ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode, we interview Haylie Western, who served faithfully for 18 months in Paraguay. She shares how, as she was landing in the country, she wondered if she could really do something so difficult—and how she learned to turn to the Lord for help.
Just a few months later, Haylie and her companion found a man who accepted the gospel, and it felt like everything was moving in a great direction. But only a few weeks later, she was bitten by a spider, which landed her in the hospital and brought serious concerns about her health. In fact, it nearly cost her the opportunity to continue her mission.
Listen as Hailey shares how that difficult trial transformed her and helped her become a more compassionate and loving sister missionary—one who deeply loved her companions and the people of Paraguay.
