ABOUT THIS EPISODE
On Episode 60 of Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio, we’re pitching the toy properties we think deserve their own movies and TV shows.
Jon makes the case for a full-blown G.I. Joe: Classified movie with the spirit and tone of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, complete with his picks for director, writer, and composer. Christian takes a completely different approach and pitches an animated series based on the Fisher-Price Great Adventures Castle.
Then we break down the biggest action figure news of the week, including upcoming G.I. Joe Classified, McFarlane DC Multiverse, NECA TMNT, Boss Fight Studio Signature Series Ultimo Dragon, and BigBadToyStore’s BigBad Launch Pad, their new crowdfunding platform in the spirit of HasLab.
In the main event, Jon counts down his Top 10 wrestling matches of all time and pairs each one with the most accurate action figures available to recreate the match on the shelf. The list includes Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin, The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25, Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty 2024, and more legendary matches from WWE, AEW, ROH, WCW, and beyond.
If you collect wrestling figures, G.I. Joe, DC Multiverse, TMNT, vintage toys, or modern action figures, this episode is packed with toy news, nostalgia, fantasy casting, and some of the greatest wrestling matches ever recreated in plastic.
