back in those days. I mean, it's like the members of our delegation who was saying we need to invoke the twenty fifth Amendment. Maybe maybe it would be great if the members of our delegation before they I guess they don't have a staff. Okay, because if they read the twenty fifth Amendment, which I doubt think that they have, I mean, let me let me just read it to you here. Well, it's it's kind of long, but it says, uh, do do do do do do do do? Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either of the principal officers of the executive Departments, which means the Cabinet or such body as Congress may provide by law, transmit to the President pro Tem of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives. They're written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. The Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as acting president. Well, you know, I mean, are they dreaming or what I mean? Did they really think that that the that the prompt Cabinet, you know, being led by J. D. Vans, is going to say, let's get this guy out of here. They weren't talking about the twenty fifth Amendment when we had questions about whether or not Joe Biden was compassmentus, were they?
00:23:16
Speaker 9: That's right, hey, Dan. One thing that I couldn't figure out for the last month. Okay, if they kept saying that they got one thousand pounds of UH enriched uranium is sixty percent, And I'm thinking, wait a minute, Okay, so you need about ten or fifteen or twenty percent max to do your UH to have your you know power, your your electricity power. And they got they got they got one thousand pounds of sixty percent. Now how did they get that sixty percent?
00:23:43
Speaker 2: They did it? Oh? No, they they did it secretive, secretively, secretly. Yes, that's all.
00:23:51
Speaker 9: Yes, they did under the noses, under the noses of Obama's inspectors and the United Nations inspectors all over here. We just which which.
00:24:00
Speaker 2: Look over here, right right over here. There were nothing. If nothing's over there, don't worry about that behind that locked door. No, that's nothing. No, that's that's where we came around.
00:24:09
Speaker 9: They let them around, They let them around and let them look in the doors that they wanted to let in it. But you can't look behind that door. And they were full fullish enough to say, okay, we won't look behind that door.
00:24:19
Speaker 2: That was that was all right, Bill, I got to let you run because I got to get rolling here. Okay, man, talk to you soon. Thank you much as always appreciated. Let me go to Michelle in mustain. Michelle, you were next tonights. I'd welcome.
00:24:32
Speaker 10: Thank am, thank you, thank you very much for taking my call.
00:24:35
Speaker 2: Thank you for calling.
00:24:37
Speaker 10: I just wanted to say.
00:24:38
Speaker 11: A couple of things.
00:24:40
Speaker 10: First of all, we shouldn't be questioning this president, or any president for that matter, on any decisions that he's making. The decisions that any president makes are difficult.
00:24:52
Speaker 7: Decisions, to say the leads.
00:24:54
Speaker 10: I can't imagine what they have to choose, you know, what side they have to choose?
00:25:00
Speaker 2: Well, I mean I think I think protest. You know, look, I think I think we have people have write the protest, but they should protest. And certainly if you're a highly if you're a high elected official, I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican. Just consider what we're talking about here. We're not talking about we're in dating Canada, dating Greenland. We're trying, or I shouldn't say we, the Trump administration is trying in conjunction with the state of Israel. UH and with Prime Minister in net Yahoo to keep Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Yes, it's a laudable goal here. It's not like we've decided we're going to bomb the Swiss Alps.
00:25:48
Speaker 11: I mean, and it's not like we were planning that's you know, oh well, let's just decide.
00:25:54
Speaker 9: To bomb Iran. You know, this has been going on for a long.
00:25:57
Speaker 11: Time, and it's about times somebody stepped up to the place and had dealt with it.
00:26:02
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:26:02
Speaker 11: I mean, if I swear, if it wasn't for this president, I see what would have happened.
00:26:06
Speaker 9: I really do.
00:26:07
Speaker 11: Dan, it gives the hell out happened when he's gone.
00:26:10
Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but.
00:26:12
Speaker 2: No, it's terrifying. I mean, you know, he went. You got to give him credit. He went and he met with the dictator in North Korea. Obviously that didn't quite work out. But that little guy's been quiet for the last year or so, hasn't he. I mean, you know, I think that. But it's good to be a little unpredictable. I mean, Joe Biden was very predictable. Barack Obama was very predictable.
00:26:43
Speaker 11: Well, well, anyway, that's all I wanted to say. And just you know, one more thing, you know, instead of protests and against a president or any president that's trying to keep us protected, his country.
00:26:58
Speaker 9: And his people, you know, the Americans protected.
00:27:01
Speaker 11: Why are we protest? Why are people protesting about illegals that are here illegally?
00:27:09
Speaker 7: That's taxes for.
00:27:11
Speaker 11: Everything on top of everything else. And it just reminds me of the story about Caesar saying to the crowd, who do you want me to to crucify Jesus or a murderer?
00:27:24
Speaker 2: Well, I think I don't think. Let's let's not throw that. Let's not throw Caesar under the bus. I think that was I think it was pilot.
00:27:31
Speaker 11: Okay, let's after him.
00:27:37
Speaker 9: I don't know.
00:27:38
Speaker 2: No, Caesar was after I think. But but Caesar, Caesar's hands were cleveland.
00:27:44
Speaker 11: The choices, is what I mean.
00:27:46
Speaker 2: Well, I hear you.
00:27:46
Speaker 11: It would be the better choice.
00:27:48
Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, and in this Easter season a very accurate metaphor. That's that is for sure. In comparison, Michelle, you've got to call more often. I enjoy I enjoy you approach. Thank you so much.
00:28:01
Speaker 9: Okay, thank you very much.
00:28:04
Speaker 2: Have a great night. Okay, I'm gonna take a quick break. Only one line six one seven, four, ten thirty. We got Bob and Rhode Island, we got John and Pennsylvania, got Matt and Florida and Steven New Hampshire. Ladies, don't let the men dominate here one line, ladies six one, seven, two, five, four ten. Look, this could have been a rougher night. Okay, we're all I would hope that everybody could at least take a deep breath of exhale. Maybe not. We'll see coming back.
00:28:34
Speaker 1: It's nice Eye with Dan Ray on w B Boston's news radio.
00:28:38
Speaker 2: It's an interesting night. Let's keep going here. Steve in New Hampshire, Steve next on nights.
00:28:42
Speaker 3: I go right ahead, Hey.
00:28:44
Speaker 2: Dan, I'm doing great, Steve, thank you for your patience. You're up.
00:28:50
Speaker 3: It's a good thing for America with a ceasefire. However, all this, the events over the past you know, several days, I think this was a diversionary tactic on Trump's part because he always says, you never telegraphed to the enemy what your intentions are. So you noticed that he kept emphasizing, you know, what he was going to do to that country. Well, it was to get their attention. And I think that the the humiliation of US rescuing that pilot. You know, that was something that might have you know, made a big difference over what's happened tonight too, because if they had the pilot, you know, they would have something that they could bargain with. Yeah, and they and that was he was so lucky. I mean, I can't they I mean, they went all out. I just can't believe how. You know, that was incredible that.
00:29:43
Speaker 2: The second well both of them, but the second guy particularly badly injured, climbed up seven thousand feet and then found it.
00:29:48
Speaker 3: I don't think I could climb up seven thousand feet in good health. It's like, tell me Mount Washington. So the other thing is, you know, listening to you know, Senator Malarkey and Seth Moulton and all the others, and they it's like they keep talking and talking and they throw all this stuff out there. You know, it's like, you know, Milton was in the military. You know, the commander in chief is Trump. He has all the brief he's he has all the intelligence. They don't have anything. All they're doing is they just hate Trump.
00:30:20
Speaker 7: Well, I.
00:30:22
Speaker 2: Think Moulton's in a tough spot. He's decided to give up his seat in Congress to take on an eighty year old Ed Markey, and he realizes he's got to get somehow to the left of Ed Markey amongst Democratic voters.
00:30:34
Speaker 3: That's pretty hard to do. And then the other thing is, you know, the real target. I mean, I believe that the real key to this whole situation is carg Island. I said it before, I'll say it again. You know, he noticed that when we bombed them, you know, just over the past day, you know, so we didn't go after the refineries. We didn't do anything about that. I think that we were trying to appease China BECAU because China really depends on that low cost oil from Iran. I hope they don't charge some kind of toll to go through the strait of our moods. They were talking about that a million dollars a vessel or something like that.
00:31:14
Speaker 2: I think I think that would break the spirit of the ceasefire, don't you.
00:31:18
Speaker 3: I agree? But they want the money and their their revenue is going right down to nothing. We have decimated that. You know, if we had a way to do a b DA, a bat Battley damage assessment, if we could actually look at Iran. I believe that that country is in really bad shape, really bad, and I think it's going to take years until we and what's gonna happen is we're gonna have to They're gonna have to wait for a bleeding heart liberal you know, to take over maybe in the next four or eight years on our part, to you know, appease them too. I just think they just want a change. They just can't deal with Trump because he won't let them, you know, walk.
00:31:56
Speaker 2: So we can never never forget that the goal here, and the Trump administration has articulated it is to deny Iran the ability to get and control nuclear weapons, and that is critical. I you know, now we could if we can get a differently set of leaders in there, if we could turn a lot of these Arab states, you know, towards Israel, which we've done with the Abraham Accords, why can't it be done with Iran?
00:32:32
Speaker 3: I agree. And the the other thing is, you know, if we could if they cancel their nuclear program and turn over the enriched uranium that your previous caller was talking about one thousand pounds, maybe that would be a good They don't have any good will, I mean they it's death of America and death of Israel.
00:32:50
Speaker 11: Uh.
00:32:50
Speaker 3: The first country, the first place they're going to attack if they ever got a nuclear bomb, would be Tel Aviv.
00:32:55
Speaker 2: They would would, of course, no question. But remember this. You know, we fought a war with North Vietnam. They are now a trading partner. We fought a war with Germany. We fought a war with Japan. They are now are well our allies. Reportedly they wanted to stay out of this, and I can I can understand that this was a big risk that Trump took. So far, it seems to be going. Okay, let's see what happens. Steve, let me scoot here. I want to try to get at least one more in before we got to get a breakaway for the news. Thank you so much for calling. Please continue to call the program.
00:33:32
Speaker 3: Okay, thank you, sir, Thank you for a great night.
00:33:34
Speaker 2: Thank you, my pleasure. John and Pennsylvania. John, want to get you in here before the eleven o'clock news. Go right ahead, John, all right.
00:33:41
Speaker 3: Well.
00:33:42
Speaker 12: In his little expletive leaden tweet on Eastern where he did begin threatening war crimes, he said that they had to open up the Straight of hor moves wasn't just a week prior. He said that the strait of our her moves was not our concern, and that allies and other nations that did ship through there really needed to get together after we were done, and it was going to be their concern.
00:34:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's accurate. That's accurate. And by the way, I'll disagree with you on the war crimes, but I let that go go ahead. I don't want to.
00:34:19
Speaker 12: You can disagree, except we are signatory to the Geneva Convention and accords, and those absolutely stay that you cannot bomb a water desalination plant, let alone threaten to end the civilization.
00:34:35
Speaker 2: Well, first of first, first of all, when he talked about ending the civilization, do you really think that he meant that he was going to use a nuclear weapon to take out ninety million people? Is that is that what you thought he was going to say.
00:34:46
Speaker 12: He was saying, uh, you're not even allowed to threaten it under the accords that we are signatory too. Well, But I but by the way, I do understand, I do understand that he doesn't understand that. I also, by the way, I.
00:35:04
Speaker 2: Don't know how long you've been listening tonight, I could ask you a question. Sure, how many Iranians have we killed in this month of bombing everywhere? So many places? What what is the number of Iranian deaths?
00:35:20
Speaker 12: Do you I don't I don't know what the number of deaths are.
00:35:22
Speaker 2: Do you want to take? Well, what do you think it should be? In terms of this horrific of you know, bombs, We've dropped bombs everywhere. What do you think?
00:35:34
Speaker 12: I don't think there. I don't think we have any particularly reliable points.
00:35:38
Speaker 2: Okay, well, let me ask you this. If I told you this, if I told you, I know you don't want to give me a number. But if I told you that according to al Jazera, will you take al Zazera as a source.
00:35:50
Speaker 12: Yeah, I think they'd be fairly reliable.
00:35:52
Speaker 2: Good, thank you. And they are quoting the Iranian Health Ministry, So the Iranian Health Ministry does not have, I think, an incentive to downplay the number of deaths. If anything would be the opposite. We have sunk. I think it's one hundred and fifty two vessels. Now some of those vessels might be small, little dinghies, but some of those vessels are actually really navy ships.
00:36:18
Speaker 12: And we we have bombed.
00:36:22
Speaker 2: We have bombed all sorts of facilities, and in that process we have killed a grand total of two thousand, according to Iranian Health, two thousand and seventy six Iranians. That includes like the fifty four that we whacked that first morning at the meeting. There's been a lot of precision bombing here, and we did. We did hit that school, which killed I think it was about seventy five young girls, which is a tragedy. But of course I wish that the Iranian government hadn't built the school next or put in IRG headquarters next to the school that you know. I don't think we hit that school intentionally if we weren't trying to run up.
00:37:04
Speaker 12: I don't believe so either.
00:37:05
Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you very much. Well, that's great that we get some agreement there all of the things. I think we've been philly discreet in what we've hit so far. And you know what.
00:37:16
Speaker 12: To do with what does that have to do with the veracity of what I just said and the accuracy of what I just said.
00:37:23
Speaker 2: Which which which accuracy my taking?
00:37:26
Speaker 12: Okay, it is against Okay, we were sanatory to the Geneva Accords, correct, Okay, his statements, his little geriatric temper tantrum where he was threatening desalination plants and civilian infrastructure, and then the whole threat to in civilization.
00:37:44
Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, those.
00:37:45
Speaker 12: Very statements, aside from being completely unworthy in the way he expressed them, of the.
00:37:51
Speaker 2: US President, Yeah, I think he was trying to get their attention. I think it was. I think he was, and I think he did get their attention.
00:37:57
Speaker 12: That he had to say, he had to say, asked, couldn't even spell that correctly.
00:38:04
Speaker 2: I think it was usually the New York Dictionary to sell it. I will you know what my Virginias went to were indented on that one.
00:38:11
Speaker 12: If he wants to if he wants to mock their religion by saying, you know, uh, someone could let them know that they speak farcie on Arabic, so it would be uh, praise be Coda, not praise be Allah. Allah is Arabic for God, Coda is Farsi for God. They're Persians, not Arabic.
00:38:28
Speaker 2: But I think most Americans understand that when someone does something uh and uh and is going ala aliak ali bach akbar, and when they talk about Allah, I understand they speak Farsi I did not know what the word for God was in FARSI thank you for illuminating that for me. I don't think most Americans know that either, John, I gotta go. I think you made a bunch of interesting points. Was Clinton guilty of war crimes in Serbia and Bosnia? And your opinion in the in the late seven in the late nineties.
00:39:02
Speaker 12: Not so long as the military. Okay, you can attack bridges, for example, there are places in that can are dull use, that can be attacked. All sorts of regulations regarding what you can and cannot do, according to the Geneva Corps.
00:39:14
Speaker 2: Do me a favorite. Once he does it, then then we'll talk about it.
00:39:17
Speaker 12: Okay, Yeah, it's it's uh, it's considered a violation even the threatening right.
00:39:23
Speaker 2: As I say, again, you know Iran is you know, John, let me tell you maybe maybe we should have gotten Roosevelt for bombing Dresden. Did we carpet bomb Bresdent Dresden? After World War Two? There's there's a lot of stuff that goes on in war that's pretty ugly, John, Okay, including including you know, everything that this this other government has done. They just killed anywhere from thirty two to forty five thousand of their own citizens. I got to run John up against it. I always enjoy your calls thanke Care. Thank you. Here comes to news
