00:00:07.759 --> 00:00:09.199
Hello sweet souls.
00:00:09.359 --> 00:00:15.759
Welcome to Minding My Manifestation, where I take you along with me on my manifestation and spiritual journey while also helping to guide you through yours.
00:00:16.000 --> 00:00:23.440
If you're ready to create new habits, discover deeper truths, expand your mind, and become the best version of yourself one day at a time, then this podcast is for you.
00:00:23.600 --> 00:00:32.240
Each week, I'll discuss my inner standing of the world around us, manifestation, and how you can shift your current patterns of thinking and being to align more deeply with your soul's purpose.
00:00:32.479 --> 00:00:38.000
Think of this podcast as your weekly dose of how you can change the world around you by changing the world within you.
00:00:38.240 --> 00:00:39.359
So grateful you're here.
00:00:39.600 --> 00:00:40.880
Let's get into it.
00:00:42.000 --> 00:00:44.560
Hello, sweet souls, and welcome back.
00:00:44.880 --> 00:00:48.479
So we are still in the Grateful For September episodes.
00:00:48.560 --> 00:00:58.000
And today I wanted to talk to you about being grateful for what you have here and now today versus constantly chasing what's next.
00:00:58.960 --> 00:01:01.119
And so let's get into it.
00:01:01.439 --> 00:01:03.200
I want to ask you a question.
00:01:03.520 --> 00:01:10.799
Have you ever stopped and realized that something you have right now was once something you really desired at a time?
00:01:11.040 --> 00:01:14.719
You used to think about it all the time, you used to visualize it.
00:01:14.879 --> 00:01:18.640
You could feel yourself in the moment of having what you have now.
00:01:18.799 --> 00:01:21.040
And maybe that was your relationship.
00:01:21.280 --> 00:01:28.480
Maybe it was money or the opportunity, whatever it was, you once desired it, and now you are living it.
00:01:29.120 --> 00:01:36.799
And once we have it, it can become very easy to immediately look for the next thing, right?
00:01:36.959 --> 00:01:42.879
You're looking for the next thing to achieve, the next goal, the next milestone, the next version of yourself.
00:01:43.519 --> 00:01:55.840
And I think this is where gratitude becomes really important because sometimes it's not that we're lacking gratitude, it's that we have stopped looking at how far we've come and what's already changed.
00:01:56.079 --> 00:01:59.519
We are constantly creating new reference points.
00:01:59.760 --> 00:02:02.480
Think about a goal you had a few years ago.
00:02:02.799 --> 00:02:07.200
At the time, the goal probably felt really big and just really juicy, right?
00:02:07.280 --> 00:02:09.120
Like you're just, you couldn't wait to get there.
00:02:09.280 --> 00:02:12.960
And say now that you have already achieved that goal.
00:02:13.360 --> 00:02:18.879
Once you're standing there, you are no longer comparing your life to where you once started.
00:02:19.520 --> 00:02:24.080
You're comparing yourself to now where you're going and what's next.
00:02:24.319 --> 00:02:26.479
Okay, that becomes your new reference point.
00:02:26.639 --> 00:02:34.800
And so instead of thinking, wow, look how far I've come, you're now thinking, okay, but look how far I still have left to go.
00:02:35.120 --> 00:02:38.560
And I know this feeling because I do it constantly.
00:02:38.719 --> 00:02:39.680
And that's no shame.
00:02:39.759 --> 00:02:40.479
We're human.
00:02:40.639 --> 00:02:48.800
So sometimes this is just how our mind thinks, but that can completely change the way you experience your own progress.
00:02:49.520 --> 00:02:57.439
Now, with that being said, unintentionally, sometimes our goal moves without us knowing.
00:02:57.680 --> 00:03:00.080
I'll use a follower count, for example.
00:03:00.319 --> 00:03:03.439
Your first goal is 100, and then you finally get there.
00:03:03.680 --> 00:03:07.120
And at the moment, like starting from zero, you're like, this feels huge, right?
00:03:07.199 --> 00:03:08.479
Like I made 100 followers.
00:03:08.639 --> 00:03:15.360
But then slowly it changes into, okay, now I need to get 500 and 1,000 and 5,000 and 10,000 and 100,000, right?
00:03:15.599 --> 00:03:18.159
It just continuously moves up.
00:03:18.879 --> 00:03:23.520
Nothing really happened to your original achievement.
00:03:23.759 --> 00:03:28.479
It's just that the standard you were measuring it against changed.
00:03:28.800 --> 00:03:38.800
There is nothing necessarily wrong with wanting growth because I feel like as humans, we just constantly are looking for how to improve and how to do something better.
00:03:39.280 --> 00:03:49.120
I think the problem comes when every new goal makes the previous accomplishment feel less than, so to speak.
00:03:49.759 --> 00:03:57.680
And sometimes we mistake wanting more into what I have or what I've done isn't enough.
00:03:58.479 --> 00:04:10.479
And I know that I am guilty of this, but I think a lot of us believe that because we're ambitious and we want to go out and achieve things and improve things and constantly be learning and expanding, right?
00:04:11.039 --> 00:04:18.800
Because of this thinking, we believe we should always be moving and working towards the next thing and the next goal.
00:04:19.120 --> 00:04:21.360
But those are not the same things.
00:04:21.920 --> 00:04:28.240
You can deeply appreciate, love, and respect your current life and still want to expand it.
00:04:28.480 --> 00:04:33.920
You can be proud of who you've become and still be becoming someone new, right?
00:04:34.000 --> 00:04:36.560
Like I feel like that's where I'm at in my stage of life.
00:04:36.720 --> 00:04:43.279
Like I love myself, but I am open for expanding and becoming more.
00:04:44.160 --> 00:04:50.399
And so gratitude doesn't require that you stop desiring things.
00:04:51.360 --> 00:04:58.480
If anything, it actually requires that you notice what you already have while desiring more.
00:04:58.879 --> 00:05:06.160
Now, I kind of want to talk about where manifestation can feel like you're endlessly chasing goals.
00:05:06.319 --> 00:05:16.160
In a lot of manifestation spaces, there is so much focus on your next desire and what you're calling in next and what your dream life looks like.
00:05:16.319 --> 00:05:16.560
Right.
00:05:16.720 --> 00:05:18.240
And there is nothing wrong with that.
00:05:18.399 --> 00:05:19.360
I love manifestation.
00:05:19.519 --> 00:05:22.160
I mean, it's literally in the in the name.
00:05:22.639 --> 00:05:36.160
But I will say that sometimes when we're so focused on what's next and what our future holds, sometimes it allows for us to avoid feeling grateful for right now.
00:05:36.319 --> 00:05:38.800
I love dreaming and I love setting intentions.
00:05:38.959 --> 00:05:40.959
I love thinking about where I'm going next.
00:05:41.279 --> 00:05:48.160
But there has to be a moment where we actually receive what we said we desired, right?
00:05:48.959 --> 00:05:50.319
I'm gonna say that again.
00:05:50.560 --> 00:05:57.680
There has to be a moment where we actually receive what we said we desired.
00:05:58.000 --> 00:05:58.319
Okay.
00:05:58.720 --> 00:06:02.480
Otherwise, the practice just becomes like a cycle, right?
00:06:02.639 --> 00:06:05.439
A cycle of I desire this, I get it, I move on.
00:06:05.600 --> 00:06:07.920
And it just continues on in a loop.
00:06:08.160 --> 00:06:13.279
And then we start living our entire lives in pursuit of a future version of happiness.
00:06:13.519 --> 00:06:26.399
And so when we're so focused on future desires, future things, once we've accomplished and reached that goal, we don't even give ourselves like time to fully embrace the fact that we did it.
00:06:26.959 --> 00:06:33.279
Sometimes gratitude is just even reminding yourself of your old perspective.
00:06:33.519 --> 00:06:33.839
Okay.
00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:43.600
One of the easiest ways to reconnect with gratitude is just to remember what your current life looked like from like an older version of you, right?
00:06:43.759 --> 00:06:45.519
Three years, five years ago.
00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:47.439
What was she thinking about?
00:06:47.600 --> 00:06:49.199
What was she worried about?
00:06:49.439 --> 00:06:51.439
What was she hoping would happen?
00:06:51.600 --> 00:06:54.319
And now look back to your current life, right?
00:06:54.560 --> 00:07:09.439
Of course, maybe not everything happened exactly, and your life could look completely different from what you've imagined, but there are probably pieces of it that your past self would immediately recognize as progress and improvement.
00:07:09.600 --> 00:07:13.199
And I think the perspective shift is gratitude.
00:07:13.600 --> 00:07:20.639
So I challenge you to celebrate your evidence and your proof before wondering and worrying about what is next.
00:07:20.800 --> 00:07:24.240
I think we need to get better at letting evidence count.
00:07:24.800 --> 00:07:31.040
Maybe the goal hasn't fully happened yet, but think about what is already changing now, right?
00:07:31.199 --> 00:07:34.639
Maybe you're handling things differently than you used to, right?
00:07:34.879 --> 00:07:40.319
Even if you aren't where you want to be necessarily, you're definitely not where you started.
00:07:40.480 --> 00:07:43.199
And I think that deserves an applause.
00:07:43.839 --> 00:07:48.639
So get used to applauding yourself for even the small things.
00:07:48.879 --> 00:07:49.199
Okay.
00:07:49.839 --> 00:07:54.480
And now we're gonna do a little practice that I want you to take with you.
00:07:55.839 --> 00:08:04.319
You're gonna sit down or just pause and think about what do I have now that a past version of me once desired?
00:08:04.560 --> 00:08:07.279
And I don't want you to only think about material things.
00:08:07.519 --> 00:08:15.040
I want you to get real serious and think about relationships, your confidence, your boundaries, your peace, your patience.
00:08:15.199 --> 00:08:27.199
Maybe you're living through something right now that an older version of you would have been so proud to know that you did it and you made it and you survived and you got here.
00:08:27.519 --> 00:08:30.879
Or maybe you're doing something that once terrified you.
00:08:31.040 --> 00:08:37.360
But whatever it is, I want you to think about it and really feel the appreciation for having done it.
00:08:37.679 --> 00:08:44.240
And now that's going to be followed up with this next question, which is what have I stopped celebrating?
00:08:45.600 --> 00:08:47.440
What have I normalized?
00:08:47.679 --> 00:08:52.320
What did I receive that I barely allowed myself to enjoy?
00:08:54.320 --> 00:08:57.440
Let that marinate and then sit with it.
00:08:58.639 --> 00:09:08.639
And that's not because you're done growing, it's just because there is a version of your life right now that deserves to be witnessed through you.
00:09:09.200 --> 00:09:14.480
And so, my loves, I just want you to know that there will always be another goal.
00:09:15.679 --> 00:09:23.759
There will always be another version of you, another number, another milestone, another thing that you want to achieve.
00:09:25.039 --> 00:09:33.279
But if you wait until everything is complete before you allow yourself to feel grateful for this moment, you may never actually arrive.
00:09:33.440 --> 00:09:46.320
And sometimes, honestly, the practice is looking around you right now, looking at something simple, something, you know, ordinary, and understanding and saying that this is something too and that this counts.
00:09:46.639 --> 00:10:05.120
And so while I'm all about new goals and next levels and improved versions of yourself, before you write down everything that you want next, I want you to pause and take a minute to write down everything you wanted once and now already have.
00:10:05.360 --> 00:10:08.240
Not because your next goal isn't going to matter.
00:10:08.559 --> 00:10:12.000
It does, but so is a life that you're standing in right now.
00:10:12.159 --> 00:10:13.039
It matters.
00:10:13.279 --> 00:10:14.399
And you matter.
00:10:14.639 --> 00:10:20.799
And the things that you've done with your life up until now should be recognized, especially by you.
00:10:22.720 --> 00:10:24.399
Alright, sweet souls.
00:10:24.720 --> 00:10:26.159
Until next time.
00:10:26.559 --> 00:10:30.480
If something I said today resonated with you, take it as a sign.
00:10:30.720 --> 00:10:32.480
You were meant to be here.
00:10:32.639 --> 00:10:40.879
I'd love if you'd subscribe so we can keep exploring the truths beneath the noise, unlearning what we've been taught, and remembering who we really are.
00:10:41.120 --> 00:10:45.360
If you want to connect more, you can find me over on Instagram at Minding My Manifestation.

Until next time.
00:00:07.759 --> 00:00:09.199

Let's get into it.
00:00:42.000 --> 00:00:44.560
Hello, sweet souls, and welcome back.
00:00:44.880 --> 00:00:48.479
So we are still in the Grateful For September episodes.
00:00:48.560 --> 00:00:58.000
And today I wanted to talk to you about being grateful for what you have here and now today versus constantly chasing what's next.
00:00:58.960 --> 00:01:01.119
And so let's get into it.
00:01:01.439 --> 00:01:03.200
I want to ask you a question.
00:01:03.520 --> 00:01:10.799
Have you ever stopped and realized that something you have right now was once something you really desired at a time?
00:01:11.040 --> 00:01:14.719
You used to think about it all the time, you used to visualize it.
00:01:14.879 --> 00:01:18.640
You could feel yourself in the moment of having what you have now.
00:01:18.799 --> 00:01:21.040
And maybe that was your relationship.
00:01:21.280 --> 00:01:28.480
Maybe it was money or the opportunity, whatever it was, you once desired it, and now you are living it.
00:01:29.120 --> 00:01:36.799
And once we have it, it can become very easy to immediately look for the next thing, right?
00:01:36.959 --> 00:01:42.879
You're looking for the next thing to achieve, the next goal, the next milestone, the next version of yourself.
00:01:43.519 --> 00:01:55.840
And I think this is where gratitude becomes really important because sometimes it's not that we're lacking gratitude, it's that we have stopped looking at how far we've come and what's already changed.
00:01:56.079 --> 00:01:59.519
We are constantly creating new reference points.
00:01:59.760 --> 00:02:02.480
Think about a goal you had a few years ago.
00:02:02.799 --> 00:02:07.200
At the time, the goal probably felt really big and just really juicy, right?
00:02:07.280 --> 00:02:09.120
Like you're just, you couldn't wait to get there.
00:02:09.280 --> 00:02:12.960
And say now that you have already achieved that goal.
00:02:13.360 --> 00:02:18.879
Once you're standing there, you are no longer comparing your life to where you once started.
00:02:19.520 --> 00:02:24.080
You're comparing yourself to now where you're going and what's next.
00:02:24.319 --> 00:02:26.479
Okay, that becomes your new reference point.
00:02:26.639 --> 00:02:34.800
And so instead of thinking, wow, look how far I've come, you're now thinking, okay, but look how far I still have left to go.
00:02:35.120 --> 00:02:38.560
And I know this feeling because I do it constantly.
00:02:38.719 --> 00:02:39.680
And that's no shame.
00:02:39.759 --> 00:02:40.479
We're human.
00:02:40.639 --> 00:02:48.800
So sometimes this is just how our mind thinks, but that can completely change the way you experience your own progress.
00:02:49.520 --> 00:02:57.439
Now, with that being said, unintentionally, sometimes our goal moves without us knowing.
00:02:57.680 --> 00:03:00.080
I'll use a follower count, for example.
00:03:00.319 --> 00:03:03.439
Your first goal is 100, and then you finally get there.
00:03:03.680 --> 00:03:07.120
And at the moment, like starting from zero, you're like, this feels huge, right?
00:03:07.199 --> 00:03:08.479
Like I made 100 followers.
00:03:08.639 --> 00:03:15.360
But then slowly it changes into, okay, now I need to get 500 and 1,000 and 5,000 and 10,000 and 100,000, right?
00:03:15.599 --> 00:03:18.159
It just continuously moves up.
00:03:18.879 --> 00:03:23.520
Nothing really happened to your original achievement.
00:03:23.759 --> 00:03:28.479
It's just that the standard you were measuring it against changed.
00:03:28.800 --> 00:03:38.800
There is nothing necessarily wrong with wanting growth because I feel like as humans, we just constantly are looking for how to improve and how to do something better.
00:03:39.280 --> 00:03:49.120
I think the problem comes when every new goal makes the previous accomplishment feel less than, so to speak.
00:03:49.759 --> 00:03:57.680
And sometimes we mistake wanting more into what I have or what I've done isn't enough.
00:03:58.479 --> 00:04:10.479
And I know that I am guilty of this, but I think a lot of us believe that because we're ambitious and we want to go out and achieve things and improve things and constantly be learning and expanding, right?
00:04:11.039 --> 00:04:18.800
Because of this thinking, we believe we should always be moving and working towards the next thing and the next goal.
00:04:19.120 --> 00:04:21.360
But those are not the same things.
00:04:21.920 --> 00:04:28.240
You can deeply appreciate, love, and respect your current life and still want to expand it.
00:04:28.480 --> 00:04:33.920
You can be proud of who you've become and still be becoming someone new, right?
00:04:34.000 --> 00:04:36.560
Like I feel like that's where I'm at in my stage of life.
00:04:36.720 --> 00:04:43.279
Like I love myself, but I am open for expanding and becoming more.
00:04:44.160 --> 00:04:50.399
And so gratitude doesn't require that you stop desiring things.
00:04:51.360 --> 00:04:58.480
If anything, it actually requires that you notice what you already have while desiring more.
00:04:58.879 --> 00:05:06.160
Now, I kind of want to talk about where manifestation can feel like you're endlessly chasing goals.
00:05:06.319 --> 00:05:16.160
In a lot of manifestation spaces, there is so much focus on your next desire and what you're calling in next and what your dream life looks like.
00:05:16.319 --> 00:05:16.560
Right.
00:05:16.720 --> 00:05:18.240
And there is nothing wrong with that.
00:05:18.399 --> 00:05:19.360
I love manifestation.
00:05:19.519 --> 00:05:22.160
I mean, it's literally in the in the name.
00:05:22.639 --> 00:05:36.160
But I will say that sometimes when we're so focused on what's next and what our future holds, sometimes it allows for us to avoid feeling grateful for right now.
00:05:36.319 --> 00:05:38.800
I love dreaming and I love setting intentions.
00:05:38.959 --> 00:05:40.959
I love thinking about where I'm going next.
00:05:41.279 --> 00:05:48.160
But there has to be a moment where we actually receive what we said we desired, right?
00:05:48.959 --> 00:05:50.319
I'm gonna say that again.
00:05:50.560 --> 00:05:57.680
There has to be a moment where we actually receive what we said we desired.
00:05:58.000 --> 00:05:58.319
Okay.
00:05:58.720 --> 00:06:02.480
Otherwise, the practice just becomes like a cycle, right?
00:06:02.639 --> 00:06:05.439
A cycle of I desire this, I get it, I move on.
00:06:05.600 --> 00:06:07.920
And it just continues on in a loop.
00:06:08.160 --> 00:06:13.279
And then we start living our entire lives in pursuit of a future version of happiness.
00:06:13.519 --> 00:06:26.399
And so when we're so focused on future desires, future things, once we've accomplished and reached that goal, we don't even give ourselves like time to fully embrace the fact that we did it.
00:06:26.959 --> 00:06:33.279
Sometimes gratitude is just even reminding yourself of your old perspective.
00:06:33.519 --> 00:06:33.839
Okay.
00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:43.600
One of the easiest ways to reconnect with gratitude is just to remember what your current life looked like from like an older version of you, right?
00:06:43.759 --> 00:06:45.519
Three years, five years ago.
00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:47.439
What was she thinking about?
00:06:47.600 --> 00:06:49.199
What was she worried about?
00:06:49.439 --> 00:06:51.439
What was she hoping would happen?
00:06:51.600 --> 00:06:54.319
And now look back to your current life, right?
00:06:54.560 --> 00:07:09.439
Of course, maybe not everything happened exactly, and your life could look completely different from what you've imagined, but there are probably pieces of it that your past self would immediately recognize as progress and improvement.
00:07:09.600 --> 00:07:13.199
And I think the perspective shift is gratitude.
00:07:13.600 --> 00:07:20.639
So I challenge you to celebrate your evidence and your proof before wondering and worrying about what is next.
00:07:20.800 --> 00:07:24.240
I think we need to get better at letting evidence count.
00:07:24.800 --> 00:07:31.040
Maybe the goal hasn't fully happened yet, but think about what is already changing now, right?
00:07:31.199 --> 00:07:34.639
Maybe you're handling things differently than you used to, right?
00:07:34.879 --> 00:07:40.319
Even if you aren't where you want to be necessarily, you're definitely not where you started.
00:07:40.480 --> 00:07:43.199
And I think that deserves an applause.
00:07:43.839 --> 00:07:48.639
So get used to applauding yourself for even the small things.
00:07:48.879 --> 00:07:49.199
Okay.
00:07:49.839 --> 00:07:54.480
And now we're gonna do a little practice that I want you to take with you.
00:07:55.839 --> 00:08:04.319
You're gonna sit down or just pause and think about what do I have now that a past version of me once desired?
00:08:04.560 --> 00:08:07.279
And I don't want you to only think about material things.
00:08:07.519 --> 00:08:15.040
I want you to get real serious and think about relationships, your confidence, your boundaries, your peace, your patience.
00:08:15.199 --> 00:08:27.199
Maybe you're living through something right now that an older version of you would have been so proud to know that you did it and you made it and you survived and you got here.
00:08:27.519 --> 00:08:30.879
Or maybe you're doing something that once terrified you.
00:08:31.040 --> 00:08:37.360
But whatever it is, I want you to think about it and really feel the appreciation for having done it.
00:08:37.679 --> 00:08:44.240
And now that's going to be followed up with this next question, which is what have I stopped celebrating?
00:08:45.600 --> 00:08:47.440
What have I normalized?
00:08:47.679 --> 00:08:52.320
What did I receive that I barely allowed myself to enjoy?
00:08:54.320 --> 00:08:57.440
Let that marinate and then sit with it.
00:08:58.639 --> 00:09:08.639
And that's not because you're done growing, it's just because there is a version of your life right now that deserves to be witnessed through you.
00:09:09.200 --> 00:09:14.480
And so, my loves, I just want you to know that there will always be another goal.
00:09:15.679 --> 00:09:23.759
There will always be another version of you, another number, another milestone, another thing that you want to achieve.
00:09:25.039 --> 00:09:33.279
But if you wait until everything is complete before you allow yourself to feel grateful for this moment, you may never actually arrive.
00:09:33.440 --> 00:09:46.320
And sometimes, honestly, the practice is looking around you right now, looking at something simple, something, you know, ordinary, and understanding and saying that this is something too and that this counts.
00:09:46.639 --> 00:10:05.120
And so while I'm all about new goals and next levels and improved versions of yourself, before you write down everything that you want next, I want you to pause and take a minute to write down everything you wanted once and now already have.
00:10:05.360 --> 00:10:08.240
Not because your next goal isn't going to matter.
00:10:08.559 --> 00:10:12.000
It does, but so is a life that you're standing in right now.
00:10:12.159 --> 00:10:13.039
It matters.
00:10:13.279 --> 00:10:14.399
And you matter.
00:10:14.639 --> 00:10:20.799
And the things that you've done with your life up until now should be recognized, especially by you.
00:10:22.720 --> 00:10:24.399
Alright, sweet souls.
00:10:24.720 --> 00:10:26.159
Until next time.
00:10:26.559 --> 00:10:30.480
If something I said today resonated with you, take it as a sign.
00:10:30.720 --> 00:10:32.480
You were meant to be here.
